  1. He... is an angry person. He yelled at like 4 different people in episode 2 alone.
  2. That's a good thing to me. I think we're getting way too many (future) villains way too soon.
  3. I just lost a lot of interest in the show. When Root is off the show, I'll pay more attention.
  4. For the love cheese, why won't they let Deeks get a haircut?? His hair literally looks like a mop right now. Hetty rocks, as usual. The scene in the limo was hilarious. Seriously, show? Having Kensi and Whatshername get into a stupid catfight over Deeks?? Ugh But Callen and Sam are awesome teammates -- even with that ridiculous sub story.
  5. Yeeeeaaaah, I'm going to need to see that will, because "no psychiatrists" is an oddly specific instruction. But my bigger issue is that the writers want to take the straight and narrow (boring) path to Bruce becoming Batman. Like they're working backwards from Batman, instead of forward from Bruce. ("Batman is kinda messed up, guess he never had therapy as a kid." "Ooh, write that in!") This also annoyed me greatly. Well, now I know to keep my expectations in check with the titles. It's set in the "present day", but it's also deliberately vague about when it takes place.
  6. Half And Half was another show with a Black cast that wasn't about about race (also the jokes weren't mostly race-based). I was an intern for Essence Magazine one summer, and I know that they've had problems with their newsstand distributors because the magazine keeps getting placed with all the "Black" titles instead of positioned with the other fashion/lifestyle mags.
  7. Fox doesn't have a "family hour".
  8. Goodness, Jada/Fish, must you say Everything So Dramatically!? Yeah, she seems to be channeling Eartha Kitt. But I'm not hating it so far. Speaking of Fish, it looks like half the wardrobe budget is going to her dresses --while everyone else is in black, gray, and muted tones. She looks great. Now we see the beginning of the Wayne Home for Children (or whatever the official name is). Poor Oswald, he can't even pull off a simple ransom scheme. Yeah, he has a long way to go. Geez show, we get it, she's Cattween, but she does NOT have actual claws. Way to go overboard, makeup dept. So Falcone says that The Waynes AND Falcones were the pillars of the city; does that mean that the Waynes were into crime too? I hope not.
  9. "This season on Gotham": Has clips from upcoming episodes, so SPOILERS AHOY. http://youtu.be/bzUJDmjBPuQ
  10. This was intended as a criticism, but this video of multiple Waynes' murders is cool for comparison purposes. (I read that that's not even all the "major" ones.) About the question in that title: To me, it's like asking "how many times do we need to see Krypton blow up?" -- it's a vital part of Batman's backstory. It's going to be shown one way or another.
  11. I swear in one of the episodes last week a litigant mentioned not only having a "verbal conversation", but also (not?) having "financial money". Whaaa??
  12. The Alfred-Bruce relationship is one of the things I'm really looking forward to see develop; since it hasn't been explored much in other media. We only got to see a little bit of him in the Pilot, but it seems he's almost the opposite of nurturing. But I'm sure he deeply cares about Bruce, though.
  13. Well, now I want to know what he tells people when they ask about his accent. ($5 says this issue NEVER comes up on the show.)
  14. That trailer is pretty great. I'm not sure how long it can last as a series, though.
  15. Bruce: "I'm glad he's still alive. I want to see him again." [...So I can kill him with my rage!]
  16. I have a question; where is AAnderson working, or what is his business? I wasn't sure.
  17. "I'm in charge of Black stuff?" reminded me of my own Black stuff moment: I used to work at a temp agency and one day I was given an assignment at a gift shop to fill in as a cashier -- even though I had no retail experience. Turns out, it was the gift shop at the Schomburg and I realized that I was only there because I was one of the few (only?) Black temps the agency had! I felt sorry for the shop manager, though; she must have been annoyed that she had to teach me how to use a cash register.
  18. It was not, and that disappointed me!
  19. I don't know why character descriptions are no longer part of Fox.com webpages, but it's really annoying that there isn't more info on the show's official page.
  20. Just wanted to say it's kinda awesome to see so many familiar TWoP usernames over here.

    Abe

How come Abe doesn't have a last name??
  22. Can't he be both? In any case, is it even possible to go from a military career directly to police detective? He has to have some law enforcement experience.
