  1. These days, she'd ask him why he didn't. I hate the general attitude on this show that the men just can't help themselves to sex but the women bear the brunt of the scorn if they get pregnant.
  2. I think evil Drew is here to stay, which I don't really mind except the reason for his heel turn seems to be that his childhood wasn't good. Zzzz. For a guy who's desperate to be part of a family, he's doing an excellent job of making sure he never will be. Trying to uproot the family crypt is never going to endear you to the rest of the clan. And I still don't understand why the Qs aren't telling every media outlet in town about this. You want to crush Drew? Bad press is the way to do it. FFS. At least pay lip service to why that's not happening. This fakakta show. I can accept a lot of lunacy—it's a soap, they have 200+ episodes to write every year—but the GH writers consistently ignore what's right in front of their faces. Most of the time a couple of lines is all that's needed, and they can't be bothered to do even that. I honestly don't get it.
  3. Yes, because that condition has a specific treatment. Kidney disease can mean a number of things, using different drugs and therapies.
  4. She is an idiot (I hate having to write this!), and I'm sure Ezra will somehow use it against her politically.
  5. Isaiah needs to tell Sonny that with the way things are going, if Sonny doesn't have the heart surgery very soon, he won't last the couple of weeks he thinks he can wait. Though I'm sure what will happen is Sonny will drop at Noted Bigot Natalia's feet and she'll have to call an ambulance for him to have emergency surgery at GH. So all of Sonny's dumb attempts at secrecy will be for naught. And then Super Agent Joss will somehow have to deal with the mob fallout from the power vacuum without anyone realizing what she's doing. Jason will figure it out, naturally, and glower at Brennan for luring Joss into the lonely spy life. I'm surprised Kristina hasn't scratched out Irene's name on the headstone and changed it to Adela. That was quite the PSA. I bet someone on the cast/crew/writing staff is affected.
  6. Tracy should be a little smarter than inviting Drew to see that she and Curtis (and Stella) are teaming up, especially since she and Curtis don't really know each other and haven't talked about any sort of strategy. Poor Isaiah, being at Sonny's beck and call because Sonny is too paranoid and stupid to go to GH. Yeah, this is one of the big problems I have with the story. Dante would have told Lulu about his summer dalliance with BL, especially after the gross story when Carly tried to break up Dante and Lulu. Don't forget about It's funny that so many of the older actors are orange and then Gio and Emma are so pink.
  7. I think Kristina has a place on the canvas, but not as someone with such a deranged single-mindedness to seek vengeance for something that everyone but she believes was a terrible accident. The only reason people like Sonny and Alexis aren't telling her to get a grip and see a therapist (or see a better one, since the early sessions didn't do anything we the viewers can see) is because they're afraid of Kristina's "fragility." What a couple of cowards. Too bad Kevin is luring gambling addicts to their doom in Maryland, because he might be able to help.
  8. Kristina will no doubt try to have Ava arrested. Ugh, if only Kristina could be launched into the sun. She's SO tiresome. No, I'm pretty sure this how they think they're honoring history. Me either. Same, but I also wouldn't be shocked if Vaughn were the sekrit kid. It gives Joss a chance to point out how hypocritical Brennan is—"You didn't have to cut ties with your family; why do I?"
  9. Uh-oh, Brennan has a sekrit child. If the WSB expects Joss to use good judgement, they will be forever disappointed. He won't die, so big whoop. I'm so tired of main characters having "life-threatening conditions" that amount to nothing. Carly was poisoned and didn't spend 24 hours at GH. Okay, she checked herself out without being medically cleared, but that's typical Carly. I KNOW. He hated all of that bad press when everyone learned he was sleeping with his nephew's wife. This will be unflattering too. That would be attorney-client privilege. I kind of like that Elizabeth took advantage of his feelings for her and spilled. That's decently soapy.
  10. "Julian must have amassed quite a fortune before he passed away." Passed away, Ava? Julian was murdered. By your daughter's father.
