  1. Just wanted to thank you guys for holding down the viewing and update forts. I will be back this week because I have never missed a Steve and Kayla wedding and I'm not going to start now; especially not with this potentially being the last one. Sadly, I don't know if I will stay beyond the wedding. I have said and will keep saying until there is no reason to say it anymore. The lapse time between taping to airing is killing the show. When the stories are crap, as practically everything airing now is (I am so glad I did not bare witness to Higley's final slap in the face to JM and his legacy on the show). Firing Higlemonster and everyone around her accomplishes nothing because you won't see any appreciable change until late summer and the bleeding of viewers might be unrepairable at that point. At the end of the day Corday remains the true source of the problem. What he has done to the legacy handed to him is shameful.
  2. Yeah, I saw the post that Steve/Steven Nichols would be interviewed. I suspect that NBC/Corday probably had Higlemonster sign some sort of non-disclosure contract, which would be standard to prevent revealing of show secrets/future plot lines. I'm certain when word of her interview got out; she and her representatives got that call letting her know she would be dragged for filth, the dirt they must have on her based on what has filtered out over the years must be massive, and its impact on her career if she went on an "I'm the innocent victim" tour.
  3. And this grief was real even though he clearly knew Vargas was going to oust him, and potentially destroy his career and life. PS -- Just thinking about Tom and his confession that implicated Cyrus. Remember the last time Tom confessed to a murder, he was doing so because of Poppa Pope. The same Poppa Pope who pointed Liv in Cyrus's direction in the first place. The same Poppa Pope who pulls Jake's strings. The same Jake who got punked by Cyrus in the debate, and remains unaccounted for during the Vargas and Jennifer killings (and I say this as someone who vastly prefers Jake to Fitz and think that if she is to be with one in the end, I want it to be him), I mean come on people. I buy Liv and or Mellie being behind all of this before I will believe that Cyrus is the culprit. Hell, I wouldn't put it past Fitz.
  4. We have never seen Liv's gut at work. She was wrong about Amanda Tanner, didn't get the obvious play when Cyrus had Charlie kill her, and these are just the most obvious two. We keep hearing about Olivia's gut, but IMHO, we have never really seen the Olivia that created the legend of The Olivia Pope. We have always and only seen a broken shell of a woman and a fixer. She is often propped out by Huck, Harrison, Stephen, and even Cyrus
  5. If they go with Laurel as the killer, it will definitely will be an accident -- they argued about him possibly turning on Annalise, she pulls away from him, Wes loses balance and falls, hitting his head (making the initial coroner's report true). When the house flames, Laurel is herself injured, forgetting what happened. She most definitely saw someone leaving, and this is the person who is behind the fire. Making the key to The "Who Dun Its" realizing that the fire and the death are not related. I still wonder why Meggy is there, something more has to be going on; same goes for Simon. Whatever the reveal is, I want Atwood and Benito Martinez's characters brought to their knees. I want her to be guilty of something and his career to be in shambles based on his railroading of Annalise and obvious abuse of power. Ultimately, I still think the cast needs to be trimmed, especially now that Wes is gone and so much was tied to him. Nate lifts right out and Connor just no longer fits given his hatred of, whining about, and blaming of everyone (mostly Annalise) but him for his predicament in life. Let next season be about Annalise rebuilding her reputation and a few of the remaining K4 stay because students are no longer chomping at the bit to be under Annalise's wing while this cloud remains over her head. The murder of the season and Annalise's role in solving it and saving someone who was obviously doomed, getting her back on top. This is where they can tie in the person at the university who is trying to destroy her, if that doesn't connect to the current goings on.
  6. Just a note one the Frank and Oliver section. Oliver admitted to Connor what he did with the Stanford letter (which Connor never would have received since it was revealed that he is near the bottom of his clan, nut that's another gripe) and the phone call. Connor being okay with it and wanting to stay with Oliver is what Oliver realize that something was wrong with their relationship dynamic, causing Oliver to break up with Connor.
  7. Really, her cheating, family abandoning father who only returned because he is old and doesn't want to be alone, knew his brother molested Annalise but wasn't bothered by it, telling her to own her shit was a great moment. If Annalise can't own her shit, she clearly came by it naturally.
