Yes it’s nice when actors get a chance to show their range. Or finally get a legit acting job. Like Stephen Dorff in True Detective. HBO should keep up the good casting. This show is very well done.
-
I feel like they have to add that interaction just to keep it PC. Generally speaking, you can’t have a show these days without a gay character, a bad cop, illegal immigrants, and/or racists. Add in the bad priest to criticize religion (I’m not remotely religious but it always feels heavy handed). I wouldn’t care about any of this if it didn’t feel like an agenda. That being said, I do like this show. I am hoping it isn’t the young cop or Guy Pearce.
-
A recent movie I found on Amazon Prime with Stephen Dorff. It’s was very good. Anyone familiar with it?
-
Could that be any more heavy handed? I get what they are trying to do but bring it down a notch.
-
Rachel is answering how she is instructed to by the producers. She showed up on ATFR because it’s in her contract. I think what they did to her was terrible.
-
The franchise probably knew about the picture and used it to talk about race. I don’t feel there is anything natural about this show anymore.
-
Because it’s probably scripted. I feel asleep the last 10 minutes so I just watched the rest now. It was ridiculous in my opinion. Matt was just reciting the same thing over and over again “put in the work”. “The work you need to do”. She didn’t shed one tear over their “breakup” just fake sniffles. The whole thing was embarrassing in my opinion. She wore a dress, she didn’t commit a hate crime. They all need to get over themselves and their self righteousness.
-
But if your not thinking or knowing about the reason behind it I don’t think it’s racist. Would my friend be considered racist now for dressing like Scarlet Ohare 25 years ago?
-
Is Rachael really considered racist because she dressed in an Antebellum costume? My friend dressed up as Scarlett O’Hara in the 90’s in HS. Would that be considered racist then? Would it now?

The fantasy dates are always sleazy to me. I’m no prude but how can you sleep with a guy who you know is most likely sleeping with 2 others woman the same week and might propose to one of them? Then again who knows if any of it is real or mostly scripted. That’s why I can’t get mad at Matt for his actions with Bri. If it’s real, it was her choice to get with him and Matt has to do what the producers tell him to do. If it’s all scripted it’s then it’s doesn’t matter. To me it all seems scripted because each date is similar. They all sit down with food and drinks but nothing is eaten. They profess their love to someone they barely know and go back to the suite and close the door. He has only professed he is falling in love with Rachel but he could have to Michelle as well but not shown. I only know 2 people that watch the Bachelor and I can’t discuss it will then because they think it’s completely real. If I say I feel something is scripted or fake to create drama they stare at me like I’m crazy.

S03.E11: Panic Attacks, Hardware Store & Big Mouth Billy Bass
Laurie4H replied to Pallas's topic in The Conners
Panic attacks are scary I’ve had them and know many who have Does anyone else find Ben attractive? He was a teen actor who I used to think was cute and I think he aged pretty well. -
Do all the of the families have to quarantine before the hometown dates? I can’t really get angry at how Matt picks up the rose to reject because who knows if it’s producer choreographed. I feel like it’s more and more scripted each time I watch (I don’t watch every season) like how he says he plans the yoga date. Right.

Random thought but I hate when women jump up to hug and wrap their legs around the man. It’s so cliche. Katie did it twice. It always seems like the older contestants are let go. Katie is 29 which is very young but it seems like 23 year olds are the norm. So we are supposed to believe that someone that looks like Heather, or anyone for that matter, has to drive onto a set to meet Matt because he is such a catch. There is nobody else out there for her? It’s so ridiculous yet many people believe it. I think some viewers are that gullible. I’m speaking about people I know.
-
Katie is the only one that didn’t say “like” once and he gets rid of her.
-
I doubt Matt invited the blue team back. It’s producer manipulation. And the excitement to go back was so over the top. As is there screaming of excitement for a bowling date. Do people actually believe the Heather thing is real? I’m sure they paid her.

In the last 3 years of his life Legarski became a kidnapper, sex trafficker, and murderer? He must be faking his complete innocence because nobody just becomes a sociopath. Unless the brain damage miraculously altered him into a decent person.
-
My friend keeps texting me during this. “Matt handles things very well”. “Kit is very mature for her age” “I felt so bad for Brittany and Ryan” “I’m so glad Matt called MJ and Josenia together”. Am I cynical or is she gullible to think this is real?
-
So I checked the Comcast guide and this and next week show reruns. This weeks shows part 1 of the season premier and next week shows part 2.
-
So how would Anna hear rumors about Brittany. The show hadn’t aired yet so it not like people saw her and started texting Anna . Did she text a pics to her friends and ask if anyone knew her? Did they have mutual FB friends? Did she make it up? Did the producers script it? Funny how Chris Harrison said that they had such a huge response to him being the Bachelor that they had to bring in 5 more girls. The things that they try to pass off as true and how many people actually believe it is interesting.
-
So she knows dirt on Brittany because they are both from Chicago? Chicago is a huge city not some small town where you know them just because they are from the same area.
-
Random thoughts. Do they bleach all their teeth or do they get veneers? Because all of their teeth are perfect and shiny. Why do so many past and present huff and puff to show how nervous they are. Sarah did it several times when talking to Matt and he did it during the rose ceremony.
-
There wasn’t one tear when Sara was crying in the car. She said he saw her heart and that’s why he let her go? So people really say things like that? And why leave her family for this show if her dad only had weeks to live? It’s funny how the one girl said Sara interrupting the group date meant others might not get a rose and it was “terrifying”. That’s terrifying?
-
That’s what I said. The date was ridiculous also. And these women screaming and swooning. Getting so excited over fireworks like they never experienced them before. Are they coached to act like this. I would think so. I remember another insufferable queen or princess from years ago. I can’t remember which season but she played with her hair the same way Victoria does. Yes I remember random things. Anyone remember?
-
That makes sense but in the context of the show it sounds stupid. Why would you have to leave your job and go on a show to find love competing with 25 other women? Because it’s not about finding love. It’s about exposure and money.
-
So Sarah said her dad was supportive of her leaving to find love? So she can’t find it locally? And she is a private person and can’t open up to Matt but can all of a sudden open up to him while millions of people watch? If you think about....it’s really makes no sense.
