  1. ...and make sure you keep your phone, apparently.
  2. It's post like this that make me wish there were an "Angry" response (in addition to Like, Useful, Laugh, Surprise and Sad). Not angry about the post at all.... just angry about Erika (and Teresa) and how they get away with despicable behavior. 🤬 It's hard to think "nothing bad will never, ever happen to you because of who you are and what you have," when -- in fact -- your good friend Kyle's house was broken into in 2018. Or, looking at it from the flip side: Dorit went from begging the robbers to spare the lives of her children to negotiating to keep her phone....? If they're getting ready to leave, why slow that process down (and risk pissing the robbers off) by starting a negotiation over something that is just a drop in the bucket compared to everything else they were taking and could easily be replaced?
  3. Do you mean Cameo? Yes, but of the six videos she's posted so far, I believe only one was an ad. The latest TikTok post was talking about what HP house she's in, Truly's in, etc.
  4. You did! At the end of the first paragraph. 😉
  5. As this came up in Part 2 of the Reunion, from People magazine, March 16th: Rihanna has her eyes of a few Bravo stars when it comes to her preparations for motherhood. During a recent interview with Elle, the 34-year-old singer — who is expecting her first baby with boyfriend A$AP Rocky — opened up about her future life as a mom as she enters her third trimester. She admitted that, as a fan of The Real Housewives franchise, she admires the parenting style of Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice. "Teresa from Jersey does not play about her kids," Rihanna told the outlet. "She will flatten you about those kids. And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that's the type of mom I'm going to be. Psycho about it." The Grammy winner then quipped that she'll actually be "worse" than Giudice, adding, "You talk about my kids, it's over." Rihanna also said she admires Heather Dubrow from The Real Housewives of Orange County, adding that she's "so chic while being a mom." I didn't have much of an opinion about Rihanna before last night. Now I think she's an idiot. If Teresa is your mothering goals, I have to question how you're planning to raise your kids.
  6. Gail pointed to a piece of paper when she stopped Jackson and asked him to explain who cooked what. He really blew it though. Explaining the dishes could possibly make a difference. I know that they say you eat first with your eyes, but you could probably make a case for eating first with your ears, if the dishes are described in a way that makes them sound very tempting. I agree -- the only dish that the judges didn't seem 100% sold on at Matriarc (grrrr... the missing H) was the salmon dish. And, while she was calm, it seemed like she maybe could have found a way to help get the salmon dishes out more quickly when there was clearly a lag in service. A lawsuit on what grounds? Whether it's ethical or not, a chef relying on other people's opinions about your dish is on the chef and no one else. No one forced Luke to take Jackson's advice -- which actually ran counter to the advice of the other two teammates. I thought the same thing....she was essentially standing around watching while he plated HER dish. Princess Diana was famous for that pose (head down, looking up). 🙋‍♀️ Another old person here. There didn't seem to be any reason for dropping the H other than to misspell the word purposely (which is not a good enough reason, in my book). But he waited until after they had all had a chance to make their case in front of the judges. He told them when the judges were deliberating, so it was pretty much too late at that point for the others to use it against him with the judges.
  7. Then, Teresa should stop insisting that Melissa put "family" first -- insisting that Melissa back Teresa no matter what. Because Teresa certainly doesn't do that for Melissa. Teresa, like many hypocrites, is blind to her own faults, but quick to judge others for any (perceived) wrong done. Plus, she's got to be the dumbest housewife in all of the RH franchises. Dumb + hypocritical + reacts violently at the slightest provocation = someone that must be a nightmare to deal with in real life, let alone just on the show. Melissa dodged a bullet not being asked to be a bridesmaid.
  8. No, they got married on New Year's Eve 2016 in a glitzy ceremony in Palm Beach, but the marriage lasted only seven months. They jointly filed for divorce in August 2017. And, of course, you know that's what would happen. If Teresa and Luis don't work out, it will be everyone's fault but hers***. *** = in her mind.
  9. If she's Catholic, I don't think she can marry Luis in the church. I'd think it would be pretty hard to argue with a straight face that her original marriage to Joe should be annulled (I'm assuming their marriage was a church wedding). Exactly! Just like LuAnn, she doesn't want to hear about anything. Willful ignorance.
