The pain and suffering of dysgeographica has yet to be addressed! My family mocks me as if I'm doing it on purpose, but given the opportunity, I will always turn the wrong way and get lost. I tell myself to go the way I'm sure is wrong, but then I just can't because I'm positive I'm right this time. Yeah, yeah look at the sun, but on pain of death, I still could not tell you which way is north or west or anything. My directional brain is backwards, you guys.

Three episodes later and zero comments. I'd almost feel sorry for Marc except I've been fast-forwarding through most of this season myself. Do not care at all about the rehab crap. I watched all of episode 5 because I like Sally Kellerman but it was, as usual, depressing and unfunny. At least Marc is out of rehab and shaved his beard. Hopefully his life will eventually take a slight upturn. Sally Struthers next week!

It tickled me that Hillary was the second tier guest, just because political candidates are so commonplace on talk shows now. Super fun episode, especially the bits with Kate McKkinnon's impressions of Ellen and Hillary and the vice president edition of Who'd You Rather. I also liked the bathing suits.

I suppose this could just as easily be in unpopular opinions, but I've been rewatching Star Trek: Voyager and love it a lot. Janeway is also my favorite captain. During Voyager's original run I was living overseas with only one channel of American TV and watched because it was there but I remember enjoying it, especially after Seven of Nine was added to the cast. Now that I've also caught (thanks, streaming services!) on similar shows such as Next Generation, Enterprise, Deep Space Nine, the Stargate series, Battlestar Galactica and Babylon 5, I still prefer Voyager. I like every one of the characters, which isn't the case with other shows, and am drawn in by the warmer tone.

This was decades ago before VCRs, but my boyfriend was sick with the flu one week and for reasons I now don't recall, was staying at my apartment. In return for taking care of him, I told him he needed to watch All My Children and give me a daily summary. Of course he then got hooked on it himself. Which is to say that -- given good casting -- I'd enjoy hearing the opinions of a couple of straight guys who were forced to watch Housewives and similar shows, even if their comments were just snark.

My delight at having a nice person win -- particularly on a show where the contestants are urged to be belligerent, posturing assholes -- has waned somewhat with the realization that Christian was screwed. If the judges had been deciding and if the chest pieces had been up first, Anthony might have been SOL. I think the judges would have put him through if the sleeves had been judged first. Not for nothing, but Anthony has a lot of women's faces in his photo gallery and seems to gravitate towards those. Overall, his portraits are excellent. I'm curious about how he ended up where he did, now that we know he had a hard time finding anyone to mentor him. The Facebook page for Metro Tattoo only had a handful of congratulatory comments for Anthony. Can someone help me understand Christian's sleeve tattoo? The left hand on the main ballerina appears to be a demon claw. Is that supposed to be the arm of Pan (?) who's holding her? And btw, her right hand is small and poorly formed -- what is it with hands that apparently makes them so difficult? The artists can put minute details into the folds of clothing and faces and can tattoo elaborate and finely drawn mandelas or the like but fingers completely stump them?

As usual in my life, I avoided doing the arithmetic but if Mallory and Brianna are supposed to be in their early thirties, Gracie had them around 37-39. Which isn't unusual in general but I think would have been for this particular traditional couple. Grace was married at 25. She could have been devoting herself to starting her business, I suppose. Frankie and Sol could have adopted at any age but also waited until they were in their late thirties, which could plausibly have been after years of trying. We do know that Bud is 32. It also means that Sol and Robert started their affair when their kids were in elementary school.

I LOVED FOZZIE! What a fun episode, and without any many sex jokes.

That was pretty funny even though it prompted bad flashbacks to my own furniture assembly blunders. I'm not trying to be unkind, but the show promotes these folks as being among the best home sewers in the nation, and I refuse to believe that. The alteration challenge was horrifying in general and I don't know what the judges were snorting to give the win to Jamie's excrescence. But the contestants rallied for the final skirt and most did a good job, so maybe the maternity dresses themselves were to blame. Blind judging, my ass, if Tracey's always going to insert a contrasting patterned material into a solid color overall fabric (see: her own blouse). Rumana is gorgeous.

Loved Brad Paisley's bathroom gender song! Maybe I need to stop fast-forwarding past his interviews if he's always this funny.

Yay prom! At least Pat got some chocolate fountain action. I was kind of expecting Eileen and Pat to have one nostalgic dance but was glad the show didn't go there. I love VP Murray and Eileen's irresistible-despite-her-better-judgment attraction to him. I thought I should check out the actor Matt Oberg's other work but yikes. Heart of Dixie is not doable for me. Love this show and am looking forward to the new season!

