"Will it be long enough and strong enough?" Then everyone pauses to laugh for five minutes. Rob's in the lead. Yaaaaaaaaay.

How many tokens did Natalie earn? She should have started on the damn snake.
-
Do you think there's an industry based on companies reverse-engineering challenges? Like, maybe people want to get the ball to the hole in the snake's head?
-
Tyson reproduced. Honestly, what the FUCK?!? Big question: does EoE still operate after this?

"Sandra opted out of the game. Denise, I hope you're happy!"

Anyone else recording The Challenge now?

Here's the [AS] schedule for the months to come. I think the only thing that aired last night that's not listed is Smiling Friends. And it looks like we'll be getting more Makasu in our future. "Oh, wow!"
-
Heads up: new episode ("Tigtone and Tigtone's Island") is airing now. April Fool's thing from Adult Swim. Hopefully, it won't be just me and @Sandman87 watching. ETA: Helpy is being abused, as per usual. Poor little bastard.

Adult Swim just reaired the anime . . . and gave us a date for new episodes: May 3! And a trailer set to Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back In Town." Looks like we'll be following up on the events of the second season finale, AND we get Snowball too! ETA: Trailer from YouTube!

Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal - General Discussion
Lantern7 replied to AnimeMania's topic in Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal
All Points Bulletin: I think this year's April Fool's thing from Adult Swim is at least one new episode. It's on right now. -
Primal marathon? Originally, it looked like we'd get a follow-up to Gemusetto Machu Picchu. Looking up the Wikipedia for Primal . . . nothing about an episode called "Plague of Madness." Maybe AS had one in the chamber just for tonight? ETA: Here's the show's discussion thread. Looks like big-ass plant-eating dinosaurs going plumb loco. ETA2: Okay . . . so far, we got a new Primal, the Rick and Morty anime, a date for new episodes (May 3), and a new episode of Dream Corp LLC. I mean, if you're a fan of the psychic vampire from What We Do In The Shadows, maybe you'll go for it. ETA3: Tigtone, YOLO: Crystal Fantasy, The Shivering Truth . . . ETA4: At least one new episode of Robot Chicken . . .

I take out DVDs from the library all of the time, but I never get around to watching. At this point, I’d like to thank Warner Bros for collecting Season 3. I’m four episodes in, and I don’t have to return the set for at least two weeks. There was a Jim Harper? The Bowhunter stuff was pretty funny, though. I’m also liking Halo, and I’m surprised we haven’t gotten her on Black Lightning yet, given her canon Outsiders connection. Maybe YJ got Halo and Brion, while Black Lightning got Looker? 🤷♂️

TDS 3.0 Season Five Talk
Lantern7 replied to scarynikki12's topic in The Daily Show With Trevor Noah (2015-2022)
I missed the first “social distance” episode. Did Trevor bring up Italian officials cussing out people ignoring warnings? If not, that might come up tonight. I saw an “ad,” and I immediately thought of John Oliver covering that is his latest episode. Check out this clip around 1:46. Those people are through fucking around. -
Dang! Slow again!! Seriously, though, let’s say JL had been delayed while Snyder took care of family business. Would it have been better than what we wound up getting?
-
Reminder: We are approaching April 1, which is when Adult Swim pulls some April Fools hijinx. Granted, they might skip doing anything this year since . . . everything. I’ll still DVR stuff on Tuesday night and see what happens.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - General Discussion
Lantern7 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Anyone else keeping up? The latest episode was the game changer: Bucciarati escorts Trish to her father, with the notion of exposing him. It turns out he shares Giorno's disdain for the drug trade, since his father was brutally assaulted after witnessing a deal. Naturally, things go horrifically wrong, and Bucciarati winds up assaulting a future (or past) version of himself because of the enemy Stand: King Crimson . . . which is a step down from Killer Queen in terms of appearance. Oh, and Trish winds up getting snatched in an eyeblink, leaving behind a hand and a bit of arm. I'm thinking Araki decided to lean hard into "another Kira." Oh, and Bucciarati uses a zipper to reattach Trish's hand, so there's that. I'm not sure when we get "Requiem for a Traitor." Here's a take of "Fighting Gold," with the lyrics matching the images. -
S07.E06: US Government Response to Coronavirus
Lantern7 replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Last Week Tonight
In case you didn't know, there was a new episode tonight. Naturally, most of it centered on Coronavirus . . . or at least up until Saturday, which is when John filmed the episode. He's doing it from his home. He has a white void in his house because of course he'd have a white void in his house. Basically, you had great insight from John, the general ineptitude of the president, and right-wing zealots (e.g., Glenn Beck, Dan Patrick) going more bugfuck than usual. And then John showed a public television art auction from 1993 that featured obvious humanoid rat erotica. Not that overt, but you wind up laughing from the sheer absurdity of it. And isn't that what we need right now? John has no clue when things will go back to normal. Who wants to bet that he and Samantha Bee trade locations for a week, and he does thirty minutes in the woods? -
Quick question, apologies if this is considered off-topic: given that the nation is more or less locked down, would it be seen as “appropriate” for CBS to air the current season? The best comparison I can think of is if you went somewhere going through a famine, and you started broadcasting programs from the Food Network. FTR, I’d like to see TAR32. I’m just giving CBS an excuse to hold it from us. 🤷♂️

Rick and Morty get their Lone Wolf and Cub on . . .

For any Mets fans reading this: MLB Network is airing Games 5-6 of the NLCS right now.

My Hero Academia - General Discussion
Lantern7 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in My Hero Academia
Bumping up again. I'm just seeing if anyone else is watching. Judging by the credits, we're approaching a school festival and a Jiro plot (she's the one with the earbuds coming out of her earlobes). First, though, we get the washouts from the License Exam (including Todoroki and Bakugo) dealing with headstrong kids, and Aoyama revealing to Midoriya that he also has a Quirk incompatible with his body . . . . but since Aoyama is the effete French boy, his initial efforts basically freak Midoriya the hell out. Leaving behind a message spelled out in cheese? You know a situation is messed up when the thought of Aoyama being a serial killer is the best case scenario. -
I haven't been looking. I'm thinking the most I could hope for right now would be an online relationship until things "get better."

Maybe if you give him a thick goatee and an eyepatch? Seriously, Michele-with-one-L and Nick look shook to their cores.