  10. I don't love Teresa, but I agree with you 100% on this. At some point, with multiple stories out there, you go, "What's the common denominator here?" And it's Luis. Either that or he's got a really bad "picker" when it comes to girlfriends, which doesn't say much for Teresa. Hmmm... surprised that her leggings didn't solve that problem for her. (Right, Margaret?) 😉 I know that Kathi W. was never the most well-liked housewife (I always liked her, but then, per above, I'm not a Teresa fan), but the dessert spreads that she would do for holidays were amazing!
  11. Now, I'm curious. It seems like you've intentionally avoided watching the Boston season. Why? This (i.e., the first) NOLA season is the only one I have on DVD and I honestly can't remember why at the time I decided to buy it (maybe because there was bonus footage or something?). It wasn't even my favorite season, although I liked it. I think I watched the DVD once and I've never watched it again, but I might have to dig it out now... And, I'm with @DrivingSideways: I preferred the seasons through Chicago and basically stopped watching (at the time) after that***. After Chicago, it was the first RW season in Las Vegas, right? That first Las Vegas season was the one where I kind of went, "What am I doing watching this crap?" (YMMV!) *** I LOVE The Challenge and so I ended up in the last year or so going back and watching some of the RW seasons that fairly recent Challenge contestants were on: San Diego #2, Key West, Brooklyn, NOLA #2, Skeletons (Chicago #2), Ex-plosion (San Francisco #2), etc.
  12. As noted by snarts above, Teresa is turning 50 soon. The chances of her conceiving naturally are virtually nil, she would almost definitely have to use a donor egg and go through IVF. (Although that would be an interesting story on the show -- Teresa asking Melissa for an egg or to be a surrogate.) As someone who lived for quite a while in the NJ/PA/NY area, but moved to Florida about 15 years ago, here's a fun fact I learned: It's never hit 100 degrees in South Florida. (The highest temperature ever recorded in Miami was 98 degrees and it was in 1948.) Now, the temps will be in the lower-to-mid 90s for months and months on end down here, but we never get those super hot (100+ degree) days that you get on some days in the summer up North. Lots of people move to FL for the weather, but I moved here despite the warmer year-round weather. I miss having four seasons, but I digress... I think because it seemed so obvious she thought it had to be a trick question. I don't recall her answering incorrectly -- I thought she just paused with a 'deer in the headlights' look and never really answered.
  13. Agree with all of this -- 100%! The ladies all seemed to loosen up and have fun at the recording studio. They all (except Melissa) pretty much admitted they couldn't really sing (still, I'm sure each of them was better than I would have been), but who cares? I'd rather watch these ladies or the OC ladies than watch someone who can't sing much better, but acts like we should take them seriously (yes, Luann, I'm looking at you). The husbands seem to revert automatically to 13-year-old mentality when they get together, but it's harmless fun. Teresa is that awful combination of really dumb and really mean if everyone's not bowing down to her. Her sense of entitlement is disturbing to watch. She claims to be in a love bubble, but is all worked up over people talking about Luis. Seems to me, if there's no truth to it, she shouldn't care. Wasn't that basically her argument when she spread rumors about Evan last year? Her hypocrisy knows no bounds. It almost physically pains me knowing that by watching the show, we're lining her pockets.
  14. What I would love to see -- instead of shocked! looks or shrugs/indifference -- would be for one of the other teams to let out a cheer and start high-fiving each other.
