I watched it. Seems fake. After a pretty decent documentary it’s sad to see Paris go back to completely staged and generic reality TV. It’s like she’s trying to catch up to her protege Kim Kardashian.

Don’t buy her engagement at all. Zero chemistry. They don’t seem at all comfortable around each other. He’s always got this giant disturbed grin on his face and they both talk in generic love metaphors without ever saying anything real. For all the “love” they supposedly have for one another they barely ever touch one another. And the fact she’s using her baby voice (which she admits is fake and part of a persona she created) leads me to think it’s all fake.

It really is disappointing. I’ve had more respect for her since she mostly bowed out of the public eye. Paris, be more like Nikki.

Exactly. It’s particularly eye rolling when people claim they “just want to live a normal life” while introducing us to their reality show.

I’d be more interested in an expose about why Paris is doing this show at this time. She’s been off the screen for years, but now has the documentary and this low rent reality show on Peacock. She could have done any project she wanted so I wonder why she chose this? Then again, maybe it’s as simple as how Kristin Cavalieri got her lame show, she just wanted back on TV but is too lazy and dull to come up with something original so she just went along with whatever the network suggested. Though, again from the documentary, Paris seems somewhat more hardworking and brand conscious than Kristen ever was.

Haven’t seen any ratings for this, but the lack of reviews and discussion leads me to believe it isn’t very popular. How funny would it be if Paris married this weirdo just for the TV show and the TV show bombed? Lol.

I’m watching this because I admittedly always have had a very begrudging fascination with Paris Hilton. Can’t stand her weird baby-voice that fades in and out of her actual voice, her pet-hoarding and past-racist/sexist comments concern me, and her style/home-decor is so damned tacky, but I still find myself oddly intrigued with her for whatever reason.

I’m actually enjoying this drivel for its oddly fluffy dose of escapism; it’s fun to see Paris’s real estate porn, and I love watching her interactions with Nicky and Kathy. I have a newfound respect for Nicky now, actually: she seems to have gotten all the good sense/taste in that family.
Hope Paris & Carter actually make it and get a true “happily ever after” marriage together, because they both seem vapid enough to ‘get’ each other. Although I really do think Paris only wants to be a mother to dress up/parade around her child.

One I love that Kathy Hilton just randomly hangs out with Rosanna Arquette and they discuss her getting therapy.

Kathy talking about Big Kathy got real … I didn’t know if she would say ANYTHING about her mother that wasn’t super glowing. …

and WTF with the dude calling himself a “Mind Architect” lol

So much to unpack.

You could tell that Kathy didn't want to answer but she did.

Did you catch Kathy's, "I told of Nicky's mother-in-law". And then Nicky's very uncomfortable smile.

It’s really interesting how emotionally fucked up Paris really is .. like things here and there slip out and it’s like yikes she needs something better then a “mind architect”

Thank you for responding. I haven't had a soul to discuss this with.

I watched Paris in Love after watching her documentary on YouTube. It was REALLY telling. She exhibits such profound signs of real emotional distress. In my humble opinion.

Interesting that Kathy just doesn't want to hear a word about it.

I haven't quite figured out Carter. I think the biggest thing about him is that he seems uninteresting.

Would love to discuss with you, but can't justify paying for it. The first episode was free, and from what little I saw, Carter seems like an airhead.

I'm amazed this marriage went through.   There is no chemistry at all between them, and I find it hard to believe he is concerned with the wedding invites.  All they speak about are her clothes or her hair or how stressed she must be.  I think  the only  real moment came when they were in Michigan and she pouted about not having a chance to do a sound check and petulantly walked off the stage.  He said "can't you just hit play."  As that reflected my probably ignorant attitude towards the skills needed to DJ I found it hysterically funny.    😂

Paris is so stunted in her emotional development.  She is stuck in the fairy tale world of "can't it all be pink".   I guess she blotted out all reality over the years by traveling frantically here, there and everywhere to perform to adoring crowds in her DJ stints.  What with COVID she was bored and decided to get married.

I don't get Carter at all.

Paris seemed much more serious in her documentary so I just don't get this venture on her part.

That’s the interesting dichotomy of this. She is perpetually trapped in her old image (the that’s hot babydoll voice) so she feels like if she doesn’t do that then the fans won’t be there. Watch has she slips in and out of it talking to her mother or sister or even carter. Like when her mom called it out in one episode “don’t do that voice with me.”  … Kathy has A LOT of baggage from her mother that has spilled over onto her children. I’m amazed that Nicky comes across so normal

Kathy needs to deal with how Big Kathy fucked her and her sister up first I think. It seems to be a cycle there. I’m gonna bulldoze over you and do what I want and as long as I’m in control everything is right with the world (probably just like her mother did with her)

carter seems nice but he seems to just be there. I don’t know if he comes off well in this? more like he’s just placating her it kinda had a creepy vibe like him telling her how to feel

9 min into episode 10 and it hits me what bugs me so much about Carter .. he talks to her like she's a child ... its got this tone to it when he's speaking to her .... and she regresses and talks back in her baby voice ... its creepy

You hit it on the head. I couldn't figure it out. He takes the toddler approach with her. The soft talking, trying to get her to refocus, agreeing and then steering her in a direction.

