  1. Come ON man, you have to spill the deets for those of us who wish to know what shit is a'comin' so's we can be prepared...SPILL IT SISTER!
  2. In all fairness, Janelle has never been a Martha Stewart type when it comes to entertaining!
  3. The biggest issue, IMO, about any woman with money marrying Edward is that as husband, he would then control her money and he'd squander it away very quickly, then leave her.
  4. I looked up Fire's IG and she has all these photos of her and her boyfriend, he also has a daughter that she considers a daughter. In Feb I think, she said she got into her 'dream' school, a dance school in NYC, then last month, March, she posted her and her kid on a plane moving to England to be with her boyfriend. So her sob story? WTAF?!? ETA: @iamfireofficial Oh, and she was also in the Army...I mean, was Adun actually autistic? Did Cam really raise his siblings alone? Are any of these sob stories real or are they just yanking our chain?!?
  5. Because if Georgiana marries the Duke she becomes a Duchess regardless of whether or not he has money at this point. So she has her fortune and a title now, ergo she has social standing and everyone else can piss off. Jolly Parker has no title but as others have said, it would be easy for the three of them to even live together with Jolly being a 'friend'... I have to say, Inwas.smiling so big when Jolly said, I like grouse!' It was such a revelation that he now knew who he was.
  6. TIIC have neutered this show beyond recognition at this point. Remember Ms. Ophra? She was only like the best singer out of all the auditions. And she mysteriously gets 86'd during Week 1 of Hollywood week and we the viewers never even see what her Hollywood week performance was like? I call bullshit on this. Also, the auditions used to be a lot more interesting but now we see a handful of try outs dragged out over an hour or two, and pretty much all sound like ass to viewers but they all get tongue baths by the judges and let through? Again, bullshit. This show has become all about the sob story. If you have a tale of woe that is compelling enough, apparently it's going to get you to Hollywood week now. And the setting up vulnerable people (Adin, Fire, and the other dude who raised his siblings) for a big fat fail, then send them home with a trite, "you're going to continue doing great things now that we've showed you what you can do...blah blah blah fishcakes!" These aren't judges, they're just playing a part in a producer-driven game.
  7. Totally forgot to mention Lady Denham and Mr. Price! Surely a woman as savvy as Lady Denham is, would have hired private investigators and/or a solicitor to look into Price's finances to see if he was indeed worth what he appears to be, before accepting his proposal. That acceptance just was so out of character for her and I am totally expecting Price to turn into a penniless scoundrel now. And if it doesn't matter to Lady D, and she really loves her old flame, then so much the better. As for Lady Susan and Samuel Colbourne, I'm rooting for those two kids!
  8. While I too would like to see Edward reformed, I think his character is too far gone, too debauched at this point, the ever truly be redeemable. I can only hope that one of the outcomes of this running away bit is that the clergyman realizes his efforts to reform Edward were all for naught and that perhaps he is also wrong about keeping his sister locked away, thus allowing her to marry Herr Doctor, because those two are adorbs together, in a very weird sort of way! Also re: Augusta, we've seen her as a headstrong, opinionated young woman, albeit one with zero love experience. It just doesn't seem in character to me, to have her be accepting blindly all the bullshit Edward has been dishing out. I've felt all season that Georgiana should marry the Duke in a marriage of mutual convenience. She did see him coming out of the changing bath house with another man, yes? Wasn't that her? So she has some inkling of his 'inclinations'? Perhaps she doesn't quite know what a 'grouse-loving' gentleman is/does but she did see what she saw so... I too assumed/thought that Ralph had overheard Georgiana proclaim that Charlotte was in love with Colbourne. I thought she was about to come clean with Ralph just as Colbourne burst into the room. I think he did overhear, but I also am not certain he believes it because he seems to feel that a life as his wife is so much better than all these awful, learned town folk that he seems to dislike despite not knowing them at all. Ralph is a country snob if you ask me. Like Charlotte should be thrilled to live as his farmer's wife, rather than in a seaside spa town filled with people who...read books and such! He's an ass. Yes, someone should have told Augusta about all the woman Edward has schtupped and left, and his nasty schemes to break young women and take their inheritance. That might have turned her off right away. In fact, Colbourne should have called Edward to his house, had Augusta present, and read the list of his crimes in front of Augusta so he couldn't talk his way out of them. Better yet have his aunt present to confirm his deeds. But no, this is a never ending game of communication SNAFUS, I feel like I'm watching Benny Hill in slomo sometimes! Lastly, yes, why wouldn't Georgiana, the Duke, and Jolly all have a sit down to discuss this new arrangement, which benefits all three of them. The Duke would surely be able to perform to at least give Georgiana children should she wish, and the rest would be easy peasy to work out. It aint rocket science, its just grouse huntin'...
