The thing is, Denise was just fine in her first season, As was Aaron for the most part. Even Garcelle said in last week's reunion episode that she thought Denise was trying to change her image this season. They were both very odd this year, with their insistence that they were being followed due to Aaron's business, the tension between the two of them (Aaron threatening to crush Denise's hand), and Denise saying in Rome as kind of an aside remark that she was under a lot of pressure. Since she is in ongoing (still) disputes with Charlie over money, I don't necessarily think that Denise is leaving because she wants to. I think she needs the money, but that she burned her bridges with Andy and production. In any case though I won't miss Denise 2.0. I did miss Denise 1.0 this season.

S10.E18: Reunion (Part 2)
UsernameFatigue replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Another episode, another lie from Denise. She said that she sent Brandi on average one text to Brandi's 10. Then when they showed the chain of texts, it was pretty much one to one. Not hard to see - one text in white, one text in blue, one text in white, one text in blue. Not to mention that at the first of the chain is either Denise sending Brandi a picture of her bare breasts, or Brandi sending Denise a picture of her bare breasts. Now personally, I don't do that with my best girlfriends, let alone an acquaintance. It was a also pretty funny when Denise said she sent the cease and desist order so that Brandi would tell the truth. The others chimed in the a cease and desist order is to make someone stop talking. LOL. Someone up thread posted that Denise is not coming back next year? I am fine with that. I actually like how the others get along for the most part. I especially liked this episode with Teddi mentioning that she called Erica, Rinna, Dorit and Kyle when her daughter lost the tip of her finger. I have always liked Teddi, and I love that she has held her own with the howives and become close to the core group. Good for you, Teddi! -
S12.E21: Viva la Dysfunction

The premise of the show is that we are watching women who are rich, and have fabulous lives. They don't need to live in a 272829002 sq ft house, especially when they are living in the city. But they should live in an apartment that doesn't make me think they are living an ordinary life. And I don't for one minute think that any of these women would not live in a more fabulous apartment if they could afford it. Luann was salivating over Tom's penthouse, which I didn't think was all that. I miss Bethenny and her fabulous apartments. Heck, I miss Sonja's rundown townhouse - at least it had character. I would love it if one of them lived in an older apartment. Once in awhile they show one on Million Dollar Listing New York, and they are such a nice change from the white sterile looking glass boxes. -

I was watching this really boring finale (don't care about Lu's cabaret show or Sonja's drag queen party) and was thinking how tame Dorinda has been in the last two episodes. Then the real Dorinda reared her ugly head once again. Her hatred of Tinsley really is over the top, and disturbing. I am glad that she is not back next year, and am also glad that Leah finally clued in to the real Dorinda. I am always amazed at how unaware Lu is that she cannot sing. She can barely talk her way through a song. Mind boggling, really. Dorinda must be regretting spending money renovating her old apartment. I would imagine she will likely have to move back into it, and could use those funds now to live on. I know NY city is expensive, but honestly I am so tired of seeing these women in their shoebox sized apartments - Sonja, Lu, Leah, Dorinda. I miss the days when there were howives with decent sized apartments. Just watching these scenes of the howives in their hovels gives me claustrophobia. -
S10.E17: Reunion Part I

I wish they had filmed the reunion without the glam, that would have been more entertaining. That said though I actually enjoyed it, when I didn't think filming remotely would work for a reunion show. I loved that Kyle brought up that Garcelle did not pay for the pledge that she made. Garcelle has spent the season trying to be relevant by being blunt, whether it was asking Erica about her sex life, asking Sutton where she got her money, or being rude to Kyle for no reason other than to give herself a story line. Ya want blunt Garcelle, ya got blunt. I also loved that they brought up Denise's numerous lies and changes of stories. Interesting that Garcelle said as an aside that she thought Denise was trying to change her reputation this season. Also interesting that Bravo told Denise to take down her "like" of the post saying Rinna should be fired. Though I know some want Rinna fired, I am perfectly happy for her to stay. I also liked the Harry sighting, and his joke that some think that he only shows up to film. Love Harry Hamlin. -
Million Dollar Listing LA - General Discussion

