  1. I don’t think Jill’s ever going to tell us all. From what I understand, she’s still in touch with quite a few family members. Another attack, no matter how justified, could jeopardise those (fragile) relationships too. Family loyalty and love runs strong and she could lose them all by going public with everything else. I’m sure she’s afraid of that, which is what holds her back.
  2. Michelle is Michelle in her own, rather egocentric way. She is also heavily brainwashed and has slowly morphed into an almost perfect Gothard role model. I'm sure she partly does it for her love for God, but it also gives her a certain level of prestige and status. And prestige and status matter a lot to people who are deeply in love with themselves and believe they are perfect, like Michelle. The baby voice Is incredibly annoying but iirc it is a typical Gothard thing that is highly encouraged in women.
  3. For Truly’s sake, I hope he’ll be the type of bonus parent who can be the father figure she never had.
  4. Agree, if she really made a fortune out of selling those clothes rags, she wouldn’t have walked away from it.

    Mykelti

Yes, they weren’t very supportive toward Mykelti to say the least. The family was 100% into the golden couple’s wedding and had some serious concerns about Mykelti’s whirlwind engagement (which I totally got at the time). But I will say that I found both Mykelti’s and Tony’s behaviour between their engagement and wedding pretty obnoxious and immature. It really was the Tony and Mykelti show, with lots of silly and immature decisions and behaviour. I can see why the family wasn’t leaping for joy back then.
  6. I agree with you when it comes to the respect he seems to show to Aspyn. And fortunately, he is not an attention whore and camera-lover like Tony. I’m glad he has taken Aspyn out of that toxic family. But I’ll admit, I really struggle to see past his polygamous upbringing and his positive views toward polygamy. He said at one point that he was open to the possibility of a polygamous marriage and he is a brother to Vanessa, who is married to Jeff Alldredge from seeking sister wives. Because of this, I am not 100% sure of Mitch. For Aspyn’s sake, I hope I’m wrong.

