b2H February 21 Share February 21 The ending, if you haven’t seen it yet, for this episode is jaw dropping. It was for me anyway. And yes, Sandoval is a narcissist. The deflection to Lala during the talk with Scheana was indicative to me that Tom will never own his responsibility for his actions. Until he does, he should not be welcome on any level with the group. i am disappointed in Lisa, though I understand, by her reaction, but at the same time, the non-stop acid coming from the group isn’t sustainable for an entire season. something tells me we should have gone out on the scandal last season. 6 Link to comment
Gharlane February 21 Author Share February 21 (edited) Billie Lee the famewhore needs to go away, or at least turn down the mocking (AKA bad acting) a notch or five. I'm already tired of the attempt to build up tension for the upcoming Tahoe trip. I HATE that outfit of Katie's in the confessional shots with the white collar and sheer bib. Every time I saw Schemer's confessional, my attention was drawn to her boob suspension bridge dress. what the fuck was LaLa wearing for the pool party, a two piece bikini with one strap on the top? Arianna, you're being a bitch at this point. At least you seem partially cognizant of it at the pool party. I need to go back and remind myself about how DJ Muppet Baby's dog ended up with Dog Rescuer Lisa Vanderbucks. Did Rachel abandon it? 🤔 Edited February 21 by Gharlane 3 Link to comment

Marley February 21 Share February 21 (edited) Sandoval is saying the suicide stuff to Lisa because he knew she would react exactly how she is reacting. Lala and Scheana making everything about themselves is so them. I’m sure Lisa would love if her friends stayed friends with Ken if he fucked around on her for almost a year. I do get why she is reacting that way tho with what happened to her brother so that makes sense. I’m not even an Ariana fan but Sandoval is not sorry. Everyone interview he does shows that so why should they all feel so bad for him. All he had to do was say sorry I fucked up I wasn’t happy then all this shit would mostly be over but he can’t take accountability. Not that I think everyone should get keep ragging on him but I can’t with this whole storyline. Jame’s backyard and pool seems nice. I refuse to watch any Billie Lee - FF! Ali is kind of annoying me. I think Sandoval has been in some dark places, you lose friends when you get divorced, and even if you aren't guilty of anything, they choose( usually) one or the other. He and Schwartz are both disgusting and I can hardly watch this shit now. Billy Lee - why is she back? GTFO, lady. I hope this is the last season. This has officially gotten boring. Regarding whether or not the gang should feel sorry for Tom, I think the lens they’re taking here is feeling bad about their actions toward Tom, not the general populace’s sentiment toward him or even about Tom’s actions. Lala and Scheana specifically made an entire year’s worth of content on ripping apart Tom on their podcasts. I do see Tom’s perspective that viewers did take the lead on how to react to Tom from that because we did diligently consume all of the anti-Tom media out there for a year and counting (as Raquel is just getting started with her side on her podcast). Lala and Scheana made a lot of money (presumably) on trash-talking Tom, and got a lot more attention and views than they would have if they just focused on their own lives. Tom doesn’t owe them any type of apology. He definitely owes it to Ariana! And even to Schwartz because he got dragged down by association. But I do think Lala and Scheana are the ones who did Tom dirty in this scenario, and he is rightfully upset about it. But I agree with Schwartz’s positioning that, yes, they do ultimately need to apologize to you, but you need to go in there humble and apologetic to what you did to Ariana first—and even understand that you put them in this position to speak up on defending Ariana’s side. 9 hours ago, Jaundiced Eye said: Me too! TattleTeeny February 21 Share February 21 I feel like Lala has always periodically decided to try out a calm, wise, Zen version of herself. I am not saying it's fake or real, just that I think I've seen it before -- and seen it come and go. She also has a tendency to use a phrase to death; right now, it seems to be "wear" in terms of labels (societally/peer- imposed labels, not clothing labels) and trauma. 5 Link to comment
snarts February 21 Share February 21 I give Lala and James a lot of credit for actively working to improve themselves. Sober curious, therapy, increased self-awareness... all positive signs of growth. I didn't realize the sandwich shop was going to have liquor. That explains some of the delay. Obtaining a liquor license, especially for a new establishment (vs. transferring) can take forever. The process is ripe for corruption and often involves payoffs/shady dealings. 3 3 Link to comment

