So, who's going to replace Rey as Chance's partner?  I have some ideas.

Mariah - someone here once said she would make a good detective.  But it might be weird since she carried Chance and Abby's child.

Abby actresses' real life hubby.  But Abby starts to fall for Chance's new partner.

Kyle - he wants a change of career.  He returns to GC without Summer (you're welcome). Since Jack is never at the office anymore, he can babysit Harrison.

SORASED Harrison - but Jack would worry too much.

SORASED Christian - but he gets kicked off the force because Daddy Nick taught him to punch first, ask questions later.

Noah - but he gets kicked off the force because he keeps painting murals at all the crime scenes.

Any other ideas?

How about Dylan aka Det Deadwood. If TIIC can raise Diane from the dead they can bring Dylan out of witness protection. This way Sharon’s grief will end in days and we don’t have to watch couch sex with Banana Breath and Sharon.

But how will anyone be able to tell if Dylan is actually alive?  It was never readily apparent when he was on before.

I know that the dreaded Ashland is going to Tuscany with Victoria where he may do her in by making her eat a full plate of carbs or something, and I know that Future of Newman Industries may be AT STAKE, and I know ButtBiscuit is aghast and afloat and offended and outraged that Victoria hasn't told him her plan as well as a detailed time diary of every little thing she plans to do so he can give or withhold his approval, BUT, the worst thing of all has happened, and I do not think it will be the last.

Amanda and Devon did a Drop In visit.  Yep, an unannounced visit to two unsuspecting victims who live right across the hall, two people going about their lives, unsuspecting victims of something so dastardly, so inhuman, so ourtright WRONG that I can't believe it's considered appropriate for daytime television.

That shook me to my core.  Nate and Elena can call an exorcist for a demon infestation, they can call someone to spray for insects, they can direct all their mail to sent to a post office, but there is no known protection from the dreaded Drop In.

This isn't going to end well.

Nor should it.

Syphyllis is in LA. And so is an unhinged Sheila who has already shot 2 people. Wouldn’t it be great if Sheila took out Syphyllis too?

On another note - I understand everyone just fine and don’t need the CC on. Except for Victor.

Too bad. It's a less bad day. Lots of Jack and Syph (who has triangulated Jack's GPS and teleported to the table he's at in the cafe in LA) = good. Adam and Sally with Adam smiling a lot = good. Cold-fish mop conning the Pillsbury Asshat = amusing. Grampire mumbling to Nikki and he's even harder to understand than usual. But wait, you watch Canadian style right? So you saw this yesterday?

Nope, close, Seattle. This town is soccer crazy. Growing up my parents had season tickets for the Sounders. I've seen enough soccer. Thank you for the update. Sounds like I missed a good episode.

Why does Victor have Michael going over Pillsbury's Co-Ceo contract with "a fine toothed comb" to get rid of him? He FRAUDULENTLY obtained that job. Just kick him to the curb. Is it me, but does it seem Sally Spectre has lost her lustre, her "edge",  since her marriage/divorce in the real world, or has she learned to just dial it in like her co-workers? If I recollect correctly, didn't Phyllis dump Nick due to his obsession with his family? So now she's flying all over, obsessed with Jack's family obsessions? Okay.

Nice going Victor about causing a “weather delay” but is it beneath Poppin’ Fresh and Olive to actually see if they could fly commercial or check the weather channel if they were in such a hurry to get to Tuscany.  When did Poppin’ Fresh give up his corporate jet?

Sally is 100% correct when she implied that she could run Forester Creations much better than the the current Co-CEO’s Ridge and Steffy.

Does Rodan the Petty have to make every situation worse.  Her presence alone is off putting. Rodan has just earned a new title. Rodan the Petty will from now on be Rodan the Yenta (Busybody).

Poppin’ Fresh really loved his lies. Big lies little lies it doesn’t matter to him. Adam never said to Poppin’s Fresh that the longer they are in Tuscany the more time Adam would have to turn the company upside down. In fact it was Poppin’ Fresh warning Adam not to get use to the position.

