  1. She's not involved. She left GH when everyone was talking to Robert about Heather. Heather still needs to be offscreen for at least six months before any modulation happens. And I still find it annoying that the show doesn't have the guts to get rid of characters who are long past their freshness date. There are so many on this show that need to be cut loose.
  2. That's exactly what I was thinking. Stop reforming people, Show. Let the terrible villains be terrible villains, and get rid of them accordingly.
  3. Of course we aren't rid of Heather. I don't care if her health issues are legit. Where are Portia's flexible medical ethics now? LOL at Joss's petulance and refusing to help Dex pack. And of course they end up having sex. That's why she doesn't want Dex to leave. Gregory, you can easily ask for ADA accommodations. I wish the show would have mentioned that. (Or did it? The "special report" broke in for about 10 minutes, and we missed a bit of that scene between Alexis and Gregory.) Gregory can still decide he doesn't want to continue working at the Invader, but at least he's not run out of the paper because of Nina's jerkiness. And wow, are they making her a jerk.
  4. And/or Michael, and I'd also think Jason would try to keep Sonny out of jail if only for how that would affect Sonny's family. So for me, big loud snore at poor poor Jason's dilemma. Not that I really expected something interesting. Same. Sonny will never pay for his crimes, so all of these stories are destined to go nowhere as far as that goes. When Sonny's claustrophobia is treated as a legitimate reason to not imprison him, you know nothing will happen to him. Even if Wagger is a decent foil at the moment, he'll end up like the rest: a Sonny apologist and/or disgraced LEO. Too bad the option of sleeping with Sonny is off the table. That would at least mix things up a bit.
  5. That was so irritating. Halfway through the trial is when they decide to do a deep dive into the defendant? I can't with these kinds of beyond-idiotic "twists." I like how Baxter is already getting under Nolan's skin. I was mostly neutral on Nolan, but the writing for him has made him look very stupid, and Hugh Dancy is kind of leaning in to the worst parts of that. When Baxter asked Nolan if he was handing in his resignation, part of me wished Nolan had said yes and flounced out. But of course he'd return the next day and say it was the heat of the moment. Sigh. The law side is so much weaker than the order side.
  6. Same, but of course it's being handled in the most ham-handed way possible. And the pacing is beyond terrible. Is baked ziti the only thing Lois (and Olivia) know how to make? I wish Jason had shot Dante, if only to stick it to Carly and Michael's faith in Jason. But no one is ever wrong when it comes to Jason. Of course Drew would go to prison again for Carly in a heartbeat. He's choosing her over his daughter. Hmm... Can Friday please be the last day we see Heather?
  7. Is today the first day SBu is in the opening slideshow? I haven't been paying close attention, and it caught my eye today. As amazed as I am that men stick with Carly knowing that Jason will always be her top priority, I'm equally amazed that she's stunned when they break up with her because of that. Carly's about-face on Crimson was hilarious: She told Drew she didn't want to keep working there, but then when he says he can't see her every day now that they're kaput, she cries that she's being fired. Danny, how hard it is to explain to Michael that an injured Jason is in the boathouse and needs help? That's all you had to say. Way to make Willow an accessory after the fact, Michael, even if she went willingly like the blindingly obedient wife she is. "Your intel is whack." LOL, what year are we in? I am now waiting for Marshall to call that doctor a turkey. Not sure what Jordan was complaining about when she was very amenable to be a deputy mayor.
  8. I can only shake my head at his stupidity. Carly has never made it a secret that Jason will always be top priority in her life. It sucks for whatever guy she's with at the moment, but you can't say they haven't had any warning. It always amazes me the guys will stick around knowing that. Have some self-respect. But the allure of Carly is too great, I know. /s He's said in the past that bringing Michael into his life is the reason he's not going to give up on Carly. And I kind of love Jason's annoying/indifference toward Carly. That's how everyone should feel. Of course, Jason still bails Carly out of whatever she's gotten her into, so his feelings become irrelevant. I think you mean the "hot but," not the hot tub. ;-)
  9. Wellll, if it didn't happen so often, it would be more surprising. For most returns everyone does act as if it's the last thing they'd expect. And I'd have thought Sam and Michael might have some sort of exchange along the lines of "Jason's back, huh? When did you find out?" Something. On the other hand, Jason's return is completely unnecessary, so whatever, Show.
  10. He should have said, "Which one are you again? Jake? Rocco? Aidan? Or...the other one. What's his name?"
  11. Seriously. Did Laura think Heather would take the news calmly? Here's hoping Heather does go to women's federal prison at San Quentin and we don't see her for a couple of real-life years. I'm so tired of her. "What are you thinking really loud and not saying?" I will have to remember that. It's a great line. I'm a little surprised at how many people are so blasé about Jason coming back from the dead.
