  1. I am hoping Larry is found innocent, Josh and Summer decide they are in love, and Josh opens up a practice in town. Larry becomes Josh's father in law and the dream team stays together. I suppose Josh and the prosecutor could also end up together, but I hope they don't. I loved the start of the first epi this week when Larry was wearing toe socks. Also Dwayne thinking he is in a relationship with Summer. My fav line of his was when Summer said they had to talk and Dwayne positively beamed and said "Just what every guy wants to hear". Lol. Dwayne also had another of my favourite lines when Josh said he would send out investigators to track down Margaret's phone and Dwayne says "Or you could just send Anne and me". Loved the juror knitting. Whoever is responsible for casting this show should get an Emmy. Edited to add - great comments above regarding Margaret's phone. I was trying to think of a reason Larry would not turn it over but it totally makes sense (from what we have seen of Larry - ha!) that he would want to continue to use Margaret's phone given what he said about the phone company. I love that in 10 short epis we are starting to think like Larry......
  2. Yeah, not to mention a woman who lied to her first husband about being the father of her son to get him to marry her. And got pregnant with her second child by having an affair with a married man. Oh, and tried to run down the woman who was really the love of your first husband's life. (That did come out eventually, didn't it? Hard to remember back that far). That is just off the top of my head. Phyll has always had questionable morals (not that that is unusual in a soap of course) but really Lauren....that is what you want for your son?
  3. I have never been a Boy George fan, so had no idea of his past. Wow, not only is he a convicted drug felon, but was imprisoned in the UK for 15 months for imprisoning a male escort, handcuffing him to a wall and beating him with a metal chain. He also falsely reported a burglary at his apartment in New York City. Wow, just the kind of upstanding person I would want as godfather for my child. I will admit I did laugh out loud on a previous show when Dorito acted shocked - shocked I say - at the idea of drugs being consumed in her house. She has two babies, after all! As if no mother/father has even done drugs. Come to think of it, maybe that is why she needs 24/7 nanny care for her children. Hmmmm.........
  4. Dorito loves her accent. That is why she has it, IMO. She said herself in the reunion that she has no idea why she didn't have an accent in 2013. Not that she must have developed it after being married to PK. Just that she has no explanation for why she did not have one three years ago. (Going by having one in 2016 when she started the show). And I agree with other posters who have said that if she was picking up PK's accent, she would not sound at all like she does.
  5. I do not find Nikki's stance the least bit believable. She has stood by Victor before so why not now? The only reason seems to be that Brash and Sassy would be ruined. But she never cared about Newman possibly being ruined previously when Victor has done something unspeakable? Nope. Not buying it. Lauren trying to set Phyllis up with her son? As if! What every mother wants for her unmarried and childless son - a grandmother past child bearing age. And wouldn't Scott and Daniel be about the same age? Sheesh. I don't mind Gloria and Jack together one iota. Especially if it will make Phyll's head explode. More power to them. Loved Reed's "Help me" plea to Billy when he was about to head off with the examiner. Cute.
  6. This is the best thing I have read in this forum this year - love it!!! I was quite surprised at how nervous LVP was before they went on stage to film the reunion. Not nearly as cool, calm and collected as she likes to come across. And I don't for a minute believe that LVP was innocently asking Erika about how she raised her son as opposed to how she was raised. She knew exactly what she was doing. LVP (as she said) is a long time friend of PK's - she is the one that suggested PK and Dorito for the show. There is no way she would not want to embarrass Erika after Erika has called out her friends, several times. Dorito without the accent in 2013 is hilarious!!! I keep thinking about the article link in last week's thread where Dorito and PK are interviewed regarding going on the show. PK claims that they are the most open, honest people you will ever meet, with nothing to hide. Lol. I wonder how many assests he hid during his bankruptcy to be able to afford 3 full time housekeepers and a stable of nannies. Not to mention the rent on their house (have they ever admitted that it is a rental?), expensive cars, etc. Anyone wanna bet on when his next bankruptcy will be?
  7. I also think they will have a relationship, and possibly even a close one. I hope they do a follow up story on them as it seems like there were some interesting ties with Glenn's wife working as a teacher at the same school that it appears Glenn's biological grandfather was a teacher at. I think those types of ties may bond them. I do think that close brother - sister relationships may be a little less likely than say sister-sister, but as Denise said Glenn appears to have a big heart, and I think for her having Glen in her life will be life having part of her mom back. I think it is likely just as well (though sad for Gina) that Gina's adoptive mom has passed away because it seems like her bio mom is very needy and I think had her adoptive mom still been alive that could present another layer of feelings to deal with. I am not sure if the bio mom is just needy because she never had other children (I think she even said that herself, that she had no other children to focus on) but she may need help in figuring out how not to smother Gina.
