  1. I always felt that Kody wasn’t too actively encouraging his kids (particularly the girls) to go to college because of the costs. He wasn’t too thrilled about any of the boys pursuing a military career either until he realised it was a cheap way to get them started on a professional level/a career. I’m not sure if it explains several of the kids not finishing or even starting college. (Hunter, Logan and Garrison seem to be doing fine. Not sure what Aspyn or Gabe do at the moment) But their dad does tend to act on impulse and has a tendency to abandon ship when things get complicated and do something else? So, maybe it’s more about genes or how they were raised?
  2. Hilarious; yes. Disrespectful;yes. Understandable; absolutely! First, there is nothing wrong with asking to show some respect and good manners but TPTB pushed it a little too far in my humble opinion. They were treated like young girls, not the young adults they were. The childish approach really got on my nerves. And how the the group always responded in chorus with those high-pitched voices with “yes ma’m!” That’s an elementary school practice! Second, I completely agree with your take on “joking and talking amongst the DCC”. The weight goals are ridiculous and must have been a struggle. The girls know and this must have been how they dealt with it. I mean….calling a 5ft 7 girl with 120 lbs overweight? Or saying that a 5ft 2 girl typically weighs 104lbs? What else can you do? Cry? Laugh? Or joke about it and move on?
  3. I don’t know anything about a mean girl incident either. But when both Tara and Savannah auditioned as rookies, they apparently shared little else than coming from the Jets Flight Crew. It was discussed at lengths online that they weren’t friends but “made to look like bff’s” for the show….
  4. It made me wonder what vows are said at AUB wedding ceremonies... But in most wedding ceremonies, you pledge to have and to hold, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health. (or something fairly similar) That definitely includes emotional well-being and mental health struggles. It's interesting to note how a guy who went through commitment ceremonies 4 times, can so conveniently forget about such promises. (5 if you count Robyn's legal marriage)
  5. Yes, it's typical isn't it? She has an opinion on everything, until she has to speak out. She has great ideas until she has to help materialise them and as soon as she actually has to take part into something, she's pulling out. (I suddenly had to think of that 5K run with Janelle where she couldn't join her because of an alleged back injury....)

    Mykelti

I’m generally in your camp with this wedding stuff. With a bunch of kids in the same age bracket, there’s a big chance of having more than 1 wedding in 1 year. And yes, Maddie is the golden child that often got best. I don’t think she was wrong to announce her engagement at the time (at such age, there will inevitably be more people with wedding plans and you can’t always take that into consideration) But in my opinion, she did cross a line with setting her wedding only a few months after Maddie. They were all busy planning Maddie’s big day and suddenly Mykelti dashes in, demanding the same courtesy time and attention because she had so little time to prepare. That wasn’t fair on Maddie nor Janelle. Postponing it for another 4 months would have made a huge difference but she refused to even think about it.

