  1. I already had a problem seeing how Hart’s ability fit into this universe and now a shape shifter? They seem too magical. I admit I’ve only read the original 3 books (decades ago) so I don’t recall anyone that could do such things.
  2. Plus I’m sure he’s kind of busy wrapping things up and putting whatever safeguards he can in place. No time for PR appearances, Sara. That’s why he skipped out on Paris.
  3. Whoopi wasn’t listening to Ana’s point. Yes, most people don’t need to panic yet, but there are plenty of folks who do need to scramble to secure their safety now, not the least of whom are undocumented people. Also, for example, federal employees who are likely to be fired certainly cannot sit back and enjoy the holidays while their status is imperiled. 1/21 is too late for many people to start thinking about what they’ll do next.
  4. That was depressing. I haven’t read the book. Was this the last episode of the season? What a sad way to end if so.
  5. I have no idea what’s happening in this show. Who is Theo?
  6. I was thinking, wait a minute, didn’t Carole Kane just die? Oh, that was Terri Garr. Love both.
  7. Im ok with it. Going into the final episode with 6 people always feels rushed and drawn out at the same time. I think splitting it will be better.
  8. I love the long version with Donna Pescow flirting with him.
  9. I noticed on Thursday that Whoopi was wearing that gray scarf again which made me realize we haven’t seen any of her ugly Christmas sweaters this year.
  10. All very good points, Gemma. I do think Whoopi enjoys being on the show regardless of how much she complains, however she’s not willing to go the extra mile with podcasts or selling skin cream or whatever. She enjoys chatting with guests, especially if it’s someone she’s worked with or known for a while, and I think that’s why ABC still wants her there and is willing to put up with her schtick - guests want to see/meet the great WG.
  11. Omigosh, epi 4 was sad. Tragedies abound.
  12. I burst out laughing at Claire’s and John’s expressions the morning after. Awkward! I feel whiplash at how fast the show is racing through the book, but on the other hand no one believed Jamie was dead so why carry on the farce? Speaking of farce I hope the Roger in the past storyline is wrapped up soon because it’s getting repetitive and boring.
  13. I got so disgusted with everyone about their inane comments regarding health insurance I decided to go bake cookies instead. None of them has a clue. At least Whoopi wasn’t there to further muddle the conversation.
  14. I don’t know if Andy is a genius or a loose cannon.
  15. Not so smug now, eh, Sue?
  16. I hate smug Sue.
  17. I got the feeling weeks ago that Andy is going to slime his way to the end.
  18. Any guess which of the 4 women is going to flip back to the boys first?
  19. Charlamagne sure called them out! I think he was a bit harsh but that was a good conversation. He makes a lot of sense.
  20. I thought last week Tita should run away with the nice doctor. He treats her more respectfully than Pedro. That turkey mole looked delicious. Max is continuing to switch the show to dubbed dialog in the middle of the episode, just for a scene or two, then it changes back to Spanish. This has happened for 3 episodes now.
  21. And some things never change. Sweet lady, but contributed about as much as the potted palm at the edge of the stage.
  22. Aww, that’s too bad. I hope she has more success this round. It’s not an easy process.
  23. The singer was Sinead O’Connor, wasn’t she? Yeah, I dislike her take on the song. Jenny saying “yeah, no, maybe later” was a surprise but makes sense with so little time to cover a bloated book. There are already too many superfluous characters.
  24. The actor has a lot of charisma. Loved that show! Speaking of charisma, it was awesome to see Dougal again. Poor Roger standing there watching Dougal and Geillis flirt. Eww, ick. And Buck sitting there oblivious.
  25. Remember there was a settlement deal in place, which was what 99.9% (my number, not an actual statistic) of these cases would result in, but trump lackeys scuttled that and forced a trial, only to stick it to his father. Where’s the justice in that? Hunter was all set to accept the agreed upon consequences in the settlement.
