We've made it but...........

Hmmm...is there really a chance that Spader bows out at the end of this season and Stevens takes over for Season 10? I think I'd watch it. Nah....not happening. They just needed some drama for the episode.

Ok, what's hidden in the horse carving?

Now we know the story arc for Season 10.

Red is slipping as he ages.  That was stupid giving Marvin a long leash.

Somehow I don't think we've seen the end of Aram, but I hope Park fades off into the sunset.

Ressler could have searched the plane thoroughly but opted to sit his lazy ass in the seat (for maybe an hour, sip some liquor and let the other agents wait outside in the heat) and wait for Marvin to come out of the plane's restroom.

Nice of Panabaker to make Cooper to look stupid in front of Marvin, confirm Cooper is a puppet and replaced him for the interrogation. When did Aram get demoted for Cooper to act like he was the boss again?

Red shouldn't give Marvin too much credit for needing to be smart to work for him. Marvin handled events so poorly and messy this season. He allowed way too many casualties in the aftermath of eliminating Liz.

Couldn't Dembe get a say if wanted a fragile Park to be his partner in the field? I wouldn't trust her to hold a camera to take pictures.

Red the Concierge of Crime is still handling business by passing cash in a bag in broad daylight so the FBI can take pictures? I guess losing Marvin prevented him to send wire payments and use the phone.

Good job by the FBI and prison to have Marvin placed in contact with Wujing the assassin who could have beaten Marvin to death with a book or shank him on Red's behalf.

Cooper called Main Justice "stupid" and could reach new levels of low. A few minutes later, these stupid people drop all charges against him and the surprised dope couldn't at least apologize!

Funny! Panabaker kept Red's arrest warrant attached to her bra.

Real "smart" for the guard to admit he moves contraband into the prison and tell where the tunnel is located. All Park asked him was "what he did that morning?" and this dude told everything for no reason. Just say: "I won a bet with Red on an NBA game and he paid me". Now he ruined the entire operation for the prisoners. I will assume he has met an unfortunate demise by the end of the episode.

Agnes was dreaming Wild Horses trampled Cooper.

OMG! Idiot Ressler allows Marvin to walk in the judge's chamber alone, wait outside, read a magazine as if he was in a dentist's office (and not even try to get the lady's phone number). The man is shamefully inept. I was hoping Red would have shot Marvin there just get to Ressler fired.

According to Red: Marvin's actions this season were "cowardice". Seems the NBC writers were telling us how guilty and ashamed they are for what they wrote this season.

As Marvin is being released, the guard just allows him to be in contact with Wujing and he passed him a list of criminals. Unreal!

Red was playing with fire to have Marvin do the job he was begging to do all season. What if Marvin got cold feet? At least have someone take care of Marvin while he watched. Nope! He rather go to Cooper's place for drinks and hope Marvin handle it.

Couldn't Panabaker have questioned Cooper: "why is Red here in your home and you have not arrested him as you were ordered?" What more does Panabaker need to know that Cooper can't be trusted.

I need to see Marvin's body to confirm death.

They should have buried Marvin next to Liz.

Park's headaches were because she is pregnant?! She better talk to another doctor and maybe a third. She must have real head problems if she doesn't know what "Cooler" means and Dembe had to explain it to her.

Dembe went a little overboard with his Liz story. Wasn't buying that Bullshit at all Sir!!!!!!!!! If Ms. French was there, wasn't that at the time Liz was trying to kill Red? When did they all have time hang out and laugh?

How many Backlist criminals are still alive to now know Red is a Confidential Informant and be angry to get revenge? Can't be that many to go after him in season 10.

I hope the cemetary scene was a burial of anymore mentions and footages of Liz. Wouldn't be surprised if some people don't return next season.

Well, as far as Blacklist season finales go that was not terrible. And I like the setup for next season. Red's various chickens coming home to roost could be entertaining.

I am pretty sure when one is being escorted out of prison one will not be afforded the opportunity to have a conversation with another inmate.

We finally got an answer to the low gunfire budget this season. It went to licensing for "Wild Horses".

I see this as Ressler slowly becoming aware of his failings. If he had tried to pursue Marvin on the plane Marvin would have slipped past him. Much better to just park himself in place and wait for Marvin to come to him. What you call laziness Ressler calls efficiency!

The team's recreational mourning session at the end of the episode made me laugh when I thought Agent Park was still waiting in the car because those were her orders.

Speaking of Park, perhaps the timeline is fuzzy enough to allow this but it seems a little too soon for her to be pregnant. As I recall her arc from this season she was lying to her husband about being back in the field. She was pregnant but didn't know it until the Ressler urine-swap plot. A Blacklister hit her with some directed energy weapon that caused her to lose the pregnancy. Her husband found out about this and the lying at about the same time. And then a little while later she restarts her assassin career, that part of her life follows her home and she ends up killing a dude right in front of her husband. Now we are expected to believe that after all of this not only did they stay together, they also had sex! I guess that is no less ridiculous than all that came before it but I still say it's a stretch. But let's spice it up next season and have the baby turn out to be Ressler's or even better, Aram's.

Amir Arison (Aram) and Laura Sohn (Park) are both leaving the series per TVLine.  Amir did leave the door open for guest appearances.