    Mykelti

Yep…in case anyone had doubts, Mykelti truly is Kody Brown’s daughter! This sounds exactly like one of the idiotic things Kody could preach. What a shame, I had such high hopes for Mykelti….
  8. Keep on dreaming Robyn! A leopard never changes its spots! Some time within the next few years, he’ll want to move again. It’s how he is and how he has always been. It’s one of the biggest mistakes lots of women make with a guy: He’ll change for me, because I’m different. He won’t…(Though I agree he has done more for her than for all his 3 exes combined.) I really suspect they’ll have to sell the mansion at one point as it will become too expensive: either through another balloon payment like Vegas or because he has to buy out Meri and Janelle. (Which would be a Perfect excuse to relocate!) In theory, they could survive this by selling Coyote Pass. But CP is not 100% owned by them as Janelle and Meri also own (a smaller) part of it. Also, not all parcels were paid for in full as some found out. And, me speculating here, I do question the state of the ones that were paid for as I strongly suspect those paid for with other loans (that will need to be paid off again too at one point). That leaves the McMansion which has increased a lot in its value over the past few years. That may be their luck but don’t forget they’ve already taken out a lot of money over the past few years! So yeah, I can definitely see a move coming! Which might even be something to keep the show running for one more season!
  9. Now that's interesting..... Dayton moving back.... Particularly if it is indeed Montana. It's where he is from and where his evil dad lives. Now why would he want to do that instead of hanging around in Flagstaff in mom's clutches? Is it because his mom and Kody drive him nuts? Or is dad not as bad as mommy dearest wants us to believe?
  10. Oh yes, and particularly when it comes to looks and body shape. Women can be absolutely relentless toward other women, especially when it's about making yourself feel better or eliminating competition. (I'm thinking Robyn and her horrible comments about her ex-sister wives' looks now)
  11. Ha! That would be funny! I’d probably tune in for that too, or to see how Kody and Robyn are forced to sell the mansion (to pay off Meri and Janelle) and are out hunting for an old and affordable RV.
  12. Agree, when you’re in constant pain and run the risk of trapped nerves or ruining your posture, most insurances will comply and cover the surgery. But yes, it is interesting to note how the Browns always end up with huge hospital bills after all they’ve been through. Christine seems to have finally gotten the message and sorted out a health insurance, yet somehow she managed again to rake up a hefty hospital bill!
  13. Hmm….4-6K for 1 person to spend a couple of days with Meri in a dusty and old B&B in the middle of nowhere with this Michelin Star meal or spend 5 days in the ultra luxurious surroundings of one of Dubai’s most famous and luxurious hotels for the same amount (with hubby and kids and all meals included) I can’t choose! This is so hard….What would you recommend?🤔
  14. I think you’re right with this show coming to a close (though I can see a spin-off rising from the dust with maybe some of the kids) But to answer your question “What is left to show?” I’d say how they’re all creeping out of this train wreck and how they’re going to move on. That would bring their imploded dream to a natural close. Christine went to Utah this season and it will be interesting to see what Janelle and Meri are going to do. I’d love to have another one-off show in about 5 years to see how they’re all doing. And to find out if, and how Kody and Robyn have managed to keep their mansion😉
  15. Lots of things have been said about Paedon and his bullying. Bullying is unacceptable in any circumstances, that goes without saying. The same goes for any form of (physical) abuse in any form. I do believe Paedon crossed those lines when growing up. But…. there are a few sides to these accusations that I feel need to be addressed too. Particularly when it comes to his victims: Dayton, Breanna, Aurora and Gwen. First, we all know how Robyn’s kids can do no harm and are victimised by Kody and Robyn. They’re excluded, never given a fair chance etc. The others are always wrong, they’re too perfect. Now I’m not saying Paedon didn’t do anything, but I do wonder about what he actually did and whether he was the only Brown kid. And was it really bullying, or was it another of Robyn’s perceptions on how the family treated them? A stare in their direction could be enough to set them all off! We all know how Robyn’s truths are different from the others and Aurora and Breanna are mini-Robyns and heavily influenced by her thinking. Second, Gwen: I’ve watched all seasons and on numerous times, people have commented on Gwen’s habit to rub people the wrong way. Or her tendency to get on people’s nerves and be (unintentionally) hurtful. A recent examination revealed ASD which would explain a lot. It doesn’t mean Paedon’s bullying is ok in such circumstances, but….was it bullying or ‘just’ angry responses to a sister who could be nasty and hurtful in her own right too? From my own experience I can tell living with someone with ASD can trigger a seriously angry response at times. They can be really hurtful and insensitive. And for a young man like Paedon, who had his own demons to fight, it could have been too much to handle. I have no doubt Gwen made him see red and punch her, but is that bullying or sibling rivalry,or sibling fights at its worst? (And yes, punching is crossing a huge line!) I probably sound like I am defending Paedon here and that is not really my intention. It just felt a bit unfair to put all the blame on him without taking into account some other factors too. Yes, he was wrong and I am sure unpleasant and scary too, but my gut tells me that there was more to this story than just pointing at one of the less popular Browns and call him a bully and abuser.
  16. Great, so he has finally admitted he is a dominating control freak and has probably always been one. We knew of course, from our lengthy discussions about Kody and his behaviour, but it’s interesting he’s finally admitted it himself. It does make me wonder though, how Robyn manages to deal with that on a daily basis. Sure, it did indeed give her the biggest house and probably the lion-share of the money and his attention, but the price she has to pay for that seems rather high. In the past, there were 3 families he went to (every now and then) which gave her a break, but it is interesting to note how she has visibly aged from those intense years with just Kody! Not that I feel sorry for her btw😉
  17. Would that planet then classify as hell? I mean, having to spend eternity with exes doesn't particularly sound like heaven! I can totally see why he is now willing to give up on his planet... This made me laugh! Have any of the Browns ever realised how much some members (particularly Janelle, Meri and Christine) give away on their SM? Unintentionally maybe, but they do. E.g. posting pictures of holidays, road trips and luxurious vacations with your 'husband' missing in every single post? That is bound to feed rumours!
  18. Interesting if true, but I’m not sure. The spousal support sounds ridiculous if you ask me. Technically, these women have been on their own for years and done great, so any claim for spousal support is probably going to fall through because of that. Surely, they must know. The only truth I see lies in asking lawyers to untangle that financial mess of theirs to get their fair share out of it. Now that would probably make for some interesting tv! I’d love to see Kody forced to sell the land and hopefully his house to compensate Janelle and Meri!* * Iirc, Meri wanted the family to chip in for that B&B but Kody refused. (It was on the show and left Meri baffled and disappointed) She must have found other ways to finance it as it didn’t come from the family.
  19. I don’t know anything about Winn. But I think that the Kody of some 40 years ago was an insecure teenager that likely fell short with his peers and possibly his dad. Polygamy was Kody’s way of showing off: Telling the world that he actually was awesome, very masculine, fertile and a highly desirable match. It made him confident and strong in his own little kingdom. In one episode, they went back to his hometown. Kody clearly expected to be admired and applauded with his 4 wives and all those kids. He thought his school friends would be sick with envy. In truth, they were appalled, condemned his lifestyle and had little interest in rekindling any friendship. Kody was in total shock when reality finally sunk in. You could see all the cracks in his confidence. He could be King in his plyg kingdom, but cross the border and he literally became the nobody again he had always been.
  20. I’d say the loneliness stemmed from realising she still had a whole future ahead of her, just not the (polygamous) future she had envisioned with Kody. Janelle had Savanah and the boys back then so she never was truly alone but it isn’t the same as when having a partner you get to share (part of) your life with. And it also was during the pandemic. We all know how the lockdowns afffected people emotionally and put their entire social life on hold. It probably made an already existing situation 10 times worse in this respect.
  21. Yes, this! But also, at the time Kody was fighting hard to shine a more favorable light on polygamy and have it decriminalised. He wanted to show the world what an amazing concept this was (boy did that backfire!) and it would have given him an extra sense of self-importance to his family, his culture and the world. From the very first episode you could tell that Kody loved the limelight. His wives…not so much. Their first camera appearances were awkward, cringe-worthy even. As usual, Kody had this amazing idea and dragged everyone along without caring too much about the effect it had on others.