The staging was hideous. There was not one room that looked better after, than it did before. In many cases the room looked the same with uglier furniture. And yes, the circle coffee table was one of the worst pieces of furniture I have ever seen on this show. Also agree, the layered rugs look was bizarre, especially when they were covering up the unique redwood tree flooring. I have no idea why Tracy thought her vision would show "continuity" so that buyers could envision themselves living there. All I saw was a waste of the homeowner's $25,000 to carry out Tracy's myopic "vision". All in all though I have enjoyed this season, and the realtors getting along. As much as I hate the big white boxes with no soul, I would rather see them that fake fighting among the realtors. More of this next season please, but with less white boxes and more historical homes with character.- 2.2k replies

S10.E16: Denise and Desist
UsernameFatigue replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
AFAIK, the producers never made that claim, but Sutton did. In an article I read early on in the season Sutton claimed that she could not be a FT HW because her ex would not allow the kids to be filmed. I thought her excuse was B.S., because Bethenny's kid and Sonja's kid have never been filmed. I think Sutton is enough of a snob that she could not imagine that production would not want her, and her fabulous life so she invented that excuse. I would like to see her back if only for her house, and cats - lol. Denise and Garcelle just do not cut it where house porn is concerned. -

I thought it was so odd when Dorinda first moved into the building that she was filmed going to the local businesses and introducing herself. Now that makes a bit more sense if the news of Dorinda living rent free in her apartment is true. But honestly, every time I saw her in her apartment I wondered why she chose that shoebox over another shoebox? Scenes of Dorinda and John cooking in her kitchen which barely had room for one person, let alone two. Even this episode when they were filming Dorinda lying on her couch with the Christmas tree behind the couch, I kind of felt sorry for her to be living in such an uninspired space. Who would look at where Dorinda lives and want to live there? Her apartment does nothing for me, inside or out. -
S10.E16: Denise and Desist

Thank you for posting what Denise actually claimed was the conversation with Sami. I remembered that she definitely implied that Sami was upset by the threesome comment, contrary to the actual footage we saw. Ironic (as is the case with much that Denise claims) that Denise said "I just didn't want them to hear it from their mom and mom's friends".Then in this episode in a TH for however many millions who watch the show to hear, she says that Aaron would be upset not to be invited to participate in the threesome with Brandi. Because you know, that would affect her daughters much less to hear their mother talk about a threesome involving their mother and step father, than a random comment made by a random howife about no one in particular. I don't know how Denise can be held up as some paragon of virtue where her mothering is concerned, either last year or this. Last year was the "happy ending" conversation, numerous references to Aaron's huge dick, and her daughters complaining and the picture she posted on Instagram of their step father in bed sporting a huge erection. All of this proudly relayed on camera by Denise. I would think her daughters would be mortified by any or all of those situations being broadcast for millions to see. This year we have Denise lying numerous times. Denise often drunk, stoned or both in both scenes with the other women or in her THs. Denise dropping f bombs like most of us use the word "the". Denise proudly telling all that her daughters' step father would be upset if he was not invited to participate in a threesome with their mother and her girlfriend. I guess Denise figures that with Charlie Sheen as their father, she can act however she wants and she will come out looking like the better parent. But unfortunately it is a low bar, and at least on camera she is barely clearing it. -

