Even the photos in the background on their podcast show the kids from behind?  Why not just remove all photos of the kids when filming?  Seems just a bit "Look at us!  Such great parents!"

They are performative imbeciles, imho. They still want to call use their kids for clicks, without “showing” them. Fuck them. Jeremy needs to stand up and support his damn family.

They even put an emoji over the new baby’s face! That kid will look nothing like his newborn face in even a few months. I get the privacy thing because I think the story was that someone was criticizing Felicity’s looks. My son and daughter-in-law will not put their kids on any social media. And they’re not even famous, so I get it. I just thought it was kind of stupid in the case of a newborn.

Has Jeremy even graduated from anything? Is he going for a masters or PhD, if that’s even possible, in theology? It just doesn’t seem like he has had any kind of job except going to school forever. Oh, and getting donuts.

They received many comments asking for pictures of their daughters, insisting as if these strangers were entitled to them. People started asking if Evangeline was disabled because of the lack of pictures. That played a part in their decision.

The answer is to completely leave the kids out of pictures and videos then, not to film them from the back.

I like the name, but I now have the song "There was an Old Man Named Michael Finnegan" stuck in my head.

I'm surprised they didn't use Phineas, a biblical name, to get to Finn. That would be more in line with Felicity and Evangeline.

and now I do as well......

I have a friend who's daughter told her if she dares to post one picture of her two grandkids (she used to when they were smaller) on SM, she will never be allowed to see them again.

My son’s sister-in-law posted a picture of their new baby a few years ago and put an emoji over his face. But then she had to follow it up with comments about this is so stupid, why can’t we just show him, etc. Needless to say, her two kids are all over Instagram. And going as far as posting her entire in vitro story complete with rather graphic pictures. And she herself has a little bit of fame in the fashion industry.

My SIL had to have that discussion with his mother and her sister.  His aunt had posted a photo of the baby before they even posted an announcement.   I don't think she's ever been emailed or texted a photo since then.

My kids never said I couldn't post pics of the grandkids, but when I noticed that they didn't, I stopped. In fact, this is awful, but a guy I worked with tagged a pic of my granddaughter. I blocked him and began my journey to NOT posting about my grandkids.

I think if no one had ever questioned if there was something wrong with Evangeline, they would still be posting the pictures.  That being said, their children, their choice, but posting the back of them makes people want to see their faces.   Also, their followers think they are entitled to see the children. My personal feeling is that they should stop posting any pictures.

The not posting the faces of the girls seemed to start about the same time Cade and his baby mama Gabby had the first and made a point about protecting the privacy of their child. All of a sudden Jer and Jing needed to do the same.

Actually, Jinger stopped posting the kids faces in November of 2020, and Gabby had her first baby in January 2021.

In November of 2020, Duggar shared a picture of her husband Jeremy Vuolo and only the top of Evangeline's head. A follower commented "That's all we've seen of this darling big sis in a while... I hope she's OK – and that she doesn't mind playing second fiddle." Duggar did not respond to this comment directly, however, she recently addressed her followers' concerns.

Jeremy just shared a video of how they put the studio together. That was just a random empty/junk room, and it is huge! I’d like to know the square feet of that house.

Unfortunately, he had the windows boarded up. I guess it’s an easy fix to just take it down, but why bother to do that? So you have a completely dark room with all the artificial lighting for filming? Wouldn’t blackout curtains have given the same effect? I just cringe when anyone covers windows because I love them so much.

The video isn’t bad, if you can get through all of the biblical stuff. But Joy is actually more self-aware than I thought she would ever be. I thought with her personality she would be in skirts forever. It is clear though that Jinger might never have come to any realizations without Jeremy. They actually had to read five books about modesty to get a handle on this. One incredibly stupid book by an American woman is talking about women shaving, and putting on deodorant, etc.. I was happy to see Jinger point out that many other cultures don't have that as their tradition, and what does it matter. The book even says that you have to go to the dentist twice a year!

So even though they are still way way into “the word”, it is a little bit of progress. I know, most of their thinking is still abysmal.

I just finished reading "A well Trained wife". Apparently the author Tia Levings was involved in shiny happy people. I think I have a better understanding of why these women have a hard time breaking free of the domination of their thoughts and behaviors.  It is really awful how these things work and we do t even have half a clue I don't think.  Many fear for their lives and custody of their children. They have nothing of their own and no knowledge of how to leave even if they could make that thought. And they don't trust anyone.

It is and it gives me a different perspective on what we see with the Duggars/Rodriguez/Bates, etc.  What they show to the outside world isn't what is necessarily happening behind their closed doors.  I love the snark too, but, now, some of it seems a bit harsh.  Not all, some.
