  1. I wouldn't mind having a vacation house there, but living so far from everything would drive me insane eventually. I'd end up as the killer that Douglas Henshall arrests at the end of the episode. Not that I'd mind THAT.
  2. Mancunian, but otherwise, you are correct. The last time a clue called for Upton Sinclair, I actually got it right, mainly by saying the exact opposite of what I thought was the answer.
  3. Nope, I was being honest. I know diddly-squat about Herbert Hoover other than he was president. Maybe the one when the Stock Market Crash hit? Engineer + president meant nothing to me. Even the dates didn't help. Presidential and political categories are the bane of my Jeopardy existence. I'll confess to answering The Meuse instead of The Marne to that WWI battle question, despite knowing about replacement troops being frantically ferried out to the battle by taxis from Paris, known as the Taxis of the Marne. D'oh.
  4. It took me more than one viewing to get that he was narrating his own actions, but once I did, I loved it. Especially the squinty eyes.
  5. That said, I actually liked the concept of this season and thought that it worked for the most part. I enjoyed this season quite a bit. I don't need the built-in drama of pre-existing relationships because the interpersonal drama is not why I watch AR.
  6. UGH! Not the worst winners ever, because Kendra exists, but definitely down there with Flo.
  7. I find the idea of a "women-only" screening of Wonder Woman kind of stupid. Not discriminatory, just pointless.
  8. The same way I did, by not knowing diddly-squat about Herbert Hoover?
  9. It came out after I got tired of H&O, apparently. Out of Touch is the last hit of theirs that I remember.
  10. All I know about Lewis Carroll is that his relationship with the little girl who inspired Alice was highly suspect. I said Swift, but didn't really think it was correct. I've never heard that Hall & Oates song, but D-I-V-O-R-C-E as a TS was unforgivable. And yes, I spelled it out. For FJ, I said West Point first, then realized that wasn't a state school and said UVA in plenty of time to write it down.
  11. All I could think of was Homer, and I knew that was wrong.
  12. My father would've returned from the grave if I hadn't known that Matthew Ridgway was the commander of the 82nd Airborne.
  13. I don't mind them being advertised on tv, but I really wish I didn't have to see the same 5 or 6 commercials a zillion times during one show.
  14. I actually kind of like the idea of the commercial, if only it weren't for University of Phoenix. And I do like the notion that it's automation pushing the woman out of her nice factory job. Would depend on how bad the psoriasis was, and how much it affected my life. Plus, they're legal required to list every possible side effect regardless of how likely it is that any one person would actually experience any of them. Psoriasis, and especially arthritis, can be very debilitating. I have friends who have days when they can barely walk due to the pain from arthritis; that level of pain would make me willing to discuss medication. A disease or condition doesn't have to be life-threatening to make life awful.
  15. Maybe they had to move for financial reasons? Idk, just an idea.
  16. She does have great hair, but she's wooden as all get out on Quantico, at least, in what little I watched of it.
  17. People are flipping idiots. They're all het up, and yet, the captain of the main starship is Jason Isaacs. His character isn't going to be the focus of the show, but it's not like there won't be any white guys involved.
  18. That's not a movie I imagined ever needing to be remade, but it does look interesting.
  19. He didn't have to be, but D&D do seem determined to ignore Martin's blueprint on his character.
  20. So that's what happens when you lose to West Brom & Crystal Palace, Arsenal.
  21. Not at the cup stacking - she was unfailingly enthusiastic there. But at the restaurant, yes, a bit.
  22. There was plenty of opportunity to make up ground. Matt & Richmond did, in fact, catch up. Had Tara not finally managed to mash enough buttons to win, Matt would've passed her.
  23. Nope. I have never found Brad Pitt hot, or even more than vaguely attractive.
  24. I was never wild about Patrick Swayze in general, but damn, did he have charisma coming out his ears in Dirty Dancing. This new guy is a veritable black hole of charisma, and while he does have a nice body, he ain't particularly attractive imo.
