  1. Since I watched the entire series in 2 months, I can't split the seasons apart very well. I guess I remember the story arcs as opposed to season numbers. The pilot until Ted and Robin got together was awesome. Lily and Marshall being split up had some good episodes due to the tension, but they are meant to be together. I didn't love this, but it was needed. After Lily and Marshall get married and up until Cobie and Alyson got (real life) pregnant was the best stretch of the series. Marshall's dad dying brought some good layers to the characters. The last episodes before Barney/Robin's wedding weekend were so sad. Ted was full-on depressed. I only like to re-watch the middle seasons when it was a comedy. The first and last seasons were dramedy, in my opinion.
  2. I just thought Monica told people to wait until the day of the wedding to confirm with her, directly. When Monica didn't respond, they left messages and/or quit.
  3. That's the same episode where Rachel leaves Ross a voicemail. She says (in the voicemail) "I am. over. you." Then he responds... "When were you...under me?"
  4. Not sure what a watch model looks like. But, I'm guessing they always wear glasses? I'm going to start judging men's looks on a "zero" to "watch model" scale. Love it!
  5. I wish Karlous would have insulted the men in the audience too on the head-to-head. It's lazy and played out to tease the unattractive women in the crowd. Paraphrasing Karlous' rambling: "Shout out to the ladies with facial hair. Shout out to the ladies with dandruff. A woman who has your child is the worst STD of them all." Mean comics aren't my cup of tea. However, I agree with WhineandCheez, RodMan makes me happy laugh during his sets. But even better, he makes me laugh days later when I'm in a situation that he made funnier. Carpool lanes make me giggle, and seeing a Baby Alive makes me think, "Who is that baby's daddy?" Hahaha. It's all in the details.
  6. I would have picked Michael Ealy for the final round. In an earlier round he winked at his teammate for getting an answer right. A wink from Michael Ealy is winning the game.
  7. Does the development deal strictly mean they would be acting in the show? I mean, could it mean they would write for a show? Tina Fey has an NBC Universal development deal and she will be behind the scenes in the many shows that get picked up.
  8. The "love" for Fred is just 2 or 3 people on here who like him (one of them being me). Not indicative of a trend, just a few opinions. It doesn't even matter if the person Seth interacts with is necessarily Fred. It just needs to be someone! They can't spend this many weeks doing nothing. The show is too new for us to know what is missing from the formula.
  9. We do always have to consider this alternative. Hahaha
  10. Where do breakfast tacos fit into this conversation? Because I'm from Austin and I never miss a chance to order breakfast tacos while everyone else enjoys pancakes, waffles, and french toast.
  11. Yep, now that we are talking in terms of a sitcom, I see the final three as Nicky, Lachlan and Rodman. I'm trying to think up a concept that allows Joe Machi to anchor a show and it would definitely be a new sitcom style. Karlous would have to star in a show about a standup comedian who doesn't write his jokes ahead of time; that's all we know about him. I forgot someone, but not sure who. I could even see Rod and Lachlan on the same show. With Rod being the married, responsible father(?) who goofs around when he hangs with slacker friend Lachlan. Whoever gets second place would be in the supporting role. Win/Win. I would love that! There isn't a show like that on TV right now either.
  12. Dude, Seth! Toaster Strudel is willing to cover for Fred's absences.
  13. Nick Swardson just did a Q&A on reddit. He says that he and Leah were actually drunk during filming. So, there we go I guess.
  14. Still no Fred! It's been 6 weeks now. If he isn't there next week, I'm cancelling my season pass. Why haven't they come up with a less-famous backup? I could send them a list of funny improvisers that are always available, my twitter feed is full of them.
  15. @Loriro Which one is All or Nothing? Is that the Solange one? Bring it on again. All or nothing. In it to win it. Fight for the finish. One of them has Christina Milian, and I think Hayden Panettiere is somewhere in there too. (Not Googling it because I would rather talk it out with you all)
  16. I'm completely ignorant of the casting process, but couldn't they figure out which group to place each girl in once they saw them in person? Extras don't have lines, so you could move people around as needed. There were so many other ways to go about this, and they picked the worst one. The call could have said "women of color needed for 4 scenes, look like yourself." Hypothetical, but where would a non-skinny light-skinned girl go? It's just silly that they expect all their extras to fit in 4 defined categories.
  17. May have been Maury, RubyWoo72. It could have even been Jenny Jones. That may have been the best line ever spoken, and it has made my life richer ever since.
  18. Does Jerry Springer count as a show we can quote? Because two girls were screaming a each other and the one sitting down told the one standing up that she'd better "Step the back up." Hahaha. We say that all the time and usually act out what "Stepping the back up" may actually look like. It's the least effective method of getting someone out of your face. More of a dance move, really.
  19. I'm actually just happy this show is single-camera format. That's all it takes for me to give a new show a shot.
  20. I understand that period movies, Grease is set in the 50's, may not show what I'm asking for. I'm saying new movies can mix it up a bit.
  21. Wynonna Judd was a bad choice for this show. She said "I don't watch TV." I only watched 2 of the games with her, but she looked like she was at jury duty. Yawn
  22. The first month that this show was on, a lot of people were asking for more Seth anecdotes. It was refreshing at first because those stories were nothing like his Weekend Update persona. He could switch it up a bit, but in recent history, the storytelling was a good thing. I'll say it until he returns: this show is not as fun without Fred.
  23. @Lovecat That's funny, one of my quotable quotes is almost exactly the same. From Gilmore Girls, "This Tastes Pink. Really Pink. Its Really Bad; It's like Drinking a My Little Pony." – Luke Guess drinks just taste pink sometimes, you know.
  24. Rick Kitchen, can you link to the clip you watched?
