CL posted this b-t-s pic from the LoT trailer shoot on her instagram -- this looks like the same Arrow costume that Oliver wore this past season. Yet SA had said that he was done wearing the Arrow suit after this season. So any speculation as to how this fits into the Arrow universe?

Just catching up on these posts... I'm so sick of the double standard when it comes to Felicity - and not just in regards to her crying versus other characters crying. So she had a raw, emotional reaction to the idea of losing Oliver again. It's not like she pushed a button and killed thousands of SC citizens in order to save Oliver. Ray asked her WWOD (What Would Oliver Do?) and she found another way to save him. I don't believe for a second that she would seriously consider saving Oliver over saving the lives of thousands of other people.(*) Her "But Oliver" was a plea to Ray for help -- it was a "but we must save Oliver as well (as the thousands of other people), how can we do it?" plea. Yet, over on The Flash, Barry made a selfish, unilateral decision that risked the lives of billions of people in the world (without their consent) in order to travel back in time to save his mother (even then, he didn't save her, he just talked to her). Yet he's still a hero - where's the Barry bashing?(**) At least Felicity never made the deliberate, consciously selfish decision that Barry made. (* Even if she had considered saving Oliver's life over the lives of thousands of other people for a split second, can we blame her? If you were in the middle of a pandemic, a natural catastrophe or a war, and you had to choose between saving the lives of your family or the lives of thousands of strangers, what would you do?) (** I have not visited The Flash forum lately because, tbqh, I just don't have the time to fully keep up with more than one forum. So I don't know if fans have called out Barry for his decision over there. But I have read some reviews of TF finale and they all viewed Barry's time travel moment as heartbreaking, not selfish.) I'm also sick of the "because comics" argument for GA and BC. It's already been discussed ad nauseam in this forum how Oliver and Laurel aren't anything like their comics counterparts in terms of back stories, jobs, personalities, families, friends, etc., plus the various versions of "comics canon" - so yeah, selective canonization is going on.

I think the EPs left O/N's marriage up in the air at the end of S3 because they haven't finished planning out S4 yet and wanted to leave open the option of keeping Oliver tied to Nyssa by marriage for some plot reason. It could be that they'll decide there is no plot reason and just have a one line reference in 4x01 about the marriage being nullified over the summer. Or they could come up with some convoluted plot reason that Oliver has to stay married to Nyssa, say, maybe to drag him into Malcolm's conflict with Darhk? I dunno.

Summer Glau has come a long way from when she sat on multiple people panels and barely spoke up. She seems quite shy. Good for her for doing a solo panel. She says that her favorite scenes on Arrow were with EBR because she's a "sun-shiny person" and loved her rapport - or lack of rapport - with Isabel!

About the S3 ending, "character-wise", she was disappointed that Nyssa didn't end up as the new Ra's, but "plot-wise", Nyssa has so much to fight for now, so it's great. The day of shooting the Oliver/Nyssa wedding, it was hard because she had to be so angry but there were so many jokes that day. She'd walk up, and SA would start singing "going to the chapel, and we're... going to get married," and then he'd say something about how he'd like his eggs in the morning. Nyssa felt more betrayed by her father choosing Oliver over her, than Sara choosing Oliver over her. Her father's choice was devastating. She understood that Sara's choice had nothing to do with loving Nyssa, but more to do with what the LOA lifestyle was doing to her soul. KL again told the story about when Nyssa was locked in a cage and KC had trouble pronouncing Nanda Parbat correctly (saying Nanda "Poorbutt" instead for about 10 takes), cracking everyone up. She says that they had "Spartacus Bootcamp" for that show, it was really intense, and she had a dislocated shoulder. So she appreciates that they have doubles for some scenes in Arrow. She mentions that James Bamford is always telling them to "do it faster". She thinks that she and KC have a lot of chemistry and that people want to see two women kicking ass together. She thinks that we'll see Nyssa discovering who she is outside the LOA while still fighting for the Ra's title and that Laurel will be pretty key in that development.

That's pretty cool - and imaginative. Some of the posts are pretty funny too... like Felicity's letter to Tatsu thanking her for teaching Oliver how to do laundry.

I just wanted to point out that EBR got a lot of good reviews for her dramatic acting in 3x10 and 3x11 (but everyone is entitled to their own opinion)...

Remember that Oliver also said that when he returned, he was in the mindset of viewing everyone as either a threat or a target, and that Felicity was the first person who he viewed as a 'person' (meaning, not a threat or a target). I agree that he disassociated himself from OQ in order to survive his horrific experiences. So when he returned, he was this detached person who viewed the people that OQ loved as targets (people who could be hurt and had to be protected) and everyone else as threats (people who might hurt him or the targets). He did not love Felicity then so he did not view her as a target, but she was also so obviously harmless that he couldn't view her as a threat either. He just saw her as a person.

As a follow-up to my above post, here are possible biological family members who could cause conflicts with or among TA members in S4... Oliver's son Felicity's father Andy Diggle (could he be alive and evil?) Malcolm Merlyn Quentin Lance Sara Lance (resurrected as slightly evil?) Talia al Ghul (assuming Nyssa becomes part of TA)

We've discussed how the standard romantic beats in the main relationship were originally intended for O & L, but have been switched to O & F. SA's acting has improved from season to season, but even in season 1, his acting ability was underrated (imo) because it was more nuanced... In this scene with Tommy (in 1x03), Oliver is smiling but you can tell it's a fake, almost calculated smile. Look at his eyes - they're distant and detached. You can see suffering in his eyes. Now compare that to this Oliver smile in the same episode when he first meets Felicity. This smile is real, not fake. The eyes are present. Even though he's still reserved, you can tell he's genuinely feeling amusement. SA does a lot of silent, expressive acting with his eyes. That takes talent. (source for gifs)