  8. The problem with this entire story for me is that as much as Cyrus is a murdering bastard, he is a smart murdering bastard. Amanda Tanner, almost James, the guy they set up to up Vargas' national profile, and on and on. He never commits such an obvious crime and would not do so in a way that would link so directly back to him, knowing that eyes would be upon him. Al this storyline is serving to remind me of is how vile and self-serving a character Olivia is. She couldn't care less about Vargas or who killed him, just so long as she gets her way. As noted upthread, once she has destroyed Cyrus, she'll decide he isn't the culprit and then set her up to be his savior; all the while ingnoring that she orchestrated Cyrus' downfall. Fitz is just the absolute worst. Just when I think I couldn't despise his character any more than I already did, he does something to make me hate him more. What amazes me is that in this era of wondering how so many people drank the Trump kool-aid, Shonda's ability to make people drink the Mellie kool-aid is unbelievable. Mellie is not deserving of the presidency because she lost a child and decided that she wants it. If Cyrus is out, the status quo should remain and a new election should be held, but ever since Shonda decided she was whitewashing Mellie's history to prop her up, everyone is supposed top fall in line with this pro-Mellie BS. I have not and will not forget Mellie was an active participant in the fake Fitz presidency; she knew about and co-signed on Fitz and Olivia because it served her sense of entitlement and desire to be in the White House, and just like Cyrus, Mellie's evil goes on and on and on; if people say he is not worthy, well neither is she. However, given the Shonda factor and her hard-on for the Mellie character (or perhaps the actress) wasn't the outcome of this storyline all but obvious from day one.
  9. Others, perhaps not on this forum have commented on that as well. They have also noticed that based on his treatment of her, Diane seems to be the least favored by Dre. Until this season, we never got the Bow tries to keep Diane at arms length, but with both parents shown doing it, is it any wonder that Diane has a problem connecting with people. This is why her moment with Junior, especially when she put her head on his shoulder and he put his arm around her was so important. She was shown both wanting to embrace and being viewed are worthy of being embraced.
  10. So the show begins the expected push of Riggs and the therapist because lets face it, Jordana Brewster doesn't get hired based on her acting talents, she is the pretty face who get to be the girlfriend and I say this as someone who goes back far enough with the actress to remember her from soap operas. Roger constantly getting beaten up wears real thin real quick when its a weakly show. The show got me with the stalker, I thought it was her fellow therapist from the movement we were shown they knew each other. The Murtaughs and their spying on Rihanna was both funny and understandable, with a father who is a cop, and a mother who is a defense attorney, they know all to well of the horrors of this world. Speaking of the Murtaughs, where was that precious baby.
  11. The baker only opened the envelope provided by Bow's doctor. So, the sonogram would be wrong, which actually happened to my cousin. All the scans said it was a girl and she bought and got gifts based on this belief but she had a boy. Doctor was like, "My bad, the baby must not have been properly positioned during any of the scans."
  12. Actually, we saw Bow waxing poetic about Jack and Diane being named for the John Cougar Melloncamp (or whatever variation of his name he was using at the time) song. Jack and Diane were rightly horrified to know that their namesakes were not siblings but lovers. That episode made me think it was a Bow thing, even if Dre agreed.
  13. So much YES to this. When Bow ranked DeVante last, my first thought was did she have a case of the happy pants for Mr. Dalvin. Also, I think from a strictly musical standpoint, a strong case could be made that DeVante Swing was the most important member because so much of the sound production and songwriting was him. He was to Jodeci what Teddy Riley was to Guy and every other variation of New Jack Swing group he was in. I never wanted to scream STFU Dre more than when he interrupted Bow's 90s music group countdown, especially given she rightly ranked Boyz II Men first. I enjoyed Ruby siding with Bow over the baby's name. Junior and Diane watching tv together was great because we don't often get to see bonding moments with those two. Given that Dre is a habitual asshole, especially when it comes to the treatment of his kids, something Junior pointed out, I think the kid most hurt by Dre's comments was probably Zoe because she has clearly always been his favorite, so knowing that on some level, her father viewed her as less than must have been crushing. However, all the kids are being scarred by his awfulness and I dont get Bow's tacitly co-signing on his behaviors (it is live a live action version of Marge and Homer Simpson). I think Junior will need to be in therapy for the rest of his life thanks to Dre. Jack will likely work to please even more, and Diane will most likely retreat further into her defensive shell, something we saw her trying to break in her efforts to connect with Zoe.
  14. Exactly, but why deal with facts when Annalise can be the scapegoat.
  15. https://mobile.twitter.com/JasmineLWatkins/status/826074216336338944/video More Marshawn Lynch -- this guy is actually funny as he continues to show he has plenty to say, just not to the media.
  16. Since Connor is homeless and leeching off of Michaela, he invited them into Michaela's bed because in typical Connor fashion, he feels entitled to all things. I for one would love a Connor is the killer reveal so we can get rid of him too. I can't stand him and think he is the absolute worst. Use Michaela, blame every thing on Wes yet his punk a** won't turn himself in for all the dirt he has done because his sense of entitlement tells him he is above being held culpable for his actions, hell, his actions are never his fault since other people make his little innocent self do things -- look at the political spectrum and see if Connor reminds you of anyone.
