  1. Regarding the hair: I've never particularly liked Tangerine. Too many misses in terms of hair color and to me, it feels as if they're struggling with finding a different hairstyle for the girls if they can't give them the typical long, wavy DCC look. And talking about changes: How about banning those awful wigs? It works for some of the girls, but to most...just no. Kat comes to mind now. I'd love to see how she looks as a DCC with her natural hair done up by a professional. Does anyone know what happened to the old salon? Why did they switch to Tangerine in the first place? The scene where they were struggling with Jinelle's hair and Derek stepping in to save the day, will always be one of my favorite scenes in the make-over section!
  2. Christine is good at giving socially acceptable answers. She says what she should be saying according to her culture and family beliefs. Her open, emotional and rather impulsive character often betrays her, exposing her true feelings. I honestly believe she wanted back to Utah for a long time, but wasn’t supposed to say so. Maybe not, but he can’t possibly be worse than Kody and because of that I give him a pass.
  3. Robyn is married to Gwen’s dad and thus officially her step mom. Such a position comes with certain obligations toward your husband’s biological children, especially because she was invited, so she should have been there. But that’s my opinion…. I suddenly had to think back to the very frosty and hostile atmosphere at Christine’s farewell. The ugly looks full of contempt on Aurora’s and Breanna’s faces still make me wonder what really happened between Christine’s and Robyn’s families that we know nothing of. It’s that, or Robyn has both girls poisoned to the core with stories of how the rest of the family despise them. Which could be why they refused to come.
  4. Almost all the kids, apart from Leon, have always said they would not choose polygamy themselves. Kids often choose a different path from their parents. The Janelle-Christine clan was close and they seemed happy growing up together and most are still close. They wouldn't have had it without polygamy. I don't necessarily think it was Kody's choice for polygamy, but his choice to treat their moms so horribly over the past 5 years or so, especially doing that in public. And the tv show of course. It has regressed from a family show to the sad, sorry thing it is now. Kody is truly airing the dirty laundry here. I'm sure the kids hate to see this. As for the OG kids detaching themselves from Kody: It's strange to see how Mykelti now seems to be the closest of them all. Teen Mykelti would have given anything to get out and run as far as she could! She wasn't close to Christine and constantly clashed with Kody over all kinds of things.
  5. sparkle pony......hysterical!😂 I can't stop laughing here!
  6. Well, what can we say? This reply was to be expected I guess... Kody is perfect and never wrong. It's always somebody else's fault. I find such persons quite scary to be honest. It shows how detached these people are from reality and are living in their own bubble...
  7. Unless of course, TLC isn't willing to pay for it?🤔 It wouldn't surprise me if the Browns were told their show is coming to an end after this season since there's no longer a polygamous family to follow, so she might need the money, freebies and media attention.Just me logically thinking here: If TLC were to pay for it, there's no reason to grift.
  8. Proving it to herself is more likely. She'd known for a long time that she wasn't on the favorite list. And Robyn's entrance made Kody's behavior even worse. Not even "the gift" of a new child could bring Kody back to her. People in similar situations don't have much self-confidence or self-worth. They're hopelessly insecure. New love can cure a lot but that takes time too. I hope she's sincerely in love with David and not in love with the feeling of having a decent guy treating her right. And she is flaunting it to Kody, he made it painfully obvious that she'd never find any other guy if she dumped him.
  9. True, a marriage after a few months of dating can be as successful as a marriage after a few years of dating. But we all know that every relationship is perfect in the early stages. A few years would have given both the chance to really get to know each other: the good and the bad. And that’s extra important when it involves kids. If this relationship fails, it is also going to affect Truely (again!) and that’s what annoys me in this rushing. Christine is not just deciding for herself, she is deciding for Truely too. If she gets it wrong, it is going to hurt Truely all over again.
