  1. Rare, but always possible. You may be thinking of Dice Game, which is limited to 1-6.
  2. Food Network has decided to put another new episode on tonight at 8 - appears to be a one-off. No decisions made by this channel make sense, whether they were for good or ill. But enjoy the show! (Also, old news but never noted in this thread - Alton hosts "Iron Chef Gauntlet" starting in Q2 2017. So it's not a relationship issue between him and the channel after all? Maybe?)
  3. It's Christmas in August, featuring everybody who's already here anyway! ;) Was excited about this but got bored about 45 minutes in and started fast-forwarding quite liberally. No big deal.
  4. I'm US and have barely ever watched Top Gear (but have followed the Clarkson drama), so I'm probably not the best marker of GT's success, but I liked it well enough. Each segment went on a bit too long, but I did enjoy the hosts' chemistry with each other and the production values were pretty fantastic. I'll probably continue to watch, mainly because I can d/l shows from Amazon and not burn up data away from home.
  5. if I was in 2nd or 3rd with a chance to win, I would've been perturbed that Alex went out of his way to make the answer so obvious.
  6. I've known the name of that song for years and years, but still somehow wrote "Space ODYSSEY" on my mythical card. Discouraging.
  7. Tregaye was a guest on The Kitchen this past weekend. It kinda felt like the cast got tired of her quickly.
  8. The end is nigh. Show's been moved again to 4 PM Sundays, just as AB announces his online Good Eats-esque show is a go via a social media vid.
  9. And now it's a MONDAY night show. Alton and FN must be having quite the spat.
  10. I liked about five minutes of this - and they all involved Jamie. I'll watch another ep ar least, but this is nowhere close to the show I was hoping it would be. Too much excess, too few bearable characters.
  11. Yep - according to my friends at Buzzerblog,
  12. GSN has begun its annual three-week event of showing What's My Line? And I've Got a Secret in the overnight hours, FYI.
  13. I believe you folks actually talking about FYI's Tiny House HuntING. I've been so confused until now.
  14. Since I don't believe this was answered: Yep. It's a bit pricy but becoming more and more common in stores with 'international' aisles.
  15. Have to agree. I still had fun at the screening I attended last night, but on the whole it's a tick or two below QoS to be my least favorite Craig Bond movie. The theme song is pretty abysmal, too.
  16. Stephen tweeted that Jimmy Kimmel's going to be his guest on the 16th as well.
  17. There are a ton of episodes of Britain's "Mock the Week" available on YouTube. It's mostly a political satire show, which may be hit-or-miss to Statesiders, but the final act is always "Scenes We'd Like To See", which is an extended run of "Scenes From a Hat" and is always a scream. The mid-show stand-up challenge is also usually great. It's produced by the same folk who created WL.
  18. The US is not sending soccer teams to Toronto.
  19. To be fair, there's lots of FN/CC talk on the "Cooking Shows" thread in genre talk, and several shows have their own forums. I don't think this thread is on most folks' radar.
  20. Ugh, ugh, ugh, Arsenal. Once again, you let me down on the biggest stage.
  21. I thought it was a bit of a stretch that every single member of this extended family had an iOS device. I'm pretty much the only relative of mine who has one. I was able to put that aside and enjoy the ep, though. Clever one-off.
  22. Jason has already tweeted that he's leaving. FWIW, The Wrap thinks Sam is staying.
  23. Press release for season 2 has just ben sent out by HBO. It confirms a 35-episode second season.
