A lot of people dislike this book but I thought it was silly fun. It’s lighter than Ove and certainly Beartown. The further into it you read the less annoying the characters become. It all makes sense in the end.

I enjoyed this book but I really had a problem with the ending. I just reread To Kill a Mockingbird for book club. Despite some cringy moments it is still a marvelous book.

There’s a commercial for some financial planning company that has a young couple pondering whether or not they have enough money for a vacation. They think about a safari, among other things. Then their imaginations take off and they wonder if they have enough to buy a horse ranch in Montana. If they have to wonder about a vacation? No, no they don’t. Pretty clear.