Yes, but most municipalities enforce a limit on the number of liquor licenses allowed. Meaning, once they're at the max, the only option is transferring (buying) from a closed bar/restaurant. I'd expect that's the situation in WeHo. 3 hours ago, tvfanatic13 said: I must be old since I was yelling at them to stop jumping from the roof. That is seriously dangerous. Let's not nominate him to take over for James Lipton yet. He did publicly and proudly revenge-urinate on someone's bushes because he wasn't apologized to for not being consulted by Tom about Rachel like she was his property. While I also love a good dog story, I am not entirely convinced James is going to remain the best place for that dog. With luck I'm wrong. 10 hours ago, ZettaK said: I think the cast wants Sandoval to apologize again (he did at the reunion) on the show. And they all use the word accountability. For how long does he need to apologize to the general public (because this is not about the cast only, or Ariana)? This is not entirely unreasonable, but there are apologies and there are apologies. His are not working because he is conveying no sincerity and he's frequently, consistently being a self-centered douchecanoe with even LESS perspective, even a year later. Lastly, this look was definitely something. Edited February 22 by Lassus 4 1 Link to comment
TattleTeeny February 22 Share February 22 I like it. Reminds me of a vintage '70s one I got a few years ago -- I wonder where I put it? 2 Link to comment

Lastly, this look was definitely something. Sandoval gave at least one interview many months after the affair was exposed, and he was not contrite. He was probably tired of the backlash. It seems to me the group (and especially Scheana and Lala who were not directly affected, but indirectly profited in multiple ways from Scandoval) is screaming about "accountability" to gain favor with Ariana's supporters. Ariana has every right to expect accountability. 2 Link to comment
snarts February 23 Share February 23 The group isn't expecting or demanding anything from Sandoval, they simply don't care to be around him. That's why watching him work LVP to gain her sympathy so she in turn would ask the group to be more empathetic was a desperate attempt to stay on the show. He knows that if he's resigned to filming only with paid sycophants Billie Lee, Kyle Chan and his band manager, he'd be dropped. The show is forcing them to interact with him when IRL most would remain Ariana's friends and never talk to Tom again. If this happened to your close friend, would you be cordially hanging with her ex? Hell no. 8 Link to comment

A hell of a lot of money has been made from Tom being a lying, cheating, thoughtless idiot. But you know who else made a lot of money? Everyone who worked at the TSA after some dipshit tried to blow up a plane with a shoe. But at least that moron wasn't so stupid that he felt that he should be entitled to some of the windfall as a direct result of his terrible decisions. And Tom's boat was also lifted. He was just on the cover of the NY Times fucking magazine. However, he is such a narcissist he really can't imagine that he has had consequences for doing something bad. I had even a certain amount of sympathy in the immediate aftermath. This show has had cheaters after cheaters, but nothing like this EVER happened to them. It's just... Tom didn't see that his was in fact different, and I don't know that anyone could have really predicted the overwhelming aftermath (part of which was actually brought on by the fact that he himself had a very good reputation until this thing). I have no doubt it was a lot, even though it was his fault. It was a perfect storm of the new world. But you know what, there are people who deal with this every day in that town. There were resources, and instead of utilizing those, he spent all his money touring with a shitty rock band and was an enormous dick. He ADDED to the storm - it wasn't out of his control. So ultimately it's on him now. Edited February 23 by Lassus 5 3 1 Link to comment
Carolina Girl February 23 Share February 23 Oh and wanted to ask - anyone here who DOESN'T think that the resurfacing of the abominable Jax Taylor on this show sometime this season is for no other purpose than to stimulate interest in the new show about a group of people living in Valley Village and who are probably as exciting as watching a snail move across your porch? I hope that little venture is a one and done, like the Real Housewives of DC or Million Dollar Listing San Francisco. 3 1 2 Link to comment
