  1. I do a lot with my right hand: some sports, scissors, toothbrush, cutting and peeling in the kitchen...the list goes on. It's what feels comfortable. It's not that weird. Everyone has different degrees of ambidexterity. Perhaps lefties have more because it's a right-handed world, I don't know.
  2. It won't go anywhere, because that would mean that Drew and Carly would have to face facts that someone did get hurt with their insider trading, but I appreciate the show tying this in.
  3. L&O U did not cover this when I attended, so thanks, @lala2. I forgot to mention earlier: What was the deal with the creepy hotel employee barging into Trina and Spencer's room? I thought we might see him get a payoff from Esmé after confirming the pair were in the room, but no, it was just dropped.
  4. It sure did. What a smarm Brick was. He did that when they were in New York City and she was all dreamy about it. Yuck. The only thoughtful thing he did there was arrange the BTS tour at the Met museum. I guess Nik wasn't the anonymous bidder for Windermere? If you already have stage 4 cancer, getting a diagnosis a few months earlier will not significantly affect your rate of survival. Since when can the plaintiff's lawyer call the defendant to the stand? He insisted Ava move into the penthouse, so he can shove his attitude toward her. I think Mo doesn't pay much attention to his tone, because he often sounds threatening when that's not the scene.
  5. My dad wrote so deliberately (the pressure of a pen would go through three or four sheets of paper) that we wondered if he'd originally been a lefty, but neither he nor my grandma could remember/confirm. My elder brother is also a lefty, and when it was time for us to learn to write, my mom went in and told our teachers that she wanted to be sure we turned our paper in the correct direction. She didn't want any claw-handed writers. (Though claw hand mostly happens so we don't smear what we've just written.) The point is that being left-handed in and of itself doesn't mean anything for what hand you use for a task.
  6. I'm a lefty, but I do a lot of things with my right hand. And as it happens, I would use my right hand to hold a gun. Handedness isn't slam-dunk evidence by a long shot. But the idea that the defense wouldn't vehemently object to that video is dumb. Especially after getting the original confession tossed.
  7. LW's Carly is where the character became untouchable for the most part, IMO. I think the adjustments the writers have made with each recast have been fairly logical. It makes sense to me that today's Carly would feel like she was a pillar of Port Charles. But there should still be a tiny bit of insecurity in there; after all, she's gotten everything handed to her. Better writing would have her wondering if it could be taken away just as easily. But instead we get Carly coming out on top every. single. time with little to no effort on her part. It's boring to watch. Carly would be more interesting if she lost a few times and we saw her claw her way back. I don't know who's in charge of character direction, but Carly's needs to change.
  8. Once again, the prosecution gets sandbagged by some evidence they should have found themselves (the partner's emails about pushing the dead guy out of the business). I'm very tired of this happening so frequently. It would be one thing if the defense sprung surprise witnesses or whatever, but it's always something related to a witness the police have talked to. The order side of the show is still the weaker half by a mile.
  9. Which is a pretty good argument to trim the cast. Not every character can have an A story going on at the same time, but when you're shoving people into scenes only to meet their minimums, you probably have too large a cast.
  10. Somewhere we read that he and Sam would be raising teenagers. If that's the sort of story he's to get, I'd rather see him randomly being the only semi-competent cop in the PCPD.
  11. Oh, Robert. Red roses? The most generic flower on the planet? Way to put some thought into things. You can do better. At least find out if Diane even likes red roses. Not every woman does. That said, why is the show continuing to try to make fetch happen? The arguing over whether Sonny should be put in jail is beyond stupid. If Violet is old enough to play obnoxious matchmaker for Finn and Elizabeth, she's old enough to understand that Finn sometimes works late/nights and can't tuck her in all the time. Ugh. Brick. You think you're all that and a bag of chips. You're not. Go away. As always, Molly and TJ are getting way ahead of themselves. Good for TJ for recognizing that. But Kristina is barely pregnant, so everyone needs to keep expectations in check.
