  1. I bet Dale is kicking herself that she never thought to name Tinsley "Tinsdale". And like some others I was totally confused when Martin called Dorinda "Dorito" as that is what many of us call Dorit on RHoBH. I liked Martin and his advice to Tinsley, but I have to say I was uncomfortable when he kept jabbing Tinsley long after she asked him to stop. It was obvious that he wasn't hurting her, but I honestly thought she was recalling her abusive relationship with the boyfriend in Florida. When she curled up into a ball in the corner to get away from him. it broke my heart a little bit. Martin needs to listen to his clients - no means no even in that situation.
  2. I don't think I have visited this thread before, but it is interesting that posters here are wondering about WalnutQueen. A few of us in the Dateline forum have been wondering about her as well. I sent her a PM three months ago and have never had a reply. I hope she is OK - so many of us miss her posts!
  3. Thank you, VANDERBOOM. That was very sweet of you to post. My sincere condolences to you on the loss of your aunt. I feel so bad for both people who are hospitalized at this time an unable to see loved ones, and the stress that causes for loved ones. Your aunt sounds like she was a very sweet person. Also sending you healing vibes as you recover from cancer. It must be hard to see Dorinda whine, with what you have been dealing with!
  4. I found Jimmy's obvious dislike of Dr Phil quite interesting. Usually hosts are better at hiding their dislike of a guest. It made me wonder if Dr Phil was rude/arrogant to the crew before he came on (he looks like he would be that type) and that is why Jimmy treated him as he did right from the start. I have never watched Dr Phil's show, and never really watched him even during the Oprah days - not sure if he has always been that big of an azzhole, but he really is unlikable.
  5. Ooops, you are right. Ramona's new apartment isn't what her old one was (and she has said that she doesn't like her new apartment) but it is a decent size. I did prefer her old apartment, but the new one is decent too. Didn't she say she was selling it too as she has never felt comfortable in it?
  6. I remember the apartment that Lu moved to after Tom dumped her. It wasn't much different in size than Leah's. I remember the owner left books in bookshelves. But ya, it was nothing to brag about. (Lu's I mean). I will say though that I am disappointed that none of the howives have great apartments. Sonja, Leah, Ramona, Dorinda all live in shoe boxes. I understand that NYC is expensive, but I tune in partly for real estate porn, and this show is no longer doing it for me. I actually loved Sonja's townhouse, even if it was falling apart. That must be the reason they are showing so many scenes of the howives getting together in parks, walking together, etc. I would imagine it isn't easy to film in such cramped spaces as the apartments most are living in.
  7. We all have relatives and friends who have lost their spouse. And some of the posters here have shared that they have lost their spouse. My sincere sympathy to everyone who has gone through such a terrible loss. However, of all the friends and relatives I have who have lost spouses, no one - not one - has treated people the way Dorinda does. And not to make comparisons, but my mom lost the love of her life (my dad) unexpectedly after 45 years of marriage. Over the next 11 years (not much different than the time Dorinda has been a widow) she developed breast cancer twice, suffered a stroke where she lost her ability to speak, developed other illnesses including seizure disorder, and died of pancreatic cancer. She lived those last 11 years with grace, kindness, and dignity. Because that is who she was. Dorinda is a mean person because that is who she is.
  8. I posted about that last week - I couldn't understand why Kyle went on and on about the diamond ice sculpture. It was an obvious nod to the diamonds the ladies hold at the opening of the episodes. I wish Denise had pointed that out, but I am sure she was as dumbfounded by Kyle's inability to grasp the obvious as many of us sitting at home were.
  9. Lois was at her daughter's house, then she went to Erika's clubhouse with Lisa, on the way to her granddaughters' event. Then she went to dinner with the ladies. It would have been strange if Lisa had left her mother at her house while she went to Erika's, and expected her mother to get to the DNA event on her own. Or ditched her after the event while everyone else went to dinner.
  10. I think Kyle is jealous of Denise's career, even if her heyday is long over. It is still a much more successful career than Kyle had. I really don't blame Dorito for wondering WTF Sutton was taking about when she said a few times that she was going to flip out. Sutton hasn't been around long enough for Dorito to know if she really would flip out and when that might happen. And had the guy Sutton thought would be at the party been there, it may have happened. She certainly did freak out on Dorito at the dinner. It looks like Thirsty Sutton is back. I loved the look on Lois' face when Sutton made her mouse reference. Rinna's mother shaking her head at Sutton like she was BSC was priceless. Not much else to say - I can't keep track of who is mad at who for what. And care even less.