  15. The first time my husband and I spoke on the phone, way back in 1999, we spoke for seven hours. 🙂 (We're still together -- our 20th wedding anniversary is this summer -- when you know, you know. ) Lots of people seemed to share this view; picked this one to quote just because (not singling you out, DA6988). I'm reminded of the George Constanza quote on Seinfeld, "Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon... you know, cause I've worked in a lot of offices, and I tell you, people do that all the time." Perhaps Susie thought that it was something so obvious (to her) that she didn't need to say it? I can't imagine having a conversation with someone that, in theory, you're getting engaged to in a matter of weeks where you have to clarify, "by the way, just in case you're wondering, I'm not okay with you having sex with other people right before proposing to me." (Not surprisingly, I'm also very unforgiving of people who think they should get a pass for things that happen at their bachelor/bachelorette parties.) I guess I'm in the minority. People say "I love you" all the time to friends, etc. Feeling some sort of love for people in this situation wouldn't bother me as much; acting on it (or, worse, saying those words just to be able to act on it) would bother me. Agreed.... I think he thought that it somehow made it better. Exactly, if you're so easily manipulated that you think your best course of action is to sleep with three different women in three days, then propose to one of them days later, you're clearly not ready to get engaged, let alone married. I understand that the point of the show has shifted so that now it's more about your standing in Bachelor Nation, social media followings, etc. and less about falling in love and getting married. What I find it hard to understand is how these Bachelors/Bachelorettes can meet the families and, with a straight face, claim to have real feelings, knowing that it's somewhat nonsense. Personally, I'd feel terrible; but I guess it's all part of the "game."
  16. Rachel's kayaking outfit was a terrible choice. The shorts looked horrible on her and, to make matters worse, they used a camera angle near the beginning where the inches of her dark roots were on full display. I almost felt sorry for her.
  17. First example that springs to mind: a "normal" person (didn't create the peril; doesn't have a special relationship with the victim; etc.) is not required to help a person in distress... you can literally stand by and watch them drown. Legal? Yes. Ethical? No. Happy to see my favorite show, L&O, back. I'm very easy to please, so I liked it. I think some of the strangeness...new characters...will become familiar soon enough. It did seem like the acting felt a bit forced...especially during the Law(?) (police) scenes. Hopefully it won't take too many episodes for them all to settle into their roles.
  18. It was interesting to me that Todd/Todrick/Miesha didn't seem to consider (at least from what I saw -- I'll confess I was multitasking while watching) the possibility that Cynthia wins POV and pulls Carson down, making both of them safe. I would think the (albeit slim) chance that that could happen would have led them to put Cynthia and Carson both on the block. Also interesting that Lamar didn't think twice about confessing that the reason his vote took so long was because he was thinking of voting Miesha out.
  19. Not sure if this is the right spot for this, but... Per The Challenge's FB page, "The Challenge All Stars returns to Paramount+ for Season 3 on May 11! Twenty-four of the most iconic, boldest, and fiercest challengers will test physical and emotional boundaries to prove who is the best of the best."
  20. Slightly off topic, but... as someone with horrible eyesight, I have to laugh when it's time to pick out frames. Without my glasses on I can barely see, so it's hard for me to tell what looks good and what doesn't. I usually give up after trying on three or four pairs and just pick one and hope for the best. It would be great if I could drag someone with me to give me an honest opinion, but that hasn't happened the last few times I've had to pick out frames. Although, I stick to plain-ish frames to be safe. Big, bold, "look at my glasses!" frames are not my thing. Back on topic: they look very happy in the pictures. I'm happy for them.
  21. Maybe I need to Google her, but Mary was talking about Jennie (not Jen Shah). Has a lot of negative stuff about Jennie come out? ETA: I Googled and found the answer: offensive social media posts from Jennie.