Jack what have TIIC done to you?  You have gone from rock solid to being a bowl of jello.  Jack what is your malfunction when you can trust no one more than Rodan the Yenta. Jack probably never heard the fable of the scorpion and the frog.  Jack, in trying to save Kyle from Diane breaking his heart again, is definitely making Jack hypocritical. First of all, how would Diane break Kyle’s heart again and second wasn’t Dina basically dead, to the Abbotts, and they accepted her back?  Didn’t Dina break Jack’s heart when she left him and once again when she died?  Is it possible that Rodan the Yenta can be the voice of reason 🤔, or is that Tracy in a Rodan the Petty costume?

Today we were served Red Herring Chowder with Olive making all these allegations against Adam. I would imagine that Olive has heightened the conspiracy theory to get Poppin’ Fresh on board making him provide his real medical records and have her speak to his doctors.   Insurance companies would have their own medical records and if he paid for the treatments out of pocket, than there would be receipts of payment made by Poppin’ Fresh.  Has Olive switch to Plan B by not going to Tuscany?  Had Olive set a trap for Poppin’ Fresh in getting him to try to set up Adam for a fall?

Adam is 100% correct about Olive. She was put in charge of an established company and has only added pieces of already established companies. Olive has not anything that was created by her hands. Victor built NE from the ground up and didn’t John Abbott build Jabot Cosmetics from the ground up?  What industry did Olive build?  None, Olive just added pieces.  Like the fictional Victor and John, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates built empires.

The pretend barometric pressure kept the Newman jet from taking off. Gee, I hate when that happens. 🙄

And like the proverbial bad penny, Phyllis turns up in LA right where Jack is. Does she have a GPS tracker on his phone or something?

"Finding out the person who professes to love you has been manipulating you and playing on your sympathies is the ultimate betrayal." Wow, apparently Sally has zero sense of irony. Or she has selective amnesia since that's pretty much what she did to Wyatt Spencer out in LA. Does Adam know about that?

Oy, Victoria, you might want to think twice about drinking or eating anything Ashland hands to you. 🤮

Phyllis' hair looked nice today IMO.

Victor doesn't think Ashland had his own people go over that co-CEO contract with a fine-toothed comb? If Ashland didn't he's not much of a business shark after all.

Or so you thought, Phyllis. Or so we all thought. Ding dong, the witch named Diane Jenkins is not dead.

Okay, smart move by Victoria to give Ashland the idea to point the finger at Adam on the whole faked illness scheme. If Ashland goes after Adam that could eliminate two problems for her at the same time. But I doubt Victor would let Ashland get away with it because he knows Adam didn't set Ashland up. And Ashland knows it too.

I did not have Phyllis being the voice of reason wrt Diane on my Y&R bingo card for today. Maybe when Jack calms down he should listen to her. It's better to play offense versus defense when dealing with Diane. She's nucking futz.

Heh, Ashland was looking at Victoria like, "Who ARE you?" The story she was weaving for him about Adam was beyond his wildest dreams and she was handing it to him on a silver platter.

Someone at Jabot needs to be fired. Why would Ashley not have Kyle's phone number in Milan? Doesn't Ashley's fragrance company in Paris do business with Jabot? She likely talks to Kyle on a  regular basis. Diane + social engineering = stupid. 🤨

Yeah, it's the beginning of your end, Ashland. Adam is nobody to mess with, especially when he's being falsely accused. And now he's got his corporate gun moll Sally by his side. Buckle up, buttercup.

Surprise, biatch! Hey Diane, it's your worst enemy come to protect her man. You better brace for turbulence.

I thought she was saying that because of her first-hand experience and the regrets she feels over it.  Adam does know about her time in LA...he and Sally disclosed all the details of their respective sordid histories.

The only cafe in Los Angeles has generic ketchup, but they splurge for Cholula hot sauce.  Go figure.  I can't believe this Diane story is going to be all about Phyllis.  What am I talking about?  Of course I believe it.

