  1. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Carly had to remind Drew that it was Scout's birthday. He talks about how much time he's missed with her, but we still never even hear about them spending time together, much less see it. OMG, Drew, if Nina had turned you and Carly into the SEC because she was a concerned citizen, would you still be hellbent on revenge? I CANNOT with him. And really, his firing of Nina says more about him than her. He's a petty, vindictive asshole who can't see past his bruised ego. And speaking of ego: "I wish whoever's targeting me would get in my face, but I get it; they're too scared." LOL. Clearly Sonny has never heard of the long game. Why don't Felicia and Spinelli understand why Maxie is so hurt? Maxie made some excellent points about honesty and autonomy and they pooh-poohed them, saying they acted from a good place. Good motives don't erase Maxie's legitimate feelings. I really don't like how those feelings are being ignored. Dante is too close to being a parental figure. I get that. But Drew isn't the alternative. Previews: Ugh, more shrieking Heather.
  2. Even if SBu never returned, I wouldn't presume Jason was dead.
  3. I was legit surprised she was on the ball enough to bring up any CCTV for the exterior of the hospital. She'd have lost the case. I wish they'd make Maroun more capable. I got all excited when the car chase started, thinking, "Oh, no foot chase this week!" and of course that was immediately dashed.
  4. Joss's only concern is getting Dex back to Port Charles. The reason is irrelevant. She's thinking only about herself.
  5. That was sure the whiplash with the BL/Chase scenes. He blames her for how the ELQ lawyers sent him the prenup; then he says he calmed down and realized it wasn't so outrageous to have a prenup. Then why fly off the handle in the first place? Sonny is acting like a peevish 7-year-old (qual surprise), but since it's aimed mostly at Michael, I'm enjoying it more than I'm aggravated by it. News flash, Joss: Just because Sonny might not do anything to Dex if he returns to PC doesn't mean one of Sonny's enemies won't. How about you think outside of your selfish sex haze and consider the bigger picture? Finn's reaction to Violet's "wedding" was absurd. And painfully stupid. I had secondhand embarrassment for ME having to play that. Gross how everyone thinks Tracy wouldn't let BL wear Lila's wedding dress. And I still hate how Tracy is feeling guilty about not wearing it for her first wedding. If she didn't like it then, she didn't like it. It doesn't make her terrible or selfish. I will die laughing if Joss brings Dex back to Port Charles to "save" Sonny, and Jason shows up at the same time and those two end up having a slap fight over who's going to protect Sonny.
  6. Wagger will fold soon enough. They all do.
  7. Ugh, Dex. I knew he wasn't gone for good, but he could have been absent longer. Like months and years longer. LOL at how easily Joss found him. It was fun to watch Michael scramble to explain to Dante how he didn't go through with turning Sonny in, as if that mattered to Sonny. I'm glad they had the line that Lila knew her dress wasn't right for Tracy, because I think it's really unfair to guilt Tracy about that. A bride should be able to wear the dress she wants, not one she feels obligated to wear. That first dress BL tried on was dowdy, I thought. Same. As long as both parties are treated fairly (which doesn't necessarily mean equally), what's the big deal? It's protection for everyone and can save some grief later on. Why is that so offensive? Besides, prenups can always be renegotiated if/when circumstances change. But this show loves its antiquated/lazy ideas. My Spectrum service has been very spotty for the past two days, so I couldn't watch a lot of the episode, but from what I did see, I didn't miss much.
  8. (The characters in the show don't know that.) For me, Carly losing Jason isn't that tragic because the rest of the town lost him as well. Carly isn't the only one deeply affected, whereas losing the MetroCourt is specific to her.
  9. Nina having a legitimate beef with Carly has always been handwaved (by the show) as Nina being petty and vindictive. It's so enraging, because Carly has admitted more than once that if Willow hadn't gotten sick, she (Carly) would have been happy to stay silent forever that Nina was her mother. I get Carly can never lose, but that she doesn't suffer any serious setbacks ever for her actions is ridiculous. Any problem gets resolved in the same episode it's raised, and as we've discussed before, people fall all over themselves to make sure Carly's life is as untroubled as possible. This is not interesting to watch.
  10. Yep. I know Blaze wanted the emotional support, but it was unfair of her. At least they had Kristina stay silent. They've been gratifyingly consistent with Kristina's attitude toward everyone's path to coming out. LOL at Sonny calling Nina "reckless and petty." Look in the mirror, dude. OMG, Sonny is blaming Nina for keeping him from his family? He didn't want to know! There is so. much. gaslighting going on here. I thought the Maxie/Spin scenes were well done, to my surprise. So...Carly just closes up Kelly because she wants to fuck Drew? Okay then. To be fair, neither did the show. It was pretty much a fait accompli that Lucas would give up Wiley without a whimper. That whole aspect of it was so enraging. Poor Lucas. No one had his back.
