Well, if they do limit the SDCC panel to cast members playing costumed superheroes and villains, they'll have more women and minorities this time, thanks to Supergirl and LoT -- and they'll probably pat themselves on the back for it.

Sorry, I can't help with the French questions in the video. But I used the right-click Translate to English option to translate the webpage text (hence, this translation reads awkward in spots)...

‘The DUFF’ Interview with Robbie Amell | EXCLUSIVE BYBRIAN GALLAGHER | June 9th, 2015 http://movieweb.com/duff-movie-interview-robbie-amell/ -
They could've downplayed Kara's similarity to Felicity in terms of look and personality. There's nothing wrong with making Kara slightly awkward or with her secret identity having a ponytail and wearing glasses. Instead, they chose to increase her similarity to Felicity by having her babble and wear a pink, button-front shirt. Felicity's debut on Arrow wearing a pink, button-front shirt is pretty iconic now.

At least CW Arrow is recognizing, via twitter, the nominations of Arrow, SA and EBR for Teen Choice 2015 awards and asking fans to vote for them... https://twitter.com/arrowwriters Nothing from GB, AK, WM or MG - except that MG retweeted a fan tweet about the TCA noms asking him to retweet.

Unfortunately, if the EPs do an episode with the "pretend to be married" trope, it'll probably be with Oliver and Laurel (in a nod to the comics) using the rationale that it will involve infiltrating some dangerous criminal enterprise, thus requiring combat skills.

Every time I feel myself getting cautiously optimistic about S4, I remind myself that last summer, I was hopeful about S3 - and look how that turned out. At this point, the only way for Oliver and Felicity to break up without despair/angst would be if it was a mutual decision due to burned-out passion and deciding they were better off as friends. However, I can't see that happening with these two because of their natural chemistry and everything that's happened and everything that's been said by them over the past two seasons -- but you never know with these EPs. I'm still afraid that the next two or three seasons (trilogy?) will include their break-up for some contrived reason.

I'm with Sunshine and statsgirl. The title makes me cringe - "Super Hero Saturday Night"... I guess this means that only the actors playing costumed superheroes on these shows will attend. (yes, that's sarcasm) I can't help but think that a lot of the marketing is driven by DC Comics, who hopes to sell more superhero comics and comics-related stuff - as well as promote "DC Comics" in connection with upcoming movies and tv shows. I've never read superhero comics, but I've always loved watching superhero movies and tv shows. Now, however, I'm beginning to hate the word "superhero"...

I find it difficult to believe that they always planned to bring back CL after they killed off Sara. CL said at a recent comic con that she didn't know that she was coming back when they killed off Sara. If the EPs knew then, they would've/should've told CL. Otherwise, she would have been free to accept other roles, even a regular cast role in another TV series, thus making herself unavailable for the spinoff. -

I am aware of that narrative as it applies to Bruce Wayne/Batman and Clark Kent/Superman. However, I don't think it applies to anyone on Arrow other than possibly Oliver. I don't think that Laurel & Roy are the "masks" and that BC & Arsenal are their true selves. I think that your second point, though, about the pic showing them in the process of de-masking and goofing off to reveal themselves to a friend is a good one.

In the Behind the Mask thread, I had commented on whether I would think differently about Felicity's new romance in S3 if her love interest had been someone like Eddie played by Rick Cosnett. Much as I love Oliver & Felicity together, I think I would've been more conflicted if I saw her with someone who felt 'right' with her. I know the EPs have said that Ray and Felicity are similar in personality, but I never thought that they looked 'right' together. At first I thought it was because Ray seemed too old for Felicity, but BR (35) is only one year older than SA (34). EBR is 23, although Felicity is supposed to be 25 or 26. But now I think it's because Ray always seemed too glossy and polished, and somewhat insincere. Felicity is so down-to-earth and real. Oliver, despite his billionaire playboy background, is also pretty down-to-earth. If her new romance had been with an actor who also exuded an honest, down-to-earth persona, I think I would've understood Felicity's attraction to him better.

This is great - JB singing "Hopelessly Devoted to You" in the green room, while CH and WH are there (link retweeted by CH)... What happens in the green room

This is kinda ironic, isn't it? Showing a pic of two people in their masked identities while tweeting a message about friends being ones you can truly be yourself with? The masks are masks, they aren't the real persons - but I guess it's consistent with the network's focus on costumed superheroes... https://twitter.com/CW_Arrow https://www.facebook.com/CWArrow CW Arrow also retweeted a fan's choice of pic... https://twitter.com/CW_Arrow

As kismet said, it'll probably be addressed in the Season 3.5 comics... to be released by MG in 2017 (yes, that's sarcasm).

It sounds like he's just trying to drive more traffic to his website and to maintain his site's partnership(?) with the CW. There have been a lot of pieces written in defense of Felicity both here and elsewhere (for example, several fan site pieces, media articles like the above TV Overmind article, Laura Hurley's tumblr writings, etc.). If he really wants to be 'fair and balanced' (the slogan for Fox News, btw), then he should write his own damn piece in defense of every character on Arrow. I think of the old Merlin tv miniseries, where Merlin (played by Sam Neill) turns his back on the evil Queen Mab, telling her that everyone will forget about her and, in forgetting, she will no longer exist. Everyone leaves, ignoring Mab's cries, and she fades away..

I'm actually surprised to find a pro-Felicity article posted at TV Overmind (I agreed with most, though not all, of this article)... Arrow’s Laurel/Felicity Divide: Why I Still Loved Felicity Smoak in Season 3 By Laura Schinner on Jun 8, 2015 http://www.tvovermind.com/arrow/arrow-season-3-laurel-lance-felicity-smoak-divide-why-i-still-loved-felicity-smoak-259436 ETA: From what I've read, most of the writers at TV Overmind, like almost all of the writers at MoviePilot, tend to be pro-GA/BC and anti-Olicity, anti-Felicity except as supporting comic relief (though they might not say it outright).