Yesterday's show was pretty decent, all things considered.  Any day that involves Adam and Sally together, especially when they're both relatively dialed back, is a good day for me.  I know she's not everyone's cup of tea, but I've liked Courtney Hope since I first set eyes on her.

While I decidedly didn't take to Mark Grossman when he first took over the role, I'm loving him these days - which roughly coincides with him being paired up with Sally.  Something's different, something's working - for me - that none of the previous Adams have ever managed to do, and that's me enjoying the character.  It's sorta freaky though, considering how much I loathed the character since he first came to town.

There was one thing on yesterday's episode that had me wondering.  So it would take a bare minimum of 6 hours for Phyllis to get from the lobby of the Glandular Phallus to that roof deck restaurant in L.A. where she surprised Jack.  Does that mean that Jack kept that seat for 6 hours, nursing one lousy cup of coffee while tieing up a table into the second shift?

He better have tipped that wait person with a hefty amount of Jabot shares if that's what he did.

Agreed on Sally and Adam!

I'm basically fast-forwarding all Victor/Ashland/Victoria stuff....

I like Allie, Diane and Kyle's return has potential...but yeah Phyllis doesn't need to be inserted in all of this although I will say Diane is a worthy rival. Having Phyllis vs all these characters young enough to be her daughter just didn't resonate.

So apparently it's still the same day (March 25) in GC and LA because no one has changed clothes yet. Yeesh, Y&R's budget must be running on the rims.

Today Diane mentioned how cute Kyle and Summer were together as kids. I've never understood it when people keep talk of those two being pals since childhood. Kyle is supposed to be like five years older than Summer. Unless Kyle had no kids his age to socialize with, I just don't see a boy wanting to hang out with a girl so much younger than him. That generally doesn't start happening at least until the girl reaches the age of consent, and then it's usually due to raging hormones.

Okay, Ashley is already acting threatened by Allie before she's even met her. But WTF, she's shading Allie for possibly using nepotism as a career path? Pshht. At least Allie really is in John Abbott's bloodline. Yeah I said it, Miss Ashley. Come at me. 🤨

Lol, in the flashback, why was Jack sitting by the Abbott pool playing with baby Kyle while wearing dress pants, a shirt, and a tie?

I don't get why Allie is still dealing with Diane. She knows Diane used Keemo's death to manipulate her and Jack. And that Diane's faked her own death for years. IMO Allie should be keeping maximum distance between herself and that nutbag. But I guess she now considers Diane a step-grandma of sorts since she's Kyle's mother.

AFAIC, Phyllis looked so much better back when she had short hair and some baby fat on her. Meanwhile, based on those flashbacks, Diane has long chosen her a$$ over her face. Catherine Deneuve would approve.

Today Ashley announced the theme of the latest Jack & Diane story arc:

80s hair band anthems FTW!

Oh god, this reminds me of the Thanksgiving my mom hosted my family and my aunt's with her grown kids and grand kids. Due to space limitations, my 18 year old son had to sit at the kid's table. We noticed he was cutting up his little cousin's meat for her. Afterwards I told him how sweet I thought that was and asked him what possessed him to do it. He goes "Well she told me to!"

If Genoa City was free of nepotism, they're be a lot of people cadging food for free from Sharon at Crimson Lights or dumpster diving for fun and pleasure.

Both of which happen now, come to think of it.....

All of these folks like Ashley and Billy and every Newman from now into eternity who blathers on about how "hard" they've worked to get where they are without ever realizing they were born on third base can take a seat.  Of course, that seat will have been bought and paid for by the previous generation, too.

