I had to watch this entire episode literally through my fingers instead of just the last 5 minutes of last week. I didn't see any redeeming of Carrie at all - mostly because i couldn't get past the fact that Aayan looks like he's 15 (altho prob 18). I don't know that i would have had a problem with Carrie selling herself for an asset or a lead (since it's so in character), but because this boy is so *young* it completely creeps me out. blech. JP, the retired hitman, was played by the actor who played an unfortunate soul in 24 that was killed by Jack to stop an attack. I couldn't get past it. Kudos to newStepdad for trying with Erin, but markiepost was so over it. HATE. Loved the interaction with Voight and such heartfelt thanks. I hope we get the story of the actual decision making to take her in, and some background on Camille. Loved that Nadia didn't take any shit from Platt. Hope she stays clean. I love that Halstead had JP's gun and in a chokehold in a hot second. I forget his military training. Intrigued about the Olinsky/NewPatrolGuy's history. And olinsky at the end with the mobster... AWESOME. Burgess & Ruzek? meh.

I saw the 11-year old woods story simply as a mechanism for Fake Henry Jenkins to prove his mettle with Castle. Meaning, Castle told him that story because he knew no one else knew it, and futureCastle would know it was true. I didn't get that this seminal event is somehow related to the current mythology. You guys are giving me something more to think about! (Anyone else feel like they were watching Alias??) Perhaps I should have read further before responding! At least I know i'm not crazy!

I LOVED the Molly's 2 storyline. a fun B plot to help alleviate the overwhelming sadness. I heart Hermann. Could the new guy's little girl be any cuter??? I'm not sure what the new EMT's deal is - are we supposed to think she's got a side deal as a drug dealer? Or prostitute? Foreshadowing that Mills has a heart condition? I couldn't care less about his family search. Gabby didn't bug as much only because I thought her scene the morning after was pretty true to life. Having lost a best friend, I can relate to waking up mornings and not remembering right away. PS: Hellllooooooooooooooooooooooo shirtless Casey!

As I read everyone's comments, both here and at TVLine, I'm realizing that I may have read that completely differently. I interpreted the pinkie miss as intentional, and that they both smiled as they walked away from each other because they were each proud of themselves that they didn't reach for the other. Thoughts?

POPCORN!!" Do we (the audience) know Antonio got dumped? i can't remember if i read it here, or saw it on Chicago Fire or if it happened last season. So we know, but the squad doesn't know? Platt is a pill. I like her on CF with Mouch, but i can only stand so much of her bitchiness. I liked Antonio looking out for the CI. Not sure what to make of the impulsive kiss (i thought that was normal, and in character for this girl) but his rubbing of his lips after was weird. I love Olinsky as well.

I wish they had touched on the boy who was injured in the fire in the finale. Severide was all broken up about it - went to the hospital, felt guilty about missing him on the sweep, etc. I fully understand Shay's death taking a priority in his mind, but while he was cutting wood or talking to Casey, i wish he could have used that as a defense. Maybe "we don't save everyone; i missed that little boy in the school fire" etc. His grief was such a huge part of the finale, i just wanted them to recognize that the Shay death piled on.
