Has anyone watched this? It’s getting great reviews but several people I know who have watched it said it’s terrible and some said it’s pornographic. When I was at the movie theatre yesterday the posters for it were huge. Twice as large as any other movie advertisement. This paired with the universal praise makes me think this is a huge campaign for an Oscar win. And of course Emma Stone winning best actress because of she’s “fearless”.

It’s so pathetic considering they barely know or spend that much time together. Leslie the next Bachelorette with the better hair and botox.

Why do they get mad at things the producers make happen? She had to meet his family as part of the show.

Am I the only one who just laughs at the audiences over the top reaction?

Has anyone watched this? On Hulu. Very entertaining.

You can develop feeling in a month in a normal situation if you are spending a lot of time alone with the person. But these situations most only get one date and a few group dates where they hardly get one one time with him.

Am I cynical or my friends to gullible? We had a group text going back and forth and they texted how they were crying. They love Joan, they love Faith. Gerry is just a kind man. And I was cringing and laughing the whole time. I was actually getting angry at my friends for how serious they take this. Who know what is true and what is staged? How do you fall in love on TV after one date? Also they talk about women over 60 being invisible. I think more so 45 to 55 are the most invisible. We have shows for 20 and 30 something. Shows for the golden age. I’m 49. What about the Gen X generation?

I hate how they call this dating and breaking up. Joan went on one date with him. They weren’t dating and didn’t break up. That’s like going on a date with a guy you meet online or through a friend and then decided it wasn’t going to work out. That is not dating or a breakup.

Ok my friend tells me she is crying through all of it. I’m laughing. It’s so phony. His fake tears. The reactions.

This is the movie Elvis and Me from the 80’s. This was a 2 part movie so more time to tell the story but I feel this one had way more emotion. When he leaves to go back to America Priscilla is completely hard broken. It’s an emotional scene which I don’t think really happened like that according to pics from then but it works in this movie. Also it shows more of how the parents felt.

This wasn’t very good in my opinion. People I spoke to in the theatre had the same opinion. It didn’t delve into much. There is a tv movie from 1988 that was much better.

She gets a rose for missing her daughters wedding? That is not admirable. And her reason was that her daughter said “I have my man now go find yours”. So she goes on show competing with 25 other women for 1 man instead of a local meetup group or online app? Does anyone really believe that?

I have high hopes for this. It’s a Christmas release also so probably an Oscar contender.

I wasn’t bored but can’t say I liked it. The man’s actions were crazy but the woman didn’t have any redeeming qualities. The sex scenes were not erotic. Dirty bathroom and the other thing I won’t say since it’s probably spoilers was gross.

Does anyone else remember this movie? Very sweet and emotional. I don’t think anyone could not cry at the ending.

Anyone watch this? On Netflix. I thought it was good.

So many great lines and moments During Denise’s driving lesson when she keeps checking if it’s clear and then Chainsaw checks a few times also. Chainsaws little dance when Shoop is granted Tenor. Shoop ”They’re as smart as you and me” Gills “You and I” Shoop ”All of us” Chainsaw “You passed and I failed how can you do this to me you asshole” Dave “I’ll take it again I know I can fail” Shoop “That guy who spent 6 weeks in the bathroom got a 91”

I revisited this movie lately and I think it is one of the most overlooked comedy of the 80’s. Anyone else agree? None of the kids are really mean spirited in it. They are portrayed as smart. Just not school motivated or book smart. The chemistry of the actors is also great.

I thought this was a great movie and what a good actor Michael Peña is.

Good finale but what is with the lack of Stephen Dorff? He is so hot. I wanted more of him.

Stephen Dorff still sexy af imo. Hope he gets more screen time. This show is a mix of hilarious and a bit over the top but I enjoy it. to me the funniest line was Jesse response “Even that bitch” to Kelvin asking if they had to include Judy.

Is Meisha too botoxed for 43? Usually when faces have the cheekbone fillers and lip fillers I think they look 60 trying to look 30. Hee daughters are beautiful. And Nicola is only 46? Maybe I’m projecting but guys I know in their 40’s and 50’s seem more youthful. I just don’t know what is real and what is a mix of people wanting their 15 min of fame. Wanting to come to America. Or just finding gullible people. Is Gino just not into Jasmine or is it maybe that there are cameras filming them?

A person faking an illness just go after a doctor for the reasons the show is conveying just doesn’t happen. If it did it would be all over the news. I just think this show gets too heavy handed. Owens speech to me was the writers trying to show how progessive they are. There are more subtle ways of doing it. The patient with the bullets in him was an interesting plot but coupled with everyone pooring their hearts out to the dr’s and Owen PSA…..I just say tone it down.