Why in the name of all that’s holy did neither Jack nor Phyllis ask Diane HOW Ashe got Kyle’s phone number?

and speaking of Diane, way to gloss over what a horrid mother she was when telling her story to Allie. So Kyle is ‘ everything’ to her? She’s got a funny way of showing it.

and I’ll pull up a chair at my table for one, but I’m getting a kick out of the flashbacks. I wasn’t watching back then but damn MSt and SW still look amazing! Why is Rodan the Yenta even there and why must she stick her beak into the situation that is really non of her business. Oh, if forgot it’s because when TIIC need to have a combatant in a scene, Rodan the Yenta is the top of the call sheet.  I can’t believe that TIIC are allowing Jack to take a backseat to Rodan the Yenta.

If I hear Jack say one more time that Diana gave up her rights to be a mother and grandmother when she walked away from her son I’m going to 🤯.  Jack, you hypocritical ass hat, Dina walked away also and you welcomed her back with open arms.

Jack might view things through rose colored glasses but Ashley and Nostrils view things through skepticism.  Please STFU Rodan the Yenta you are really no better than Diane.  Rodan the Yenta you said that you have changed, 🐂💩, those flashbacks showed you haven’t changed one iota except in getting older.

I kind of like the idea of Allie and Diane forming a friendship/alliance of sorts.  Maybe outsider Allie bonds with her new Uncle Kyle and helps him get over his shock and anger and nudges him towards forgiveness, and the two of them soften Jack's attitude towards Diane.  Tracy may be on to something about Dina's magical necklace leading Jack to his "true love", but that true love might be with Diane, not Phyllis.  If Diane really has re-examined her life and changed her ways, Jack will remember what he saw in her 40 years ago.  Phyllis, though, is still the same Phyllis she's always been.  She may think she's matured, but anyone who witnessed her CAW CAW CAW in the middle of a hotel lobby would say otherwise.

Some things you might want to look into...where I am, when Y&R or B&B are pre-empted for some local reason, KDKA does one of two things.  Either they air them after the late late show (the show that comes on after Stephen Colbert), or they air them on the CW at their regular times.  (Here in Pittsburgh, the CW is the sister station of KDKA, the CBS affiliate.  I'm not sure if that's true everywhere.)  I can't believe they would pre-empt Y&R so many times without having some alternate way to watch it.

I'm enjoying the flashbacks too, so I'll join you at the table! It's also interesting to see that Phyllis and Jack had some amazing chemistry before the writers took 1,001 shits on it. I can now understand why a few people were team Phyllis/Phack back then. But today? That ship has long since sailed. At least I hope so, but I'm calling it now. Diane is going to be used to prop up Jack & Phylthy as a couple 😒

I would've liked it a little better if Allie had given Diane some crap about being sneaky and manipulative. Would've given the chance for the actress to show some fire, but hopefully another time. Maybe she'll go off when meets Buttbiscuit and it fully sinks in that she shares DNA with him.

I was surprised to find myself enjoying today's episode.   It's pretty crazy how much a soap can do with just people talking in an interesting way.  And MS not yelling.

Diane is a kind of a troll, it's darkly entertaining.   And Tracy....in her own way, she's pretty manipulative.

Loved Ashley's "yeah, this is bullshit, but I hope you're right" expression to Tracy's wish upon a star theory.

I do "miss" (if you can miss something you never saw) how roguish and assertive Jack seemed in the flashbacks.   I don't know if he could or should play exactly that same way now, but I just get the sense PB could be playing a more vibrant character than what Jack's been for years.

I liked the flashbacks, too.  Partly for the pleasure of seeing sets long since relegated to the attic, and the other for reminding me why I liked all of this in the long ago.

Those flashbacks did Phyllis no favors.  For all of her constant yapping on how she's changed, those old clips show she's exactly the same hypocritical, self-serving, mean-spirited harridan she always was.  That one clip where she told Diane to take her "brat" and disappear certainly runs counter to her current claim of caring deeply for Kyle.

Ashley and Traci really blew it.  There they were, alone with ButtBiscuit, the perfect opportunity to drug him senseless, tie him up, dump him on Jaboat and then scuttle it in Lake Michigan.  Diane's back, blame it on her.