What's fascinating here, and frankly what fascinates me about all reality, is what the subjects "think" they're presenting and what the camera / audience picks up.

Nicky controls what's coming across more than the others. Both Paris and Kathy try to control the camera but surprising moments squeak through with both of them.

This show undid a lot of what Paris established with her documentary. What a curious decision to follow up with this.

I’ve watched every episode thus far and it's interesting seeing the dynamic with Paris, Kathy and Nicky. I really like Nicky, she seems really put together and self aware. Kathy comes of a bit narcissistic and very controlling. I think kathy manipulated Paris so much , to the point where paris doesn’t understand how create boundaries with people. Paris really thinks setting boundaries or saying no will hurt her moms feelings….it’s actually sad.  Carter is just as controlling with paris, which she mentioned in the first episode. Carter seems obsessed with “Paris Hilton” hence why he keeps referring to her as “the paris Hilton” all the time. Paris def. romanticize carter and their relationship(and all her other relationships in the past). she mentioned in one of the episodes she loves romantic movies and that's all she watches at night . Which makes since as to why she romanticize her relationship with Carter, she doesn’t understand romantic movies aren’t real. I’m surprised She had doubts about him and still followed through with the wedding. I think she gaslit herself into marriage so she can have the “fairytale ending” she thinks exists. Also, I think she married him because her biological clock is ticking and she really wants kids.

There's something unintentionally sad about the whole thing.  Unintentional in that's not what they think they're putting out.

God love Paris being friends with Demi Lavato …. But their over exposure for any little minor thing (like telling people that calling extraterrestrials from outer space “Aliens” is “offensive” and “derogatory” to them ( my eyes couldn’t roll back far enough in my head for the ridiculousness of them making the statement in the first place but they are a big nope for me.

I do not like Carter at all.  As you said, he is so controlling.  Kathy calls him the octopus for trying to control everything to do with the wedding.  Carter and his brother still insisting on him being the officiant even after Paris disagreed with it was another attempt at control.  I think Carter is in love with "the Paris Hilton" and her fame and not Paris the actual person.  She should have listened to her instincts and called it off.  I hope she gets pregnant with twins and then divorces him.

Carter treats her like a 4 year old. Needed at times for sure...but he is so one note in I love you so much P! Seriously, don't they do anything to talk about different things than the wedding? Like which houses to keep...or just having fun with friends.

If Paris spent less time complaining about no time doing something it would get done.

The entire family is batshit crazy.

ETA:  I don't think Kathy is "cute" or "quirky".  I do feel sorry for Paris and Nikki.  I can see she must have been a monster of a mother and Rick looks positively terrified of her.  There is something seriously dysfunctional about the Richards family.

Just watched the entire show.

There's a ton on Reddit, a lot of which matches how I feel.

Within 15 minutes of the 1st episode, I googled Carter Reum.  My first thought was, he's after the Hilton money.  My prediction?  She gets pregnant, has her twins, and in a few years, we'll read that he & his brother were running a giant Ponzi scheme with her money.

Paris actually has more money now than her dad.  She's been uber successful.  And Carter?  No, Carter doesn't give two figs about the "real Paris".  Carter bragged to some old lady at his brother's wedding that Paris makes 7 figures for one DJ appearance.  She actually has a higher net worth than her dad.

Conrad Hilton (founder of Hilton), had 3 sons.  Barron (Rick's dad) had 8 children.  Conrad actually had 14 grandchildren in all.  When Hilton sold, all the money was split up between the sons, the grandchildren, various charities, etc.  So the actual money each son got wasn't nearly as much as, say.....the Rothschilds lol.

Rick Hilton was smart to stay in the real estate biz, name recognition & all.  He's been very successful, but his daughter Paris has a higher net worth than he.  Notice how, at her wedding, his speech to her was all about her professional accomplishments?  Even he knows.....they all bow to Paris, with her wealth.  Which is at the heart of why mama Kathy still tries to control this adult/child/babyvoice Paris.

The Nicky Hilton/James Rothschild marriage was very well engineered.  The Rothschild family is one of the world's richest families, at $400 billion.  That's probably low.

Carter "fell in love" with Paris years ago.

He clubbed wherever she was.  He "found himself" at that same Hamptons restaurant where she was.  He's been gunning for her for over a decade.

Carter knows exactly what he's doing.  He's a professional emotional abuser/gaslighter/narcissist.  Call it whatever you want, but here's what's happened so far:

-Love bombing.

-Isolating (Covid isolation was awesome for him).  Remember her friend Jenn said she hadn't heard from Paris in, forever?  He's "meeting" all her emotional needs.

-Making her feel like she's the most perfect, special person in the world.

-Control.

-Slight, small put-downs, just enough to make her doubt herself.  Even on the tennis court.  At the dance studio.  Over her shoulder at his family's wedding.  He gives her just enough of a put-down to make her feel bad, then he tells her how much he "wuvs" her.

-Parasitic behavior.  He's a Dirty John with a better resume.  He's insinuating himself into the family, under the guise of "I just want to make sure my forever love follows through with the wedding".