  9. Adin, Fire, and that nice guy who raised his siblings all should not have gotten to Hollywood, but AI used them fortheir backstories and now what? Adin seems to have a good family support system and a good job teaching so he will be fine, and I believe Lionel will call him to write something so he's fine. But Fire? While I agree that her ahow stopper was her best singing to date that we've seen, you could tell by her face that she actually thought she had a chance to go farther, whi h tells me the judges et al blew a shit ton of smoke up her ass. Oh hoe I long for Randy's honesty - Look, Dawgs, singing just ain't your thing man, yannowhatImean? All this bullshit mumbo jumbo of 'Now you've got the fire and you're fire isn't going out again...you're gonna be fine...go on and do good rhings...or whatever the hell bullshit they told her. What the actual fuck do they think she's gonna do when she gets home? Start auditioning for dinner theater restaurants or hotel and bar lounges? She's not that good. She'll go right back to stripping because she needs money. If they really cared they'd tell her they'll pay her bills abd college fees while she goes to school and gets a degree in something useful. I hate how they use vulnerable people and act like they're doing them a favor. It's so damn cruel.
  10. If Meri and Janelle are signatories on their respective parcels of Coyote Piss Pass, then I doubt that Kotex and Sobyn can just up and sell those parcels without the legal permission of both Meri and Janelle. And if I were Janelle, I'd itemize every fucking dollar that Kotex owes her, and not sell for a penny less.
  11. Wait, what?!? I loathe the 'celebrity' brides, they're usually Z-List anyway, and annoying AF. There was one lady years back, who was marrying someone I think on the NY Yankees maybe? Anyway, she was like, "I'm marrying a very prominent professional athlete and we're having a bazillion people at our wedding so EVERYONE will be LOOKING at ME..." Girl please. I hate those brides.
  12. Yes, she appears to be highly paranoid, which if it's true and not manufactured drama, could be a result of too many drugs back in the day. But overall, I don't enjoy watching paranoid, unstable players. Has she made some astute comment and game play? She has. But overall, I could do without all the dramatic OTT histrionics with the facial expressions, etc. Enough already.
  13. I have long suspected she had an amazing therapist off camera who prepared her with a specific game plan that mapped out her road to freedom, including doing it all on camera for her own protection - both physical, emotional, financial, and legal. You could tell by the way she spoke to Kotex last season, that she had role played these scenarios many times until she was confident. And I'd assume a therapist who specializes in working with people in abusive situations also has connections to lawyers who are also highly experienced in such situations. She got out with as much as she could have because she had great support off camera, and I say good for her!
  14. That's SOP when you go to the Porkie Pig School of Emergency Medical Technicians, and your ambulance company is the ACME Ambulance Company, owned by Wyle E.Coyote...*mmmbeepbeep*
  15. Well kids, that's what you get after a lifetime of mumbling and #yougotthats...
  16. I don't get all the Carolyn love. I loathe her. I'm so tired of her addled brain responses, the weird faces and gestures. She and Yam Yam are the worst kind of players IMO because they are too emotionally unstable to stick with a plan.
  17. You guys realize that WE are being set up right? Because aint no way, no how that SyPh can stay away from GC. Nopers. She's gonna go back there, do a whole "It's a Wonderful Life" redux starring...Big Red Syphyllis. Then she's going to try to thwart Stark's plan by 'saving the day' and saving Diane from prison. And, and, and, my fucking head hurts just typing this shite out.
  18. My gut tells me that Charlotte and Ralph will have a reckoning where it comes to light that Ralph is really in love with Charlotte's sister, et voila! All is righted and Char can go off with Xander. However this will never be as satisfying as if she'd actually been with Sidney...Theo James is so damn handsome.
