Chris Scott had never made an impression on me when he judged. Glad to see Justin doing well. Tiffany is always fun and a tough competitor. Carson is a treasure.

Fairbanks, AK. I was interested in seeing how Alaskan these houses would be. All had indoor plumbing and no composting toilets so not in the boonies. The wife lucked out. Anyone watch Buying Alaska? She didn't. That show led me to watching HH & HHI. They picked the right house for them.

What is Ashley wearing? Her tiramisu looked like a trifle. Lady fingers and expresso does not make it a tiramisu. Wish Javier had won the advantage. This pie challenge is tricky. Well, we all saw that coming. This just wasn't the competition for Jennifer.

This was a great episode! No wonder these people have won in the past. Such talent. And all the teams seemed to mesh well. The quilts were stunning. A friend made me a quilt from my dad's shirts so that hit home. And then there were the stadiums. They were all well done, I couldn't pick a winner. I enjoyed that there wasn't any pieces breaking drama that we usually get when they have to build a structure.

I laughed when Jake handed in his SITD and asked if Kaleb could blow on it or something.

Is Amy's necklace one of the dipper constellations? Very cool.

I bet Morgan is regretting her pep talk to Anna Leigh. Instead of saying hang in there, race all the way to the mat; she's wishing she said just coast. And Morgan was a lot kinder to AL then she was to Lena.

I can't laugh at the teams having problems with the skiing. That would so be me. I'm terrible on skis.

Murphy never seems to win the competitions but his dishes were what the judges loved. Bobby's stuffing, not so much. Amanda beat Scott but it was his stuffing and gnocchi that were praised. Her green bean casserole almost cost them the win. So the first few rounds are really not a good indication who will come out on top. But I love seeing everyone have a good time.

Greater Melbourne, Australia. I don't like Nicole's hair. If he works from home, why can't she take Margo in the car to shops? #1 was really pretty. But having to furnish it is a downer. Lucas is always good for an "are they for real" comment. Dust doesn't exist in new homes ever? Why didn't someone tell me this when we were buying? I think that was the perfect home for them.

Burlington, VT. Abigail is pleasant. I'm trying to figure out what that tattoo on her arm is. Stinks that she needs to get a roommate to make this work. #3 did make the most sense. It was the biggest and fully fenced for Winnie. So cute.

It could have been worse. I had to really concentrate to understand the lines from the Australians. Gee, could they have made Mackie any more like Gibbs? The break in the actress's eyebrow was so distracting. So the nuclear experts they flew in from San Diego was the sleeper cell? And the blonde created the radioactive incident so that the cell would be called in? Shouldn't Tennant have been Mackie's boss? I liked the junior partners and the forensic intern. The doctor needs work.

I liked Alex but she was the right one to go home. She needs more baking experience and then can try this again. Not sure I like Justine winning for her candied sage. It wasn't incorporated into her dessert, it was on top.

That whole situation with the new girl micromanaging and then the mean girls pitching in seemed manufactured. The judges kept saying the 2 older women were veterans but I've never seen them in other shows. The true veteran is Aaron. I remember him from something and he is talented. Glad his team won. I didn't like the theme this week. It led to so so displays.

Rochester. I'm an only child, I visited my parents at least once a week. There is no way in hell I would move within walking distance of them. Even if my husband had agreed, which he never would.

Libgirl2, I thought that girl looked familiar. Then when she said gingerbread, I knew it had to be from a gingerbread show.

Did anyone see the rocking north pole episode? One team actually had their Santa dancing, sort of, so it is possible. That one woman on the Montreal team was so annoying, like she drank too much coffee. And her flavors weren't seasonal. I wanted to try the other 2 cakes. Everyone had trouble with proportion, big bodies with small heads. My only problem is I don't know who won.

Party is over, that was sad.
