  1. One More Try is my favorite song of his, full stop, and he's got some great ones. Faith was actually #1 the day I was born.
  2. Guys, it may be the wine, and the fact that the CEO of my company got into my car today while I Want Your Sex was blasting via bluetooth, but I laughed my ass off at Leah's description of the Scino videos. Please end 2016.
  3. Having just re-discovered how much I love Snow Bride, I'm seeing Hallmark KILLED it in Christmas 2013, with one of my other favorites, Window Wonderland premiering that year. I feel like most of the newer movies lack the chemistry that Katrina Law/Jordan Belfi and Chyler Leigh/Paul Campbell had. Honestly, the only one I can think of from the past year that came close is Summer Villa with Hilarie Burton and Victor Webster. My other favorite pairings are the Johnathan Scarfe/Alison Sweeney, Arielle Kebbel/Andrew Walker and Autumn Reeser/Antonio Cupo. The only newer Christmas movie that has come close is last week's My Christmas Love.
  4. I forgot how much I enjoy Snow Bride. It's only an added bonus that Jordan Belfi strongly favors NYR goalie Henrik Lundqvist.
  5. So I caught last year's The Spirit of Christmas on Lifetime tonight and also quite enjoyed it, despite the premise being kind of squicky. I may have teared up once or twice - I'm such a sarcastic cynic in my "real" life that my friends are astounded that I love these movies so much. Also, I've been told I look a lot like Jen Lilley, and plausible deniability aside, I'd wait around all year for twelve days of whomever played Daniel's hot ass too.
  6. Also loved A Christmas Love. It's probably my favorite this year. I was invested in everyone's story, no wacky hijinks and the characters seemed to behave like real people. Meredith hagner reminded me of someone - I couldn't pinpoint it.
  7. I went in thinking I'd be Team Steve but damn, Matt is really hot and he's got chemistry with the entire cast. I genuinely LOLed at the fight between the guys. As a whole, this season was worlds better than last season. I struggled through last season mainly for nostalgia sake. I'm a year younger than the Olsens, and Stamos was my first crush. I like how the adults are focused on (much like earlier seasons of the OG). Jodie Sweetin remains the most charismatic, talented and real of the characters. I like the allusions to her having a real, adult life.
  8. I love the trajectory of watching Jack's dad skills improve so exponentially since early on we saw that he was "bringing their score down".
  9. Milo in this role continues to set my ovaries on fire. Best tv dad ever? He may challenge Coach Taylor. It's heartbreaking watching these traditions carry on when he isn't there.
  10. Except that adult Randall seems to be more bitter than adult Kevin. Teenage Kevin was a jackass, but most 16 year olds are when something is upsetting them. They can't maturely articulate why they're upset, so they act like assholes.
  11. I didn't buy that either. I'm a size 6 and I went on a very similar diet of awful cardboard food before a wedding and lost 3 lbs in two weeks. At that weight, the pounds would be dropping off her since she's at beginning of her journey. I'd like to echo those who see parallels in their relationships with their siblings with Kevin and Randall. My sister and I are a year and half apart and in the midst of hashing out those issues now in our late twenties. Our parents treated us both well, but very differently. My sister was jealous of certain aspects of who I am, whereas I was jealous of certain aspects of her life. In our late teens, it got ugly and we barely talked from age 20-27.
  12. Holy moly they nailed it with the teenager casting. The storyline with Kevin and Randall was so tragic because both of them are both right and wrong. i actually think Rebecca will have the affair with the guy from the band.
  13. All this. And Milo had my ovaries firing on all cylinders this episode.
  14. This show brings the laughter and the tears like none other. I cried when Jack was talking to Kate about the shirt. I laughed when Kate said that wise-brimmed hats make her look like a pacifier (and at young Kevin's line about being dead, and Jack talking about Vitamin drinks and Daytona Beach, and Kate's lines about the portfolio). i also love the show's editing and the musical score. I find myself looking forward to it each week.
  15. I also liked Pumpkin Pie Wars and how the leafs talked about their misunderstanding like adults and didn't let it drive the plot.
  16. So I tuned in because the commercials during the Olympics had me kind of intrigued, and like many of you I was looking for a network drama that wasn't about doctors/lawyers/the supernatural/superheroes. I love Milo and Mandy, and Sterling K. Brown sold me during OJ. So I figured I'd watch the pilot and if it were too hackneyed I'd then peace out. I decided I'd give a few episodes when I saw the scene with Milo and the doctor, and I genuinely laughed out loud at Alan Thicke. But the ending, I did not see coming until like many of you with the cigarettes (although I was like wow these people are ridiculous hipsters). When I realized it, I started full-on bawling. Just everything. But one thing that definitely resonated with me is that I am eight years younger than these characters, but I am EXACTLY the same age my mother was when she had me, and we've had recent conversations about it. I'm further along in my career than she was, but I'm not a happily-married homeowner, and it's been a bit tough for me to deal with lately. So yes, I will be tuning in. And I called my mother and told her to watch it tonight - I'm sure she'll be bawling too. Shallow note - Justin Hartley - YOWZA!
  17. Guys, I'm *crying* over this article: 10 Reasons Why Ryan Lochte is Actually An International Supervillian An excerpt: "In 2012, Lochte was asked in an interview what two words best describe him. “Ryan Lochte,” he said, grinning in a way that, at the time, made me want to tongue kiss him to shut him up. I’d never seen a person closer to both the apex of stupid and the apex of hot. None of us had. During those London games, the world realized simultaneously that they’d slam Ryan Lochte harder than the door of a teen who was just told Justin Bieber quit Instagram, but also, at the same time, they would not trust him with adult scissors."
  18. We have them in Ocean City, MD. We call them rent-a-cops.
  19. http://g1.globo.com/rio-de-janeiro/olimpiadas/rio2016/noticia/2016/08/video-do-posto-de-gasolina-mostra-confusao-com-nadadores-americanos.html It looks like Ryan told a partial truth. Yes, a gun was pulled on them and yes they took their money. They took their money FOR DAMAGES caused by the guys peeing everywhere and messing up a bathroom.
  20. What a disaster: ‏@mattgutmanABC #BREAKING Brazil sources: #RyanLochte + 3 swimmers fabricated robbery story. Video shows swimmer "fighting" w/security at gas station @GMA
  21. Well if anyone had any doubt in their mind (me!) it's fair to say Lochte's gotta be done after this.