  11. More Jason anvils. I get it, Show. He's returning, but it's a big sekrit surprise. FFS, Nina. Ava and Sonny have had a relationship since CryptSex and Avery was born. I have no patience with this idiocy. I'm hoping she's given some nuance, but so far she's a cliché. "And by the way? You're drinking Corinthos coffee." Oh, sick burn there, Carly.
  12. Same. Ava and Nik were using each other for their own purposes. I thought that worked for them really well, and it was a lot of fun to watch. Then the show of course lost its nerve and made Nik and Ava boring.
  13. Molly and TJ will probably resent Kristina for having to give birth, they're so awful. That's how we know badass Ava is back, lol. I don't want a Sonny/Ava hookup. CryptSex! was gross enough. Sonny is more than capable of being an asshole to Nina on his own; he doesn't need help from Ava. And I don't want Ava betraying Nina, her supposed friend.
  14. I've served on civil and criminal juries in NYC, and the judge has never looked at/asked for the verdict before the jury has announced it. That's always driven me crazy about this show.
  15. TJ and Molly need to stop acting as if Kristina is deliberately trying to contradict them. They're so hateful toward her. They barely try to give her any benefit of the doubt. They're treating her like an incubator and it's gross. LOL at Cyrus's face when Heather barged in: "Here we go." Hee. That said, I'm tired of her barging in everywhere and screaming like a banshee. These Jason anvils are relentless. I wonder when we'll start to see him skulk around Port Charles, watching people with tears in his eyes.
  16. I can't see Elizabeth and Jason getting back together at this point. There will always be warmth between them, but I think the romantic flame is long extinguished. Or at least I hope it is, because that's a re-pairing that is really unnecessary, maybe even more so than Spin and Maxie, also completely unnecessary.
  17. Can't agree. The writing for these two lets the characters down on a weekly basis. While the sendoff for Jack was a bit rushed, I thought it was very appropriate, and I loved seeing him back in the courtroom. Some writer finally stepped up. As for the therapist testifying, they could probably have set some limits on what could be divulged, but whatever, it was a plot point to get the mayor's son on the stand.
  18. I think Carly was willing to swan into Crimson and pretend to be the new editor as a final dig at Nina, and then when Drew decided he needed more than just a pound of Nina's flesh, she noped out. I don't find that hypocritical, actually. Carly seems to have drawn a line under wanting to get back at Nina. That's pretty reasonable, IMO. Especially for Carly.
  19. Jason was buried under a rock slide or something similar in Greece, so amnesia wouldn't be totally out of nowhere.
  20. Drew, if you're so concerned about your daughter, stop trying to take revenge on Nina and spend some time with Scout. He's such an idiot. He's also been a big enough asshole that I'm enjoying him get all bent out of shape about Nina. He brought all of this upon himself but refuses to admit, so, karma's a bitch, pal. This mob boss thing is so boring. I know they're treading water until Jason returns, but that doesn't mean the story can't progress.
  21. Morgan can stay dead. Sonny losing a son, even if it wasn't directly connected to his business, was a logical extension of his lifestyle. He needed a really big loss, even if it hasn't changed anything.
  22. I think Joss was telling Trina that the reason she couldn’t say why Dex left had nothing to do with their friendship (i.e. it’s not because Joss doesn’t trust Trina), not that the friendship was the cause for his leaving. It was a little clumsily worded, but thats just Joss. Oh, that makes much more sense. Thanks, @30 Helens.
  23. It's so aggravating that they're acting as if Carly had anything to do with the current issue of Crimson. It would have already been at the printer—or nearly there—when Drew kicked Nina off the staff. Gah. Why would Trina think Dex's leaving had anything to do with their friendship? That's one of the dumbest things I've heard. Sonny was in prime asshole mode today. I hate it when he is so dismissive of everyone and has those idiotic playground-level comebacks. He sounds ridiculous, not like the tough guy I'm sure the show (and Mo) think they're selling. Traitor in the ranks or no, Ms. Wu still needed to hear ASAP that someone is going after mob bosses. Big fat NO to any rekindling of a Maxie/Spin romance. Alexis's idea of a gossip column is wildly out of date. Debutantes? Same. I wonder if that was scripted.
  24. She got a fair amount of heat about that when it was her main characteristic, but it never bothered me. Why should she care about these garbage people otherwise? I kind of appreciated that she was in it for the money. She's a mob attorney—there aren't too many other upsides. But now she's an unbearably smug scold.
