Between this space and that darn Mexican restaurant they really have no where to go in public? 7 Link to comment

Meow Mix November 7 Share November 7 (edited) 6 hours ago, Kellyee said: I think that neither Meri or Christine were cut out for polygamy, despite how they were raised. Meri reacted to an additional wife (who was also her brother's ex) with jealousy and controlling/manipulative behavior. Christine reacted by trying to get more of her husband's time and mostly rejecting Robyn from the start. In different environments, they both behave very differently. I'm glad we are seeing a different side of Meri. Polygamy assumes that someone can get past the jealousy of having to share a spouse (especially when the sharing isn't even equal). Not everyone can do that. Janelle seems cut out for polygamy though, because she seems to love time to herself and the ability to make all her own decisions. I think all 3 ex-wives are happier and better off without Kody. I agree with this especially for Meri. She was 19 when she married Kody and went along with polygamy because it was how she was raised and because it was what he wanted. She was understandably insecure and unfortunately made some awful choices with the other wives. I also don't think she was cut out to have a bunch of feral kids running around. Meri likes things just so and that's not going to happen with a huge number of kids. I think if she had been allowed to grow into herself before marrying she would have made very different choices. 2 hours ago, Irate Panda said: I missed it what did Paedon say about being elderly? He was making fun of his grandfather around giving Christine his blessing to marry David. He mocked him for taking a long time to rise from a chair. It was tacky. He also said that David was old which is ridiculous because David was in his late 50s when this was filmed. Of course to people in the 20s, that is probably one foot in the grave. Denize November 7 Share November 7 (edited) During the wedding episode, didn't Christine say that her father had cancer and that is why she was worried he wouldn't be able to walk her down the aisle? They both walked her down the aisle, but her father looked quite frail. Paedon is a jerk. Edited November 7 by Denize 10 Link to comment

I mostly just read here to keep up. Thanks. 1 Link to comment

However, the wedding episode was aired before this season and is chronologically later, so the cancer diagnosis may not have been known at the time of this episode. 2 Link to comment
ginger90 November 7 Share November 7 I don’t recall Christine mentioning cancer, I thought she said he wasn’t doing well. I guess I missed that. 3 Link to comment
SunnyBeBe November 7 Share November 7 And, what’s so negative about being a baby boomer? Man, they don’t get that aging is inevitable. It’s not a bad thing. It’s a blessing. 12 Link to comment

No old men need apply. 8 Link to comment
Shauna November 7 Share November 7 Between calling David Richard and saying he's too old, I can see why some call Paedon an ass. They are right. 9 2 Link to comment
smarty November 7 Share November 7 What were they eating in the scene with David and the family? Christine called it Japanese Sundaes. She said something about chinese noodles, chicken, cheese, soup, almonds and pineapple if I heard her correctly. Did she mean the hard crunchy chinese noodles or lo mein type noodles? I'm having a hard time picturing what it is. 1 Link to comment
Denize November 7 Share November 7 (edited) she mentioned "haystacks", which makes me think of haystacks made with crunchy chow mein noodles in the 1960s Edited November 7 by Denize 5 Link to comment

Quof November 7 Share November 7 I think they posted the recipe on social media. Christine "not pineapple, that's disgusting". No, Christine, it's not the pineapple that pushes it over the edge. 7 Link to comment

Auntie Freeze November 8 Share November 8 Kody's line about "is it because she's so much younger than you?" regarding Janelle and Robyn was meant to irritate her and throw her off balance. It might have worked with Meri or Christine. The way Janelle indirectly called Kody a failure with the most beautiful, beaming grin was my fav part this season so far. 13 1 3 Link to comment
Meowwww November 10 Share November 10 And Janelle’s little zinger in one of her interviews, about David and his 8 kids “And he has a relationship with all of them, too!” 😀 I think the 4 wives ate together at that attic restaurant once, all jammed into a tiny little spot. 10 Link to comment

Back when they all spoke to each other. It's been a while, other than those excruciating socially distanced chats in Robyn's back yard with Kody being dramatic. 5 2 Link to comment
BAForever November 10 Share November 10 Late to the party, Janelle praising David for having a relationship with all of his kids was golden. Such a diss, but so true. Several of my friends do not and it eats at them- Kody only cares how it makes him look. 15 Link to comment
Goodnight November 13 Share November 13 (edited) I’d be ok with Christine’s kids’ ball busting if it was actually funny. Mykelti and Taco Tony are annoying weirdos. Paedon was trying to be tough but just sounded like a lunkhead. David does seem a little off. I previously wondered if he was slow, but maybe he’s just medicated. Soapy Goddess November 13 Share November 13 David seems perfectly fine to me. It's probably the cameras that make him appear reserved. Remember, Kody & the SWs have been around cameras for the last 10+ years. This is all new to David. If cameras started following me around all of a sudden, I wouldn't be lighting up the screen either. 14 1 Link to comment

Not used to having a camera on him and in his face all the time. Give him time to loosen up and get used to it. I don't see anything "odd or slow" about him. Shelbie November 14 Share November 14 I agree. I think David is carefully thinking about the effect his words might have on Christine , her kids , his kids and even on Kody and the rest of the extended family. I think this is a good thing. 10 Link to comment
precious pupp November 14 Share November 14 I think David seems to be a kind man who thinks before he speaks, and doesn't run others down when they disagree with him. Kody will never be like that. 11 Link to comment
surfgirl November 14 Share November 14 I agree David seems like a nice human being. What some see as slow, I see as poor grammar. YMMV. 2 Link to comment
LilyD November 15 Share November 15 Compared to the bubbly, chatty and very present Christine, everyone looks slow! 5 Link to comment