  10. Valley Health care Systems seems civilian. That really does surprise me, to be honest. Hunter graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2020, which comes with an obligation to serve 5 years in active duty and 3 in the reserve. Technically, he should still be serving and the military is depending heavily on civilian doctors and nurses to keep everything staffed. So, I’m not quite getting why he seems to work in a civilian hospital and not in a military facility. Anyway, I’m glad he managed to take care of himself, got a good education and found a good job without being in debt. Makes you wonder where he got that from! The work ethic could be Janelle’s, but neither Kody nor Janelle are known for sensible financial decisions!
  11. Kody and Sobyn would likely disagree stating that she does “work”. She’s a reality tv star after all and “runs” that epic failure of a joolry business. Not that anyone else considers packing up 2 necklaces a month (me guessing obviously) or being trailed by a cameraman (whilst doing nothing) work….
  12. Good question…don’t know about medical professions. I’ve never heard of this but am aware of some moonlighting in security (bouncers at night clubs) but that’s only done with the military’s approval and not that common. A lot depends on your rank and military duties. The more I think about it, the less likely it seems to me that Hunter is working in a civilian hospital. The one exception being an internship within a specific medical field that cannot be done in a military facility. The opposite happens a lot though: civilians working for the military, particularly in medical facilities.
  13. Are we sure it was the first time she met the twins? I didn’t get that idea from her post, just that she was happy to see them and have some baby cuddles. But maybe I missed something here. As for the RV: I hope she still has it and hope she paid for it in full and not through a loan. If she were to sell it, she may have enough for a down payment to a modest apartment. Fortunately, Janelle isn’t as demanding as Robyn and Meri when it comes to housing. She’d be perfectly fine with a small place of her own, which could be all she can afford at the moment.
  14. This! And he allegedly sells semi-automatic guns. That leads me to believe that he is either absolutely ignorant or deliberately turning a blind eye to all dangers involved as he apparently stores a lot of it at home. Not even in a safe area??
  15. Lots of people vent their anger and disappointment in life on others. It’s not fair of course, but it’s the easiest way. (Not that I approve of it) Tori loves her kids, but I’m sure she’d hoped things would turn out differently when she got pregnant. I’ve wondered whether reality (no pun intended) has finally caught up with Tori? Has she finally realised how big the challenges are that lie ahead of them and that life isn’t going to be easy? You could argue she could have known from Matt and Amy, but their TLC show certainly made a lot of things easier for them. There was a good and constant cashflow, a big house that was customized to their needs, no reason to find a normal job with its own challenges and no one had to work particularly hard. Whether her kids’ future will be similar toZach’s remains to be seen. I doubt it though.
  16. Kody seems to hate Utah and he has said a number of times that he’d never move back to Utah again. Hence me saying “out of the question”☺️
  17. Well, with everything Meri’s been through, whether she deserved it or not, she has done fairly well with getting where she is now. I’ll give her that. She had a huge, ‘close’ family and thus a big social network. That’s all gone. I may not agree with all her choices, particularly those idiotic retreats, but I respect her for trying to get her life back on track on her own. And that at her age. It’s hard when you’re young but it’s getting harder and harder as you grow older. And yes, her behaviour is odd and concerning at times. She could do with a good counselor/psychologist to deal with the ghosts from her past. Possibly even with some of the behavioural things we see today. I think a lot stems from past experiences, though part is also because of who she is: A sour, self-centered woman, with a mean personality and fairly limited social skills.
  18. Military family here: salaries are solely based on ranks and years of service. An officer in the logistics department will get the same wages as an officer of equal rank in e.g. ATC. There are extra allowances for when you deploy or in shifts (though not always, depending on what field you’re in) Medical personnel, personnel in ATC and flight crews make way less money in the armed forces compared to their civilian counterparts. So, why do they choose for this career path? Simple: The forces pay for college/your training, you have a guaranteed job (which can be hard in aviation) you gain a lot of experience, there’s free health care and guaranteed housing. Most will eventually retire once they have fulfilled their obligations towards the military and move on to better paid, regular jobs in civilian life. Hope this clarifies a lot. Not sure if Hunter’s still in the USAF. I’d say he is, as he will be obliged to serve for a number of years after graduating if the USAF paid for it. He could be temporarily assigned to a civilian hospital for a number of reasons, including specialised medical training.