  12. The sniping gets very old very quickly for me, especially because on GH it's always repetitive. And the temporary detente is just as badly written. There's the obligatory "I know we've had our differences..." and then things get way too matey and warm. There still should be prickliness and conflict! Well, maybe not so much when it comes to shared grief, but if the characters need to work together on something, definitely. I buy it more than you do, @jsbt, because they've done a decent job of showing how Sonny is isolated and can't trust anyone. He's become paranoid about who to trust, and he doesn't need to be off his meds for that, IMO. Ava is doing a masterful job of playing devil's advocate and pushing him subtly toward that paranoia. I don't know about resenting Jason/Carly, but that's not unreasonable to me, either. The only possibilities are Danny (out for a vape) or Willow/kids. i'm putting money on Danny. It could be Cody, if he's taking a break from his GH vigil. And he doesn't know Jason, so that could be interesting.
  13. Will anyone be surprised that Drew and Carly are dunzo, though? Everyone she's been with has been a placeholder for Jason. He's always her first priority no matter what. I said this in the ep thread, but it cracks me up how quickly and thoroughly they're throwing Drew under the bus so he and Carly can split. I'd almost feel sorry for him, but CM's version has been unbearable, and if Drew really thought Carly wouldn't drop him the instant Jason was an option, he's been totally deluded.
  14. It cracks me up how quickly and thoroughly Drew is being thrown under the bus for Jason's return. They are making it so that Carly will practically have no choice but to end it with Drew and get back with Jason.
  15. It's a fine line, IMO. If Jake had been using the vape when Finn walked in, that's one thing. But Finn found it on the floor (or wherever). One mention that it's bad is fine, but even with being Elizabeth's partner, they don't live together. But I like that Finn bowed out once Jake showed Elizabeth the vape. That was the right time. It's not as if Jason would say anything if he were taken to the PCPD, so he might as well jump off the bridge. Too bad he won't get swept to the Pennsylvania side and lost forever. We haven't really seen Alexis in grandma mode before, have we? The scenes with Danny were nice. Previews: Heather (ugh), and Carly yelling at Drew (just cut the idiot loose, lady; you know you want to now that Jason is back).
  16. Finn, you aren't Jake's father, so stop lecturing him about the evils of vape pens. Tell Elizabeth and let her handle her son. To be fair, too many people in Port Charles are related to Sonny or his family. But don't pick a surrogate who is Sonny's daughter, hmm?
  17. That was appalling on so many levels, and it was really disappointing that Carly didn't get more heat for not doing more to stop Sonny. But even back then she was fairly immune to any consequences for her actions.
  18. I'd argue that Drew forgets Scout exists until someone reminds him, but I let my dislike of Drew color everything he does.
  19. I don't understand the creative choice for making Lucky a deadbeat dad. There was no story to be told—Lucky was just off dealing with "the darkness" or whatever crap they tried to sell us. He's offscreen; they didn't have to write a story for him, just let us know he and the boys regularly talked and saw one another. That's not hard at all. Drew is more of a deadbeat dad than Lucky ever was, and he's onscreen! With Jason back we'll probably get a few weeks of him attempting to parent his kids, but his return story will soon take precedence, and he and Drew will be neck-and-neck for Worst Father Who Actually Lives in Port Charles. With Drew on his way out, the crown will be Jason's in no time.
  20. Nah, Joss brought Dex back to PC because it makes it easier for them to fuck.
  21. He is? I thought he was still in California, which is where he went when RH left the show.
  22. Too bad Carly didn't squeeze the life out of Jason when she was hugging him. I was pleasantly surprised Carly didn't give us that stupid line about knowing he couldn't have been truly dead because she didn't feel it in her bones. I hate that trope. Olivia texted Sam Dante's room number at the beginning of the show, and then in the chapel Liv told Sonny that Sam texted her Dante's room number. Hello, continuity? That dreamy smile she had when Nina found her in the chapel was so disappointing. Ava knows Sonny is complete POS. Why does she want to have anything to do with him that isn't her playing him? Gah. Ava might be playing Nina, though. Someone has finally learned. I thought Carly did a good job with her reaction to hearing Jason was alive from Anna and Wagger. She didn't oversell her anger at Anna telling her or her disbelief at seeing the photo of Jason. That was some subtle stuff, not something I usually think Carly is capable of. A little over a year, I think? And she probably just realized the horror show of who her parents are and that's why she's so upset. I had a nice moment of schadenfreude that no one called the dolts to tell them that Dante was out of surgery and is stable in the ICU. Ha!
  23. You say that like it's a bad thing.
  24. Frank LOVES his lisping precocious child actors, which is how we got stuck with Nicholas Bechtel for way too long, and why we're now suffering with the Violet and Wiley twin actors. My dream for kids, if they must exist (and too many of them shouldn't, but that's another rant): They can come home from the hospital, be cute infants and toddlers for a while, and then go for a nap and come back down as early/middle teens who want to be on set and can say their lines without it sounding as if someone is feeding them through an earpiece.