So Garcelle really waited in front of Denise's hotel for 45 minutes, continually calling Denise with her calls going straight to voice mail? She has a lot more patience than I would have. Then for Denise to tell Garcelle that she didn't want to bring her into her lie about a family emergency? Why not just say I'm not going because Brandy is going to be there? Denise makes things much more complicated than they need to be. Once again, an entire episode of Denise making no sense. I always think it is odd when women (especially women with children) move so quickly with new boyfriends. Garcelle taking about diamonds and marriage weeks into her relationship with Michael? Not a surprise at all that she is no longer with him, but it may have been a surprise to Michael. It took all season but Sutton has finally grown on me. She has come so far from making a rude comment early on about having to put up with Teddi's pregnancy, to flying the ladies by private jet to NY because Teddi is pregnant. Now I don't for a minute think there also wasn't the added perk of bragging about the private jet, but props to her anyway. I would like to see Sutton back just to see what god awful outfit she shows up in. Did anyone else who watches the NY franchise want to see the dress that Sutton wore to Dorito's party paired up with Dorinda's bedazzled afghan pants? Maybe now that Dorinda is unemployed, she can sell some of her garish wardrobe to Sutton. Finally Dorito is living in a house that I like. Not as much as I like Kyle's (outside) or Rinna's, but it is better than anything she has owned (using that term loosely) so far. -
Dorinda Medley: Berkshires Chic

I agree with every word of your post, especially the bolded part. Dorinda's nastiness hasn't only reared its ugly head when she was drunk, certainly not where Tinsley was concerned. And poor John has bared the brunt of Dornida's anger and disdain since Dorinda has been on the show. Awhile ago a poster noted that John is actually much more accomplished than Dorinda, so I read a bio of John. While I have never disliked John as some have, the bio gave me a new appreciation of him. I hope he has found someone new who doesn't treat him like dog waste on the bottom of their shoe. The nastiest I ever remember Dorinda being (and it is a high bar) was a few years ago at a luncheon when she went nuts on Sonja for comparing herself as a divorced person to Dorinda as a widow. Her rage went from 0-100 in seconds, and she wasn't even drinking. In any case Iwon't miss Dorinda, or others tip toeing around her. I can't imagine how she will replace the RH income though - her ticky tacky website won't do it. -
S10.E15: Sex, Lies and Text Messages
UsernameFatigue replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I laughed at your comment about no longer knowing anyone in People magazine, as I find the same thing - ha! I have though been around for pretty much all of Charlie Sheen's extensive career - both in movies and TV. He has been nominated for a couple of dozen industry awards over the years including 4 Emmys as Leading Actor for Two and a Half Men, He's won a half dozen awards including a Golden Globe for Best Actor in Spin City. My hubby is a big Two and a Half Men fan, and still watches the reruns. So in turn, so do I. It is a well written and well acted comedy, and Charlie deserves every one of his nominations/awards. I really don't know if Denise would even be considered a B actor. I have personally only seen her in a Friends episode many years ago and a couple of episodes of TAA1/2M. She has only been in a couple of movies that I have even heard of. She certainly is no where near Charlie in terms of acting accomplishments. Or her famous ex father in law, for that matter. Regardless though I liked Denise last year, and also have given her props for taking in Charlie's kids for a period years ago, and for adopting Eloise. She just seems like a very different person this year. As for Amelia Hamelin, Lisa asked her a question directly about how she felt about what Garcelle said. If one of my mother's coworkers stuck her nose in my business regarding my health, and insulted my mother, I would tell her to f**k off too. It isn't a word I use often or take lightly, but I would have no problem - at any age - using it in that situation. Thank you for the apology though - very much appreciated!! -

Have no idea what the bolded sentence means. I liked Denise last year, don't this year. That is my reality. Teddi many have gotten on the show because of her last name, but she pretty much never mentions her father. Denise mentions Charlie much less this year than last; last year she could not get through an episode without bringing up his name several times. Obviously she has had some success as an actress, but is hardly as well known as her ex. Others have wondered if the change in Denise has to do with issues with Charlie. It could certainly explain why she brings him up less this year than last. Regarding Amelia saying that Garcelle should f**k off with her opinions (which, less face it, were about Ameila as well as her mother) I agree with her 100 percent, It may also be the only time I have liked Amelia. -