  19. It's totally suspect that we never saw Ophra's performance that got her voted out, yet we get Cam and J and Fire shoved Dien our throats...something smells rotten
  20. So much YES to your above post. My thoughts: The cell phone lyric duo would have been cut on the spot if the OG judges were there. That said, I do agree that their quick thinking was amusing and they didn't give up so there's that. But damn, have they never watched the show before, to think it's okay to sing off their phones?!? I agree, Nutsa's partner should not have been cut. And for the record, Nutsa is an entitled bitch who thinks she's all that, but she's not. She sings like an airport lounge singer, OTT. I loathed her attitude, then trying to gaslight her partner by suddenly saying 'we need to practice until we get it right' when she's the one who went to bed early. She pulled that bullshit because she was getting camera time and for no other reason. I really don't think her duet partner was bad either, she should have gone through instead of, say, Fire. Just sayin'. And that brings me to Fire and Kaya Stewart. First of all, I'm not really sure Kaya was all that sick, she didn't sound or look that ill. And if she was, why was she not masked and being watched for Covid? I got the distinct impression that during her audition she thought she was the shiz, then she shows up for Hollywood Week and realizes that she's not all that good after all, and she's probably going to get cut soon. So instead of getting cut publicly she quits citing she's sick. Whatever. People who really want to be there fight through that, last season didn't the winner get Covid during the competition? Yeah, that. So Kaya auditions with her famous daddy to get a spot on a competition show that, if she was any good she wouldn't need what with her daddy's contacts and all. It pisses me off when people like her, and the mother who quit to go back to her babies - these people aren't serious about this and they've taken spots away from people who really wanted it badly. Fuck that shit. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, Fire. I get it, the judges fell in love with her daughter and feel sorry for her because she's had a hard life thus far. But as others have already stated, she can't sing for shit. Like, not at all. There is no way she's even coming close to Top 10, so why prolong this? Who's watching her daughter right now? When she gets cut what is she going to do? Suddenly be able to become a singer in an airport hotel bar, or go back to stripping? If the judges really cared about her, they'd have had a convo amongst themselves and then offered her this: "Look you're not at the level to make a career of singing, but we want to help you. So we're going to pay for you to go back to school and get a degree in something that will allow you to support you and your daughter without stripping. We will pay all your housing and expenses while you're at school so you can stop stripping and get your degree faster." That? Would have been heaps more helpful than allowing her to think she's going to sing her way out of stripping and poverty. Which brings me to so many of these contestants who think THIS IS IT. That their lives will change after AI. I'd like to know how many who don't make Top 10 go back to what they were doing before AI. Okay, enough ranting... They tell us Ophrah didn't make the cut to Duet week but she was like the best singer in all the auditions, at least to my ears. Most of those they showed getting through were awful, again IMO. So why didn't we see her in Week 1? Did we see her and I forgot? I feel like I'd have remembered because she was that good. RE: Cam and J, that was so self centered of J, and Cam should have said, "Sorry but no. This is too important for me and I was up all night rehearsing so I could since myself." That said, I don't really understand if Cam was up all night working on his song so he'd be ready to sing alone, why wasn't he more prepared when he was on stage? I would have sent J packing after that stunt. If you are so up your own ass that you cannot see the gift you've been given, then you're just not ready for it. Also worth saying, I didn't think Cam was all that in his audition either. I just think the judges were voting based on the raw deal life had dealt him. He sings marginally better than Fire but not by much. And again, it would be more helpful if they helped him get a college degree instead of being on this show because I just don't see him coming close to Top 10 either. It's cruel to send these kids, based on their hardship stories (which I also feel for them), because WTF are they going to do the day after they're cut loose from this show?
  21. I'm not sure if you've read the books or not, but as this is the non book reader area, I would beg to differ. The Show has not really shown us all these multiple settlements, at least not that I've seen nor remembered. The Fisher Folk scumbags have their place, yes, we've seen that. Other folks seem spread out here and there and I don't remember seeing other settlements unless I fell asleep. Other than the Fisher Folk and Brownsville, what other settlements have we been shown? Usually random folks just turn up on J&C's doorstep or we see the odd family compound scattered about.
  22. I encourage you to watch all the YT videos listed in the first post of this thread. They give you a lot of co text that helps you understand what the series is trying to do. It was really interesting.
  23. Well at least we might be finally rid.of Leanna Love! Like how Nikki threw SyPh under the bus so quickly when she pointed out it qas Phylthy who brought Stark into town. Mixed feelings about bringing back JT Halstrom. I mean, if he gets back with MoP and we no longer have to watch her in heat over Nate, I guess I could get with that story line... I'm enjoying Tucker playing Audra once again re JT. He's really good... Meanwhile Sharon stands around with her overly botoxed mug, she was such a beautiful woman and it pains me to see her using fillers and such.
