  1. Actually my friend met a guy on plentyoffish.com and her sister had someone run a background check before she went out with him.
  2. I think Tripp is a cutie. I’m sorry he and the Jr chef got booted the first night. There are definitely some cute and talented kids on this show. Akash is adorable. I also liked Scottie’s daughter and Stevie’s son. And the skater girl and the GH kid.
  3. I enjoyed tonight’s show. The stuff with Mike and his dad and Mandy was good. Love Kyle’s haircut. So glad this show is back. There needs to be more balance coming out of Hollywood.
  4. Oh my gosh I love this show! I laughed out loud several times, I could totally relate to Mary’s crisis of faith, and I cried at the end.
  5. I worked at a grocery store in the early 80s and the cash register told me how much change to give. So happy the show is back! Love this show and this episode.
  6. I guess I didn’t miss her either. I didn’t even realize she wasn’t on. I was excited to see the cat! As for JC, I felt a little bad for him. Then I remembered my nephew. He’s a pervert. And a lazy slug. I sure wouldn’t tape anything for him.
  7. Rewatching the show. Binge-watched Season 1. It was so awesome then! The music was fantastic, the stories were good, and Maddie wasn’t annoying. Scarlett was, though. And Avery was a jerk. But he certainly wasn’t the first to go solo and leave his band mates behind.
  8. It is running late in some areas, including the Tampa market where I live. We’re just now finished with the engagement. I enjoyed all of that until Paul showed up.
  9. Prayers for Augusta and Albemarle Counties. And the rest of Virginia.
  10. But that’s where Sam hangs out - Staunton and Charlottesville. Trust me, I worked at Wright’s Dairy-Rite in Staunton and they cruise up and down Greenville Avenue. When you get older, you barhop in downtown Staunton. There wasn't that much fighting. FYI - when I was 19, I dated a guy in Stuarts Draft. Again, not a lot of fighting. Mostly just teenage pregnancies. Maybe Northern towns are a lot different.
  11. Lived in Staunton, Grottoes, Waynesboro, and Charlottesville. Fights aren’t really par for the course.
  12. My UO is I like GT. And I like her version of Phyllis. MS was just insufferable and unbearable. I don’t like what (or who) Phyllis does, but she is entertaining to me. I wish my mom would send me on a yacht to go off the grid for a few days. Also, I stand with Devon.
  13. Where did you grow up? I have lived in Sam’s area and have never heard curb stomp or blood hole. And mud holes are holes in the ground and not holes in the body.
  14. Where did she learn about curb stomping and blood holes? I don’t think it was Staunton or Stuarts Draft.
  15. “I’m not a big scary black lady anymore.” No, you’re still scary. You have a switch that you flip and then you lose your freaking mind. That is scary. I hope Swaggy runs for the hills.
  16. The lads! Bayleigh is horrible! And possibly psycho.
  17. Is Frankenkyle the one on The Man In The High Castle? Oops. Never mind. He was Noah.
  18. I certainly don’t mean to offend you or imply that African-Americans have not been the victims of racism. I was merely pointing out that “racist” means to show discrimination against another race. In this case, anyone who is not African-American is not allowed to say a certain word. I will continue to not use the word. And I prefer to not hear or read it also. I feel it’s a derogatory term no matter who is saying it. I would rather lift people up than put them down. Sorry if I offended anyone. I shouldn’t have said anything.
  19. I wouldn’t use any of those words. But, you don’t see men saying “the B word.” They just say the word. And they certainly use the other words. I think taking something and saying it’s only for one race is inherently racist. Why can’t we all just get along? Why do we have to have derogatory words for a certain type of person? Just be nice to everyone.
  20. Just finished watching the Dodge City game. Wow! That coach is awful! The players aren’t very respectful, but he doesn’t really give them much reason to be. I hope these players can turn it around and get out of there.
  21. I’m a little perturbed by this “n-word” brouhaha. I would personally never use it because I find it offensive, but if it’s in the lyrics of a song or you are explaining offensive words to someone, or even quoting someone like Papa John did, I really don’t get all the anger. If you don’t want people using that word, don’t put it in your lyrics and don’t use it yourself. Sorry if that offends anyone but it’s just my humble opinion.
  22. What kills me is my mom wouldn’t let me watch Emergency! because one of the tertiary firefighters died once but she had no problem letting me watch this sick crap.
  23. You definitely should see Deliverance. Great movie. I don't have a problem with him calling Deacon “son.” He is. And they’re Southern. I enjoyed Daphne’s song but I hate that she now slur-sings.
  24. Loved this show!!! It comes with my YouTube tv subscription so I didn’t have to pay extra for it. I loved that they were all flawed characters and very few were completely bad. And no one seemed to be completely good. The only thing I didn’t like was Daniel’s son almost bought me something on my Echo Dot. At least Alexa asked me to confirm before placing the order. Can't wait for S2.
