  1. I am not sure if this show still interests me. Who is Reinhart? A professor who teaches behavior science and an ex-CIA? But then why does he have Sherlock Holmes-like deduction ability? First episode made sense. The killer modeled the killings after Reinhart's book. But now he just becomes all-knowledgeable plus he has access to secret information that the police does not have. If I want to watch Elementary, it premieres next week.
  2. I know that that is the joke, but why does Sally get emotional when her old partner making out in the world? Normal people would leverage that situation for her own benefits. She has a leg up on the new show which is a good stepping stone for an struggling actress. All she needs to do is just passing the audition.
  3. Flying fighter jets is very physically demanding and only selected few are able to do that. Now imagine doing that in space where there is no drag and no gravity with much more powerful engine, in a racing spacecraft no less. Then imagine doing all of that as an older woman with no military or piloting training whatsoever. I was cringing during the space fight scene and looking at how Chrisjen enduring it.
  4. The lobster dinner skit is the highlight of the episode. Makes zero sense, but definitely hilarious. As good as Mrs. Gomez the Nickelback fan with Sterling K. Brown. However, I have to object with the negativity of eating lobster in a diner. Here in Atlantic Canada, that is how we get our lobster fix cheaply, get the lobster dinner in a diner. :-)
  5. "These are all tools supplied to prevent our country from turning into a Monarchy." What is inherently wrong with Monarchy? Canada, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands are all Monarchies. Those countries seem to be stable, democratic and prosperous with good standard of living.
  6. As well, has the Army relaxed the grooming standards for non-SOCOM soldiers?
  7. So in the year 2187 clothing and houses are not that much different with now? As well, a person from that time is just comfortable with our weapons and vehicles? Imagine the difference between 1848 and now. I am not sure we can be just as comfortable handling muskets and riding horses...
  8. Let us just say that the actor who plays Obama can not do Obama. Jay Pharoah is much better.
  9. How did NYPD officers arrest someone in Bayonne, NJ particularly when they were off-duty?
  10. Ah, ADA as in the Americans with Disabilities Act. I thought it was Assistant District Attorney and I was wondering which one that was. Gotcha.
  11. New Era must have been very proud its product went across galaxies and ended up worn in Kandor.
  12. I wanted to say that you were wrong as all models and variants of Sikorsky S-70 / UH-60 did not have the capability to retract their landing gears in. But then I saw the drawings of what the stealth MH-60 might be. And you were right. They looked like those allegedly stealth helicopters.
  13. What kind of helicopters did the team ride back from the mission? They did not look like any helicopter in current SOCOM inventory.
  14. Not only that, he is an MCPO, the highest enlisted rank in the Navy. He should have had much more wisdom than that. Hayes also wears Eagles t-shirt from time to time. So not only that the show had to deal with the NHL but the NFL too? Maybe there was no wi-fi outside? For me, why did a top-tier SOCOM unit ride into mission using civilian helicopter?
  15. I hate with the fire of a thousand red suns the trope of causal loop. Hate it in the Terminator franchise, hate it here. It is illogical and it makes no sense at all.
  16. Nyambi Nyambi is a natural-born American. I would say that his real accent is the American accent.
  17. Novakovic is not British though, she is Australian.
  18. I think I have just enough of the trope of a hot female law enforcement paired with a civilian man with a special ability. The Mentalist, Castle, Perception and just recently, Deception. The difference s that Reinhart is a deeper character. Married gay man and ex-CIA. Good that he did not hide that fact. I will give this show a chance. On the story, does Reinhart really commute from Philadelphia to New York on smaller motorcycle? That is a 100-mile commute.
  19. While I get the idea of the episode, it left me confused. What was happening? I mean that in the sense of what the mechanism is that consuming human organ can reverse the aging process. I wished that someone explained or handwaived it as it is not how it works IRL. And yes it also confused me that Juliet who was supposed to be a devout Catholic crossed herself to the right first, the way Eastern Orthodox did.
  20. One day my city plunged to very cold temperature, -35C/-31F. As I always did, I walked to the office. Being it was very cold I bundled myself up, with parka with the hood up and balaclava inside. So the only exposed part of my body are my eyes, which I then put sunglasses on. On that walk, I passed a number of people, some I knew well, some just acquaintances. Yet, every single one of them greeted me by name. TL/DR, it is always suspension of disbelief in super hero stories that people close to them are unable to identify them just with minimal disguise.
  21. I am far away from being a Nickelback fan - or even liking them on regular basis - and the sketch makes zero sense at all, but I laugh like crazy with Mrs. Gomez Last Words.
  22. That is not bone-in ribeye. That is obviously t-bone steak.