  11. How dare you! Sonny is the kingpin for the Eastern Seaboard mob and controls sea lane access with an iron fist.
  12. Some pledge: Carly will be dead. She won't care at that point if Jason kills Brennan.
  13. I wonder if even that would work. Willow is completely in thrall to Drew.
  14. Don't lie detector tests need yes or no answers to be accurate? You'd think super trainee Josslyn Jacks would point that out. It's painful to watch her "training." I hate how happy Alexis was when she learned that Valentin was the one who took away Ava's Cassadine money, but I appreciated she wouldn't bend the rules for Charlotte. I don't see why it matters to Lulu if Anna is pushing a visit for Valentin's benefit only. Charlotte came to the PCPD and asked to see her father. To me that means she will get something out of it. Lulu is such a dumbass. Portia is another dumbass. If she doesn't want her marriage to blow up because of secrets, don't keep secrets! Good lord. Though I like the Portia/Nina thing that's going on. I did laugh when Ava peaced out: "Not my fight, but you know where I am." Absolutely the right thing to do.
  15. L&O doesn't have that kind of influence. The attention was immense from the the start, and there were jurisdictional issues from the moment Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania.
  16. What I like about this happening to Maxie is that she's a long-term character, so she knows everyone and their history, and she doesn't just spout someone else's opinion. She's earned the right to be people's go-to.
  17. Maxie has become everyone's get-a-grip friend, and I'm here for it.
  18. "You need to talk to a mental health professional, not someone who won't use shampoo."
  19. Ava's accountant told her it covered her mortgages for the month (or whatever) but she's still in dire financial straits. To be fair, they were also telling her the same thing about Sonny for years. She doesn't care. The heart (that is bravestrongandloveswithallofit) wants what it wants.
  20. Alexis should tell Ava that the terms of the Cassadine estate don't allow for loans to anyone. That way it satisfies Kristina's ridiculous vendetta and might even stop Ava from trying to get anything else from the trust. Lucas and Elizabeth were hilarious. I loved his description of Mario—"...tall enough...," hee—and her excitement, then Lucas brightly tells her he barfed all over Mario. Yes, Elizabeth, it was quite the meet-cute. What happened to Jason that he thinks telling Carly she can't do something will mean she won't do it?
  21. I like Van Hansis as Lucas, but no actor has been able to sell the idea that Lucas and Carly are so close. I have to stop and think they're related in the first place, which is made obvious by the show constantly telling us that they're brother and sister. I can buy the money issues—the economy, not selling as many paintings as expected, etc.—but I can't buy Ava having no idea how badly she's in the red. Not knowing her credit card limit? That's ridiculous, and they'd never write this crap for a man (unless he were Julian or maybe Ric, the eternal male goats). "I hope you think of me as a friend." Really, Drew? You are blackmailing Portia. Accept that she might find you something less than a friend. He was also strangely confrontational when Portia told him to take the win. You keep pushing and she might decide to tell all, consequences be damned. (Portia should tell Curtis what's going on. Drew is a common enemy, and I'm pretty sure Curtis won't be mad about the test result changes for too long. Heather is also a common enemy.) Valentin's facial hair situation just gets more and more terrible. Brennan is trying to turn Joss into a WSB agent.
  22. Has anyone pointed out to Drew that the mausoleum he's so obsessed with moving contains his family members too? That's the angle Tracy should be using: "Heartless Congressman Wants to Uproot His Family Crypt." The Invader should be all over this. Forget threatening Drew with lawsuits and stuff. Crush him with bad press! They made a point of saying the adoption was closed, through a Catholic agency. Traditionally that meant neither the child nor birth parents could seek the other out, but the laws surrounding adoption are evolving and dependent by state. As always, the show does no research for how things should play out; had they just had Lois use an attorney, they could fiddle with legalities in a less offensive manner, IMO. I liked that conversation between Lois and BL. I understand why BL is angry, but I think she'll see that telling Gloria wasn't a betrayal. Aren't we to think that Gloria helped Lois with the adoption? That's the impression I've gotten.
  23. This is my complaint, as well. I think AH is a very good recast, but the character hasn't changed at all. Isn't one of the points of putting characters into endless comas to tweak them a bit when they wake up? Trust GH to fail at everything. @Bringonthedrama, thanks for the explanation.
  24. You did not because there was no such scene. She’s just decided that he will live with her because that’s what she wants and to hell with his father. Not to mention to hell with what Rocco wants.
  25. Why the quotes? Chase and BL are married. She is his wife. Which was dumb because everyone who needed to know found out soon enough anyway. Don't take someone to GH and expect it to be kept confidential. Even Sonny knows this! Doesn't the WSB have some super sekrit clinic nearby?
