Lantern7 March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Thread for both episodes? Bright side: better vibe for this finale than last time. Link to comment
Lady Calypso March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 I'm excited for this finale! Finally get to live chat here after getting lucky enough to watch a couple of hours earlier. Luckily, I have no ill will toward any of the teams left so I will not be upset at anyone winning, not even Ryan/Dusty. 1 Link to comment
PaperTree March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Cool. I have a good friend whose parents are Portuguese immigrants. Link to comment
Lantern7 March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Heh. Phil said “penultimate.” That’s an underused word, isn’t it? 2 Link to comment
iMonrey March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Again with the two roadblocks, again with the group starts. Link to comment

Zonk March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Kim and penns impression of the finish line clappers: everything I needed today. 3 5 Link to comment
EllenB March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 People might be interested in Ryan/Dusty because of Ryan's backstory. So why can't he ever get a word in edgewise? 4 Link to comment
iMonrey March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 I wanna know how they determined that the flight attendants should leave first, then Kim and Penn and Arun and Natalia should leave together and Ryan/Dusty last by themselves. Was that arbitrary or based on the times between their finishes on the last leg? Link to comment
Thalia March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 LOL on Kim and Penn's imitation of standing at the finish line, watching someone else win. 3 Link to comment

Was that arbitrary or based on the times between their finishes on the last leg? That's how they finished the last leg. FA get an advantage for being first by leaving 15 minutes ahead. Ryan/Dusty leave 30 minutes after FA. Link to comment
iMonrey March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Quote That's how they finished the last leg. FA get an advantage for being first by leaving 15 minutes ahead. Ryan/Dusty leave 30 minutes after FA. So why? None of the previous fist finishers got to leave by themselves. This is the first time they've done that. Also? Spotting the flag was way too easy. They did something similar in the past but needed binoculars and really had to search. Link to comment
Lantern7 March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 (edited) Maybe Ryan & Dusty have been chugging Red Bull all this time. 🤷♂️ Edited March 3, 2022 by Lantern7 Link to comment

It makes sense to give first place a slight advantage because they can still have three start times with no issues. 1 Link to comment

Lady Calypso March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Oh wow, Ryan/Dusty didn't get to the roadblock before the others! Link to comment
Lantern7 March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 The only explorer I’d recognize would be Vasco de Gama. 2 minutes ago, Browncoat said: Wow! Arun and Natalia turned the correct direction! Huge shock. I think when Arun was born, his first pictures showed up on milk cartons. 5 3 Link to comment

It makes sense to give first place a slight advantage because they can still have three start times with no issues. It doesn't make any more sense than having groups of two. Seems pretty arbitrary to me. I mean, if they'd been giving first arriving teams the same advantage all along then sure but this just seemed random. Link to comment
Pepper the Cat March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 That’s a pretty short row. I was expecting a much longer one. 3 Link to comment

Browncoat March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 (edited) I think I could have done it without going in circles, but it would have taken me a while. It might have taken me longer to figure out the explorer's name, especially if Da Gama and Magellan were already taken. Edited March 3, 2022 by Browncoat Link to comment
Thalia March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Anyone else sitting here googling names of people on boats? Just me? Uh, never mind. :-) 1 Link to comment

It's really not that hard to figure out usually, but I think if you are under preassure, especially in the penultimate leg of the amazing race, you might get frazzled fast. 2 Link to comment
bearcatfan March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 I can row a boat but I would be guessing on the explorers. On vacation when I was about 9 I had to row back to the dock when my dad’s friend couldn’t figure out how to do so. Link to comment
Lady Calypso March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Oh, so Ryan got it wrong too! Unfortunately, with how lost Arun is with the paddling, he probably will get it before Arun. Oh, wait, Arun found the right boat! Link to comment

Browncoat March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Paint by number. Should be more challenging than that for the penultimate leg. 1 Link to comment
iMonrey March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 Oh I thought this was the 2nd Roadblock. I actually feel sorry for Arun. Link to comment
Lady Calypso March 3, 2022 Share March 3, 2022 I think Arun got the right explorer this time, so hopefully they can kind of catch up. Link to comment
