The problem is that they seem to think they do need a title for it. So they either need to get over that, or they need another title. I'm not partial to the diva belt, but it think they need something.

I can't imagine that anyone is going to be expected to carry their birth certificate to use the bathroom. I joke about needing papers to pee, but I can't envision it actually becoming a thing.

You know, if Ron was still writing this crap, and he saw an Internet comment like this, he'd undoubtedly have someone like Mac or Andre bring Anna a cat and tell her it's to give her something to care for as she heals over losing Duke. Hell he'd probably even name the cat Duke.

I made that exact same point to a guy who kept insisting that men were going to pretend to be trans women to get in there and rape his daughters. I pointed out that the way he wants things, a guy has to go to zero effort to walk into the women's room if he wants to, he just has to say he's a trans man if anyone even questions him. I think a lot of these people forget that trans men even exist. It's all just "men in dresses" to them.

I don't want him to show up because he wants her, but I'm really just hoping for it to be established that he's alive.

If they went there, I'd love to see Liam and Wyatt still consider each other brothers despite DNA.

I have said so many times the past few months, in response to people on Twitter and Facebook, "you've already been in a public bathroom at the same time as a transgender person, probably more than once, and you had no idea, so what's the problem?"

That and "I haven't forgotten about you, motherfucker," are my two favorite recurring bits on TNS.

I so wanted the faceplant. What a let down. And, seriously, have either of them ever run before? Or seen human beings run before? I really want to see a couple things from this point. I want to see Wyatt continue to be gracious and back off, letting Steffy and Liam figure shit out. More importantly, when Liam gets all self-righteous about the underwear sleepover and quickie marriage, I hope Steffy let's his waffling ass have it with both barrels - bring up how fickle he is, how he was, once again, in a self-righteous snit last time she saw him, and that, combined with the messages (including voice mail) that she received from him, she had no reason, at that point, to think he hadn't left her. Yes, she married Wyatt quickly, but she could say that she finally decided to be with someone who wanted her and only her, and not someone who couldn't keep his dick pointing in the same direction for more than 5 minutes at a time. Of course, I also want Wyatt to ask Bill "why isn't my dick good enough to be your surrogate in screwing Steffy? Why does it have to be Liam's?"

I'm glad they brought back the Women's Title, but I also kind of wish they would have kept the Divas belt around as a kind of IC level women's belt. They have a decent number of talented women on the roster now, and it's hard to work in stories for them when there's only the one title. I'm not pushing for them to put a belt on someone like Eva or Lana, but Naomi, Becky, Sasha, Paige, and Nattie (I'm sure I'm forgetting someone) are all viable title contenders. When it comes to the women, they seem to mostly like to write feuds and story lines (outside of the Brie/Lana thing) revolving around the belt or pursuit of a shot at the belt. Put another belt in the mix, and you've got more for the women to do. Also, they really need to do a women's Money in the Bank match. They have enough women to make it interesting now (and still have some possibilities in NXT they could bring up).

A player signed with the Royals (who, unless something has changed, are in the MO Kansas City), and he put out a statement welcoming the player to Kansas.

Didn't Brownback actually make that same mistake recently?

I think that "cha cha cha" was the worst one yet.

You know, I've tried to bring that point up to people, and what I eventually conclude from their responses is that they would prefer that trans people just not use the restroom in public, because they're not comfortable with trans men in the women's room or trans women in the women's room. Of course, none of them will actually admit that they think trans people just shouldn't use public restrooms, but they steadfastly refuse to be comfortable with either option.

Today was so, so good. As someone who's also watched the Jason amnesia story on GH, the two stories could not have been more different in terms of writing. There's some actual fallout starting here. Liam's mad. Wyatt's mad. Liam has been trying to find out his past and wants to know about it. And just hearing his name gave Liam enough information that he started having some flashes of memory. I don't remotely want Liam/Steffy back together or anything (of course, I wasn't waiting with bated breath for Jason and Sam to reunite, either, so that was the same in both stories), but I love that there seems to be some actual fallout here. DB, RS, and SC were all good here. Wyatt's mixture of confusion, anger, and "ewww, my mom's in love with my brother??" was really well done. And RS is so good at playing Quinn's crazy. I hope they continue building from here and we don't just get "OK, now Liam's back with Steffy, Quinn's getting therapy, and everything's done." I want to see Liam's confusion as he regains his memories and deals with the feelings he's had for Quinn and the anger he had for Steffy before he lost his memory. Of course, I reserve the right to throw shit at my TV if Quinn actually talks Wyatt into going along with her plot so he can keep Steffy. Don't go there, show!