  22. I agee 100% with everything in your post. My take on the whole Vinny-Angelina thing is that she made it up because she was trying to direct attention away from herself, but didn't expect the extremely negative reaction it received. Then, she doubled down. But Vinny (and everyone else, to be honest) completely overreacted. I can only imagine it's because they know they need to bring the drama for the good of the show. I was confused why Vinny was acting and talking about his move to L.A. being a failure. It was his lifelong dream (according to him) to move to L.A.; he did it and decided that he preferred the East Coast. How is that a failure? I can hardly conceive of the possibility that Deena, Angelina and Jenni didn't know about Vinny moving back. If they really meant to surprise him, they would have gone straight to his house without calling first. Also, if they actually didn't know, then Deena and Angelina are pretty crappy friends to Jenni for not calling her and telling her not to bother coming. Jenni, not flipping out and apparently taking it all in stride, was pretty strong evidence that she knew what was going on and the whole "girls trip" was concocted by the producers and she was somehow obligated to appear. I'm not even going to mention the whole placenta thing (can't remember if that was last night's episode or last week's -- I watched them both last night). Disgusting! Also, I cry foul on Mike having to be re-baptized. Lauren has mentioned in articles that she's "always been Catholic," so I'm assuming for purposes of the rest that follows that Romeo's baptism is being done in a Catholic church. My family moved around a little bit, but when I got married it was pretty easy getting the documentation from the three different churches where I had been baptized, had my First Communion, and had been confirmed. It's been almost 18 years, but I don't even remember having to show any kind of documentation in order for my daughter to be baptized (which wasn't the same church as those where I received my first three Sacraments or where I got married). If I did, it was more likely relating to the godparents, not me and/or my husband. But, again, it was years and years ago and we wouldn't have had an issue providing documentation, so I might just not be remembering. In any event, if this really was some sort of recordkeeping error (and I'm highly skeptical because I know at least for Catholics you can submit an Affidavit for Missing Baptism Records), the quickest/easiest thing would be for a priest or bishop to (re)baptize Mike at the church where he and Lauren are currently members and where Romeo will be baptized. Based on previews for the season, it looked like Mike's re-baptism was a big production involving a pool and a crowd of people, which I can't imagine is something their current church would be thrilled with. So, I'm left with this, like a lot on this show, is being done simply for plotlines and not because their church is actually insisting upon it. Also, I've seen pictures of Mike and Lauren wearing a tuxedo and a fancy white dress, respectively, for Romeo's baptism. Every baptism I've ever attended in a Catholic church has been after a mass at the church's baptismal font. If the parents showed up dressed in formal wear, I wouldn't be surprised in the priest started wondering if the parents were taking it seriously. Sigh...
  23. I'm pretty sure it's not a series finale, as I've heard they've already been filming the next season (Season 17?). Meanwhile, I'd love for a "Counting On"-type spin-off of Christine, Janelle and the non-Robyn adult kids. (US Magazine is reporting that Janelle is "seriously considering" leaving Kody.)
  24. Janelle is -- supposedly, per an "insider" -- "seriously thinking" about leaving Kody. https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/sister-wives-split-janelle-strongly-considering-leaving-kody/ Following Christine’s lead? Sister Wives star Janelle Brown might be next to leave Kody Brown after he and Christine Brown split last year, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “Janelle meant it when [she] said she would leave Kody,” the insider tells Us. “It’s going to happen.” The 52-year-old reality star previously opened up about feeling her relationship with Kody, also 52, could be coming to an end during the Sunday, January 16, episode of TLC’s Sister Wives. “I’ve had to really think. My children are almost grown and there’s not a huge necessity anymore to stay. It was a wonderful way to raise children,” she told the cameras. “With Kody and I right now, our relationship is pretty strained. And you know, it’s easy to walk away.” Kody exchanged vows with Janelle in 1993. His other wives include Meri Brown, whom he wed in 1990, and Robyn Brown, who he married in 2010. Because polygamy is illegal in the United States, only his union with Robyn, 43, is recognized by law. The source tells Us that Janelle has observed the positive impact breaking up had on Christine, 49, who married Kody in 1994. “She sees how happy Christine is now that she’s ‘free’ from Kody and is strongly considering separating from him too,” the insider added. “Christine and Janelle are very close and they have conversations about it.” The estranged couple confirmed their split in November 2021. “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” Christine wrote via Instagram at the time. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.” The salesman added in his own statement: “Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.” After their split, another source told Us that Kody was concerned about the others following Christine. “If anything, it sort of inspired the others in one way or another to reevaluate their position,” the insider revealed at the time. “[Janelle’s] really close to Christine, so she’s in constant communication with her. … [Kody’s] trembling and worried that Meri or Janelle are going to leave him.” Kody is the father of 18 children. Christine is mother to six: Asypen, 26, Mykelti, 25, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11. Janelle, meanwhile, shares Logan, 27, Maddie, 26, Gabriel, 20, and Savanah, 16, with the Wyoming native.
  25. Doing a rewatch of past seasons, including this one. I realize very few of the challengers are mental giants, but "my" is basic elementary school grammar. On that note, I cringe every time Tony says, "So, we're in agreeance?" In Tony's case, I think he's trying to sound smart, and, yes, agreeance is technically a real word, but it's an obsolete word. Just says "we're in agreement" like a normal person.
