  1. They really nailed the casting of young Gareth, did they not? Spectacular. I agree with all that I love this little show. What a lovely winter palate cleanser. I will keep my fingers crossed for a future season of the adventures of Gal, Izzie and Sid as they continue to save the world. (But only if King Dick can somehow be involved.) I also enjoyed the silly Sid moment of "you know, they should make the pants have an easy opening and Zip! the pants come undone!" "Don't be ridiculous."
  2. This was my confusion. I kept waiting for them to reference where he was going to live - and was groaning/anticipating that he was going to live with steve. I also anticipated that Samantha was going to see him and have that be an immediate meet-cute where Grover could flex his protective dad muscles.
  3. He walks back into his house, and they fade to the outside and all you hear is George shouting "A BABY?!" and Lavon saying "OH DEAR LORD" I love this show so much. When I realized yesterday it was on, it brought a big smile to my face. AB is the best friend EVER. I liked Lemon and AB talking to Zoe in the tub. so cute. I love that Lemon pointed out how good Zoe is with Rose and her patients. I love that Rose figured it out. In case I'm not clear, I LOVE THIS SHOW. Grandma Betty telling Cricket she liked her fortitude made me laugh. I'm glad they aren't dropping that storyline. Did anyone think it was weird Zoe said "I'm having your baby" as opposed to "I'm pregnant"? Maybe she just wanted to be clear that 1. it was his and 2. she was keeping it.
  4. my favorite part was hayley coming out of the house with the doritos bag "did someone say party?" Fred Willard is still a genius, even if he is a victim of poor writing.
  5. I didn't like the shot at Erin that Ruzek took. I thought Nadia was going to punch him. I still like Nadia and hope they continue to show her working there, and getting her shit together to become a cop.
  6. I was bored by the ep, but the end tag had me guffawing out loud. I did like the convo between Nick and Schmidt over the Commodore 64 in the bathroom. Didn't we learn in the pilot that Nick had almost finished law school? That's hard to recognize now. (I could be making this up.)
  7. I agree. I LOVE him in his former role. He will always be <character name> to me! As for the ep - look at Shaft trying to tell them how to care for their new baby! If I was Donna I would have decked him! Glad the chaplain turned out ok. Phew. I laughed right out loud at Brett's "you have NO idea" about Cruz. HA! Gabby's face was priceless! The Mills plotline was predictable. Clearly the abusive husband is going to file a complaint. The hockey plot was a waste of time, save for Otis's facial expressions.
  8. I looked him up, too, to see if he was old enough to play Joe Hackett's dad. (Arm Candy to you all, he will forever and always be Joe Hackett to me.) Tom S is 81 and Tim is 58. At least they got that right. My fave part of the ep was Blake seeing the silhouette and pledging his secrecy. But once he was given permission he couldn't wait to tell. Second fave part - When Bess and Stevie were having their come-to-jesus meeting, Henry pushed Bess forward to talk to her. I just liked that it seemed like such a husbandly thing to do. I do like the way their marriage is protrayed. This show is light fun for me - a delightful respite before I delve into TGW and Homeland on a Sunday eve. I like that there's a problem, SOS and staff fix it in all their Bartlet-like glory and endscene. it works for me.
  9. I took it to mean she was looking at her scar(s). She prob hadn't looked in a mirror since she got hurt (even tho her hair was lustrious Herbal Essences-like.)
  10. I would agree - except that they exchanged their first "I love you's" in the hospital. she may be blinded by hearts and flowers.
  11. I get why Roman and Spencer Grammer felt guilty about not being on the porch (cop guilt, survivor guilt) - but how did everyone else know? How did Ruzek immediately want to fight Roman when he came out of the house as if he knew already that Roman had screwed something up? They could have been behind her on the porch and ducked down when she got shot. I don't know that it would have changed the outcome had they been standing right next to her. And then he went to apologize to Voight. Then Roman was all sweaty and nervous everywhere they went, i thought he was going to stroke out.
  12. These recaps always make me giggle. In case any of you aren't regular readers of GFY, this weeks power suit ranking: http://www.gofugyourself.com/the-good-wife-recap-season-6-episode-11-hail-mary-01-2015
  13. Hermann, Mouch and the Chief all went to the Academy together, IIRC. In a previous episode they went to a fellow firefighter's funeral (or did they just visit him?) together. I inferred that Hermann didn't move up the chain as fast as Boden because of all the babies. And Mouch didn't want to ever be anything more than a firefighter. I thought Hermann called the father as well. I also liked how Hermann and Cindy were leaving after being there all day and when the doctor came in with the news about potential deficits, they came right back in and sat down.