Denise is a hypocrite. She professes to worry, ad nauseam, about a comment made at a party regarding a threesome. Yet she says on air that her hubby would have been mad not to be invited to a threesome involving herself and Brandi. So her daughters would be bent out of shape about a random comment, but not be embarrassed that their mother says in a TH for millions to hear that their step father would be upset not to be invited to have sex with their mother and her girlfriend? Add this to Denise "Happy Ending" Richards of last year, and mother Denise who posted a picture on Instragram of her daughters' step father,in bed and sporting an erection. She only took it down after her daughters complained. I liked Denise of last year, but Denise 2.0 is a hypocrite. She also has been mean, and lashed out to others (though usually drunk, like to Teddi at Kyle's party). I find it interesting that Denise has apparently said that Teddi is riding on her father's coat tails. That appears to be what Denise was doing last year with regards to Charlie. She mentioned him so often that I was wondering if it was written into her contract that she had to. Teddi OTOH pretty much never talks about her famous father. Garcelle is lucky that when she brought up whether Lisa's dancing had anything to do with her daughter's anorexia, Rinna didn't ask Garcelle whether anything she did as a mother contributed to her eldest son's drug addiction. Glass houses, and all that. Garcelle has several times asked questions out of the blue (like to Sutton regarding her money) that make her look like she is trying way too hard to be edgy and keep her diamond. I won't miss her at all if she does not return. -

Agree with your comments 100 percent. The whole threesomegate is ridiculous. Denise freaks out about a conversation that her daughters might have heard at her party, to announcing on tv in a TH that her husband would have been upset if she slept with Brandy only because he wasn't invited to join in. I am sure that would not bother her daughters in the least. As has been shown time and time again, Denise is a liar who is not bright enough to keep her stories straight. In addition she appears to want to erase the Denise who proudly insisted that she pay for a happy ending that her husband didn't even want, but since that is who Denise really is, it is not working. The question is why is Denise so desperate to become Denise 2.0? -

Even taking out the mob reference, I don't see having "married to" in the name of a business as a sign that the owner thinks that her brand will empower women. Just the opposite, actually. -

Oh I know it is the name of a movie from the 80s, though I never saw the movie. Maybe if I had, Leah's company name would make more sense? (I think it has been mentioned here as well before, but not positive). For a company that is supposed to represent feminists and empower women, naming a company formed in 2004 after what would have been then a 16 year old movie seems odd to me. I just read a synopsis of the movie, and still don't get it. Maybe her company name has nothing to do with the movie, and in Leah's brain the mob is edgy and empowering to women? No wonder her mother worries about her...... -

Those pants Dorinda was wearing was the ugliest piece of clothing I have ever seen a howife wear on any franchise I watch (NY, BH, OC). And that is a pretty high bar to clear. They made her ass look enormous, and she looked at least 3 sizes bigger than she likely is. They say the camera adds 10 lbs? Grandma's afghan throw - especially in bedazzled form - adds 30 lbs, easily. As others have wondered, how did Leah come up with the name "Married to the Mob"? Such a strange name. A couple of weeks ago she was wearing a peach sweat shirt with mttm on the front. I owned an identical sweat shirt in the 90s but with a different logo. I see nothing original or interesting about her clothing, and the name is a turn off for me. I feel sorry for Leah's mother - Leah must be exhausting to have as a daughter. Poor Bunny will have by now seen that Leah really is out of control when she drinks. I am sure she is mortified for her granddaughter. I am gobsmacked that Dorinda thinks anyone would envy her life. Why would Ramona, or any of the howives for that matter? I certainly don't envy her - I'd take my life over Dorinda's any day of the week. No contest. -

