None of it is making sense and it didn’t live either. It’s interesting which of the overthinking  conversations are being shown on the episode. This episode is just filler to me. With target constantly changing I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them go rogue tomorrow and force the tiebreaker because it’s now all about jury management and they’re all deflecting. I’m ready for tomorrow with the split after the eviction coz I don’t care which of the 2 goes.

But that's the thing, there have been a lot of HGs who fuck like CRAZY on the show, so there is no way to totally ignore it (especially Ollie and April), but I think the Grod downplays it a lot and never uses it as, like, "Check out the feeds, you might see some people fuck!" And there are never EVER any leaks of the explicit stuff, which is nice. It's a very low bar, but still.

While watching the feeds it was slightly bugging me who Indy was reminding me of. The way she actively bristled at receiving hugs on the CBS show tonight brought it home-it’s the almost cancelled and imminent Fanny Brice on Broadway Lea Michele. Same mouth. And the same dead yet utterly calculating eyes. Wow.

The other thing about this is (even though it's crazy to me) that BB is considered a "family show."  Well it is on Broadcast television and does air in the early timeslot two nights a week. So I guess they do have standards (heh) about how much can get out. The couple of times I've actually heard "hey, it's a family show" is on the rare occasion OTEV gets a little mouthy. I think Daniel, of all people, muttered that this season.

but yeah, I don't think it's as much Grod as CBS itself with the tight leash on adult content.

Indy says she tried to find out for a minute (You mean the approximately 45 of them when you were running around the house yelling about how disrespectful it is to steal people’s cider and the thief better fess up?) but she never found out. Oh well, they’ll all find out when they watch the show.

I think in the early seasons TPTB were kinda nonplussed at the notion some of these people apparently had zero compunctions about fucking in the House when they KNEW cameras were running everywhere, so they initially just said “what the hell” and let the feed cameras catch whatever happened in front of them when the freak flags were flying - because let’s face it, April and Ollie had clearly given up ALL their fucks for Lent.

I think it wasn’t until HGs started trying to be at least somewhat discreet about their shenanigans, though, that TPTB started getting shyer with the sex shots.

Taylor is telling everyone about Wikifeet. Brittany and Indy are a little horrified; Monte doesn’t care.. Kyle says he has gotten messages about his feet, from people wanting to buy pictures. They also want to buy his used socks.

Brittany kind of wants to talk to one of them, just to ask “whyyyy”. Kyle says she’ll have plenty of opportunities.

Side note: I saw Taylor tell Jasmine about this once before. (It made Jasmine screech “noooo-ah!” and hide her bare feet under a blanket.) Taylor is clearly fascinated with Wikifeet. She should reach out to Enzo.

Taylor also tells everyone about God 101, Julie’s podcast. Kyle and Indy are very interested. Nobody seems to know that Julie is religious, which is weird. Do none of them watch the show? Indy wonders if Julie will love her now, because she reads the Bible.

Yeah, that's exactly the impression I got when the first BB couple went at in BB4. They were, like, "Holy shit, REALLY? Score!" And the Grodner era has been very different from the way it used to be handled with Shapiro. Shapiro's approach to BB was better than Grodner's in almost every facet of the game, but I have to give Grodner a shout out for an area where I think she has done a better job than him.

That's literally what I mean by free advertising. Taran saying something doesn't make it true but now everyone who sees Taran's tweets just saw advertising for Lays that they didn't pay for. The only one who makes money off of this right now is Lays and maybe Big Brother/CBS. Taylor's contract while in the house probably prevents her from making money from any outside sources.

ETA: You also have to consider that in order for Taylor to get some sort of advertising deal at the end of this, she has to remain a perfect angelic HG through editing (which they kinda didn't do in the last episode), she has to place well (top five, I'd say?) in order to remain relevant to the larger audience, and her post-season engagement has to remain high. Like, right now, I'd say she could roll this into a few grand doing a few #ad posts on her social media of choice if Lays wanted to (they've gotten enough free advertising from the audience online that they might not want to - why pay for the cow when you get the milk for free?) but public perception can change very quickly.

Sorry, y'all, I found my thing this season and clearly it's potato chip advertising.

Long LO meeting in the HoH room (or the Fridge, as they’re calling it) tonight. It started really late because Alyssa set up camp there and they couldn’t shake her. But eventually it was just them, strategizing and reminiscing. It was actually kind of heartwarming, if you can say that about anything that happens in the BB house. They talked about the moments that led them to this point, the things that went right and the things that could have ended them. They expressed gratitude toward each other, and marveled at how one of them is going to actually win. It kind of felt like a goodbye, a moment of calm before the storm, which it might actually be although they don’t know it.

After a final huddle and muted “Leftovers!” cheer, they gave their nightly song recommendations and named their favorite BB players. Monte and Joseph both love X (Joseph also named Kaysar.) Lots of people love Janelle. In addition to Paul, Turner also loves Tyler and Brett. Taylor loves Danielle R and hopes to take up her baton as the first black woman to win BB. Brittany loves Nicole A. Kyle likes Derex and thinks they are similar.

After the meeting breaks up, some of the guys (notably Turner) head downstairs and try to think of ways to irritate Jasmine by fucking with the cake of HG faces. They put the face of her evictee, Pooch, on a plate and put it in the center of the table to taunt her. Monte says she won’t be able to reach it there. Nah, she’ll just make Alyssa do it.

