  1. https://people.com/sister-wives-domino-effect-toppled-kody-brown-marriages-exclusive-7643529 Quote from Robyn: "No one should be married while they're going through a divorce" Huh? Is this another great example of the infamous Brown logics? How the heck can you divorce when not married? or when I interpret it slightly differently: Remarry when still in the process of getting divorced? Am I the big idiot here? (Which is possible: no native speaker and it is 1.30 am here in Europe, so my brains have already gone to bed...)
  2. Some threads were renamed over the past few months but what about this one? Robyn Brown her sister wives have a closet. Which sister wives? She no longer has any, so maybe it's time to rename this one too?
  3. I know some of my fellow posters have mixed feelings about David's intentions toward Christine. Is it true love or is he mainly after fame and the opportunities it could bring? It could be, he wouldn't be the first, but... it could be as simple and genuine as someone falling desperately in love with someone who brings a shitload of baggage and/or a way of living that will immensely impact your own if you follow your heart. Think of people who fall in love with people from another country, or those with jobs whichhave a huge impact on your future (married) lives. It could well be that all this exposure is not his (first) choice, but it comes with being with the woman he loves and he seems ok with that. Also, like someone else pointed out: It's mainly Christine who constantly throws pictures and news of them all over the internet. Whether his intentions are true or not...only future will tell. For now, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.
  4. This! She is doing stuff that ordinary people do, people who do not have a reality show as they lead a perfectly normal life. (Which is great btw!) People watch because there is something very different from the lives they lead. I really don't think she is trying to hold anything back for the show. They never have and have constantly spilled all the beans on SM themselves. I really think that Janelle fills most of her days with relaxing, hanging out, cooking or traveling to see her kids. (And shilling Plexus, which like LIV water, probably cannot be discussed on the show)
  5. If Janelle's postings of the past 12 months are any indication of the future contents of SW, it is going to be a show that is beyond boring! I mean.... a post on buying black berries? Really? Yes they are amazing, but is this the most exiting part of your life at the moment? The same goes on all her cooking attempts and fairly basic dishes. (Soaking beans now comes to mind!) Do we need more proof that there really isn't anything exciting about this bunch anymore?
  6. I see your point and I'm afraid you're right about not cancelling. But that really leaves me wondering about future content once Christine is married and Janelle and Meri have settled somewhere. You can't build a reality tv show around ordinary people who are living a normal life. And that's what they all have become. You need drama or a special lifestyle. I'm sure TLC is aware of that, so either they are working toward a close of the series or they're trying to conjure up some new drama. I also suspect that they were (and maybe still are) hoping that one of the kids will have enough reality appeal to start a spin off. I have seen mentions of Mykelti doing so, but that leaves me with the same question: What makes her life reality tv worthy? How is the life she is currently leading any different from other young families?
  7. Absolutely 100% to wanting a real relationship that is hers alone (i.e. a monogamous one, without a bunch of sister wives). But private? No. She may be bound to TLC when it comes to the show and being filmed, but whatever she posts on SM, which is a lot, is her own doing. Christine doesn't do private; she shares....
  8. In Kody's thread I read several posts about Robyn's infamous note on the fridge. I'm wondering: did it really specifically refer to all the other kids (meaning her own kids were free to grab whatever they needed?) I can understand a note on the fridge if it applies to all: My three kids empty my fridge and pantry with the speed of light, and I often found myself missing out on essentials, or stuff that I specifically bought for a meal or dessert, which was very annoying. Snacks and cookies are an absolute nightmare! So, as a rule they now have to ask. Not because they need permission, but because it helps me to keep track of where the food goes☺️ So from Robyn's point of view, I get a note. But specifically excluding other kids within your family, particularly if you profess to be their mom too, that's beyond me!
  9. In my opinion, it says a lot about him. He could have chosen the limelight to tell his side of the story, but he chose not to, remaining an almost dignified silence. It definitely spared his kids the humiliation of witnessing a very public fight. I’m not saying this guy is a saint as there are usually two sides to a story. But we have seen enough on tv to at least question some of what Robyn has said. Also, no mom would send her kids to their dad on a holiday if he truly was that dangerous and awful. I also seem to recall a recent rumor about Dayton possibly relocating to Montana to be closer to his real dad??
  10. Forget about her extensive filtering: THIS is truly worrying!
  11. They’re finally broadcasting earlier seasons where I live. (6 was the earliest I ever watched) Am currently watching season 4 and the film quality baffles me. It’s not sharp and slightly blurry. Has anyone else experienced this too? At first I thought it had to do with having a 4K tv and older film, but my husband pointed out that we watch lots of stuff that is pre-2010 and they’re not nearly as bad as this.
  12. Jenna danced professionally for a long time and she's getting married this September. I guess it makes sense to retire now.
  13. It could be that most of them started to eat healthier after moving out? Christine was brilliant in cooking “child-friendly” food that could be produced fast and in huge quantities, but wasn’t necessarily the healthiest. Veggies were often lacking and I hardly ever saw them eat fruit either. It’s not meant to condemn Christine btw. In the early years money was tight and they had lots of mouths to feed. Fruit and veggies are notoriously expensive (at least where I live) whereas less healthy food items are a lot cheaper. And yes, they had more money to spend in later years, but teens, especially boys, eat a lot. Janelle’s weekly grocery shopping receipt must have been horrendous with those 4 growing boys!