  11. She really was a piece of work. Right off the bat, her son says that Christi was a close friend of his mother's. Cut to Marni saying that Christi was just an acquaintance. I love how 20/20 from the start showed that Marni is a lying sack of shit.
  12. OMFG! That is just pathetic. Interesting that she has never talked about this crap on the show, and tried to peddle it there. I guess she is trying to act like she doesn't need to money, all the while peddling "Clip Clip" mugs and the chance to do tacky 80s aerobics with Mrs. Medley. She really should never look down her nose at John again.
  13. I think it is ironic that Jenn has previously told Judy to stop saying sorry so much, as it loses its meaning when it is said over and over. The same goes for the f bombs. If it is a frequent part of your every day conversation, you might as well be saying golly gee, as it has about as much of an effect.
  14. It's pretty rich of Dorinda to chastise Sonja and Tinsley for not moving on (ie. keeping their married names), when she has dragged Richard's ghost into every season that she has been on the show so far. Unhappy, mean, angry Dorinda is really going to lose her shit when she sees the developments in Tinsley's life over the next couple of months. BTW, WTF was Dale rambling on about men not wanting Tinsley because she has no children and has never been married? As someone who was never previously married or had children, you would not believe how many men told my hubby how lucky he was not to have to deal with an ex, children with the ex, and all the drama that can go along with that. Plenty is how many. Dale is an idiot.
  15. No. When Teddi and her hubby arrived, Eloise, Denise's daughter was running in front of them. Teddi and Edwin came alone. Dorito's kids weren't there, or Teddi's or Kyle's Portia. In fact it looks like from the shots they showed of the kids at the table and lined up for the food that they could have been friends of Denise's older daughters as they all seemed to know each other pretty well. I am not sure how many people that weren't howives/husbands were there. There was a couple behind Teddi and Edwin, don't remember seeing too many other unknowns. If younger kids had come (like the ages of Teddi's) they would have had to be seated at the adult's table with the parents as they would have been way too young to fend for themselves at a teenager's table.
  16. I totally agree. I might add that I find it hard to believe that Denise's friends are unfamiliar with her need to constantly reference the size of Aaron's dick. And also unaware that pretty much any gathering of the howives dissolves into either inappropriate conversation, a fight involving yelling and screaming, or both. So if you don't want your kids exposed to any or all of that, don't bring them. Denise could also have sat the kids at a table far away from the adult table - she has a big yard. It isn't like there were little children that needed tending to. Chances are the teenagers would have preferred to have the privacy to have their own (possibly juicy) conversations, away from their parents' ears.
  17. This episode was either really badly scripted, or really badly edited. Kyle loses her shit over the fact that Dorito didn't make it for the morning boxing exercise. Which Teddi knew was going to happen, and wasn't bothered by. But then Kyle doesn't go to the meditation part of the retreat? Dorito told Teddi that she wasn't going to go, but if Kyle did we never saw it. (Same with Erika not going). So why did Kyle not feel the need to support Teddi for the meditation hour? Why did no one call her on that? It's like this show has too many writers/producers/editors and no one knows what the others are doing. I feel like I am watching a poorly produced high school play.
  18. I think that is the problem with this franchise, certainly more than the other two I watch (NY and OC). Kyle, Denise, Rinna, Garcelle, Erika are all actresses. As was LVP many years ago. I think Teddi had wanted to be an actress, not sure about Dorito. It is so obvious, especially the last few years, that they are all playing parts and ramping up the drama. The show should be called The Sometime Actresses of BH.
  19. Not to mention, when Dorito first joined the show she bragged about the fact that she had three nannies. I don't know how many she has now, but obviously when she goes out, her kids are not being watched by the teenage daughter of a neighbour. I remember for a least the first couple of years on the show, Dorito did not seem all that natural around the kids - like they were props to be handed back to the nanny when the cameras left. My guess is the kids have spent more time with the nannies than Dorito.