The edit of last night's episode was probably one of the worst ever. I don't expect them to show Kyle, especially, or Michael/Brittany for what they are but I wish they'd at least stop making Kyle and Michael into the stars of the show and allowing them to push the narrative that they're actually loyal to LO. It's giving Derrick with how fake it is lol.

That’s exactly what I felt about the episode, it was edited to fix their narrative and they insist on a positive one for Kyle Taylor Michael and Jasmine when this was probably the worst week for all 4. I’m so ready for the shakeup and hope the way they’re divided is not structured to favor anyone so they can all scramble and see who comes out on top. Right now I hope it’s Turner coz he’s us minus any hygiene issues.

I am glad everyone was here, it made it special.

We knew it was coming eventually. Taylor played right into it too (or was fed it by Production), wanting to make "good TV" and be a "villain". I'm souring on Michael/Brittney/Taylor/Kyle.  Maybe Joseph too.

Michael/Brittney/Taylor have all gotten big heads and are acting very cocky.  Michael's comp wins have gotten to his head, Brittney's overthinking convos with Michael have gotten to her head, and Taylor's "I'm loved by the outside world so I can do no wrong" has gotten to her head.  Joseph's grand plan that wasn't a plan, but was, but... Ugh, that was just stupid.

I look back to early July and my first impressions.  I can't believe I'm saying this now, but I'm all in on Turner and Monte.  Looking back at Monte, I think he was given bad information and ran with it.  He's recovered from that nicely, but he might be feeling too comfortable.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I like Michael and Brit's games but I don't like them as people. They are very serious all the time, maybe it's because they are older, or in the phase in their lives where they have calmed down, but I see them as the strict teachers around kids who want to play and have fun and they're like, no fun now, we got to finish this chapter.

Good morning! A late start due to errands, but I figured no one would be up. Camera 1 shows the hallway bedroom aka golf room, all four sleeping away. Brittany is in the bed furthest from the camera, I think that's Kyle's fuzzy head in Daniel's old bed, then Jasmine sleeping. Someone's in Taylor's bed, probably Joseph since Michael is in the bed where Joseph had been sleeping. Camera 2 shows a white chrysalis - no, Jasmine all bundled up, dreaming of her 31st birthday and is there a way she can get it televised in 2023. Joseph is in Taylor's bed - can see his face here.

Camera 3 shows the men's bedroom. Monte on the left, Terrance on the right, Kyle's bed tidily made, no clothing on it now. Then Cam 4 shows the opposite angle. I think that's Turner in the bed against the wall but the hair doesn't look right, unless the bleached part is up around his head.

I'm trying to think of how Taylor was shown as a villain in last night's episode. Is it because she threatened to make Alyssa a replacement nom for taking away the London trip? On the one hand it's fair game to take away the trip; on the other hand, would Alyssa have taken that trip from anyone else in the house?

I will say that Taylor is definitely playing up her snark in the DRs. Similarly, Michael is outright lying in them to create a narrative that he is loyal to LO. Based on what other Black women HGs have said, I figure Production is encouraging this behavior from Taylor. In Michael’s case, they could be to, but more likely he realized from their hints that he was looking bad for joining Kyle’s ‘silent majority’ so he’s faking it in the DR to fool the casuals. Derrick did that as well.

According to a quick scan of the worst sides of Big Brother social media, Taylor:

• had the worst HoH in history
• made promises and broke them
• was mean to poor, perfect white Alyssa
• showed personality
• (feeds only) this week Taylor has openly talked about wanting to make good TV and unless you're BB20 Brett, you're not allowed to acknowledge that you're on a TV show

Therefore, villain! It makes perfect sense... if one is waiting to jump on the anti-Taylor bandwagon. (I do think some of Taylor's DRs had a feel of being fed Production lines so maybe they're gotten more savvy since the Kemi fingerwaving incident.)

It's like people can't appreciate a messy HoH for its pure entertainment value and have forgotten that there's almost always drama between the prize winners and the punishment winners.

I can't remember if they did the POV ceremony on the show last night. If not, there's a lot to show tonight: the POV ceremony, the punishments, the birthday party, the eviction and the twist.

True.  I don't think she came off as a villain, but I do think she came off as overly cocky.  The beginning of her HOH reign was handled poorly.  She was throwing safety around like she only had to nominate one person, and kept having to backtrack.  Villain? No.  Good at the game? Eh.  Maybe with some more time.  She didn't have a fair start, and she's playing catchup.  I'm really looking forward to this week's split and how each player handles it.

I think producer interference has changed a lot of Taylor's game play, and that's why I've soured on her.  I think she would be fun to hang out with, and she seems like a genuinely nice person, but her path has diverged since the beginning of her HOH reign.  I loved the DR's of her saying "the Queen gets what's hers" and "Nice try, but not happening" - but she's not in the drivers seat of this game like some of her DR's imply.  If that's all on the producers, then it's a shame.  I think Brittney's similar in her DR's as well.  

On one of the boards someone mentioned Brittney complaining about Taylor sitting on her HOH bed "holding court."  That's a stupid complaint coming from Brittney when Michael did the same thing, as did Turner, Daniel, etc.  Definitely a double standard.  And it shows her cockiness as well, especially for someone who hasn't won anything more than the original fan vote.