Now, because they missed their chance, they're going to have to somehow explain to Allie, when they finally meet her, why a mean-spirited motor mouth Aardvark is somehow her great-uncle Billy.

That poor girl is in for a shock.

Yeah, that made no sense whatsoever that Allie would seek out Diane after Diane's game playing and Jack's harsh words about her. Didn't he explicitly tell Allie to stay away from Diane? It seems completely illogical that Allie would want to get Diane's side of things. All I can figure is that the MWTs are trying to make Diane sympathetic now. And this was the best they could come up with?

I was. But not anymore. Not for a long time. They've been back and forth too many times. Phylthy cheating on Jack with Buttbiscuit went way too far. Irredeemable.

I have to say I hate how they keep comparing Diane to Dina. Dina was a lousy mother and outright up and left, abandoned her kids but she didn't fake her own death. She was honest in her assholiness and owned it. Flaunted it even. Completely different from this Diane retconned nonsense.

In that box of earthly delights Jack found at Keemo's house, there was a picture of Keemo with two women and one little girl.  I think Jack identified one of the women as Keemo's sister but at that time, not the other one or the little girl.  So I assume the "other" woman was Keemo's wife/ex-wife?

I remember wondering at the time why neither he nor super sleuth Phyllis wondered if the other woman might be Keemo's wife but apparently the effort for anyone in Genoa City to put A together with B has become an insurmountable task.

I wouldn't blame it all on the writers. At some point MS allegedly decided having her character paired with PB's made her look older. So then Phick happened and Phyllis became the permanent über-MILF (in her mind, anyway). Then we got GT Phyllis coupled with JT Billy, something I'm 100% confident would not have happened if MS hadn't left Y&R for a while. I agree though, the original Jack & Phyllis were fire, and one of my favorite couples.

Looks like the MWT's are really spending alot of time to finally fleshing out Rey's personality and viewpoints for us all before we tell him "Vaya con dios". So nice for Rey to be the center of everyone's attention before he's kicked to the curb. Cue a relapse of PTSD/depression for Chance with Rey's outcome.

Victoria's soliloquy to Pillsbury Ashland the traits of psychopathy that lead to eventual failure was well written and for once AH seemed animated and even the Doughboy seemed energetic. Now all that's left is for the Newman family to catch him in person or on tape in Adam's office. The only thing that would blow my mind would be if they caught Sally in cahoots with Pillsbury. That huge media platform Adam/Sally were proposing to Victor would make for a good future for the Doughboy to anticipate. Oh! When Ashland said he and Victoria should go home, and get some sleep I got so excited....like: Yay! She's finally gonna change her clothes!

Two things right off the bat with today’s episode. Chance 2.0 spit curl if very off putting and when did Abby become a Drum Major of a Marching Band. All that is missing is her baton.

Adam and Sally came up with a very sound business plan but Victor shot it down because Victor doesn’t want Adam to prove that he was more capable of running NE in the first place. Victor thinks thatOlive, an art major, out trumps Adam who holds a masters degree from the Harvard School of Business.  Victor tells Adam not to confuse business with the personal but isn’t that what he is doing with Olive?  Did hell freeze over?  Did Victor finally realize that Adam’s plan was sound and gave him the go ahead?  It sure looked that way.  Maybe Victor wants to resurrect “The Rat Patrol”.

Chance 2.0 acts like Bowie is his step-child that he has trouble bonding with. I get where he’s coming from because a lot of men do but there are more men that have an absolute infinity for their step-child. Here I have to give Banana Breath for the love he had for Cassie and his love Christian.  Although Banana Breath doesn’t seem to have the same type of bonding with Mariah.

Olive in talking to Poppin’ Fresh about how people usually make a mistake when pulling elaborate cons because its their arrogance that trip them up along with feeling invincible and smarter than everyone else. Poppin’ Fresh has a very guilty face even after Olive said she was talking about Adam. Poppin’ Fresh is still trying to cover his tracks knowing that Adam was not behind implicating him in faking cancer. He knows that the more Olive investigates the more he will be exposed because he would have to produce medical records that shows he had cancer and chemo treatments.

