  1. Whether she is still there because she wants to be or not, she is 100% better actor that Kim. If it were me, I would be happy of the steady income, longevity, and to be working with the same family. I like consistency, and would hate to be wondering year after year where my next paycheck is coming from. I think a lot of soap actors are like that. Not everyone needs to prove themselves in other areas. Just like not all actors try the stage, etc. To each his own. Many soap actors are much more well known that likely the majority of working actors.
  2. Hmmm, so Kim claims that she didn't give the bunny to her grandson because it has bad energy. Can't remember if Lisa gave Kim the bunny before or after the grandson was born, but the kid was born last October so safe to say Kim has held on to the bunny for 5 - 6 months. Bad energy my ass. More like trying to hang on to your job. I also found it funny that Kim admitted that this show was her job. Even demoted, she is doing everything she can to stay on. The conversation about why she looks down on Eileen and Lisa was hilarious. Kim apparently has no idea that many actors/actresses got their start on soaps. And of course Eileen's career spans 35 years. Kim OTOH? Never even heard of her until I started watching this franchise. I think if I referred to Kim as a D list actress, it would be a promotion. I want LisaR's FU recorder.
  3. I am confused about the above information. On the show, the grandmother Dee said that after Abbi (Annie) was born and given up her daughter April wanted to have her tubes tied but the doctor said she was too young. Two years later April did meet someone and get married, and she and her husband had three children together. They even showed a picture of the oldest daughter and the three younger children as kids - of the three younger by her husband one was a boy, and two were girls - the girls that were shown as adults on the show. So 5 kids including Abbi, three fathers, and the youngest three kids including the two half sisters of Abbi's shown on the shown are full siblings. Edited to add: Oops, the two sisters that Abbi was introduced to (and were with their grandmother at the first part of the show) were April's first daughter Samantha, and one of the younger daughters Alexis. So they are half sisters as well.
  4. I thought the casting was well done (for the most part) but wondered why Perry was cast as Teddy, Then I saw that Perry was executive producer, so I guess that answers the question.
  5. Well that was just wrapped up way too quickly. Which makes me think that in a few years when Bella and Johnny are SORASED, they will start dating and find out they are really siblings. Because that has never been done before. Am I the only one that thought that Phyllis changed the paternity test (because again, this is a soap and anything can happen - multiple times) to make Kevin the baby daddy so she could keep Billy focused on her?
  6. That was one of my favourite scenes ever in this franchise. Not only did it show a classless Countess, but the grovelling one as well, desperate to get into Bethenny's good graces. It is too bad that Ramona was dis invited by Tom to Lu's birthday party last year (apparently because it was supposed to rain so there wasn't room for Ramona in his apartment). I would have loved to see Ramona re-re-gift Lu's gift.
  7. Luckily I had PVR'd the show so could ff to see WTH was going on. Since it was 10 minutes into the hour before the show I was supposed to be watching started, had I not PVR'd I would have changed channels and watched something else. I watched Long Lost Family, and stopped watching when the new show came on. I guess TLC thought it was a clever way to introduce a new show, but it just ticked me off instead - lol.
  8. I have never been an Ashley fan, and only started watching RHOBH to see if I would like the actor and more than her character. As it turns out I love ED, so I feel so bad for her having this pathetic storyline. As much as Ravi looks 100 % better in a suit than nerd clothes, there is still no chemistry there. OTOH I am pleasantly surprised at Erika G's turn as Farrah. (I missed her first visit to Y&R). I think she is a much better actor than she is a performer as Erika Jane.
  9. Ugh, another "who's the daddy" storyline. And will this be like the typical paternity s/l on Y&R where the daddy really isn't the daddy? Or isn't, then is, then isn't? Ad nauseam. I have only ever watched one other soap (the long departed Edge of Night) and don't remember this done over and over. And over again? Is it typical on other soaps? Yawn. So if they make Billy the father, does that mean that we can expect Kevin to be revealed as Bella's real father? Maybe 50 years down the road? If Kevin is the daddy, do we then worry that at some point it will be revealed that Billy is daddy to Delia 2.0? It is like crying wolf for writers. After awhile (as in now) no one cares. I have been meaning to ask as I watch the show on and off - why is Billy referred to here as ButtBiscuit? Does he have a big butt? Most nicknames are self explanatory, but don't quite get this one.
  10. Wouldn't they have to create a whole new category to do that? The Emmy for best limited series/movie doesn't differentiate as to whether it is original or adapted. Even the Oscars doesn't care where the best actor/actress etc. is concerned, the Oscar goes to the writer. So don't see how/why the Emmys would create a category for best actor/actress in an original limited series and another for adapted limited series.
  11. Butt lady and muscle man were soooooo annoying. I have no idea why they got a deal. The apparel was nothing special, and neither were they. If I was going to buy fitness apparel because of how the creator looks, I would buy Kate Hudson's which I think is very cute and reasonably priced. I would not buy from a Kardashian wannabe who is already looking a little long in the tooth, and who's product is nothing special and overpriced. The segment on the rescue signal guy seemed to be missing parts of the back and forth. It just made no sense to me that not one shark was interested. But three were thrilled to buy into a sippy cup for wine lovers. I just do not get this show at times.
  12. This episode for me put Jessica Lange ahead of Nicole Kidman as Emmy winner for actress in a limited series. And I loved NK in Big Little Lies. Lange gave me chills, several times. I never totally bought Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis, and have wondered all along why more wasn't done to also make her look more like BD. I thought it was very interesting that BD (I assume it was true) made a snide remark about Katharine Hepburn never having children, but it seems in the end the only child she had a relationship with was the daughter who might not even know who she was? They never did mention much about her son. OTOH Joan appeared to have a close relationship with her younger daughters. In any case I love this series, and the final episode was my favourite. Jessica Lange's performance in the dream scene was brilliant, right down to Mamacita coming to bring her back to bed.
