Chit-Chat: The Feels

Plus, there was also concern that the heavy military equipment would tear up the streets. This is disgusting. The creep who didn't show up when the plane carrying the deceased soldiers landed, who said that military people were suckers and losers, is going to get his military parade? I hope it rains bigly that day.

The Mad King had this to say about the potential stock market crash:

“The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO. Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid! Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!). Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!” Trump on Truth Social.

Unlike the Mad King I don't entirely understand what is going to happen if he goes through with the 50% tariff on China he's now blathering about.  But won't that mean that just about every product in the dollar stores, a crap load of the stuff sold on Amazon and at Walmart - and well you name it - will have their prices go up?  So effectively a tax on the poor and the middle class?

I'm sure that trump cheated. And it was there. I'm in Ohio, and there was a lot of energy and excitement/hope here.

Sherrod Brown losing convinced me things weren't on the up and up in Ohio.

Trump doesn't care about poor and middle class people.  The people he cares about donates to bribes him so right now they are probably being vultures buying up cheap stocks.

Even the Los Angeles Dodgers couldn’t escape the lunatic clown show

They accepted an invitation to the WH to celebrate their 2024 World Series win where the most embarrassing man to ever be president couldn’t even try to be gracious

He insulted both of CA senators threw in some crazy baseball talk shook hands with some of the players then went on a rant about the price of eggs and praise for his ag secretary

To be honest the players standing behind him laughed at some of his bat shit crazy performance so that was pretty awful on the other hand maybe they didn’t know how to react

Eagles you’re up next

Ugh. I’m not happy with any organization that goes but watching the team that prides itself on being Jackie Robinson’s team do this is particularly revolting. And next week they are going to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day like this administration didn’t try to erase his accomplishments.

Most of the players I like did look they were having a hard time stomaching it though.

Well hey they decided not to erase Jackie Robinson but to hell with Harriet Tubman

Over the weekend the National Park Services removed references to Harriet Tubman from the Underground Railroad web page

It says the National Park Services did this but it’s so sickening to think that something beloved like the National Parks have to take part in destroying any American history that Trump deems not white enough

Jr is going to have the CDC stop recommending that fluoride be put in water

The Trump administration is formally taking on fluoride in drinking water with Jr planning on telling the CDC to end it’s longtime recommendation for the practice

On Monday Jr joined Utah lawmakers in a media event to praise the state’s first fluoride ban in public water systems.

Jr is planning on assembling a task force to examine the mineral in drinking water and tell the CDC to stop recommending it

(I’m sure that will be in independent study that will not be influenced by Jr)

Good thing we're saving so much money in other areas so we can waste it on a military parade.

But it's only going to cost $92 million dollars.  And it's going to be on his birthday.  A small price to pay to honour and celebrate everyone's favourite president.

Kim Jong Un is going to be so jelly.

I don't think everyone knows this, I think most people assume he is the inventor of it all.

He is another con artist. Convinced people he is some sort of quirky genius when in reality he is a dangerous mad man who's money gives him credibility with way too many people.  Him and Trump have a lot in common.

Trump planning military parade through DC for 79th birthday

You know who has military parades to celebrate their birthdays?  Dictators. Trump is so such a delusional narcissist he thinks making someone do something for him means they want to do something for him.  Are they going to have actors lined up along the parade route which is supposed to be miles long? Or is MAGA going to make the pilgrimage to Trump land?  Because you know someone is going to come up with a bill to change Washington DC to Trumplandia.

If it is also in honor of the rmy it may increse turnout.

Yeah, but Vance is also scary. Scarier maybe. Trump is laughably predictable. Vance believes a lot of destructive things.

The big advantage with Vance (aside from Trump being gone) is no one likes him.  He doesn't have the cult following that Trump does.  Although that said he can do a lot of damage in the time he has in office.

I agree.  All we can really hope for at this point is that the Cult of Donald Trump ends with Donald Trump and that it is non-transferable.  🤞

Yes but he isn't a leader.  He would be in over his head.  In a different than Trump being in over his head.

A lot of MAGA doesn't trust him. And Don Jr is said to have been the one to recommend Vance to daddy.  He is also beholden to Peter Thiel.  Vance is a shape-shifter.  He will be whoever he needs to be.

I think it dies with him.  They might not literally follow him into death but their loyalty is to him.  Not the Republican party.  Not conservatism. But to him. Now Republican politicians might finally breathe a sigh of relief.  Until they realize all those MAGA votes doesn't necessarily transfer to them.

Dumb nickname. Spot-on analysis and burn, but “traitor” implies she had values that she rejected. I figure she’s always been a hateful, cauldron-stirring witch.

And most kids graduate at 17 or 18.  If she stayed in high school till 20 that explains a lot.

I know I shouldn't comment on her looks but they say as you get older you get the face you deserve and by the looks of her im going to have to agree.

Musk calls Navarro "moron" as trade spat intensifies

In 'broken clock is sometimes correct' news (just happens that in this case there are two broken clocks):

Quote

Elon Musk escalated his war of words with Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro on Tuesday, calling him "truly a moron" and "dumber than a sack of bricks" over comments about Musk's businesses.

&

Quote

Navarro, in TV appearances in recent days, pushed back, saying Musk wasn't a car manufacturer, just an assembler of parts.

I miss the days when I barely ever thought of Elon Musk. And I'm proud to say I never thought of him as some genius.

Same.

When I said something to my dad, about Ted Cruz, recently, he asked me who he was.  I asked if he was serious.  He pays attention, he reads the news.  He was serious.

He may also be faking it.  Who knows?  In any case, the stock market’s horrible and people are already p!$$ed.  Their retirement savings/pensions are going down the drain in a world where people are already counting every penny they have.

Can trump's cabinet be any more out of touch?  It was bad enough the comments Commerce secretary Lutnick said about social security (his mom wouldn't complain if she missed a social security check and that only fraudsters woud) now he's out with comments how robots will man all the new factories that will be built because of these tariffs.  Then we have the Treasury Secretary Besset say that he doesn't think people considering retirement don't  check their 401s and the administration is putting the US on a course for economic security.  His whole Sunday interview (you can find on youtube) is just one big WHAT???

Well Besset maybe if I was worth 500 millions I wouldn't be concerned about the day to day stock market.

There is not one cabinet secretary that is worthy or capable of their job.

Trump really looks horrible in those pictures.  For someone who always degrades people by commenting on their looks - he needs to look in a full length mirror.