For me, hockey seats up against the glass are not the best seats for viewing a hockey game but they are the best seats in the house if you like to watch players get their bodies checked into the boards and face driven into the glass. The best seats to watch the entire rink is usually about five rows behind the glass near the red line (center rink).

How convent for Adam to leave his laptop on the desk and the office door unlocked. Security must have gotten the day off and Sally is nowhere to be found.  I smell a set up was it by Victor or Olive?  Is Sally going to catch Poppin’ Fresh in the act or is there a hidden camera?

Dear God. Could we please finally be done with this Ashland and Victoria story?! I actually turned the show off today because I was so worn out with everyone repeating the same crap they’ve been saying for 6 months.

How long, oh lawd, how long is this day? Victoria is still in that dress. 🤬

Bio-based fabric. Okay, I didn't know that was a thing. Leave it to Chelsea to be a cutting-edge fashion designer. Sure.

Only crazypants Chelsea would cheerfully refer to her almost killing an innocent man because she was jealous of his wife as a "bump in the road."

Victor is lucky he didn't walk into the office and catch Adam and Sally in flagrante on the couch. Poor guy probably would've had a seizure. 😏

I just don't get Rey's agita about Sharon's kids. They're all grown except for Faith and she'll probably turn 18 within the next year or so. When he came along they already had their own lives to live. Plus there's the fact that their parents have both been married many times. They've learned not to invest too much in the step-parent du jour. Ease up, Rey. It's not about you.

Does Adam know Rey is taking Connor to Chicago on an overnight trip? He might not approve of that, especially if Rey is going to drive them.

Wow, I'm impressed at the way Victoria now has Ashland eating out of the palm of her hand. It'll be interesting to see how she's to planning to avoid returning to the marital bed. Perhaps she'll create a work emergency which requires her to pull an all-nighter. In. That. Dress. ☠

Oy, Victoria and her hourly summons to family meetings. How do the Newmans not feel like she's yanking their collective chain? Meanwhile, Abby is blissfully unaware of it all. 🎶Fah lah lah, lah lah!🎶

Not only did Adam not lock his office, he likely doesn't have a password on his computer either. Piece of cake for Ashland to plant some false evidence of Adam scheming against him. Unless COO "I stay in 5th gear" Sally walks in and catches him.

Lol, Ashland bought gloves. He's about to do some serious super secret agent stuff to Adam's notebook and he's not going to leave any incriminating fingerprints. What a joke.

As much as it would be sad for a child to be killed, I won’t miss Rey at all. What a useless character. I didn’t believe him as Sharon’s love of her life or as a dectective on the force. He was just a no-never-mind as far as my interest.

Rey seems like a male model who Sharon saw in a magazine and somehow ended up living in her house. Her fairytale dream of the ideal man who ends up being a boring nonentity. Or Hymie the Robot from the Get Smart TV show.

Oh, you really missed a lot!  Victoria and Ashland talked, Nick and ButtBiscuit grunted and tossed poop, Victor mumbled, Chelsea dithered and bubbled, Abby desperately pretended her life wasn't a train wreck, Rey Rey and Bag of Hair bromanced each other and the writing staff earned another day's pay for absolutely no reason.

I just can't picture mop with the Pillsbury Constipated Insurance Salesman. Actually... it's really funny thinking of that.

Wondering if Rey and Connor will be in an accident on the way to Chicago.  Why else mention it I wonder…will this be how Rey leaves?

They also just had ButtBiscuit mention Gaines. Is he coming back for the finale of the Pillsbury Constipated Insurance Salesman?

What's especially odd is that Faith did particularly bond with Rey more than any of Sharon's other exes she's been around.  He just met Noah and Mariah's an adult doing her own thing, so that's probably close to peak step dad success.  Not like it's gonna matter now, anyway.
