  1. While I generally dislike Alex, I got a good laugh at her line about Cory's endless monologues. The last few minutes really paid off, and Billy Crudup's way of playing Cory as over the top with his reactions worked really well. I am enjoying the hell out of Jon Hamm in this role. And hello Cybil! Did anyone else think it was Frank buying up all the stock to screw Cory?
  2. I think many here will appreciate that they stressed they will say more if and when they want and are able. Otherwise, let them grieve in privacy.
  3. I agree - but they can be a very vocal minority that I think sometime badger people into doing things (like making public statements). It's mob mentality. Jennifer Aniston as mentioned recently joined Instagram, and Courtenay Cox has been active on there for some time, often making Friends references. I don't actively follow any of the former cast, so I'm not sure about the others.
  4. To most civilized people, it's obvious they would be mouring a loss of a close friend (pun not intended). But, there's a contigent of people who think if they don't post, they don't care. (edit to add) I see a lot of "what was that noise" or "why all the sirens" on local sub-Reddits. We have become a very nosy society because of social media. I heard a news story this morning about how Perry's cause of death has now been "deferred" and my immediate response was "we are never entitled to know."
  5. I thought this myself, and saw a comment that also said, "This reads like a 90s Mad Lib of pop culture."
  6. And to make a long story short... TOO LATE. (Is it too late to add "the entirety of Clue" as my favourite scene?)
  7. I believe they mean they got around 2 hours of sleep in the previous part - probably on the bus ride with the recliner seats. Multiple teams mentioned not having a lot of rest. They did not stop between being given the next clue at the mat and the continuation we saw in the last episode.
  8. Assane is reading a letter from Pellegrini, with the implication that he's been playing the long game and has been behind this all along - and perhaps you shouldn't trust those that you do (cut to Mariama and Ben). I don't believe Pellegrini was reading a letter?
  9. And Just Like That just did this. The husband thought the wife was "just hormonal" post partum and didn't really mean it when she asked, so he never went through with it.
  10. That explains why the last few times I've got to each site, they are exactly the same.
  11. Didn't Seinfeld do the same with Julia Louis Dreyfus?
  12. I do love the gnome (especially when he's dressed appropriately for the task or region), but the old school scramble for transportation is doing exactly what it should - mix up the order of the teams and keep it far more interesting.
  13. Count me in with those who thought the big secret Stella was keeping about Paul was leaning in a different direction. Also, is she so blind that she doesn't see that offering her Cory's job is a pay off? That being said, I'm enjoying the hell out of John Hamm, who admittedly I never paid much attention to before. (I never watched Mad Men.) He is acting circles around most - especially Greta Lee (Stella) - who I find to be a weak actor. (I have never seen her in anything else either.) Chip, Chip, Chip. What is with you?
  14. I remember watching one episode where Lucy was basically berating Kevin into proposing, and my friend and I (both early 20s at the time) made a promise that we would knock some sense into the other if we acted in such a manner.
  15. Late to the party, but I am thrilled Ty and Kat won. They were great racers from day 1, with a good attitude, even when the going got tough. You could tell at which point Ben and Anwar knew they were out. There was a scene in a cab where they looked visibly emotional and down. That was a great final memory challenge - kudos to the producers for coming up with choices that matched the amount of letter spaces. That definitely made it harder. I would have immediately thought of tourtiere first, unless I knew the coinciding answers were correct and letters didn't match.
  16. I remember the outrage over Dodger not being included in any of Evans' Sexiest Man photos. If a photo of Dodger in some kind of doggy tux gets out there - it will break the internet. (See: previous photos of Dodger in matching sweater to Chris' Knives Out character.)
  17. I'm guessing the opening bell was faked, or played later? Because otherwise, total spoiler on who the final 4 teams are. There's something lately about Kayleen that's bugging me, and I can't place it, but I'm no longer actively rooting for her and Tyler. If Ty and Kat get eliminated, my choice would be Ben and Anwar for winners. (Very smart and strategic of them to notice Amanda's weakness in tennis and hit directly to her.) This is quite a heavy duty leg (and still more to go!) with a lot of physical work involved. That pole climb must have been agony.
  18. For some inexplicable reason, one line from Parker Lewis sticks in head, and it's a break of the 4th wall, where he says, "Who does this guy think he is, Ferris Bueller?"
  19. There is an LGBTQIA+ friendly establishment where I live called Friends of Dorothy. They do drag brunches. (Apparently the cocktails are good, but I digress.)
  20. And some of us were never good at math, and don't use that type of math in our day to day lives.
  21. I forgot to mention in my earlier post the one line that absolutely sent me over the edge. Nya crying that she's accomplished all these things, but doesn't have a man to share it with. GIRL, NO. Wanting to have someone to share in life's big moments and wins is one thing, but it was worded in such a way that it diminished her completely because a man wasn't there to appreciate it.
  22. I can understand making your children a priority in your life, but Aiden is acting (as others have said) like he's chained to his farmhouse and unable to do anything other than win a staring contest with Wyatt. Where is Kathy in all this? "I was the constant, she was always flitting off with a boyfriend, blah blah" - way to toss her right under that bus, you knob. Your kid needs therapy, not a helicopter parent. As much as I generally loathe Carrie, I thought her reaction was pretty measured. Especially when Seema asked if she thinks they'll come back. (Although, that doesn't say much likely for how seriously deep down inside she took this relationship.) I love Harry, but I'm glad Charlotte informed him that making a few breakfasts doesn't win him parenting awards. I'm handwaving, but perhaps the situation Miranda had to be interviewed about was an ongoing somewhat breaking news story (something about migrants?) so it's not entirely out of the question that she would interview on a 24-hour news channel, no matter the time.
  23. I have literally no idea how you solve math equations, even on paper, so major props to Ben or Anwar (sorry I forget which of them did it) for just popping off the answer off the top of his head. Derek and Jaspal had moments last night where their true personalities shined through, and it was much nicer to see than their phony made-for-TV over the top ones.
  24. I think JA is a lot more like Alex, her Morning Show character, than people may like to believe. (For those who don't watch the show - Alex is quite thoroughly unlikeable at times, although remains popular).
  25. Mr. Market and I were discussing Fyre 2.0 and how it's allegedly sold 100 tickets so far. Our conclusion is that people are so desparate to be a part of something, they'll shell out money for this - maybe hoping it's another disaster so they can say they were there.
