  1. Well, Frank is Italian, I'm sure those viewers will explain how with the connection to the Moors, Frank could produce such a child with a half-Mexican Laurel. When the child is Wes's doppelgänger, I'm certain Frank's long-lost great grandfather will be revealed to be Wes's great-grandfather, thus explaining how Frank's child looks so much like Wes.
  2. The ultimate joke would be for Wes to rat Annalise out for Laurel and it turns out Frank is the father.
  3. I just think it was to cover themselves for the flack they took during the Scandal rape, plus HTGAWM is another show under the Shonda umbrella, so the suits said better safe than sorry.
  4. That was an uber intense scene and it might have been triggering for a lot of people. To see someone so clearly on the brink of implosion and to have Annalise in a fit of pent up anger and pain encouraging him to blow his brains out in her living room. We knew for the viewer warning something big was coming and people still seem to have been unprepared for what they were witnessing. Absent that warning, I think a lot of viewers would have been shell-shocked and some, understandably angry. I also feel like ABC learned its lesson from not including such a warning when there was a rape scene on Scandal. The network was blasted and understandably treaded lightly. My hope is that Annalise is burning down the house because she, Bonnie and Frank come through this and realize that the only way they can truly be free of the blight that Sam caused in their lives is to literally burn that which most represents him down and start again. I have made no secret of my support for Frank and I think there is so much story left to be told with him, especially with him working his way back into Annalise's good graces. I also want to see more of him interacting with Bonnie. I believe Wes could turn on Annalise because he, much like the rest of the K5 refuse to truly accept their complicity. His arrogant statement about Frank as a killer, when Annalise correctly pointed out he is a killer as well, not to mention an attempted murderer and she is perfectly fine with him. Hell, Wes for all his righteous indignation wasn't too concerned when Nate was framed on his behalf, Michaela is the only one who actually cared and seemed to feel bad. Wes also sought to actively hang the noose around the neck of Mahoney's son knowing full well that Frank killed him, with no thought about that, or as Annalise noted the possibility that his actions could blow back on him. To me, Wes is the ultimate case of "pot needing to meet kettle." As much as Connor is a whiney little you know what, he was dead on in his assessment of Wes and his impact on other's lives.
  5. Always wonder if it references the color you had to be to eat and possibly even waitress there not so long ago.
  6. I just deleted Days from my DVR and Dishin' Days form my podcasts. Once every two weeks Steve and Kayla moments don't warrant my time, effort, energy or frustration. I'll keep checking to see if a worthwhile episode airs and to hear you guys thoughts on the goings on.
  7. Thanks.
  8. I think it's too soon as well. I want to see how things play our with Gabi and Chad, but the show will shove her back with Chad and demonize Gabi in an effort to prop its non-deserving princess. When a show shoots as far in advance as Days does, a recast this soon when you are testing the male lead with someone else is a stupid mistake.
  9. This was a show I was interested in when it first came on, but my provider only recently began carrying WGN. Is it a show I can pick up on, or am I better off foregoing this season until I can catch up?
  10. This would make her incarceration all the more ironic.
  11. I think Lee survives and just when she thinks she will get her happily ever after with Flora, her taped confession will rear its ugly head.
  12. I agree with your entire post, and no, you are not all but alone in your dislike of Connor. I have never liked him and not even liking the Oliver paring altered my opinion of who Connor truly is. Much like Nate, I have never liked, trusted or thought that there is essentially a good person under the surface. I too hope there is no ambiguity to the pregnancy (which I suspect won't result in an actual birth) not because I prefer one man to be the father over the other, but because the show has enough soapy goodness without this typical soap trope. I also wished Frank had not bee-lined himself to Laurel, but it does make sense and might not be a love-centered move. Frank knows what he did to Bonnie was crappy and he is looking for a way in, so it makes sense that he would test the waters with the person who has basically been stalking him by phone for five months. Believing Laurel to be on his side, Frank goes to her to feel out how both Annalise and Bonnie might respond to his presence. His night with Bonnie gave him a slim hope that having seemingly gotten Wes off the hook, that Annalise might at least hear him out, which even if she responds with venom, is a foot in the door. He has known her for years and knows that after her initial rage, no matter how long-lived, she might process his perspective and take him back provisionally. If Laurel confirms Bonnie protected him, not revealing the sex or giving up info. about him, Frank feels like Bonnie might still be open to hearing him out. Once seeing Laurel with Wes and realizing she was likely playing him, Frank takes the best shot he has, go to Bonnie, because he knows he cant go to Annalise sans Bonnie, if he suspects that Laurel's deceit was an Annalise play. I keep saying it because I want to wish it into the universe. Please let Frank live he is one of my favorite characters and quite frankly (no pun intended) he actually serves a vital role in the way Annalise conducts business. Kill Nate. While no fan of Connor, and feeling it is time for a K5 shakeup, I don't want him to be the one under the sheet because I respect the love others have for him and I sort of like his "friendship" with Michaela, although given my opinion of him, I doubt that friendship is all that real.
  13. And Dena shows herself for the talentless, propping hack she is. Get ready because this is just the beginning of the crapfest. I promise all Steve and Kayla fans Dena isn't finished propping her other fave Ava, she will be back in some form. All those hoping for the end of Rafe and Hope, be prepared to have them shoved down your throats even more because she won't give up on the bland nothing that is Rafe. Pretty much every storyline and character nightmare you have ever imagined will soon begin to unfold right before your very eyes if you have the stomach to keep tuning in. To paraphrase the late Macdonald Carey, "Like sands through the hourglass, those are the horrors of our lives."
