I'll get to snark on fashion with y'all after all (if anyone else is here) -- my work was closed today due to flooding concerns from remnants from Auntie Flo. We're way inland, so we didn't get anywhere near the rain they did closer to the coast, but our rivers are overflowing a little bit.

I also had 2/5 for this week.

Is it just me, or has it seemed like there have been fewer TS so far this season? Or maybe it's just fewer TS that I've been able to answer. Tonight I randomly guessed train station -- no idea why I even thought of that. I know nothing of German. And I also got the missed DD of LBJ. But I was clueless (again) for FJ, as usual. It all made perfect sense when Alex told us the answer, though. I had no idea there was still a print version of TV Guide! I felt bad for Riley.

Eh, I’ve known plenty of tomboys (myself included) who dressed up for dances, but wouldn’t have been caught dead in a dress otherwise. Not the perfume part, though, as perfumes tend to give me a headache.

I could not get past "Bedtime For Bonzo", so was clueless for FJ. And for some reason, I can't stop laughing about it! Agreed with all y'all above that Kennedy did not need a BMS. Yeah, a bunch of them were politicians, but only one was President. Also glad they corrected themselves on the they're/their response. That was my first thought, too. Not sure I would have come up with whose/who's. I was sad that Dr. Johnny Fever ("Boooger!") wasn't a clue/response in the fever category. I really hoped there'd be a clue about him. The only TS/missed DD I wrote down were gold and Prozac. I guess if none of them had heard of "Prozac Nation", they probably wouldn't have known about Johnny Fever, either, so perhaps it's just as well he wasn't a clue. :)

Lori lost me completely with her Dracula accent, which Trebek then had to imitate, of course. Ugh. Stop with the accents already! So, hooray for Kyle! FJ was not exactly an instaget for me -- it was sort of a wild-ass guess, but I did guess it quickly, and misspelled it the same way all the contestants did. The only TS I wrote down were artificial insemination, respite, and Hamilton.

I still can't watch the images from that day.

Colbert's looks a little scraggly and thin. His definitely needs to go. Trebek's is okay.

Seaweed is a giant version of algae. But not all algae live underwater. Lori is annoying -- sorry to see Rick lose. She reminds me a bit of Catherine O'Hara, if Catherine O'Hara were annoying, which she is not. I love her in the Christopher Guest films. I got Greensboro, and should have gotten Bauhaus -- I could easily come up with the "haus" part, but the "Bau" part just would not come to my brain. Boo, hiss.
