  1. Juliette and Avery continue to save this show. Jeff was actually awesome this episode. The kid who plays Luke's son is going to be a looker one day. Andddddd I'm such a bro country fan, I'm the worst, but I really want to download the new Luke Wheeler song at the end. Damn, it's catchy. And I also just went through a breakup.
  2. I had sort of suspected Rose was Sin rostro all along so I was pleased that I was correct. Damn, she cold though. I am very happy that it did not end up being Rafael. I know the show had gone away from hinting that he was, but I was still glad to get confirmation. I've grown to really like him. Yael Grobglas does a very good job with Petra. She's become very sympathetic. Jane is so very naive. Loved her scenes with Rogelio tonight.
  3. I will say this for Jamie. Doug's parents were incredibly skeptical about her during the first show, and they seem to really like her now.
  4. I'm with you here. I wish my Redskins were smart enough to do the same. Although I hate the Patriots, they want to fucking win and they're cunning enough to figure out how to do it. Also, they knocked the Ravens out. So yay. I think Pete Carroll is an asshole of an even higher order than Belichick, which is hard to do, and damn I hate Seahawks fans. So go Pats, you cheating bastards youi
  5. I'd typically agree with you, and if I had to choose I'd rather have good pitching. Our big guns with the exception of Harper and Rendon were so embarrassing in that series. Bumgarner was possessed, but for real - from Rick Snider: So, so, so, so bad. This is ignoring Drew Storen's implosion, though. BUT STILL. VERY BAD.
  6. The Cortney/Jason scenes made me feel like I was intruding on a very personal fight. They were incredibly personal, and I felt for them.
  7. As a Nationals fan, I hate the Scherzer signing. Our rotation was tops in the NL last year - we didn't need to improve it. We couldn't hit our way out of a paper bag in the playoffs. How's that going to help us? Also, I'm doubly pissed if this prevents us from re-signing Desmond next year.
  8. Carlin was getting a little lippy towards her sister. I liked how they treated each other like normal siblings do.
  9. I got that vibe too. As insincere as Jamie strikes me at times, I don't think her issues with her mother were played up for the camera. Cortney is an amazing wife, but she needs to tell Jason what is going on with her job. I adore those two, I really hope they can make it work.
  10. Jamie doesn't need a child, she needs a therapist. It's heartbreaking, because I think her heart is in the right place, but she's got some issues she needs to work out first.
  11. I am such an ass but my first reaction was to laugh. It wasn't even like a "bless your heart" type laugh like with Nikki and JP, but a full on cackle. I found Josh really hot, but without two brain cells to rub together. Andi was just so vapid and disingenuous. And to break up two days after they walked the awkward red carpet together? LOL.
  12. Sorry, just got home after a long day. It's available On Demand under UP for Comcast but not Verizon. They confirmed the miscarriage but didn't go into detail regarding the specifics.
  13. Watching the first episode now. A few thoughts: 1. Erin and Chad have impressed me so much. Erin handled Whitney's baby shower with the maturity and genuine kindness that a lot of women with more "world experience" wouldn't be able to do. Good for her. Chad seems like a truly loving husband, and he seems to adore his wife. Also, he is pretty damn hot - especially considering some of his fundie competition. 2. Most of the Bates children are gorgeous, but Zach is looking a lot older than he is. And that's not really a compliment. 3. Parents seem to actually know their children, unlike the Duggars. 4. They served actual food at the baby shower. That would blow the Duggars mind.
  14. I don't think I've ever wanted a television character dead like I want Papa Pope dead. The scenery chewing, the monologues, the icky references to his daughter's sexual prowess. I just can't with him. Simone: the reason a Olivia didn't call Cyrus out is because, with the exception of chicken-fried Mellie these characters have a such profound lack of self-awareness I'm amazed they were able to graduate elementary school, let alone obtain high powered jobs.
  15. Can't speak for Jessa, but my brother and his wife are 23 and got married in August. She models and is used to smiling for extended periods. But my brother? You can tell which pictures were taken at the end of the cocktail hour, because the smile looks exhausted and fake. He adores her, but was ready for a drink at that point.
  16. Jessa's dress looks like this one: http://www.allurebridals.com/products/M524 From the people article: He then spoke to the crowd for several minutes about the couple's decision and asked Jessa's parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to show the wedding crowd a kiss. Glad to see MEchelle and Boob had their moment in the spotlight. tacky, tacky.
  17. Holy shit. This is the first episode I've seen, but Danielle and Muhammed make me almost too uncomfortable to watch. She won't stop touching him, it is so clear that he would never be into her, ever ever.
  18. I remember coming across this pic of Anna where I'd actualll CONSIDER wearing the dress with a slightly lower neckline to work (turtlenecks are way too uncomfortable to me). I thought the zippers were a fun touch! The purse, though, girl...http://instagram.com/p/oGTRNzOWI3/?modal=true
  19. I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but I would love to know how these girls get their hair to hold a curl. My hair is bra strap length at the longest point, and if I blow out my natural waves, my hair is completely unable to hold a curl in ANY setting for longer than 45 minutes. I assumed it was just too long, but these girls have much longer hair.
  20. Am I supposed to feel sorry for Edith? I know Mary is supposed to be cold and unfeeling ,but as it is I am sick and tired of droopy-drawers Edith, moping around and going to the Drewes univited. Do I think they should have been more caring regarding Gregson's now-confirmed death? Of course, but what are they going to do about it? Edith had no plans to tell anyone about Marigold. People have asked Edith what is wrong, and she shrugs them away. You can only do so much for someone. Maybe I'm a bit like Mary, I don't know, but I'm glad we finally got some plot movement on this because I was beyond sick of Edith turning up at the Drewes every episode and then moping away. She can't have her cake and eat it too - she can't have Marigold and her place in society. I wanted Rose with Tom, but I rather like Atticus. He seemed to have a bit of a spark with Mary as well, but I still love Charles Blake for some reason. I'm glad Isobel said yes to Lord Merton's proposal. Please don't kill the dog!
  21. Oh, you'd be surprised. The teachers I know party harder than the high schoolers they teach. I lost it with the homage to Say Anything at the end.
  22. Well, I'll give the a pass on the pregnancy storyline because Hayden is about 5' tall and was so obviously pregnant I'm not sure how they'd hide it all season. The music was good - love FGL. The whole Rayna/Luke/Deacon storyline is so dumb I am not even gonna comment.
  23. I seriously wonder if Cortney and Jason are still together. Jason does not seem ready to fully give his life over to someone else, and the previews seem to hint at that. Poor thing, Cortney seems like she would be a great catch.
  24. Jamie has to have some sort of trauma or something pretty scary in her past to behave like she does. Or maybe she could be on the spectrum? Look, I tend to lack a filter, but I regularly gasp at some of the shit that comes out of her mouth. I understand thinking some of those things, but does she have to say everything that crosses her mind? I don't think she's famewhorey or really even that manipulative. I saw shades of this same behavior in The Bachelor. She's essentially looking for an out, yes, but it's more of a defense mechanism than anything else. She's clearly terrified to appear vulnerable. I know she mentioned abuse this episode. I wonder if she has some pretty dark skeletons. Monet and fucking Vaughn. Cringe, cringe, cringe. It's such uncomfortable viewing. Every episode has them starting to make progress then starting at square one. Gah. I fear Cortney is going to get her heart broken. It's funny- in episode 1 I though that she seemed so very young, but out of all of the people involved in this experiment, financial issues aside, she seems to be the most mature. Jason just is not ready to commit fully to another person, and I fear one day he's going to wake up and really regret not giving 100% of himself to this girl.