  13. Totally agree with Eileen and Yolanda being beauties. The only RHNY I would consider a beauty would be Sonja. Lu is handsome on a good day. In fact I was taken with how much Lu and Caitlin Jenner, in her recent interview, now look alike.
  14. I am misunderstanding what you meant then by off limits. I thought you meant on this board. Whether Victoria's DUI will be brought up by other cast Members? I don't follow any HW 's on SM. But I would not put it past Ramona since she had no problem bringing up a completely innocent six year old.
  15. Sorry my reply was to zoeysmom's post at the end of the last page. I didn't quote it as I am on my tablet and it can be a PITA. By the time I posted there were several other replies.
  16. Why would Victoria be off limits? Not only is she an adult but has been on the show as recently as this episode. I doubt she is showing up for free. She has also had a show of her art featured on a epi in a previous season. Nope. Not off limits at all.
  17. I had never heard of this so had to look it up. So the Go Fund Me page was started by Noel with Luann's OK. Apparently to help a nephew of Lu's who was in a car accident. The fund has only raised $12,995 since the end of December, a little over half of the goal. Only 29 people have contributed (including Sonja who donated $200 and wasn't even invited to the wedding, according to Lu). Seems like the idea went over like a lead balloon with the 250 or so wedding guests. Given Victoria's very recent DUI, it would be nice if Lu would start a new campaign with funds going to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. Or maybe make a sizable contribution herself. Once she has paid for Victoria's lawyer, of course.
  18. I have always wondered, given that there seemed to be rumors of Mario's unfaithfulness a few years before the mistress, who seemed to end the marriage, if Ramona really had no idea or just looked the other way? In any case though, even if Mario was unfaithful for the last few years they apparently did have many years of a successful marriage. I can't remember if it was this episode, or the previous one, where Lu was discussing her relationship with Tom. It may have been the last one where she had lunch with Ramona? In any case she made a comment to the effect that he had better not cheat on her again (referring to the tongue down the ex's throat). I was surprised that Lu let her guard down - it wasn't the usual drivel that she has been pedaling, that they are soul mates. She really did give the impression (at least to me) that she thought it was a definite possibility that it could happen again, not a one-time-would-never-happen-again mistake. A very candid moment, as opposed to the fairly tale that Lu has been presenting as real life. Edited to add: given that Lu's daughter was arrested just two weeks ago for a DUI of almost twice the legal limit (and was pulled over to start with because she was driving after dark with no headlights) ....I wonder how Tom is enjoying his very recent title as step dad?
  19. As much as Luann has always implied that she was an Registered Nurse (and may have actually stated it ) she wasn't. She was an Licensed Vocational Nurse. Very different in terms of educational requirements, responsibilities and pay. There is nothing wrong with being an LVN, but Lu wanted the credit of being an RN without actually earning it. Not that that surprises me. In the least. This is very interesting! So one or two of the scenes in the first epi were actually filmed not only after the election, but after Lu's wedding? Can you share which one(s)? From your user name, I assume you have inside info?
  20. Beth's private life has been talked about on the show, including last year's reunion. Lu on the other hand - I would imagine she has it written into her contract that Tom has to be a part of the show, if not on it. He is how she has kept her apple. I don't think grovelling, homeless Lu was that appealing to many.
  21. Yes, still legally married. On paper. Which is what I said. I think it is smart of Beth and Dennis to take it slow - certainly smarter than Lu and Tom rushing into marriage. But that's just me. I really don't care if Beth's love life is on TV. So far we have not seen Tom or Dorinda's boyfriend this season and I don't care if we do. In fact prefer it if we don't. Some men end up thinking they are one of the housewives - like PK on RHOBH. Go away. Just like I don't care to see Dorinda's annoying daughter or Victoria. Just. Don't Care.
  22. The current episode was filmed 6 months ago - they could have indeed stepped back at that time. I am glad to hear that they are still together. As far as filing for divorce? My sister is still married to her husband - they have been apart since 1999. He has lived with the woman he left my sister for since then. My brother and sis in law also have never divorced - been apart since 1991. Some people do not find the need to divorce if they have no intention of remarrying. Another friend doesn't even have a separation agreement from her ex and he left her 2 1/2 years ago for another woman. They can't agree on the terms of the separation agreement, hence there isn't one. But none of the 6 people in the above examples considers themselves to be married. They are on paper only.
  23. Ramona should send Nicole Kidman a letter of concern and ask her how she is explaining her role on the limited TV series "Big Little Lies" to her girls. The sex scenes certainly left nothing to the imagination - nudity and grinding included. Lol. I think Nicole's kids are 9 and 7, so Ramona should be concerned. Come to think if it, in another HBO show Girls, Lena Dunham is naked more than she is clothed. Lots of grinding there, too. Maybe Bethenny should pedal her movie to HBO?
  24. Spoken like a true man. That Lu needs Tom to make her great again. Lol. Though I do believe that is what Lu thinks about herself. Sad. Honestly though I would not want to be any of these women. I wonder how many women watch this show wishing they were one of them? No one that I know. But Lu would be at the bottom of the list of who I would trade places with, if it meant adopting her personality and low self esteem as well. And of course, Tom.
  25. Bethenny, any day of the week. But then I have always been independent, and never needed or wanted a man to make me happy. Lu is the last person I would want to be. I find women who cannot live without a man pathetic. Maybe it is because you are a male that you think Tom is a catch, but speaking from a woman's (or at least my) POV, he isn't. And being a "confirmed bachelor" means nothing. There could be a whole line of women who rejected him before he married Lu at age 50. I think Bethenny would be the last person who would be jealous of Lu and Tom. Well maybe second last, behind me.