Yeah, sounds like Arison just literally couldn't do this show AND the Broadway play he's doing, so he asked out and they let him. If the show somehow gets an eleventh season, I'm sure he'll be back (and I bet he returns before Season 10 ends, as well).

There was a reason, it was to get the team looking at the hole in the wall in the basement while Red walked in the front door. However, it should have occurred to the team that no way would Red haul his portly butt up and down that ladder just to kill Marvin in person.

3 years have passed since the mercy killing of Liz... How much of the pregnancy / assassin / pregnancy arc was a flashback?

Understood. All that benefited Red but what did the guard get out of all this? He confessed to accepting a bribe from Red (cash probably confiscated by the FBI), confessed to being on the take for the Quito cartel running contraband, exposed their tunnel to the prison and will now lose his job/reputation/spend some time in jail/maybe his life to the cartel for snitching. Did Red promise him big money when he gets out prison in 15 years (Red will be dead by then)?

I expect the Quito cartel to be first on the list to go after Red next season for ruining their prison plan.

Carolyn (the other lady involved in Red's plot) had much to lose too and made it through without being suspected. Too bad Park and Dembe didn't tail Red earlier to get pictures of her going into Red's SUV.

Red's plan could have been foiled if Ressler just walked into the judge's chambers with Marvin. But not going with Marvin just to read the latest "Popular Mechanic's" magazine was more important to him.

I can see if Marvin boarded a 747 and it was too big for Ressler to search. It was a little private jet with no secret hiding compartment........ just look in the damn restroom Donald. Yes! He became aware of his failings, efficiently played it safe and sit. Marvin could have put the pilot's cap on a walk passed him.

Yeah, if we don't see the dead body Marvin isn't really dead.  We didn't even see the flash from the gunshot (since it was dark) -- we only heard the gunshot.

And regarding the cemetery scene, notice that Lizzie's death year was covered up with flowers -- leaving the possibility that she isn't actually dead either.

Plus, Tom got 'Husband and Father' on his tombstone, but Lizzie got nothing.

Park has had headaches for months -- so how did she not know she was pregnant ?  The whole headache sub-plot was just nonsense so that resolution makes about as much sense as any.

Overall, a tremendously underwhelming season.

Still no sign or mention of the dogs, Robert Vesco's cat, or Sierra the cat.

Maybe Red promised to support his family while he's in prison. Maybe Red promised to rat him out to the Feds anyway if he didn't play along. Whatever it was, we shouldn't have so many questions and the writers should have done a better job.

Meh.  But yes, we have the set-up for next season.  All the living blacklisters and the folks whose money is now tied up in limbo.

Ressler not searching the plane was as ridiculous as Marvin sauntering out later.  It didn't dawn on him that even if they didn't bother searching the plane, it was still possibly roped off as a crime scene?  Dumb.

I took Marvin's shooting himself as resigning himself to the fact that he was dead either way.  I did like him selling out Red at the end there.

I also hope that the Keene worship is over next season seeing as Red is too busy trying to keep his bacon out of the fryer.  I take it that the task force will be targets as well due to the epi description.  I'll miss Aram even if he like the rest of the task force aren't the most competent agents.  Park, eh.  And who is going to act as Red's protector now or is Weecha coming back after everyone has their vacation time?

I know there are so many things that happen in this show that push plausibility boundaries, but one thing that gets me is how it’s presumed all bad guys on Marvin’s list will actually believe him. If I’m a black lister, who do I believe: the infamous Concierge of Crime or his underling who has an ax to grind? If I were Red, I’d spin it so they think Marvin was the one who ratted them out and that’s why he killed himself—because Raymond was onto his traitorous ways.

As a somewhat related side note, Dembe was a clue on Jeopardy! this past week, name the tv show, worth $2,000: "Hisham Tawfiq knows if you've been naughty or nice--probably naughty--as Dembe Zuma." None of the three players knew the answer, which I found pretty funny.

I fast forwarded thru the stupid cemetery sequence as I am beyond tired of paying homage to Keene, so I was quasi surprised Aram is leaving.

I hope next season will not even mention Elizabeth Keene once.

To me the biggest hole in the story continues around the FBI supporting, encouraging, abetting a criminal, and furthering his global criminal empire.  Bizarre was Marvin’s statement that they know only a tiny portion of Reds shenanigans. It’s been clear for a while that his tiny scraps he feeds the FBI pale in comparison to his own illegal operations.

Marvin’s worth also was ridiculously variable plot wise.  On one hand he knew EVERYTHING about Red’s operation, enough to sink him apparently with the government, yet he couldn’t even rig up an ‘insurance policy’ that would spill the beans if he died mysteriously.  Yeah right.

Bilge.

Finally got around to finishing this last season and AGAIN they still don't 100% tell us what the connection between him and Elizabeth is or is not. Even Marvin Gerard brings it up and says he still hasn't figured it out. Harold I noticed fully believes the father thing as he told Agnes mid-season that Red is her grandfather, but we were never told exactly what was in that letter etc.

Like she is dead for an entire season and even the season she is dead in the overarching storyline is still about her. I guess now it stays alive with these "Agnes visits" and how much she really was told from that letter and if Liz left anything out when telling her about Red.

Did Katerina even get mentioned this season at all when last season??? They left us with the whole is Red the mother theory some threw out then instead this whole season 9 is solving Lize's murder and not advancing the question who is Red?
