Was just flicking channels, just hanging out after the 4th & there is a 7th Heaven marathon on UP today. Aside from the fact that the show is so dated, it's hard to imagine how old the episodes are & how young everyone looks; I was surprised that it was even on! I thought reruns were stopped after Stephen Collins' interview. His situation is another that I think is a shame it came out-it was so long ago & not as many incidents as Josh's.

I've always thought it would be interesting if the show DID end once the Bachelor or ette had a "one" in mind. Then show sort of the aftermath, maybe propose that the couple actually GET married soon, like on ATFR. I remember JP & Ashley in Fiji saying as they walked along the beach "want to get married now?" and on Brad & Emily's ATFR it was actually supposed to be their wedding as a "surprise" to the audience I always thought that would be been really cool.

CH brought up how jealous and controlling JP seemed on Ashley's season and she just said she had to stick with her man, knew it was tough for him etc. They are married with a 1 yr old now and have largely stayed out of the spotlight aside from participating in Bachelor Nation things (ultrasound on TV, some ATFR's etc.) Maybe the same will be the case for Shawn and Kaitlyn-except Ashley and JP had school/actual jobs to get back to after the show ended. She went to UPenn in 2011, finishing up a dental degree and I'd always try to see if I saw her but I never did.

Jessa just posted this on her FB. She, Ben, Jill, Derick & Iz are on their way to ALIVE. They all look good here-Iz is adorable. I wonder if Derick had grown his beard out because he may have not been able to shave due to the surgery? I'd imagine it may be painful to shave. Read this on the Dillards' Blog. From Jill's bio I was more reserved than I am now, but usually carried a smile and enjoyed toting a little one around on my hip as we played "mom and dad", or "hospital", where I would pretend to be the nurse by giving "medicine" (a.k.a. Koolaide) from a dropper to my "patients" (one of my friends or siblings), or I'd pull a bandage out of my little Noah's ark apron to wrap up their "injured" leg. They LITERALLY drank Koolaid! HAHA. I find that hilarious. Also, Derick's bio mentions meeting Jill and beyond (marriage, expecting) but Jill's stops at her midwifery & baby making. Interesting.

Has Cathy had a cancer recurrence? I've seen references to her being ill lately. I didn't believe she was sick again. Maybe yes she's not 100%, but I didn't think she was ill.

It was obvious the lesbian couple were the instigators from the very beginning. They were very pleased with themselves. I said it before but I still can't believe how practically giddy they were about getting this information out. As collateral damage, it's basically "ruined" the girls lives. As much as I don't like the Duggar beliefs, I still believe this shouldn't have come out. No one deserves this. Sad for all the children within the upheaval. I highly doubt they would be able to prove it wasn't with mal intent.

I remember Michelle saying in an interview that Jill had been doing a lot of studying recently. Assumed that it was in accordance with Derick's classes for the MDiv & missionary work. Would be great for Jill to get more of an education aside from SOTDRT. How did someone get Derick's email? I think sometimes this & other boards go a bit overboard with the fact checking, IMO.

I can't remember if the post was on this site or another, however, there were links to a Twitter & Instagram belonging to the couple who kissed in front of the Duggar home. The coule revealed on Twitter that they had finally be successful in releasing this information to InTouch and basically that the Duggars were going to get what was coming to them since they had discriminated against the couple and the LGBTQ community. I get hating the Duggars but the way it was written/put out on social media shocked me. I mean there are Twitter posts now saying that Caitlyn Jenner should be stripped of his Olympic medal since he doesn't identify as a man anymore but I doubt Caitlyn Jenner will sue/dig into those individuals pasts. I understand that the information was out there, in form of a police report and that Duggars were on reality TV, but it seemed especially vicious to me. I think it is absolutely necessary. But I also can see where the Duggars would be coming from saying that Josh in their eyes/minds was a child (15 in Duggarese is basically a child since they are so stunted/immature/sheltered (this was meant to be partially snarky)) & they dealt with it as they felt was appropriate. I know I'd certainly have a problem with anything coming out about my stepbrother and confrontations/fights/abuse from my stepdad that were 17 years ago and handled just if another family had suffered abuse and thought we were interfering with their lifestyle if we felt compelled to assert our beliefs. I'm sure I didn't give a proper analogy, but I hope you can see what I was trying to say.