  20. Now that I think about it, there are also vineyards in Ontario, Canada around the Niagara region. They are quite successful. I wonder if Chris' hair was either a wig, or a rinse rather than a dye job? There is no indication that he kept the colour/style (I guess we will know next week) for any length of time and I have never seen a pic of him without the grey hair/facial hair. I am not on instagram, but people here do posts pics from there and after the time this episode was filmed, Chris had the grey hair, and regrew the beard/mustache. Zack was trying to get Chris to move to the bale of straw above Amy. Amy said nope, they were fine where they were, with Amy and Chris sitting together on the same bale. Loved it!
  21. One thing I didn't understand about the retreat. Dorito said that she wasn't going to the meditation part because she couldn't meditate for an hour and a half. But then Kyle and Erika didn't go either? But I guess Sutton did because they didn't show her in the suite with the other three? (Maybe they showed her at the meditation, I don't remember). So was a scene cut where Kyle and Erika decided not to go as well?
  22. Though I think the whole disagreement between Kyle and Dorito was producer driven, I am just glad they are for the moment at least not picking on Teddi. I also like Sutton in this epi - toned way down both in her actions and dress. A big improvement on both fronts. Like others, I could not care less about anyone's children. And sorry, I do not think Dorito's son is cute at all - poor kid looks just like his dad. I would have felt worse for Denise regarding all the sex talk at dinner if she hadn't just referenced Aaron's big penis for the gazillionth time. But honestly, I don't believe for a minute that these women cannot get together for a few hours without rehashing some ridiculous she said-she said scenario. It is obviously seen are part of their job, but it is a boring part to me. I couldn't understand why Kyle couldn't understand the meaning of the diamond ice sculpture at Denise's party. I thought it was an obvious nod to the diamonds they hold at the opening of each episode.
  23. I googled and it looks like Oregon does have some wineries. I live in the Okanagan Valley in B.C., and we have hundreds of wineries here. But then our climate in this part of B.C. is more like California - dry, and hot in the summer. Very different than Vancouver and area which is more like Seattle, and Portland, with a lot of rain. There are some wineries in Vancouver area and on Vancouver Island, but the valley where I live has by far the most in B.C. I can't imagine that Matt would want to get into growing grapes to start a winery at this stage of his life. It takes quite a few years as well to get a winery to the stage where they are producing wine to sell. Matt has shown for awhile now that he is ready to take it easier - understandably.
  24. I don't know if I have ever seen someone look so unrecognizable with a different hair colour/style and no facial hair. That said, I 100 percent prefer Chris with the white/grey shaggy hair, and beard/mustache. I have always thought that Chris is a good looking guy. The Chris that showed up at the prom I would never have looked at twice. One thing I love about Chris is how openly affectionate he is with Amy. I laughed when they were getting into position for the family photo, and Amy was sitting between Chris' legs on the same bale of straw. Zach tried to get Chris to move to the higher level above Amy, and Amy cut Zach off saying they were fine just where they were. Good for you, Amy! I have always noticed that Caryn is affectionate with Matt, but he never returns her affection. Obviously it isn't something he is comfortable with, but it makes me almost feel sorry for Caryn. It is hard when you are an openly affectionate person to be with someone who isn't.
  25. I thought that the funds in the trust came from some kind of payout as they said the bio dad died in an accident, So maybe either an insurance policy, or some kind of payout depending on what type of accident he died in - work place, car, etc. I have no problem believing that Phoenix Mary was Mary Day. I thought Phoenix Mary's mug shot looked even more like teenager Mary than the age progression picture. And I think it was a reach for the police to think there was another daughter that was older, and given up for adoption because the mother had fooled around on the father, given that Phoenix Mary had the same bio dad as Mary Day. I also thought it was far fetched to think that the mother and step father would then track down the now adult daughter, and convince her to save her mother - who gave her up for adoption and is a stranger - because mom's husband killed her younger bio sister and they need to produce a living person. I also thought in the interviews with Phoenix Mary, her answers made sense. Also in the picture shown just before P Mary died, she still looked so much like teenage Mary. I think what the female cop at the end said is true - you have to look at the evidence, not make what you think is true fit the "evidence". We have certainly seen that time and time again in these crime shows. As far as the cadaver dogs goes, who knows? I watched a show recently about a missing child. Police were given a tip that the child was buried in the back yard of the family home. They brought in cadaver dogs who found nothing so they did not dig, even though the caller gave a specific part of the yard. Several years later the murderer confessed to get a deal, and led them to the exact spot that the tipster had said, where the body was then recovered. Not the same scenario of course, but they are not infallible.