This seemed like the best place to put this: If you aren't watching B&B, they have been doing a story that is basically another version of the Liz/Jason/Sam amnesia shit. Except, in this case, Quinn (Rena Sofer, who is excellent at playing the crazy) has been keeping Liam (Scott Clifton) in some remote cabin during his amnesia, after texting his loved ones from his phone that he needs some time away to himself. She started out doing it because she wanted her son, Wyatt, Liam's half brother, to get Steffy, who was with Liam. But, she fell for Liam along the way (yep, Lois and Dillon had sex, people!). Anyway, it all came to a head this week (yesterday and today) when Wyatt came to the cabin and walked in on Quinn and Liam about to have sex. And the fallout so far has been awesome. Wyatt is disgusted and pissed. Liam is getting flashes of memory now that he's heard his name and met his brother. It's just so much better than the lameass "OK, welp, we'll all just go home now, laters!" fallout we got from Jake finding out he was Jason. Wyatt's horrified "my mother's in love with my brother????" face alone was better than anything we got in the fallout on this show. I mean, if you just have to write a woman having a relationship with an amnesiac while lying about who he is, then write that shit. Don't just build it all up and go "eh, it's done now." And, hold onto your hats, Liam actually spent time trying to figure out who he was, asking Quinn a ton of questions about their past (she told him they were a married couple named Adam and Eve), trying to find things online, etc. Who knew an amnesiac could take an interest in his past? Side note: this story also involved the supposed death of Deacon (Sean Kanan) when Quinn shoved him off a cliff to keep him from busting her secret. Another thing B&B will likely get right that GH got wrong - I don't think Deacon is actually dead. So they likely didn't make the "bring back SK's character and off him" move that GH proudly made.

Don't forget Sonny/Carly with the "you killed AJ? That is so hot we need to fuck on this couch that belongs to our son, who is also his son!" sex.

I agree that it wouldn't change the minds of the base that supports someone like Cruz, because they are far more married to their "religious convictions" to be concerned with those results. But elections are typically won or lost on the moderates. They're the voters who need to have this information laid bare, loudly and often. Like ganesh said, the Dems absolutely dropped the ball and let the right control the narrative in 2014, and we're living with the results.

I think that, when she said July, she was well aware that Bryan was likely done, even if it hadn't become "official" yet. So I'm taking her at her word that she planned to go through the summer. The timing of Bryan pulling out of things along with her retirement suddenly being imminent makes me believe that the change was, in fact, due to his health issue. Add in that they really didn't even acknowledge she was retiring on camera, even a little bit (beyond Nikki coming out to applaud her win), and I believe it was a recent change to her plans. Prior to WM, they were building up the feud between her and Lana, and while it did lead to the WM match, the feud itself didn't even get some kind of resolution - Lana wasn't even the one who got pinned.

All anyone has to do is look at the economic policies in Kansas vs. Minnesota and compare the results. I don't get why the Dems aren't regularly doing that. Those two states make it pretty clear what does and does not work.

I'll reserve judgement. It's a new hospital employee. Bonus points if she's not remotely tied to any mob characters (or even, gasp, hates the mob and treats them with disdain).

Aren't they actually working together on another show? I was thinking more in terms of their being open to working together after their split, than any actual love scenes themselves. They seem to genuinely get along and don't have any problems sharing scenes. Plus, I think that, for someone who's been doing this as long as KSt has, if they're genuinely remaining close friends and still enjoy each other's company, I really don't think she'd have a problem doing Johnny/Maxie if it came up. (She might even find it preferable to do it now than when they were a real couple, as a lot of actors don't like to do romantic pairings with their real life partner.) I think the real stumbling block is that BB is not up for a long term run. He's content to visit, stir some things up, and exit to take on other roles.