  8. I was enjoying this episode as it appeared to be politics-free and then bam, 15 minutes in and they bring up Trump. Ugh. And yawn. I enjoyed the case about the pastor, and particularly Marissa and the investigator Jay. I would like to see much more of them. Still don't care about Maia and her family, or about Lucca. And continue to hate how Diane's character is being written.
  9. So now Canada is stuck with Chloe? Well Trudeau did say that all are welcome.......
  10. According to Luann, her mother is French Canadian and her father is of Algonquin and French descent.
  11. According to the link above regarding the adopted girls' bio dad, the older girl was born in 1981 and the younger in 1983, the same year the dad died. Their mother died (I'd like to say was killed) in 1985, so the girls were 4 and 2. So quite likely they didn't remember either their bio dad or bio mom growing up since they were so young when they lost them. Kind of explains their devotion to Peterson. Still odd though that there would not have been relatives on either side of the girls' bio parents that their mother would have wanted to place them with, rather than a friend. I wish they had shown better pictures of the stairs. Where all the blood was was a landing, then the stairs turned to the left. The showed the body at the bottom of the stairs but from what looked like maybe an office. Hard to tell if there were a lot of stairs from where the landing was, to where she ended up? I do remember the police saying if she had fallen down the stairs, she would not have ended up in the position she was in. Regarding the feathers, maybe Peterson placed them in her hand? Was there a stuffed owl somewhere, or feathers in the house otherwise? Wasn't the owl defense floated the first time around but discounted? I thought I heard that the police were making fun of the idea by posting a wanted picture of an owl? And were the feathers identified as owl? Can't remember - or just some type of feather but not id'd as to which type.
  12. Ah, I missed that. Did they say how? The girls seemed pretty young when their mom died.
  13. Well we do have Mrs. D'Agostino (Lu) now. And Tommy. Maybe they could move Mrs. D'Agostino Sr. in, and she could continue to buy Tommy's clothes and bake cookies for Tommy's Cookies jar. (Which Lu seems to have hidden). Though they presently do not have room for her, I think she might be a great addition to the cast.
  14. I was wondering who the father was of the daughters of the "friend"? Was he dead? If not why would he not have custody of his children when the mother died? Or was she a single mother with the "father" never in the picture? I thought both adopted daughters looked like Peterson. Also what happened to the wife he was married to when the friend died? Odd that he ended up raising the two sons, though I guess if they were old enough when he and first wife split they may have made that decision. I thought it was rather creepy that wedding pictures were taken of Peterson and Kathleen on the bottom of stairs, with Kathleen crouching and looking up at Peterson who is looming over her. If for no other reason that his supposedly good friend and mother of his two adopted daughters died at the bottom of stairs. Cold. I find the owl theory rather hard to believe if only because would she not be screaming if she was hurt that badly? And wouldn't she run to where her husband was, or at the very least to maybe her bedroom. Why would she run downstairs? Why would she not get a towel to try to stop the bleeding? And she did not have much alcohol in her system so why would she be banging around on the staircase. Then there is the staged wine glasses on the counter, but none of her fingerprints. I definitely still think he is guilty. If he remarries (which seems doubtful but you never know) I hope his new wife insists on a home with no stairs.
  15. Didn't I read that Beth paid 5 million for her place? (For comparison sake).Seems like that would have been around 2011 as well. But Bethenny's was 3600 Sq ft. Tom's looks to be less than 900 if you add up the LR/BR/DR/KI areas. No wonder the tour was so short - there was nothing else to see. As another poster said the wrap around terrace is a waste of space - I would want those three feet wide areas as indoor space. I laugh now when I remember Lu saying of the kitchen and dining room that they spend a lot of time there, implying that there are more areas to the apt. Nope, all you got is the bedroom. If I was married to Tommy I would be spending most of my time in the kitchen and living room areas too. And I don't cook. I did notice a tiny powder room but it is right beside the kitchen - eewww. But in a tiny space I guess you don't have a lot of choice.
  16. I am sad that they killed off Ellen Burstyn so soon as I was hoping she would make at least a couple of more appearances. I like the twist though with Bonnie having a brother. I wish they had said how much younger he is supposed to be - looks like a decade or so but who knows. I hope they bring him back for more shows as I think the show needs a new family type character since Christy's kids are not around. (And I don't miss them, either). My only quibble with the show would be the end when Bonnie went to her mother's grave. It seemed like it was supposed to be fairly recently after her passing, but the ground did not looked disturbed at all, as if the grave had been there for quite some time.