    Mykelti

I just posted a reply in the social media thread about Mykelti, who at one point said that “she married her dad”…It really got me thinking about Mykelti: How could it be, that one of the most free-spirited, rebellious and quirky Brown kids ended up with a partner that looks so much like her dad? I’d never have pointed at her 10 years ago. Tony is so much like Kody, albeit in his own unique way! True, he’s definitely more laid-back, and no polygamist, but that’s about it. He is as bossy, stubborn and controlling as Kody. He talks the same (sometimes scary) nonsense as Kody about all kinds of things and worldly matters and is as erratic and self-centered as King Kody himself. Oh and neither ever seems to have a “real” grown up job, work very little, yet magically bring the dollars home?? I am not saying Mykelti is unhappy, nor that it is a bad marriage. She seems ok and content with her life and really enjoys her children. But I do find this older, more mature Mykelti meek, without all the fire and passion she had until a few years back….
  8. A lot of women are unconsciously attracted to partners that remind them of their fathers. Unfortunately, not always just the good things. Mykelti is a perfect example of doing so. I’m not 100% sure about Mitch and Caleb. We don’t see a lot of Mitch on the show, but considering his background and the fact that he was open to a polygamous marriage a few years back, tells me that he shares more with Kody than we see on the show. Caleb seems very different but it would not surprise me if he is in fact more conservative and controlling behind closed doors than we think.
  9. I’d buy her book as I suspect her version will be closest to the actual truth, whatever it is. She has always felt to me as the most authentic, and I don’t think she told a lot of lies or gave contradicting accounts during the show, unlike the others.
  10. @SilverStormmis spot on with saying trust no one. I’m trying to decide whether the need for honesty and trust we see in quite a few contestants is naive/plain stupid or a desperate attempt to survive. You have to have allies to stay in after all, whatever the word “ally” means in this show. In a way, it brings out the worst in humanity.
  11. I’ve watched the UK, US and all 3 Dutch seasons and it strikes me to see how quickly the focus shifts from “pure game” to very personal. Every season has a handful of candidates that get absolutely livid and make harsh accusations toward there fellow players when banished. But that’s all part of the game! It’s not real, usually nothing personal and often led by doubts or strategy, but somehow it does become very personal and painful to some. It’s quite fascinating to watch from a psychological point of view. How do we react when you can’t trust anyone? When someone you trust betrays you? Would you share the big money with someone or throw someone under the bus and keep everything for yourself?
  12. Janelle made several disastrous financial mistakes in her life. It could have completely ruined her. Fortunately, she doesn’t care much for luxury or big houses. And little “free” things like the outdoors, will give her plenty of joy. It will help her to lead a comfortable and happy life on very little (to quote your words) once she retires. And I’m sure her kids will be there to support her should it be necessary. And these things are why I am a bit worried about Meri for her future. Yes, she is doing very well on her own. But she is also used to certain palatial standards and lots of space. It means a lot to her, so an adjustment to less won’t come easy. And she also doesn’t have a family support network like Janelle…
  13. It’s called Janelle Logic. One of her many decisions that didn’t make sense.
  14. They’ll be extras filling the scene in the back when filming the Ex Sister Wives show. And hopefully, their pay check will reflect their demoted status too…
  15. You just burst my bubble…..oh well, back to the drawing board then!
  16. Wow...that "Joolry" is bad! I'd rather spend $100 on Robyn's tacky and overpriced stuff than this crap if I was forced to choose. It almost makes Robyn's joolry look good. She at least used real silver and not cheap metal looking like the real thing. The Laguna necklace is one of the worst items I could find: a messy color mix of beads strung together to form a necklace for no less than $160!! My 7-year-old can do better than that! Maybe I should start selling those for half the money...🤔
  17. I haven't decided whether I am going to watch the next season or not. I once signed up out of curiosity for the polygamous lifestyle. That's all long gone; basically, since the Flagstaff move when they really started to have completely separate lives. And I'm afraid @Kellyee is spot on with her prediction for the next (few) season(s). There's not much to look forward to. Even the awkwardness between Robyn and the rest and Kody's rants are starting to get predictable, annoying, and sad.
  18. Agree! Curls will make even the thinnest hair impressive. And that forehead is huge, probably due to that receding hairline of his, but the curls cleverly hide it a little. I do wonder if anyone ever told Kody that perms are very bad for your (remaining) hair and could potentially speed up the balding process too!
  19. Koudrey? (with an o instead of an a of course) Would be the perfect mix of two names. Geegolly's Kodobyn was hysterical! I'm sure that's the name of Robyn's spirit baby...
  20. A bit late to this reply but regarding the internet: Michelle herself said they had "access" to the internet. However, it was very heavily guarded with lots of filters that banned all unsuitable websites (probably around 99% of what is out there). It had to be appropriate and could not conflict with their fundie/Gothardt beliefs. I just don't think it ever occurred to her that Josh was smart enough to beat the system and probably beat it every single time he was given a chance to spend unsupervised time on the internet.
  21. Beaury is in the eye of the beholder, which is very true when it comes to art. People love something or hate it. I’m sure there are people who like these pieces of work but personally, I’d expect a lot more from someone who calls themselves a designer and digital illustrator. From a technical point of view, it’s nothing special and it’s something my high school students could have produced for their art classes.
  22. Yep, it’s the filters… If she really has lost a lot of weight, she can’t post about it. We all “know” how lean, fit, young and beautiful she looks on SM….
  23. Which is more likely? A She is becoming a true Roloff by adopting this Matt-Mantra. B She has finally realised that building or renovation works don’t go well with Jeremy Roloff. I’d say a bit of both: Matt was always full of big ideas that never came to be or were abandoned before it was even finished. And Jeremy…well do I need to say more about his carpenter and building skills?? I’m sure that coop is not what Audrey envisioned at all!
  24. Let’s hope it’s just for a “nice picture” and not an actual ride. (Probably not) What really upsets me, is not the flimsy thing that’s supposed to be a helmet. It’s putting a practical naked kid on a motorbike! If anything goes wrong, those little feet will be completely mangled, and even “a short slide at low speed ” over asphalt if they get thrown off will cause horrific burns and grazes that leave nothing left of your skin. Basically like the flaying that Ramsey Bolton (GoT) did to his victims. It’s unimaginably horrible and painful!
  25. My youngest got a little bag with some pumpkin seeds some years back . We planted them and it was quite shocking to see how large those vines became. And that for 2 pumpkins per vine! So, you’d need an awful lot of space to grow the number of pumpkins the Roloffs normally have for sale. I don’t blame them for buying some, if not all, somewhere else. As for those people who go to Pumpkin Season: if you watch the show, you know you’re being ripped off for $27 pp. The organisation is poor, the attractions pretty worthless. So, imported pumpkins sold as Roloff Pumpkins fit the bill perfectly if you ask me!