  12. The lure of Mulcahy might entice him back. I can see why he stayed away earlier.
  13. Hart and Vergara were rude. I expected that from Kevin Hart, but not Sofia Vergara. One thing I did find funny was his exasperated "Graham, aren't you going to step in?" and Graham said, "No, I'm interested in this." Ha!
  14. I think the editing was the usual mess. Kevin Hart is exhausting, and he hogged the sofa. So did Sofia Vergara, but at least Jodie Comer and Alan Cumming are no shrinking violets. I'm sure Graham enjoys the shows that basically run themselves, though!
  15. I'm so tired of everyone acting as if everything Curtis does is so amazing. It's not as if he personally set the table or did the flowers or made the food for Trina's party. And given how endlessly the family talked about her trip to Paris, it wasn't much of a stretch to think about putting together the party. When is Trina leaving? The way everyone it talking it sounds like it's immediately after the party. I'm bored with this story. Someone upthread mentioned how much more interesting it would be to watch Esmé struggle with how liking the support she's gotten since giving birth to Ace and with wanting revenge. Gee, Molly is being overbearing. Who'd've thunk? I don't care if Kristina knows where it's coming from, Molly needs to dial it back. Though I doubt Kristina will say anything. Go away, James. (It was cute when Cody ran through the living with James and said, "We're going to play a game!" That was more Josh Kelly than anyone else.)
  16. Same. I have no interest in watching Carly snipe at Elizabeth because of Jason. He's not worth it. Stick him with Carly and be done with it, or give him someone new down the road. But his time with Elizabeth as a romantic partner as passed, IMO.
  17. So she knows if yet another shoe will drop. Can she devote all of her attention to her revenge war, or does she have to keep an eye open to make sure Drew doesn't do something else? I don't think that question was unreasonable, though I wouldn't necessarily believe Drew if he said yes.
  18. Curtis's doctor should be saying, "Tell me when you feel something," not "Do you feel this?"
  19. Same. He's done too good a job keeping the show on/under budget and getting decent enough ratings TPTB haven't yet replaced GH. That seems more important that giving the audience well-written, interesting stories. But maybe Mulcahy can move that needle.
  20. Esmé really needs to talk to a lawyer before she goes off half-cocked, but of course she won't. I'm legit a bit surprised Drew seriously considered Carly as editor. I can see him asking her to pretend should would just to stick it to Nina—he clearly wanted to hurt her as deeply as possible, and that would certainly do it—but to expect that Carly would actually want to run Crimson? It's another example of him arranging someone else's life to his desires, the way he blithely decided to put Scout into private school without talking to her (or Sam) first. I'm also annoyed the show had Carly agree to give it a try, just because her dolt boyfriend flattered her into thinking she could do it. Putting aside the point that Carly always has to win, it's gross that the show can't have her saying no to something she wasn't really interested in doing in the first place. Women don't need a man's permission or approval or encouragement to do something, Show.
  21. Here's hoping he gives Korte and Mulcahy some room. If Mulcahy is behind the stories mentioned, I'm more than willing to stick around to see what he can do today.
  22. Carly will probably oust Laura as Mayor now. And still run the diner and be Crimson's editor.
  23. I'm glad they allowed Nina to retain a semblance of dignity and let her sneer at Drew and Carly trying to run Crimson. As always, the rank hypocrisy coming from Carly and Drew gave me a rage blackout. Ugh, I thought Carly would stick to her guns and realize she'd be a terrible editor, but Ms. I'm Independence and Don't Need Handouts let Drewfus talk her into something idiotic. Oh, god, that dumb Scott/Lucy/Tracy story is still going on? I really wish the show would drop it with no explanation and move on to something else. I can't believe Esmé is afraid of Spencer's ultra lame attempt to blackmail her. Her calling him Spence is hardly the smoking gun he thinks it is. But really, she's still out for vengeance? Zzzzz. I see entitled asshole Spencer is back. Good for Dante for putting him in his place.