  19. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was a whole lot of truth in it, despite this coming from the Sun. (Not the potential new SW bit, though) Flagstaff has brought Kody nothing but misery, he never stays anywhere long, the mansion and CP are a financial disaster in the making. A move would solve all that and could be new reality tv fodder. And of course Robyn doesn’t want to move! The bit about Kody treating Robyn horribly, is interesting. Per all accounts we unearthed, it seemed true love. But I wouldn’t put it past Kody to pile all his misery on Robyn, including blaming her for everything that went wrong. They must have had a few very stressful years from what we could see and read. Such things take their toll on any marriage. I don’t think Robyn is going to leave btw. She has nothing to gain and everything to loose. Kody no longer has Janelle to run to, so maybe that’s why he’s travelling so much now; it’s an easy escape. But if they do move, where would they go? Not sure about the Sun’s suggestion of LV. But Kody always loved it (LV was his choice back then) He knows the area. Utah seems out of the question, so maybe back to Wyoming or Montana again. The latter might convince Robyn as Dayton allegedly wants to head that way.
  20. About Gwen's new confessional: It's probably all true. I tend to believe it anyways. It's what we suspected after all, but it certainly feels as if she is trying to settle some scores now. But I do struggle with this statement: They're not gonna be salty or petty and try to take money from him even though they totally deserve it because he's been spending all of their money on whatever.' It does show an immature or very ignorant side of Gwen; she obviously has no clue how much money Janelle has lost to that Douchebag and what it means for her future. The inheritance alone was close to half a million dollars and Douche has blown her retirement funds. Trying to get some of that back is not about being petty or salty, particularly when he 'comfortably' lives in a big house with another wife. That money would have helped her a lot in her retirement. She seems to be earning a pretty decent amount now with shilling that horrible Plex-ass, but she had to start from scratch financially in her early fifties, which is late for a comfortable and early retirement.
  21. Oh absolutely! I suspect they literally lived from paycheck to paycheck). when there is none, you either burn through savings, retirement funds or remortgage your house. There really isn’t a longterm vision or whatsoever. It is remarkable how well Christine has done compared to the rest. Buying a house in Flagstaff which she sold at a profit, instead of wasting a lot on expensive rents like the rest seemed key. The MLMs work for her now and seem to provide her with a good and steady income. And while I agree with you that it could wane anytime, it is as ‘temporarily’ as any job. Twitter now comes to mind: Leaving the office on Friday night, not knowing you’d be locked out and without a job over the weekend….. who would have thought that? Yet it has happened to thousands recently.
  22. What money? He has already burned her entire inheritance and retirement funds. And what was left of the family money is locked up in the Wasteland and Robyn's twice-remortgaged mansion...Let's hope that she sees some of the money back through a potential sale of Coyote Pass.
  23. I have little doubt that Robyn assumed it would be a huge success and she leaned heavily on the other wives’ support. The whole dynamics was odd. The business was doomed from day one, when potential investors found numerous flaws in their business plan. Neither Kody, nor Robyn took these warnings seriously, and pushed their ideas through. The other wives quickly realised the investors were right, but were forced into the fambly business. I cannot really fault Meri here as her heart really wasn’t into it. I fully agree about Meri’s general attitude though. She bucked against anything if it wasn’t her brain child or if there were no immediate benefits for her. She’s not a team player.
  24. Maddie and Caleb are not blood-related. Iirc, one of Kody’s brothers was married to Caleb’s sister, which makes them related through marriage only. There is indeed a lot of speculation on inbreeding in Utah, but from a logical point of view it must have happened in many places. Particularly in times when there were lots of huge families and people were bound to a fairly small geographical region. Think of towns where people have lived for many generations. It’s not necessarily bad, as long as you’re not too closely related and don’t have too many shared ancestors. It tends to become tricky when those common ancestors share genes for specific (rare) genetic diseases or when families marry relatives for several generations.
