I hate to predict this, I really do, but what do ya bet Mariah hooked up with a man, setting her up to have second thoughts about her marriage, and leading to their breakup — and then they both hook up with men.  Ugh.

I know, this’d be beyond disappointing, but I’ve always gotten the impression the writers are either uncomfortable with a gay married couple or don’t know how to write an interesting storyline for them, so their solution is to break them up.  Hope I’m not right about this.  Or is the reason to break them up, to give Daniel a romantic interest?

Even if Tessa does eventually hook up with Daniel, I’ll still never know who she is when she pops up, cuz of that washed-out blonde color job . . .

I would just like to have a new storyline that is kind of fun to watch. That won't make me mad, wonder who on earth is writing this stuff. No split personalities, no Phyllis or Victor plotting. A new, unexpected romance; but please not Nick. Maybe Lily with someone. Again...not Nick. No dark, dungeon-y place or basement. Brighter sets. No one coming back from the dead. No "lost babies" that arrive fully grown to parents who had no idea.  Anything that would make me sit and sip a cup of tea while watching. Even if just for a couple of months.

I've been thinking the problem is above the writers. The network is likely feeling a certain pressure and they're using Tessa and Mariah's bisexuality as an escape. Tessa's friendship with Daniel has been developing for a while now, but Mariah allegedly cheating with a man seems to have dropped out of the sky.

Phyllis was surprised to learn Billy had recruited Sally to be his COO. Not sure why Sally then felt obliged to explain her decision to Phyllis. The only person due an explanation was Sally's former boss, Summer.

Damian, bringing up Neil to Lily may not be the smart tactic you think it is. I doubt Neil would've approved of your shadiness, style of dress, or flirtations toward his daughter.

Billy needed to cut Red off instead sitting there letting her insult his girlfriend, but he still let Phyllis have the last word. AFAIC Billy's final word should've been "5150."

Huggy Bear was a pimp. The way Damian dresses is called dandyism and it has historical roots much bigger than basic flamboyant pimp-wear.

I rag a lot on Y&R's new wardrobe person's costuming choices but IMO she's been on point with Damian's clothes. It's just been jarring because the audience has never seen a GC man dress the way Damian does. I've noticed however his outfits seem to be getting toned down a bit, perhaps due to complaints from some viewers.

Hah!!!! But is Claire's outfit actually coming back in style? One of the newsreaders on a local TV station has worn two of those looks in the past week. She's not on the CBS affiliate so it can't be a "supporting our shows" kind of thing. I get the impression that they are going to make Mariah a cheater just so they can put Tessa with Daniel. It's gross but the misogyny seems to be rampant with this writer. Sally and Chelsea leaving their dream jobs in fashion to go work in a field neither of them GAF just because their boyfriends want to hook up with them during office hours is beyond gross and ridiculous.

I tuned back in because I was enjoying Sharon and Phyllis' detente and attempts at friendship but it kind of seems like Nick will ruin that as well. So many plots where men are unnecessarily shoved in on this show.

And a quick aside on how poorly the Head writer obviously views woman that Audra would be so gleeful to be a prostitute for Victor just to get a company that probably won't do well anyway. Nevermind how her escort services will affect her partner but she seems to have an unbelievable amount of cognitive dissonance about that.

Yeah, in a sea of GC men who dress in such a forgettable, meh way (particularly Nick), Damian is a standout.  He looks sharp without looking slick & off-putting.  Today his wardrobe was out of synch with what he usually wears — maybe not pimp, but def player.  Didn’t seem like his style at all.  That’s Holden all the way.  Damian has been more low key in his wardrobe.  But today his get-up was more player than even Holden would ever wear.  Maybe trying to appeal to Lils?

Clearly, they’re trying to make Damian & Lils happen as couple, but sheesh, there was zero heat coming from those 2.

Kyle and Claire just cannot stop being fascinating, can they? I hope we can watch them sign the papers on their new home, hit up Ikea for new furnishings and have adorable arguments about which way the toilet paper is supposed to hang. Why is Tara still in jail for a white collar crime for embezzling from her own?  Who was defrauded certainly not Lauren when Tara was trying to get her shoes sold at Fenmores. There was no rhyme or reason for Lauren to check her financial statements just to buy and sell Tara’s shoes.  It seems Tara is in jail longer than Ian was.

Just skipping back to Friday really quickly: While Billy's "50 cent tour" comment was unnecessary, I wasn't really bothered by anything else he said. He did tell Diane she was a good designer and he called it beautiful work. But he was clearly caught off guard about the scope of the changes and he said it didn't feel like his home. Honestly, the problem was Diane was clearly waiting for him to gush over it like everyone else did, and he just wasn't feel it. 

Plus, as someone upthread said, it was really bold of her to handle the project without getting input from the Abbotts.

Doesn’t Claire/Eve mean that Kyle would be buying Adam’s apartment.  I would imagine that Claire/Eve only has the funds to buy the door. 

Poor Diane is hurt because that ass hole Billy👃 didn’t like the refresh.  Why should Diane give 💩💩 about what Billy👃thinks?  Why is Diane so hell bent on requiring unconditional love from the Abbott family?  Love should be enough, for Diane, since she is not blood and has a questionable past. 

Has Adam become that altruistic since it seems that he will deflect some of Victor’s wrath away from Claire/Eve.