    Mykelti

I guess this twin pregnancy just happened to Mykelti and blessed her with two healthy boys. It’s not that uncommon really as 10-15% of all pregnancies start off as twins with one embryo often failing to develop at an early stage. And yes, your chances to conceive fraternal twins increase as you grow older or if it runs in the family. But it can certainly happen to young women (my great-grandmother gave birth to twin boys at 21 and my aunt to two girls at 20)
  23. Oh yes! And I believe that one of those guys on the panel actually asked them what “so-many hits” meant and how they were going to turn those hits into actual sales. (Something about millions of hits and only about 500 sales) It made him very sceptical and careful. And rightly so, such high number of hits yet so few sales is a huge red flag business-wise.
  24. I'm trying to remember If that hilariously bad pitch, the one where they were all roasted by those entrepreneurs over their amazing idea, was about MSWC? It doesn't really matter as it is the perfect example of how they come up with ideas, do only partial research (if at all) and only focus on the positives not the negatives. Kody then always manages to draw them in. Whether it is MSWC, their gym (that never materialised) or the selling of their houses in Las Vegas. Kody knows best, especially if the whole business was dreamed up by his favourite wife. And their best businesses are the ones that were built by Meri, Janelle and Christine without his "professional" guidance.
  25. https://mysisterwifescloset.com/collections/all?page=1 The link still works and you can click away the purple we'll be back soon pop up and scroll through it. It's a rather strange collection of stuff that is usually sold cheap at markets, fairs etc. But they charge a lot for it.