I thought the interview was better than expected. I did not think Michelle & JimBob would be as articulate as they were. One thing I've gotten hung up on is this--I understand the backlash they're getting for saying the media has started an unprecedented attack on their family. On the other hand, I find it appalling that the one couple who outed this secret was so brazen and excited on Twitter once the story broke. I understand this couple and the LGBTQ community not supporting/hating the Duggars since they devalue the LGBTQ community but I was shocked that the couple went after the Duggars in this way. Granted, the Duggars have their own religious beliefs that are very off putting to say the least, but I do not believe they or anyone would "deserve" this information being made public JUST on the basis of them speaking their beliefs & thinking they'd try to get laws passed. It does seem very mean spirited. It has in a way ruined Josh, the girls & the Duggars lives. The TV show may be cancelled, taking away people the kids have come to trust and rely on, the girls are subject to horrible comments on social media, when (in Jill's case at least) they just wanted to post about their life, Josh doesn't have a job & can't provide for his family, Anna is ridiculed etc. I snark on them with everyone else and do not agree with their beliefs BUT I also could choose to not watch the show & could have lobbied in other ways if I felt their beliefs were impacting my life, rather than obtain police records & throw this information the tabloids. (JUST MY OPINION, that I do feel for them that it was released when they thought they dealt with it properly and had moved on as a family. If this were my family & I TRULY felt it was a non issue, I'd be very upset )

Did anyone watch Trista & Ryan's new HGTV show, Rocky Mountain Reno? I missed it and can't find it anywhere online. I wonder if it did well at all since it premiered at 12 on a Sunday... The previews looks good and it seems like it would focus a lot more on the families/couples, the logistics of building houses & seeing Trista/Ryan's style than the current crop of HGTV shows.

Or it could be because they just lost Edward Herrman, who was a huge part of the show. I'm sure they all jumped at the chance to get together. Also, Milo Ventimigila is confirmed as attending. Maybe there is a movie in the works. Sad that it would need to address Edward Herrman's death though.

The only article I've seen referencing his sisters is from TMZ. TMZ is not credible, in my opinion. Not condoning whatever "mistakes" Josh may have made but do we know for sure it involved his sisters? I'm bummed a bit if the show is cancelled--only because I'll miss watching the train wreck & snarking on them!

Exactly my point. It was probably less a political statement than Jill just having to complete the poses. How much do we think Jill will frame each one in one of those series picture frames?

OMG, I LOVED the Courtship Announcement! They are adorable & she is GORGEOUS! I always liked Josiah & am glad he's branching out!

I remember the episode that Jana, Jill, Jessa & Jinger were at one of Jill/Jana's midwifery births. Jinger was taking photos & I believe Jinger/Jessa were talking to the camera in another room when loud LOUD screams/moans could be heard. Both of the girls had such wide expressions of "OMG, does it really HURT that bad?" Jessa & Jinger didn't sound enthused in TH during Jill's bridal shower with Her clients either. I think they're more like Mechelle & need to pray for a heart for children.

What I meant was for an unknown eligible bachelor to be cast. Someone with everything but without someone to share life with. Lol technically Alex Michel was an eligible bachelor back in 2002!

I'm really thinking that Chris pulls a Mesnick and chooses one then decides he wants the other during ATFR. That's what the previews are leading us to believe anyway. To be honest, I've thought Whitney was the one from very early on and don't see anything between him and Becca. She got the invisible edit and then everything was about her virginity. He's so much more animated (and that's really saying something) when he's with Whitney. I wish they'd just return to form and have a completely new season with a real "eligible" bachelor like Alex Michel, Andrew Firestore, Travis Stork were. At least in terms of looks, success, good life etc but with no one to share it with.

Or 3/17 for St. Patrick's Day. The Duggars have Irish ancestry don't they?

I was just looking on Jill & Derick's FB page. They posted more pictures from the visit to OSU. The tight shirt we were all snarking on Jill wearing was given to her by Derick's college roommates as a wedding gift so she definitely wasn't wearing a larger shirt or one of Derick's. It says Mrs. Pete on the back, which is kind of cute. I didn't see the newest pregnancy picture though.

It's more telling of Ben who PUSHED Derick. I hope Walmart doesn't do anything--I don't wish anyone to lose their job especially with a baby on the way, no matter who they are. I can't tell much from the video because all I hear is laughing, no talk about the cat. I bet Derick wouldn't even have been able to maneuver the "sled" away from the cat if he wanted to. I've definitely ran into snow banks/other people while tubing/sledding because I couldn't stop :/
