I wonder about her job also. She doesn’t have a degree does she?

It would be more realistic that he would be interested in her if she struggled with 40 or 50 extra lbs but like you said she is morbidly obese, that is a type for some men and there was no indication that is what he found attractive. And why do so many shows make it about not having kids is the be and all end all to everything? Shows like Chicago Med will show people about to die but only care about their unborn child. Not their husbands or families etc.....people going crazy because they can’t have kids. Kidnapping someone else’s (Lifetime movies) I’m 47 and don’t have kids and I’m not beside myself about it. I have my nephew that I love. I guess some people judge that.

I mean, would Phillip really be attracted to Kate? And if she maintained that weight into her 60’s (I’m assuming that was their ages in the flash forward with Jack as an adult) I would think she would be a severe diabetic on dialysis and/or heart issues. I know it’s not just about the way Kate looks but her personality. Maybe she became a much happier person with Phillip but people usually don’t change.

I don’t like cliche kissing scenes (seems to happen on tv more) where the woman jumps up and wraps her legs around the guy. Done too much and unoriginal. I wish we can have more scenes like in Rocky. The fall to the ground kiss. More romantic.

It’s on HBO so I watched it. Am I the only one who was not that impressed? The musical numbers were decent but things just fell short to me especially the ending. The original ending makes me cry every time. The pacing was so much better. Natalie Wood’s anger was so much more emotional. The way each person walked away at the end. Perfectly directed. This just didn’t have the same impact.

I don’t think it’s old so much as I wonder how attracted he really is to Kimberly? If she was a 50 something year old woman who looked like JLo I’m sure he wouldn’t hesitate to sleep with her the first night. I just wonder how real some of this is. I mean most are wearing false eyelashes all day and night. Like Ximena after and all nighter had perfect eye makeup.

Could she be hired by the show? I believe maybe half of it is real. In this case they couldn’t find the real woman in the pics so they found a pretty actress to play her.

For me it’s when people know there is a killer on the lose or a supernatural creature or monster yet they go investigate by themselves without any realistic fear that they might be the next victim.

Does she pay for all of it or does the show? Mahogany will eventually show up and be just like her pics. Isn’t that how it usually happens?

I watched it. At first I didn’t like it at all. It got better as it went on but I still can’t say I liked it. I wasn’t bored at least. I thought Nicole had moments were she captured Lucy. Epecially her voice in the character of Lucy. Otherwise I could still hear Nicole in there with certain words. Javier doesn’t resemble or sound like Desi at all and is too old to play him (as is Nicole). His acting was good but he just wasn’t Desi to me. JK Simmons was JK Simmons. Always amusing but not really Fred. I thought the actress that played Vivian looked very similar to her and was decent. Overall it kept my interest but I think it could have been better. I didn’t like the flashbacks to when they first met. The dialogue seemed forced. I also didn’t like how they threw in the grapes scene. Just didn’t work with the timeline.

But was it mentioned she was non binary? She looks like a woman so Amelia probably looks at her like she is a woman. Unless I missed something.

So now Amelia is interested in a woman? Or is she not a woman since the actress is a they? I’m open minded but I feel like it’s forced for some political agenda. Did Amelia ever have an interest in anyone other than men before? It’s really not as common as this show makes it. Just like with Teddy, we find out she had a relationship with a woman. And several other story lines where people just switch it up. Jo’s reference of the Partridge Family was odd. Maybe 15, 20 years ago it would still be nostalgic but it seems like most of the old shows are almost forgotten with the thousands of options we have now.

Is it just me or does the new detective resemble a young John Travolta with a little Jeremy Sisto mixed in?

In what conversation does someone just say “I’m not sleeping with you”. Isn’t that a bit presumptuous? Who even says that after a few minutes of getting reacquainted. Are we supposed to believe Meredith gets all these men because she is so hot (I don’t think she is but they seem to want us to to think so) or because of who she is. I thought she seemed more suited with Peter Gallagher.

Xanadu is from 1980. But I’m anal about dates lol. I’m going to be singing that song all night now. I assume Carmel’s resembling the shooter was Masha’s drugs kicking in.

It’s around 1985 since Julia’s grave showed she was born in 1977 and they seem to be around 8 years old? I don’t understand why we get these flashbacks of VCR’s and Billy hooking them up when they can cover more interesting things like the kids being born and as teens, how she adopted Baz, and how they got the house.

She is Vincent D’Onofrio’s daughter and is married to Sean Penn. I am also sick of her bad ass braless act. I hoping something connects with present day. Maybe show how they got the house or how Julia turned on the family. The other kids being born. I would find that more interesting.

I think that was a first for me watching someone take a dump in a movie or tv show lol. Obviously Quinn will be searched for. Legally he would have to be returned home if found. How much money did she give Belinda? I don’t think Kai’s name would be mentioned when asked what his name was. I would think that would have been confidential Paula was the worst. And was that family that bad? I didn’t think so. Quinn was a naive kid. The daughter showed some emotion at the end and the parents meant well.

Maybe a few years older. My babysitter was 5 years older than me and now 40 years later we are friends. I can’t be the only one that finds Pamela’s acting a little over the top? Not familiar with the actress but the way she is playing the character doesn’t come off as natural.

Didn’t it show Julia’s grave last week and it said born 1977? I’m assuming the flashbacks are around 1985 at this point? I never thought of Pope as evil. Crazy yes due to his mental illness and Smurf controlling him. He has shown to have remorse and be tormented. He also has shown compassion, for example with his niece. You can’t help but feel sorry for him at some point. Interesting character.

And she is gorgeous also. Which also might have something to do with it. I don’t mind the flashbacks since they are homage to the 70’s and 80’s but I hope more is explained to what goes down in present day. Maybe show Pope and Julia as teens also?

I liked it. And watched also because of Mike White. I loved Enlightened. He also wrote a few episodes of the great show Freaks and Geeks. Also wrote and was in a great yet disturbing movie called Chuck and Buck. If you haven’t heard of it please check it out.

The thing is, Stephen Dorff is a good actor. He was great in True Detective. He just hasn’t made some of the best choices. He was a great looking guy. Still is to a degree. Most people over a certain age know who he is but don’t realize he has done some good things sporadically or only remember him from Blade. That being said. I think this might be a publicity stunt.

I’m guessing nobody watched this. Highly recommended. Great acting by everyone.