  17. There were poinsettias in the living room in the tour Luann gave? All I saw was some roses in a vase on the coffee table. And the same vase/roses appeared to have been moved to the glass table in the kitchen before she went there as they were identical. Didn't see any other flowers at all inside on the tour. It is a great view (if you like city views) but personally I would rather have more indoor space that I can use year round than outdoor space that I can't. I don't think people care if Lu and Tom have an open relationship. I just find it surprising that after Lu lied for years about her marriage to the count, then admitted that it was an open relationship that she did not want, that she would go down that path again. Adding in all the talk of soul mates, etc. just makes it that much more pathetic.
  18. I had to look again because I also recall the outdoor furniture being sterile looking as well - and not very comfy looking to boot. There are two pillows on one couch. No plants. A couple of potted trees, and some what appear to be dying cedars. The whole place really does not look 'lived in' at all. Makes me appreciate my warm, roomy house with a great yard and lake/mountain views. But then I am not a big city kind of "girl" (™ Carole) so much prefer the Hamptons for house porn.
  19. I panicked this week when I realized that my PVR did not record this show. Luckily I was able to watch it on On Demand. I also wondered how many shows are in the series - turns out there are 13, so only 5 left. I am already going through withdrawal just thinking of it. My favourite part of this week's epis was the shirts that Dwayne was selling with Larry's picture and Guilty on it. And Ann asking if they had any in her size. And of course the sizes themselves. Loved that Dwayne was wearing toddler size, and told Josh's boss that he would be a toddler long. Lol. I wish they had carried the gag over to the sweat shirt Larry was wearing from the hospital which had XXL on the front. Though maybe that was supposed to stand for something else.
  20. I take back what I said earlier about Tommy's penthouse not being cold and sterile like so many I see on MDLNY. Both the entrance hallway and the kitchen were very cold and sterile looking. The only room that had any personality was the living room, but it was very small. The flooring looked like cheap laminate though I don't imagine it is. Since we didn't see any other rooms I wonder how big it actually is? After seeing the tour, I much prefer the apartment that Beth just sold. I no longer have the last epi on PVR but from what I remember Tommy's Cookies jar was on a kitchen counter. No sign of it in the tour. I googled to try and see how big the penthouse is, and came up with a story about Ramona being disinvited to a party Tom threw for Luann's birthday last May. It was at the last minute that she was told not to come, and the excuse Tom gave was that it was going to rain so there wasn't room for her inside the apartment. Lol. Though the space certainly doesn't seem like it would hold many people, so one would think you would need the outdoor space to entertain more than a handful.
  21. That is one of my favourite things about this series. I love seeing the different areas where they film in Vancouver, as well as some neighbouring cities/towns. In fact the building they use as city hall is the community hall in the small town where my mother was born and raised. The hall opened in the early 30s, and its building was spearheaded by the town's Women's Institute of which my great grandmother was the president. My grandfather was the hall's first caretaker. I think they have done a great job with locations in this series. My only quibble would be Betty's house and Archie's house which I believe are supposed to be across from each other (I think they have shown scenes of them looking at each other from their respective bedrooms). It is obvious from the outside of the houses that that could not be possible as Betty's house is set quite aways back from the street. I figured they were in different parts of Vancouver, but as it turns out Archie's house is in Vancouver and Betty's is in another city outside of Vancouver. As a poster upthread mentioned, I wondered what the comment about winter coming early meant as yes, syrup is tapped in early spring. But I also don't know why they had everyone wearing red at the ceremony but made no mention of it. It seems like sometimes things are edited out that might explain odd comments or scenes.
  22. Interesting to see the pics posted in the link on the previous page of the ladies at the premiere party. Ramona looks ridiculous with those huge implants. Love Carole's hair, her outfit not so much. Dorinda's jumpsuit does her no favours. I hate Tinsley's dress. The horizontal pattern makes her look way bigger than I would think she is, judging from other pics of her I have seen. Luann is back to looking mannish. And her legs (and knees) look the age she is. Which makes me wonder if they use those softening lens when the film the series. Lu in the short skirt when she met Dorinda in the park looked much softer, and her legs looked fabulous. Not at all like how they look in the premiere picture. I thought Sonja looked the best. I wonder if the tags are still on the dress?
  23. I don't think they clarified it either, but obviously he was ready to move on with Veronica's mom (in some form or another) so it seems odd to me that he would still be wearing a wedding ring. A wedding ring to me signifies a commitment, even if one is separated, to work on the marriage. Which doesn't seem to be the case here.
  24. I was trying to figure out when Archie told Cheryl that he had a girlfriend, who it was. Lol. Does anyone know the significance of everyone wearing some piece of red clothing at the syrup running ceremony? Not only red, but a specific shade of red. (Close to the colour of Cheryl's lipstick, and also the colour of Archie's jacket for the dinner). Every single person as far as I could tell had on a piece of clothing in that colour - shirt, jacket, scarf....whatever. Seemed too planned to be random, but it did look cool. I am also wondering why Fred Andrews is still wearing a wedding ring?