I thought Christian deserved to go through to the final two but am so happy for Anthony! Chest pieces -- I'm not a particular fan of American Traditional but loved Christian's art. I thought it had the most impact and fit the canvas' body better than the other two. Cleen's had some wonderful details but the image being a collage meant it wasn't as visually cohesive. Good for Anthony for turning out a fantastic piece in a style he wasn't that comfortable with, but there was too much red for me and I agreed with Peck about the head not being outlined enough, although I really liked the way the dragon's body and scales rippled with the canvas's movements. Sleeves -- Anthony's sleeve may be one of my favorite tattoos I've seen on the show. Strong colors, clear message. I liked the imagery and muted shading on Christian's but would have placed him third since I thought Cleen's had more overall impact. Sausage vs Matti -- I liked both of them for different reasons but would have grudgingly given the win to Sausage, the little weasel. The haphazard and indiscriminate audience voting was ridiculous. The show couldn't even spring for a rickety applause meter? Matti should have made Sausage put that tattoo on his ass. I appreciated Dave sticking to the judging criteria and voting for Cleen because Anthony hadn't finished (even if it was rigged that way for maximum suspense). The contestants not being allowed to react until Dave declares who won, even though they can hear the judges' vote, continues to be silly. After announcing the winner, Peck made an odd gesture with closed eyes and hands up to the sky, as if he was thanking God for ... something. That the season was over, maybe.

What a delight Candace is. She was so natural and comfortable with James and JJ and even making the video -- it's impossible for most people to record themselves like that without coming off as stiff, or try-hard, or awkward. She should be Kelly Ripa's new co-host!

I'm rooting for the guy but can't even give him credit as a good entertainer. The backing drummer and guitarist seemed like they were having more fun on White Room that he was; guy stood there like a stump, vaguely nodding his head with the beat.

So basically Bernie is willing, even eager, to cause dissension and turmoil in an entire political party -- and perhaps hand the election to the Republicans -- all in service of his own ego. A few months ago I would have been fine with either him or Clinton as the nominee but the shrewdly conniving way he's running his campaign has been eye-opening. If he genuinely wanted to be President to try to affect positive change, he would have stayed in his lane, remained true to his stated values, and run as an Independent. The guy has bought into his own hype big time.

That was deliberately cheesy, right? I've been known to give up on shows in the first couple of minutes, but I grimaced my way through that out of curiosity.

Thanks for the summary, SoCal Mema. I imagine Ellen has a say in which guests are booked, so inviting him in the first place still seems very weird to me. I genuinely believe the guy's mentally ill. Be interesting to see if she ever invites him back.

I assume we'll find out why the entity didn't explode Jesse the way it did the other preachers? The suggestion is that it found something different in him, although neither of the other two preachers were portrayed as charlatans or con men. Perhaps Jesse has an innate power or strength of character that the others did not. It's also possible that the entity was drawn to Jesse's supposed dark side. Either way, I'm curious enough to watch for a while and see how it all shakes out.

It looked like pink candy popcorn? The Zenos have the best snacks, Julie and Brandy drink the most alcohol, Ayn drops the most crumbs, and the guys are so abstemious I'm surprised they don't get dehydrated. From full styrofoam takeout meals to baby carrots, I'm always intrigued! As someone who has lived in an apartment with heavy walkers above, I appreciated Amanda shouting at the ceiling this week. I thought I could almost hear some noise through the TV but was probably imagining it.

Maybe I don't like Maria as much as is needed to get into this, but my interest trailed off after four episodes. I enjoyed the wacky lambs-as-people, breaking the third wall, and other random flights of fancy, but the show as a whole doesn't really hold together for me. I think I was pulling for the character to succeed, but her horrible friends and recurring failures made me sad. Her parents are awful to her, too. I found myself wishing Maria would use her low-talking date voice all the time; it was much more palatable to me than her normal squeakiness. I may watch the rest of the series at some point just to see which other guest stars show up, but I'd have to be pretty bored.

@rcc, sounds like we're on different schedules. The episode of Dr. Chris that aired in the U.S. featured a bulldog that needed surgery to help with this breathing and the staff urging Dr. Chris to adopt one of their rescue cats. Next week is about a sea turtle and a shitzu. Dr. Thielen on Exotic Animal ER sure gave some shade to the marmoset's owner: "Although #10 comes from a breeder, it's still an animal that needs our help." Sad outcome. Were the masks and gloves to protect the animal, the staff, or both? I guess I never thought it through that we can share diseases with other primates. And by the way, that's an awfully long "internship" Dr. T is doing. I would hope she's been hired on staff by now. Using the therapeutic honey on the bearded dragon's prolapse reminded me of a story in All Creatures Great and Small about how Dr. Herriott used granulated sugar to help reduce the swelling of a prolapsed uterus in cows.