  14. I agree @Rabbit Hutch that excessive use of filtering is worrying. Meri is busy creating a virtual version of the woman she wants to be. And while doing so, she is focusing on all her perceived flaws. That’s even more damaging for your self-esteem. It’s not just her looks; it’s everything. Virtual Meri is beautiful, happy, smart, successful with a lot of friends. Yet I suspect that her real life is very empty and unfulfilling, though she seems to be doing ok in her professional life. She really needs help if you ask me….
  15. This made me laugh so hard! But yeah, you’re spot on! Add to that the frumpy clothes and Nellie’s angry and dishonest looks!
  16. This is what I suspect. The Browns used to be AUB, which is a pretty conservative/fundamentalist cult. I don't think AUB beliefs allow for gay marriages or being gay or trans in general. Kody made plenty of comments during the show which tell me that he is still pretty conservative in his thinking, particularly when it involves women or relationships. So, I don't think he really approves but he knows he cannot voice it because of all the backlash it would cause.
  17. Well said @Orcinus orca! Being late is rude and shows little respect toward the one(s) you are supposed to meet. There's virtually no excuse, unless there is an actual (medical) emergency in your family or if you have an accident on the way. In most instances, it simply has to do with ill preparation. Make sure all is ready the day before, and plan more than enough time for traveling. (Yes, it could mean killing a few hours nearby which is highly preferable over being late) And yes, it could be Robyn's fault, but it wouldn't surprise me if Kody was in no particular hurry either!
  18. In Meri's defense (which is unique!) She mentioned that she did not post any pictures of the wedding until the couple did so themselves. That's a pretty considerate thing to do and something I really respect. Especially now, where news spreads in minutes. I know how it feels when somebody runs off with your big news, long before you're ready to share. Not many people think of such things before posting, yet Meri did. Meri .....Of all people! Who would have thought that?
  19. Agree, I think it comes with quite a bit of responsibility and you’ll need a lot of respect and support from your team mates. GL often lead and assist at training nights, so you’ll need to be able to teach too. There are plenty examples of younger/less senior team mates being selected over older veterans. JennK particularly comes to mind here who became a second leader in her 2nd year.
  20. Christine……!! That outfit on Gwen’s wedding…. It’s a NO. A huge NO. Please find another consultant the next time you go party or dress shopping. Find something that does justice to the beautiful woman you are. The huge over exposure of sun burned skin (again!)around your chest is not beautiful and simply not appropriate on a wedding. Most definitely not as the mother of the bride. I also feel you should stop shopping in the teenage/young adult department. Not saying you cannot be sexy and beautiful, but there are way better options out there to make a 51-year-old woman the (sexy)star of the show. That jumpsuit is more suitable for one of your daughters. With the choices you’re currently making, you’d easily qualify for the reality show “Hotter than my daughter” and that’s not a good sign!
  21. I’ll start with admitting that it is hard to attend all big family event like weddings when you’re one of 18 kids. Time-wise, financially and logistically, 18 (possible) weddings is a huge nightmare. But I still think it’s awkward to miss your sibling’s wedding. (Not meaning Paedon’s absence here obviously). Maddie had plenty of time to work out the practical side of attending. She could even have left Caleb at home with the kids and flown in and out within 24 hours. Maybe I’m just biased. Maddie isn’t on my favorite Brown-kid list. I’ve always found her very self-centered, which is why I’m ‘happy’ to assume she opted the easy way out.
  22. Much has been said about the infamous Cassie-Taylor confrontation and yes, you're absolutely right about Queen Cassie. She was in no position to say what she said and it was appalling to see how she enjoyed bashing Taylor. Taylor received quite a bit of goodwill from this forum over the years, but I'm struggling to see what some of you are seeing. I see an immature and rude girl with little respect for authority. And what annoyed me most, was her general attitude toward Training Camp. The way she shrugged off advice or blatantly ignored it was annoying and it must have been terrible to those who were taking camp very seriously. Cassie ranks high in my top 10 of least favorite MTT candidates, but I'm afraid Taylor is not far behind...
  23. True, but this is the Brown family. If anything, SW has shown us how “creative” they can be with their admin and finances. We’ve discussed their admin and finances at length and it seems really complicated. These people live in the here and now and make decisions based on what’s best now with little or no regard for the future. Again, there are multiple examples of this when it comes to the Browns. Therefore, I’m anything but sure that Christine had sorted out anything in case she’d ever become a single mom (for whatever reason) Luckily for her, she seems to have got things covered now.
  24. Yes, I'm sure Christine really believes in Plexus. And probably in no small part because she actually feels and looks better since she's started using it. She's living proof of the Plexus Magic, so of course she wants to give others the chance to feel the same! (We all know that curing herself from the nasty Kody infection is the real reason, but she's conveniently ignoring that)