  17. Well, Fitz was the line who outed his relationship with Olivia to further his quest to be with her, so...
  18. So the editing monkeys were not at play this week when we got the Katsuji team crashing and burning. I was waiting for the "But they managed to make a spectacular meal and rise above their issues" trope. I won't miss Katsuji, but hate that once again we get to see more of Emily, which is never going to be a good thing IMO. Brooke clearly is being set up to be the winner, although I would prefer it to be Shirley, Sheldon or Sylva.
  19. Dear Show: Don't ever subject me to that m,ugh Miguel in a single episode ever again. Sincerely, A fan P.S. My other more positive comments are still pending.
  20. Given the all powerful, all-controlling power of Eurus, I'm surprised there was no revealed that she somehow asterminded the events that cause Mary's death, or a reveal that Mary was one of Eurus' emotional puppets and all aspects of her relationship with John and friendship with Sherlock and her ultimate demise was not some grand scheme of Eurus'. To me the biggest question raised and left unaddressed was, "What is up with the gene pool of the Holmes parents?" Sherlock and Eurus are murdering sociopaths. Mycroft is only slightly better due to his distaste for getting his hands dirty. Mycroft knows what the monster is capable of and indulges her for personal gain in the guise of helping the realm. Sherlock knows what the monster is capable of and goes to visit her and play the violin apparently for shittzandgiggles. Add me to the list who felt that what was done with Molly was awful. Could she have been made more wretched and pathetic? Are we to conclude that what we glimpsed of her at home is how Molly lives, in a perpetual state of depression and despair because Sherlock doesn't give her a reason to live? As others have noted, this season was about shock value and upping the ante. There was no real intellect or planning that was given the proper follow through. It seems as if the show has run out of steam. If this is the best a multi-year break produces, I can't imagine the length of the break that would be needed to correct this mess.
  21. So last week, the rarely hired because we know why, dark-skinned black woman is the Wicked Witch who deserves to die. This week, a different black girl kills someone who tried to help her. Sensing a them and I'm out.
  22. GROWL! How does Emily, that walking ode to mediocrity remain in the competition. She continually circles the drain but remains because someone's dish was slightly worse. I started off hating the show because Jim, who actually tried something inventive on a dish he got outvoted into, got the boot while her blah and basic take on a dish got a pass. Next Jaime goes because he had enough integrity to offer up his immunity because he got stuck making a dish he didn't want and couldn't execute it because the grill wasn't hot, which didn't help the end result of his satay. If the show is not careful, Emily will be the next Hosea, delightful personality and subpar cooking revisited. Brooke and Casey were lucky that Katsuji was there to save them as neither of their dishes were any good either. Really Brooke, you don't like raisins so you drown them in vinegar. Really Casey, serving raw scallops when you knew had to be sketchy because according to you, you smelt them "ten times," and then offering that BS excuse. Padma, who has never been my favorite, extreme beauty aside, is really showing herself to be quite the nasty piece of work this season. It has always sort of been there bubbling to get to the surface, but boy of boy is the nasty, entitled, I am the Queen on full display now.
  23. I was actually not surprised that the white woman was revealed to be an apologist Trump voter who insists that her vote for hate-spewing PoS isn't a reflection of who she really is. If you believe that, you can go buy that bridge that's awaiting sale in Brooklyn. Wanda Sykes got it right about her and all those like her. Of course she has black friends, I sure their names are Clarence Thomas, Ben Carson, Katrina Pierson and Omorosa. I'm also sure her white savior will make her retirement age father and town that existed on a now defunct economic base great again. Things will not doubt improve for her and her brethren bigly. Delusion thy name is white privilege. I actually hated Dre's speech. I wasn't impressed with his, "We's gon' solider on good white people cause we just knows y'all aren't racist, please don't blame y'all selves for the evil you have wrought, lets all jus get along" mantra. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets him an Emmy. It was positively worthy of Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry, perhaps KB is jockeying to join their ranks. So Junior was planning to discuss the I Have a Dream speech and he knew nothing about the actual speech, which is available for all on line and has been taught in schools for years customarily beginning in Junior High -- perhaps less time speaking Dothraki and more time living in the real world will help.
  24. Had no idea this was returning this week until I saw it on my DVR. I liked the focus on the captain and how Trish was incorporated into the story. I'm glad the captain is still around and not dead as I feared, forced to resign in disgrace, or facing criminal charges for his crime. Malcolm Jamal warner was genuinely scary during his final scene with the captain. Not even the slightest glimpse of Theo in sight. And may I just add that MJW is a very attractive man. I liked seeing him and Damon Wayons in a heavily dramatic scene given their claims to fame are comedies.