  14. For the buildup of "making the call" and "using her chit" for Brett, that was kind of anticlimactic that all she got out of it is a prison hospital visit. (I took it to mean that Gus *persuaded* the neck wound suspect to talk to PeterMills.) I thought Gus (do I have that name right?) would go kill the mob guy. Eamonn Walker - WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. every time I saw his face, my heart broke for the Chief a little bit more. boo. I enjoy that Donna's hair was its naturally bouncy self the next day in the hospital. :-) Christopher and Cindy are the best friends ever. But I thought Donna might have her own friends/family there. HOW did all 4 of them make it out of the town car without being decapitated!?!?!?
  15. THANK YOU! This annoys me in every show I watch (and I watch every crime procedural there is). Take the guns! You might run out of ammo! Why throw it down the elevator shaft!? Not to mention, some were semiautomatic and maybe had a better range than their Glocks. This is something I literally yell at the TV all the time: PICK UP THE WEAPONS. Unless we are supposed to believe that all of our crime fighters are so particular about their weapons they won't use one they haven't cleaned and loaded. Harrrumph. Jack Bauer never throws away a weapon....
  16. He called her in her office and they had a little phone sex. She talked about how seeing him on the stand would get her all flustered. And something about how she could never leave her husband but she loved being with him, etc etc.
  17. I agree. I think he just happened to be the first person she saw. (Altho, i don't know that she would have kissed Eli!) I like that Alicia paid for the consultant and Cary mentioned she was his only friend. "Trust the friend, not the girlfriend." Lemond Bishop makes my knees weak. lordy. Detective John Ventimiglia played a dirty cop on Blue Bloods, too, and I keep confusing his characters. Christine Baranski is the SHIT. Where was Clark?? I can't imagine he wouldn't be there all aflutter that his man crush was going to prison. Look at Carey swooping in to save the day. I never liked that kid, but maybe now...
  18. I love Blake. Do we know if Bess brought him with her or if he was already there when she got there..? I don't remember. If they have a previous friendship, then him checking on the kids is normal. What i didn't understand is that last time the McCord parents went away, Stevie had to come home to be with them - and look at how that turned out. Now she's ok leaving them both alone??? I did enjoy the scene in the hotel bed while Henry was taking down a big food platter and Bess is all "I haven't even been gone 24 hours!" No daisy/matt drama - hurrah!
  19. That KILLED me! I had welled up during the funeral - as you all said, Mark Harmon's eyes were so sad. But the end tag with the big smiles- that's when I let out a loud sob. When the suspect mentioned "Rivera. Alejandro Rivera." - Tony's eye twitch was fantastic!
  20. Just caught this on a repeat. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought Abby was out of line. I know she's Gibbs' favorite, but why does she always get a pass?? "Oh, that's Abby." If i had such a high maintenance co-worker, i'd snap.
  21. Didn't Hetty tell him that there was grandfather that was George? I just assumed after that that is what it was, even tho it wasn't spelled out explicitly. I don't know how we find out now without finding the father. I wonder what his birth certificate says?
  22. Seconded. I *might have squeed when Deeks pulled Kensi in for that kiss. Ok, I squeed. Out loud. A lot. And rewound. A lot. Am anxious to see how it affects the team. I really like Joelle and was so glad she is giving Callen another chance. Soooooooooooo - we still don't know if Michelle is Aiden's mother? It didn't seem like it last night. Granger looked like shit. ETA: so how weird is that dinner convo??? "How was work today, honey?" "Oh it was ok. I spent most of the day on ice skates, making out with your brother. No big."
  23. Zoe's orange lipstick was so jarring that i kept having to rewind because i couldn't stop staring at it. Lemon had a bad pink on as well. When Zoe shut the door in Wade's face my heart broke for him. Much like it broke for her at Towanda's wedding when she realized he cheated. I like the Cricket storyline. Hilarious that Stanley isn't gay, and just "loves the ladies"!! I loved the Belle meeting. I know it's a stereotype, but those pink Elle Woods-wannabes crack me up. I want Meatball to find true love. My love for this show cannot be overstated. (ETA because when one uses hyperbole and means OVERSTATED, one should not defeat one's enthusiasm by using "understated." argh. <headslap> )
  24. I am literally 20 mins in and had to pause to comment on the RIDICULOUS stunt double they used for Scott Caan while running through the lava garden. The guy was a foot taller and much skinnier. It was such a drastic difference that I thought the suspect had a friend and now they were chasing two suspects! I rewound it twice! Wanh waahhh
  25. Did she graduate high school early, what with the election and moving and everything? I admit i have no recollection and that is just my stab in the dark at a reason.