Paris, the 40 year-old toddler, eats this up.  Saying she wants to be treated as an adult, make her own decisions, while she sits like a 3 year-old, in her pink matching pajamas, on the floor of her closet, surrounded by her toys.

This will not end well.  I'll come back to this post in.....3-5 years once her money starts to evaporate.

I watched one episode last night. After seeing her documentary, I was looking forward to a new Paris. But nope. She's still faking it.

The locked secret passageway in the penthouse library was the most awkward romantic gesture I have ever witnessed. He flew her out just to see where Marilyn would go... and she can't even see it.

Carter is terrible on camera. That's usually a good sign for a celebrity spouse. But he's so boring. It's awkward, pushing those bikes on the beach as they read their lines about how they both think its too good to be true? Puke.

For those who have seen more episodes, does Nicole Richie ever show up?

Nicole Ritchie shows up at the wedding, and they have a good conversation.

Paris & her mom Kathy were on Bravo's WWHL with Andy Cohen recently, and Paris has dropped a lot of her previous feuds.  She reached out to Lindsay Lohan when she saw that she was engaged, and Lindsay wrote back.  Paris did seem more mature (that night, when she drops the stupid baby voice), and was like, I'm married, I'm 40, it's time to get over these feuds.

I've been saying this for years because of little stories in the media. Years ago the media said that Paris was supporting her family. The family parents are conducting a big reality TV campaign because they need money.

Interesting.  I believe it!

I'm now reading "House of Hilton", which goes into just how much Big Kathy pushed Kathy (Paris' horrible mom) into show business and then marrying rich.  But while Rick is, yes, the grandson of Conrad, he never had the "Hilton touch".

So, in true cycle of life fashion, Paris has been thrust into the media, was engaged to very wealthy guys, while Nicky quietly married one of the richest men in the world.

I watched what I think were the last 2 episodes this morning, the wedding was beautiful but the carnival was just odd. Not having watched any of the other episodes or knowing anything about the wedding planning, was the carnival her way of saying screw you to her mom and new husband? I've only seen his name since he's married to her and now that they have 2 babies, but the little I saw of him, all my creep red flags went off. I don't see them as being happily married for long, thats for sure. Him all but writing her vows for her to make sure she mentioned all the ways he's amazing, but telling his brother? cousin? that she normally writes on pink paper with crayons was down right cruel and screamed abuser to me. Having only seen him in these 2 episodes, I'm going with he's thirsty for fame and her money. He'll be the ex who tries to get his hands on Hilton family properties or family heirlooms when they divorce.

Yeah I did more looking online and articles said that it's believed that coyotes might have gotten the poor baby.  😢  I wish I didn't know that.

I just started watching yesterday. This whole thing with not telling her immediate family about the baby was so bizarre. I mean she told the entire camera crew and the producers before she told anyone. I kinda get why she didn't tell Kathy, cause they got some weird shit between them, but I was surprised she didn't even tell Nikki or her brother, who she seems to be extremely close to. Same with some of the stuff in the book. I get not sharing, but not even telling them before the book is published or the reviews came out.....geez.

Also, Kathy is very much in denial about her relationship with Paris (must run in the family!). She keeps saying that Carter is the reason the baby was secret, Carter is the reason the book was a secret, Carter changed the invitations, oh and the ghost writer add things to the book that Paris would never. Carter does a lot, but all of these things were Paris' decisions. It's also a bit disturbing how both Paris and Kathy use "I love you" as a way to absolve themselves of shit behavior to each other.

I would love to hear more from Nikki. She keeps saying the stuff that I'm yelling in my house, so I wonder what else she thinks about all this stuff.

It is a fun show but not really all that gripping.  I watch it while doing chores or something.  But not a show I would sit down and watch scene for scene.

A coyote grabbed one of her dogs while Paris was in the kitchen.

How could she think it was safe to allow several of her dogs to hang out in the doggie mansion unsupervised?

Learning nothing from these two incidents, she also loses Diamond Baby to coyotes.

No one should let her adopt, foster, buy or clone any more dogs.

Paris wears a LOT of rainbow-decorated clothing. I thought maybe she was supporting the LGBTQ community. But I am listening to a House of Hilton recap. She and one of her brothers have a history of using homophobic slurs.

So I guess she loves rainbows for the same reason she loves unicorns.

Big Kathy had children for the wrong reasons.

I don't watch this show (on purpose), but of course this is closer to how Kathy really is. She is still pretending, but she created a totally fake persona on the Beverly Hills HWs.

the 2nd season is super fascinating ...Kathy deflecting ANYTHING that doest project perfect and admiring she lives in denial and it works for her (to the detriment of her relationship with her daughter and family)

Paris being cast as the "alien" the "other" and the "weird one" while Nicki is the "good" daughter that would tell Kathy anything and Kathy repeatedly throwing that in Paris's face ....Kathy making the rape in the book more about HER and not immediately coming to her daughter with love and warmth was super fucked up ...Big Kathy did a number on her daughters full stop and the cycle is continuing with her daughters family
