Random thoughts and questions:

• The Kim/Nigel story is ridiculous.  Nigel is not interested in Kim.
• Lydia is an emotional vampire.  She wants to know about her parents' failing relationship (from her mother) so that she can get some weird pleasure from it.
• Ethan is unhappy, but afraid to be alone.  Olivia senses this.
• Micah's friends are okay.  They aren't so interesting, but they are drama free.
• Max did more than kiss the other woman.  
  • Do we think that Max slept with her and the 'co-worker' watched?  Or did the co-worker join in?

I thought their wedding pictures were nice.  Kim looked lovely.  And I kind of feel sorry for Barry.  Mariah, quite the tears.  Get hold of yourself!

So someone at TLC thought that it would be a good idea to set up a scene where a Jamaican man from the local gym is invited to their home - not as a guest - but to cook and serve them and their goddamned litter of children? While they all sit their asses around on the kitchen counters and watch him? Really TLC? Really! And the most basic of meals ever. Curry chicken is as basic as tacos or spaghetti. Anyone but Barry could make it. I hope Nigel was compensated well for this, because I turned it off. Oh, and I guess I’m supposed to believe he’s been lusting after Kim while she cackles on the treadmill watching Mad About You or something. Sure Jan. I don’t care enough about Moriah and her Sweet Valley High heartbreak to stick around.

It gave me pause when they described Kim on a treadmill laughing really hard. After birthing 10 kids? This woman's pelvic floor deserves its own show.

I'm confused about this family. Moriah, Micah and Ethan have no jobs. Why? We all know TLC doesn't pay shit so what's up with that? Does Moriah really think she's going to make it big as a music artist? She better get her butt to LA and move in with Micah then. Nothing is going to happen for her in Tampa. It's so strange that Micah is basically homeless. He can't find his own place? He just wanders from friend to friend. I had such high hopes for him. Now he's not doing squat. If he doesn't start taking the modeling gigs his agency finds for him, they are going to stop calling him. Dumb kid. 

Ethan, grow up. Running home to Cairo to work on his cars because he's bored. He never wanted to move to Tampa, let's be real. He will end up back in Cairo and find himself a sweet country girl born and bred in Cairo and happy with the simple life. Olivia needs to let him go so they can both move on to their own goals. 

Kim is the worst. She's unhappy with Barry so she ignores her kids? No meals together, no interaction with them. They all feel it and she doesn't care. No big deal if Barry has to cook once in while, the least she can do is be home to eat with them. WTF is she doing all day at that studio? If she's going to gym, it's not helping. She comes home just in time to park her fat ass on the couch and go to sleep. 

We were all right! There was more than just a kiss with Max. So don't tease us, Moriah. Tell us the whole story!

Yo, this has gotten so messy.

ITA with y'all. I 100% think that Max did way more than kiss. Unless I don't understand what a wingman is, I'm not sure he understands what his role was. He got carried away...was lonely, horny, drunk, whatever, and likely had sex with this person (and maybe involving his coworker). I feel for Moriah. I get a feeling he was her first (she keeps saying she gave him everything), and this level of betrayal is terrible in general, but she was already a bit fragile. Ugh. 

I kind of like Micah's LA friends. They seem kind and supportive. I appreciate that. 

Kim - Did you bring this random dude to your family home with your husband and children?  To cook curry chicken?  I cannot. That whole piece was so weird. 

In general, this Kim storyline feels really odd.  I actually can appreciate her feelings, and if she were a less terrible human, I would be interested in watching a woman reclaim herself after 2+ decades. With Kim?  Meh. She comes off as pedantic and selfish. She seems to blame Barry for many of her own life choices. Meh.

Ethan and Olivia need to decide what they want, and then go about their business accordingly.  All this push pull is annoying to keep watching.

They are struggling to put a reasonable season together.

I don’t care about Kim’s midlife crisis after four of her children have left home because of her maniacal controlling ways.  

I don’t care about Barry feeling left behind.  News flash: it’s what happens in a midlife crisis but usually it is the guy who leaves.

Moriah has more problems than her lack of relationship with Max.  Unless she goes on America’s Got Talent or American Idol, she won’t make a living at singing.

Micah - what happened to modeling?  And his other friend that he met through modeling?  Just no.

Olivia and Ethan - if he is bored, GO FIND A JOB!!!!   Her business is taking off and she is happy.  Were he compelled to find something to do, he would be too. Like maybe earn enough money so they aren’t renting and he can bring his cars.

If this is all it’s gonna be this season, I just don’t see anyone staying around by mid-season.

Remember the early days when she brag-brag-bragged (we were all kind of squeamish) about how WONDERFUL their sex lives were because they always took their romantic little walks...and took time out for each other.  Lying is a SIN, KIMMY!  Lying onscreen is smarmy.

Not US, Charmed...but Kim wants Barry, her children, and everyone at the gym to believe Nigel was lusting and followed her to the grocery store and then home!  She continues to control.  Please, please, please, TLC...toss her off her throne--I mean her couch and FIRE HER ASS!!!

What the heck does Micah do in L.A.? Wasn't he supposed to be modelling there? He seems to have some nice friends, tho.

I couldn't care less about Moriah's singing, but I don't think she's going to get very far in Tampa with Facebook.

The Jamaican man from Kim's gym coming over to cook them supper was super contrived and awkward.  

Kim's dancing wasn't very convincing. Was she sweating or wearing too much makeup? Why does she sleep on the couch?

I've never gone shopping at a store that strategically puts duct tape on what they're selling!

Barry annoys me but I am unable to articulate why.

What happened to Moriah going to college? I thought she wanted to go? Was it money? Her amazing “education” by Kim? That put her off?

Kim is so selfish. She lost some weight and then starts thinking she is gods gift. She is not. Raise your family then get selfish.

Olivia is a spoiled little witch. Your husband bought a car and you throw a little tantrum. He is not cheating  on you  or using drugs or alcohol or gambling get a grip girl you have it good.

The Max and Moriah story line is sad but she is a beautiful  young lady and will find the perfect person.

Micah is living a great life and good for him.