I read an interview with Sutton where she said that she was not offered the chance to be a FT howife because her kids could not be filmed. She never said that they had been filmed and then the footage was scrapped. I thought at the time that she was just making an excuse as to why she was not asked to be a FT HW, and I still think that. No one cares about your kids Sutton, or anyone else's for that matter. Kids are the last reason I watch the show. If she was considered interesting enough, she would have been asked. OTOH, I don't know why Garcelle is a FT HW as she adds little to the show. I would not care if either did not return next year. -
S12.E18: Hitting All the Wrong Cenotes
UsernameFatigue replied to OnceSane's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
I thought it was a set up too. It made me wonder what Hannah actually does for a living, and after googling came up empty handed, other than a recent article about Dorinda and Hannah which stated that it is unclear what Hannah does for a living. At 27, someone must be supporting her, so maybe some of Dorinda's stress is that her daughter is not self sufficient as yet. (Assuming Hannah's bio dad also contributes). I am sure if Hannah had any kind of career Dorinda would be shouting it from the rooftops. Dorinda was not only hypocritical, but had no business berating Sonja and Leah for working, when she is the one who came and joined them. In fact they were the first at the table. I agree with others who think Dorinda is mad because she has absolutely nothing going on in her life, unless you count the website where she hawks tacky products. One that she never talks about on camera, since it would not fit her narrative of having a life that others must envy. Regarding swimming in the caves, I did that on a trip to Cancun several years ago. However the one we went to was much easier to access, and much larger than the one the ladies visited. About a week later I read an article about several bodies being found in a cenote near Cancun. They are apparently popular places for those in the drug trade to dump bodies. -

It seems to me that every time the women get together, Denise contradicts what she has said previously. In this episode she said that Brandi is the one who said all the negative things about the women. But as Teddi pointed out, why did Denise not say the night before that it was Brandi who said those things? Instead she just denied saying them herself. Would that not be a normal reaction? Unless of course Denise is lying though her teeth. Which I think she is. There were several times that Teddi called Denise on her BS and inconsistencies, and for that I give Teddi a standing O. I don't think I have ever seen footage of a producer intervening during a shoot? As others have said, we know it happens, but to have it shown? Bravo must really be tired of Denise's antics. As am I. And this is coming from someone who actually liked Denise last season. -
Million Dollar Listing LA - General Discussion

Both the glass floor and the charity angle reminded me of the most expensive house in my city. The owner hosted an event for the animal welfare charity that I volunteer with. It is a modern style house which I hate, but a beautiful setting on a lake with mountain views. The glass floor looks down to the wine cellar. You press a button, and the floor opens up and the enormous wine rack rises to the main floor. We were supposed to be impressed, but I wasn't as I am not a big wine drinker. We did, and do wonder though how the owner can afford such a property with her little interior design business. We think her hubby is a drug dealer - lol. I love how buzz words for these properties change over the years. Kitchens used to be described as a "chef's kitchen"; now they are "entertainer's kitchen". I also thought it was odd when the sitting area for the hubby to wait for his wife to get dressed was described as a private sitting area. As opposed to a public sitting area? My whole house is private, don't know about anyone else's. -

I can barely relate S10 Denise to S9 Denise. It's like she is playing twins over two seasons. Season 9 twin is happy, funny and easy going. Season 10 twin is unhappy, uptight and paranoid. I liked S9 Denise, and can barely recognize her in S10 Denise. I do wonder how much that has to do with Aaron, who also presents very differently this season that he did last. I wonder why Nicolette Sheridan's marriage to Aaron only lasted 6 months? -

That is exactly why I think Denise and Aaron have been so upset about the threesome talk. And Denise talking about "all she is going through" I think is directly related. In addition they both look rough this season, especially Aaron. He looked like hell at Kyle's party. As the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's fire. (My apologies though for the saying, given Denise's loss of a house to fire. But the saying fits.) I did enjoy the episode for the sight seeing, and Dorito's tacky tourist wardrobe. I also loved Kyle saying that Dorito was now going to speak with an Italian accent - lol.