  14. I know the list is extensive, but normal by Salem's standards. However, I will never forgive him for killing Renee, Benji, and Lexie (true it was inadvertent, but still).
  15. Strangely I don't really care who killed the wife. I don't know what it is, but I have zero interest or investment in her. It's not because Kate died right after being introduced as I have watched shows where the victim was already dead, but the writing and the way the character is acted is so compelling I care as if I had actually experienced the character. I think the characters they have now with Terry O'Quinn and company would work on a modern-day prime time soap. Every time something interesting happens with them, we get interrupted by the Who Killed Kate show. At this point, I don't know what it is, but the format for the show is working agains it this season as I'm tired of Juliette Lewis, who I know I should be rooting for as the detective, but I'm just not.
  16. I never thought I'd see the day when I would root for Andre over Hope. Sadly, I am completely over her as a character and would like nothing better for Hope, Rafe and Fauxman to locked away for the way, way, way distant future. Once again, the show's ridiculous shooting schedule is going to bite them. They rushed to recast Abigail, when I thought the character needed as lengthy break and now we have Gabbi and Chad really working together, so we know Abigail will return and that pairing will be shoved down our throats ala Hope and Rafe. Gabbi will sadly be reduced to easing back on down Petulant JJ road. Clearly the show is going to give us Justin and Adrienne again, which I have no problem with, as I like the pairing. However, I love Lucas (a feeling clearly not shared by TPTB on the show) and hate for him to be crapped on again. So I would rather the Lucas and Adrienne break come sooner rather than later because I don't want him hurt anymore than need be. Love me some Steve, Kayla, John and Marlena but -- TEAM ORPHEUS all the way!
  17. My preference for under the sheet, even though I know I won't get my way is: 1) Nate 2) Connor 3) Wes 4) Frank
  18. Don't forget Swamp Fetus aka Chelsea.
  19. But we knew he was alive at that point, so the show wanted us to know that he was the magician.
  20. She did it because Mahoney was threatening Wes and she felt (sadly, rightly so), that if she wer no longer in the picture Mahoney would leave Wes alone. She was desperate, feared she would be deported and thus removed from Wes' life anyway, so to her, doing that in a way which kept Mahoney out of the picture made sense to her.
  21. I stopped reading the spoilers and now hate it if I get spoiled, as i do find my enjoyment level went up. For examp,e, I almost danced with joy when I saw Orpheus was still among the living and not in the morgue. The only thing I still do is a cursory check to see if the show was enjoyable for those that watched that day, as that usually means we had a Rafe/Hope/Jennifer etc. light day. Of course when I read that Steve and Kayla were on, my happiness factor increases exponentially as I'm all in with them until Dena does a Dena and craps on Kayla again.
  22. I think that actress also plays Bunchy's wife on Ray Donovan and she is beyond awful there as well. Every time I see her, I wonder how she keeps getting work.
  23. The plan was to make it look like Sam was the victim of a random crime. There was some big Campos's event going on and they hoped the police would think he walked in on a burglar who assumed he would be at the bonfire. That's why they made the point of videoing themselves at the bonfire, as it was suppposed to be their alibi if someone remembered the car being at the house on the night of the murder. Wes went back to get the trophy when they realized its discovery would implicate them. That's when he saw Annalise. Yes, she was trying to protect herself as she would have been the most logical suspect, but I believe and all we have seen supports that she was protecting the K5, and most specifically Wes, who actually killed Sam. And yes, the K5 know that Annalise concocted the scheme with Wes when he went back to the house. If we want to assign blame for Sam's murder that looks at the totality of the situation, it actually goes back to Nate because he was the one who planted the idea in that awful Rebecca's head to get evidence against Sam (at least I'm vaguely remembering the conversation that put her on that road). She was illegally in his house, refused to leave and was stealing Sam's property. As much as Sam was a sleaze, he was the victim in that scenario as he was defending himself against intruders. Had he not died and the police got involved, they most likely would have been arrested. Wes's mother did commit suicide. That's what he was told and that's what he believes. Wes believing he was born in Haiti is a result of his mother lying to keep his paternity from him. Wes was a little boy, who was understandably traumatized by the death of the only person he had in this world. Nothing he told Rebecca was a lie because as far as he knew at the time, that was the truth. He didn't change his name to cover something up, his name was changed by an adult on the belief that it would give him a fresh start. While I will never understand his interest in and attraction to Rebecca, I don't think their is anything from his stated backstory that can label him a sociopath. Even his shooting of Annalise, which I hated, doesn't support this conclusion because once again, he acted in the moment based on what he believed. He then institutionalized himself to deal with the fact that he knew he was spiraling out of control. It was the shooting of Annalise and the site of another black woman in a pool of blood that caused his repressed memories about his mother's death to resurface. Is Wes an occasionally emo pain in the ass, yes; sociopath, for now, I say no.
  24. Kayla said the magician volunteered his time. Question: Was Joey supposed to be Prince because.no. Isn't it enough the man is dead, must his name be desecrated in such a horrid manner. Theo can do so much better than obnoxious Ciara (interesting how she has been given oh so many of her mother's unlikable traits) and insipid Claire (she bores, can we ship her to wherever her parents are). If however, the show intends to shove one of these pairings down our throats, I'll take Claire who actually like Theo, as opposed to "I guess I can't better deal you, so I'll cling to you until I find yet another perceived better deal" Ciara. No sympathy for Hope, Rafe or Fauxman, I think they can all go away anytime now. Jade is back - why? Did anyone miss her or care that she was gone?
